she's just a really real person

I love Sidon more than the next person. I make references to him constantly in real life, driving my family mad. I love Link and his cute ponytail, his excited smile when he cooks, and I am excited to ship them both. But, I have seen people be extremely rude to Mipha’s character because of the ship. I love Sidlink a ton, but Mipha is my pure little baby. I love her and her tons of jewels, her beautiful eyes, her sweet smile, and how she cares so much for Link. Please respect Mipha and love her as a character, and your Sidlink wishes. I doubt she wouldn’t be on board.

  • one of my fave inoshikacho dynamics tbh is shikamaru bein defensive of choji against ino bein… kind of a body-shaming bitch lol. that said i also see the reverse happening of choji defending ino when shikamaru’s being a fuckin misogynist. when they all get older they apologize for bein cruel to each other. except choji bc he did nothing wrong and we’re all very proud of him
  • ino’s the first person choji comes out to when he realizes he’s gay. tbh it woulda been shikamaru but he’s gay for shikamaru so that’d be a bad idea. ino’s really gentle and respectful tho. she considers coming out to him right back but she doesn’t wanna make it all about her and just helps him out. after the emotional part of the convo is ovr tho she says “im gnna b real i thought you and shikamaru were already dating?” and choji goes “oh my god are we” (they kind of are)
  • this is just shikacho but this video is so shikamaru and choji and i laugh abt it constantly
  • they’ve ofc all been friends since they were like 2. ino was really embarrassed about it from like age 5-12 tho and tried not to talk to them. sometimes she’d cry bc she missed them so much tho. she still has drawings they all did together hanging on her walls
  • bc of that embarrassment stage shikamaru and choji dont rly know sakura that well until later on and ino’s very worried they wont like her but they do and she likes them too and ino’s so happy
  • shikamaru has no shame about how much he loves his friends despite what a crotchety asshole he is sometimes. he’s the type to only use social media to check ino and choji’s blogs/facebooks and likes every single one of their posts

Auntie Bells

by reddit user Pippinacious

Auntie Bells wasn’t really my auntie, or anyone else’s for that matter. I’m not sure she even had any real family at all. It was just what everyone called her. She’d been a fixture in the neighborhood since long before I was born and there wasn’t a single person who didn’t at least know of her.

She was something of a living legend; a crazy cat lady type without the cats. It wasn’t unusual to look out your window in the dead of night and see Auntie Bells shuffling down the street, big walking stick clutched in one hand, her tameless hair shining white in the moonlight. And if you didn’t see her, you’d hear her. Auntie Bells took her name from the bracelets she wore on both wrists, strands of twine run through a countless number of tiny bells that tinkled with her every movement.

homestuck is great cause there’s not just stellar lgbt+ representation, but there’s so many different approaches to sexuality.

  • Rose is obviously not straight, and never really has any deep soul-searching or personal arc related to that. She just is, and everyone (including her) just accepts that and moves on.
  • On the flip side, Dave’s entire personal arc is directly related to compulsory heterosexuality and internalized homophobia. He goes on a serious journey to discover who he’s attracted to and what that means to him.
  • Meanwhile Jake is generally questioning, and even at the end (pre-credits, idk about after) has no real idea what his sexuality is. and the best part is, he’s pretty much okay with that.
  • And Dirk is 100% only attracted to men, and (being dirk) has clearly thought about it before, but is really hesitant to deal with labels. he just dates who he likes and that’s about it.
  • Finally there’s Roxy, who is basically attracted to everyone and mostly seems like she just doesn’t care about defining what that means.

I could go on, but I really love how it showcases how different everyone is and that there’s no real ‘right’ way to do sexuality. It’s ultimately just whatever makes you happy.

So after watching Hidden Figures I’ve been researching the lives of the main three protagonists and I found something really beautiful???

Karl Zielinski, the Polish Jewish man who in the film encourages Mary Jackson to go get her engineering degree is based on a real person! The real man’s name was Kazimierz Czarnecki and I wish that they’d left his real name in the narrative. He was a long time mentor of Mary and they even published a whole bunch of scientific papers together! And, when he retired, she threw a party for him.

Kevin Costner’s ‘Some White Men Were Good During Segregation’ plotline was utterly useless, unnecessary and complete historical revisionism designed to make white people feel comfortable. If they wanted a white male protagonist, they should have focused on the achievements of Kazimierz Czarnecki instead and celebrated the solidarity between Jewish people and Black people.

“My whole family loves ‘Parks and Recreation’ and I had a great time filming that scene. It was a real honor that in my sitcom debut I got to meet someone like Leslie Knope, who believes so deeply in public service. She’s an example for men and women across the country that there’s no higher calling than helping other people. On a personal note, I’ll never figure out how Leslie Knope got my home phone number, but that really just shows how committed she is.”

