Eiffel has accidentally called Minkowski mom more than once. He thinks everyone forgot about it, but it became a running joke. When talking to Minkowski, Lovelace likes to refer to Eiffel as ‘your kid’ or 'the boy’.
Lovelace: Where’s your son got to?
Minkowski: Will you please stop calling him that? He’s not my freaking child. I’m only three years older.
Lovelace: Well, technically. But has Eiffel ever actually behaved like a 33 year-old?
Hera: No, never.
Minkowski: Just because he’s a child doesn’t mean he has to be my child though. Why aren’t you or Hera part of this messed-up family metaphor?
Lovelace: Okay then, I’ll be… the cool mysterious aunt. What about you Hera?
words : 1163, woah. warnings : cursing here and there. uh I think that’s it? A/N : hello! this is my first story I’m posting for the teen wolf fandom. hehe I read a lot of the fics on here. so I wanted to do my own!! so here you go and enjoy! and THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE WONDERFUL PERSON THAT IS @were-cheetah-stilinski BECAUSE SHE PROOF READ THIS (sort of lol) AND SHE’S SO NICE. AND YES THERE WILL BE A PART TWO.
Scarlet Cape and Bigby Wolf are two misunderstood characters to their respective fairytales, Bigby is often described as a big brutish wolf who blows down houses, eats grandmother’s, and is an all around baddy. The village prides itself on having bared the most beautiful daughter in all the land, Scarlet. The village coos about her beauty, mannerisms, and how delicate she is. Like that of a flower. But what the people don’t know is that they are both quite the opposite.
Gaby is not, in general, a restless sleeper. she tends to cling like a limpet to anyone who sleeps besides her, winding around them like morning glory around a pillar. if by herself, she sleeps on her side usually, arms and legs tucked in close to her body, head resting on her arms.
Illya is watching her, because their lives are too busy to take moments of quietness for granted. even in sleep her face is focused, brow furrowed, mouth pursed. he wants to smooth the lines from her forehead, relax the tight corners of her mouth. it is early morning now, dawn just starting to lighten the distant ceiling of their shared room.
she isn’t a happy waker usually, either, so Illya has to get creative about ways to wake her up that put her in a (more or less) reasonable mood.
it’s an easy thing to tug the fabric of her pajama pants down, revealing the curve of a hip, warm skin. she took a bath before bed the other night; she smells like jasmine and car oil, which is the first time Illya has ever liked that scent. he ducks his head down and places a soft kiss right where he likes to place his hand, if their cover requires it (or if he wants to feel her there, soft strength beneath his palm, or if he simply likes the shape of her, neat and perfect). it’s a gentle thing, until he places the very edge of his teeth into it and she uncoils into wakefulness, making a complaining sound as she does so. “are you part wolf?” she asks in German, voice thick and slurred with sleep. “stop that.”
“you liked it last night,” he reminds her, foolishly pleased at her drowsy, unamused stare.
she makes another grumpy noise. “I was awake last night.”
“you have to be awake now,” he points and soothes whatever leftover sting there might be with his lips. “time to get up, chop shop girl.”
“it isn’t even dawn,” she grouses, but one hand lazily tangles in his hair. “keep doing that and I might be alright with getting up.”
it’s a blatant stalling tactic, but if truth be told, he doesn’t feel like leaving the bed either.
Usagi Simoun is basically trying to Make Shit Happen, while everyone else seems pretty okay with letting the squad just fall to pieces. There are a half dozen things that could be her true motivation (and I am legit interested in them), but none of that matters right now. I really like her tactic here with Neville. We already know she doesn’t buy into this priestess thing for a single second, but if Neville does, that’s fine, YOU STILL HAVE TO DO SHIT. Whatever you tell yourself to get out of bed and get in the fucking robot, Shinji.
Anyone remember how Jillian is Sans in @jacedraws101 ’s daycare? Well she grew up sorta fast because she’s part monster/Wolf, so here she is today! I think I’ll call her… Wolf. Just cuz ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
She chose the right daycare to go to ;D
The only Simoun still flight-worthy belong to these guys. Everyone’s a bit shook, but particularly Usagi Simoun. Throughout their time with Nene NotQuiteASimoun, she said everyone’s name apart from Usagi Simoun’s, which was bugging the shit out of her. It didn’t help that it was also what she cried out just before the bomb exploded, and Usagi Simoun can’t figure out what the fuck.
Turns out that in Nene’s language, Usagi Simoun’s name means “the love of God”. This is the first thing that’s really staggered her. She loses her confidence and certainty of what she’s doing and why, which is nice to see, but I’m not sure I’m following why.
Though perhaps it’s as simple as the idea of having something outside of yourself to fight and die for. Usagi Simoun wants to avoid having to go to the Spring, and it’s basically her be all and end all. So long as she doesn’t have to go there, she’s pretty okay with whatever she needs to do. Nene NotQuiteASimoun sacrificed everything she could, presumably for no more than the love of something Usagi Simoun doesn’t even necessarily believe in, and she’s not sure she could ever go there.
What I’m getting from Neville is that that’s fine. “You don’t have to answer now,” she says to Usagi Simoun wondering if it’s so bad that her motivation pretty much begins and ends with not wanting to go to the Spring. More, she says that the two of them are different in every way, except in their uncertainty, as Neville doesn’t know if being a priestess and fighting is the right thing to do either.
I like that Usagi Simoun is doubting now, and that Neville seems to have finally put her doubts behind her. but I’m not sure I’m completely there with Usagi Simoun’s sudden crisis with her certainty. Or at least in it coming about NOW. I agree that the name thing was kind of uncomfortable and weird, and I could certainly see her questioning a lot of the choices being made by a whole bunch of people. I could even see her wondering if her dedication to not going to the Spring is worth all this, and wondering if them using the Simoun is simply escalating this conflict rather than working toward ending it. THERE’S A LOT TO QUESTION IS WHAT I’M SAYING. I’m just not sure that Usagi Simoun’s personal desire to not have to follow this inexplicable Spring shit is the part that should be thrown into chaos. Did all of this suddenly make her know if she wanted to be a woman or a man? Did that choice suddenly crystalize? I’m going to guess no, so really her core issue is unaffected by all of this.
I really like the moment, I’m just not sure I’m enjoying the path we took to get here.