An insecure person will unconsciously seek out relationships with men who are insecure and who will make them feel more insecure. They will want the unavailable guys, the guys who can’t commit, the guys who have walls up. These are the ones they will feel infatuated by, not the ones who show real, genuine interest. Oftentimes this happens because on an unconscious level, the insecure girl feels that if she can break through his walls, or get him to change his ways,   then   she’ll really be worthy and valuable. This never, ever works. Instead, she just ends up compromising her integrity even further by chasing the relationship.

That relationship, to me, was so beautiful. Cassandra says to her at the end, “You did save me.” There’s a beautiful thought there, that this is a person who looked at Cassandra and didn’t see her gift, or weirdness. Didn’t see her illness. Just saw her for who she was, and reached out and made a real emotional and loving connection. That’s probably the first time that’s really happened to Cassandra, and so that relationship is really special and beautiful. I hope people feel that at the end of the episode, too.

I just can’t. Get over how important and good a character Farah Black is. Not only does she go against the ‘emotionless invulnerable black woman’ stereotype, she challenges the common use of the female badass stereotype in general. For example: she is not sexualized at all, and is a legitimately powerful woman instead of just being a powerless and faux badass character who’s really just there as eye candy.

Seriously. When was the last time we were given a strong female character who is allowed to show vulnerability and real, raw self-consciousness and self-doubt while still maintaining her status as a perfectly able person who is often more skilled than those around her?

Seriously she’s just, so important and cool. I just love Farah Black so much you guys.

When Pidge is mouthing off to Commander Iverson, Lance saves her from being punished by making up an excuse for her actions.

Therefore bringing the full punishment down on him and most of the insult.

What I really liked about this scene is that even though Lance had no clue about her real identity and why she was being the way she was to Commander Iverson, he still put his neck out on the line for her by making up that excuse.

Pidge and Lance weren’t close enough to be called friends at the beginning of the series, but close enough to be called teammates. So he didn’t even know her enough as a PERSON to really risk his own enrollment at the academy.

But he does it anyway.

That’s just the type of person Lance is, while he may have an ego the size of the Sun and is a impulsive flirt: He cares about his family, teammates, and friends enough to put their needs in front of his own if the situation demands it.

(Thanks for not removing anything. You’re the best

alex played in the nwsl for 4 years, suffered injuries due to garbage nwsl facilities, and only complained when things really affected her team and not just herself. if you don’t think she has a right to do something for herself for once to help her achieve her own personal goals you can press that unfollow button real quick xo

Some thoughs about yatori

Hey guys. This is something that i wanted to do a long time ago.. and here it is! As you all know, Yato and Hiyori are the sweetiest couple ever.. ( in my oppinion xD) and i think everyone knows that Yato has feelings for Hiyori. However, is it just a habit or a real love?

Look at their relationship in the manga:
As you know, Yato has never been in love before. He has never had friends and real family. He was all alone. Everybody that he knew, forgot him. And just one simple day, she appeared in his life like a hurricane. Hiyori changed everything.  If she wasn’t here, Yato wouldn’t know what it means to have a family. He wouldn’t know how to be really happy.  Hiyori is the first human that cares for him. She is the first person who said she wants to be with him longer. Yato hasn’t felt this way before for someone. And what he is doing?

He doesn’t know how to love someone. Yato’s trying to get her attention. He’s jealous when Hiyori is with the other guys. He misses her when she comes home. He tries to be as close to her as possible.
And even…

Yato wants Hiyori to be his wife. He want’s to marry her but why?
What is marriage?
It’s being with someone no matter what. Yato wants to be with Hiyori NO MATTER WHAT. He wants to be sure that she will forever be by his side.

And here is the question.
Is it a real love..
or just a habit?

I think Yato truly loves Hiyori and he doesn’t want to let her go :) ♥
I will support their love as much as i can cause.. you know, he is a GOD.
And she is just a simple human. What if this would be impossible? :( Even so.. why Adachitoka would do all this scenes?
We just have to wait some time to know the answears. ;)

((I don’t know if this has been done, so if it has please tell me.))

So I’ve seen a lot of those ‘Humans are Space Orcs’ posts and I think those are really cool, but unnoticed they all consist of one thing: humans traveling with the aliens.

So there are a lot of ways you can do that, right? You could go all Star Trek and make it to where the humans and aliens all live together in harmony and travel space together and things like that. But I have a different idea and I think it’s pretty cool.

So humans don’t really know aliens exist. Obviously you have your conspiracy theorists and loons and the occasional 'abducted’ person, but for the most part it’s just generally accepted that aliens are fun and all, but they’re not /real/.

And then there’s this kid. He/she/they don’t really have a happy life, but they can’t really do anything about it. You can make them whatever you want, have any or of disorder or disability or just make them an angsty teen that comes from an unhappy home. They want to leave, but they’re too young, so they have to stay.

Then of course, the aliens come. But instead of crap like Independence Day (I say crap in a loving way, the movie was pretty good and I like it), the aliens just take one look at the kid, pick them up, and leave. That’s it. Nothing else. Just take the kid and go.

Of course the kid is terrified at first, but after like the first day or so they calm down because the aliens are treating them like gosh-darn royalty. They put the kid up in the nicest room on the ship, give them the best food they can muster from their rations, and provide for any kind of entertainment the kid might want. It’s like paradise, and the kid is happier than they’ve been in a while.

So the kid travels with these aliens on all sorts of cool adventures and throughout this period is when we get the 'Humans are Space Orcs’ discoveries. Like the kid will go up to random giant furry beasts and just glomp them and coo at them while the aliens are like “No that’s deadly it will kill you oh my god what is this kid doing?!?!” Or, if the kid has a uterus, come time for their period the aliens freak out because “Oh holy shmarda, the child is bleeding!! Why is the child bleeding?!” Hilarious antics and shenanigans ensue and the child is so happy with their new life that they never want to go back home.

Also included: drama when the aliens return to earth to find a human companion for the child (even though they didn’t ask for one you guys don’t have to do this really it’s fine) and the parents of the kid demand they be returned immediately. The kid doesn’t want to go back of course so the aliens have to fight for custody over the kid in court (I guess idk but something along those lines. Maybe the humans try to kill the aliens because the kid was “abducted” and that causes a lot of angst and problems.).

Idk just something that’s been floating about in my imagination for a while. I think it would be a really cool show though tbh like someone hire me.

So uhhhhh

God I’m actually hyperventilating here in real life, what the fuck is this show

Lapis finally fully admits she enjoyed doing what she did. She enjoyed it. She really did. But she hates that about herself, and that’s so important.

But Jasper…

Jasper misses the raw power Malachite granted her. This is a sick and twisted version of the Sardonyx event (if said event even can be more twisted). She’s addicted to the high of being fused, just as Pearl was. Exploiting another person to feel good.

Jasper’s groveling here, clamoring that she’s “changed” as if who she is is some sort of problem. She’s like an addict looking for a fix.

And Lapis made her that way. By no fault of her own, of course. Lapis never could have wanted something like this. But it’s what happened. It did happen.

This is a fucking tragedy. Neither character deserves any of this. No one’s at fault, no– they’re both victims here.

I just think it’s really funny how people get to speculate whether or not Melissa is dating Chris Wood and how/when it happened and things like that

but then I remember how we made a few jokes about her dating Katie and how we were immediately told how gross and disgusting we are for prying into someone’s life and how she is a real person and we shouldn’t assume things because we don’t know her

i don’t know I just find it hilarious haha don’t you??

I’m playing jumins route again to get the neutral ending and I was reminded of exactly how manipulative Rika was.
It’s odd, because the game juxtaposes the image of her as a sweet loving person and the reality of her as a deeply disturbed person who enjoys inflicting pain on others.its hard to determine whether the Rika that is loving and kind is real or just a mask she wears. Does she really, on some level, care about the members of the rfa? Deep down, does she actually feel love and compassion for them? I wasn’t sure at first but now I have a better idea.

With Jumin, Rika shows concern for him and gets him a pet that he can express his emotions to. It seems like a positive thing for him, but he overdoes it and becomes obsessed with the cat because he sees her as an extension of Rika, his unrequited love. But here, we see a hint that Rika knew of Jumins feelings for her.
In this specific VVM, she confesses to Jumin her dream of having a perfect reality where there is no pain and everyone is happy, and more of her bullshit philosophy. I see these moments as Rikas real personality showing through, and it’s in this moment where she’s opening up to Jumin that she teases him with the idea of them being together.

This changes their interactions for me. Rika says to V in the secret endings that she acts nice and loving but on the inside she has darkness in her heart. She’s aware of Jumins feelings for her and she dangles it in front of him like a treat. Everything she does seems like it’s part of this weird manipulative behavior after you read this VNM, and it makes me wonder about Rika:

Does she WANT to be everyone’s love interest? It seems like she enjoys being the one they rely upon, their motivation. When she goes over the deep end she doesn’t just found a cult based on the idea of a perfect paradise, she positions herself as the savior and the exalted one. She relishes in the attention. She relishes in everyone’s NEED for her.

She wants Jumin to love her, even if she doesn’t love him in return. It gives her power and pleasure. It makes her feel wanted and important. And I think it’s another reason why she’s such a fucking snake

I was going to share an in depth thing of the convos I’ve had with amy but I cut a lot of this out because I don’t want it to seem like im using amy for popularity or that im just boasting…now that she’s a real part of the team on marks channel it just seems appropriate to talk about now I guess?

it’s one story that warms my heart whenever I remember it and wanted to share

i cant fucking believe SU made its only good desi character a fucking love interest prop. Sworn To The Sword really seals the deal on how connie is nothing more than fusion fodder and her strength is only there to benefit steven. i know the end of the episode is all like “oh well that’s wrong she’s her own person” but the crew never actually….executed tht moral

and the fact the only notably strong human is a brown-skinned girl seems kind of playing into the whole “oh she’s just so ~exotic~ and that’s how she overpowers the whites” like fuck off it’s a real issue in nepal tht white ppl want to downplay the accomplishments of sherpas by saying theyre genetically different
