request: Hello! I was hoping you could do
a Jughead imagine where him and the reader are pre-relationship and the reader
confesses their love almost every day but Jug is too caught up in his writing
to notice? (Bonus if the other parts of the CoreFour are involved). Thanks!
Pairing: Jughead Jones x Reader
Description: Everyday (Y/N)
confesses her feelings for Jughead but they’re never heard
Warnings: one swear word
Word count: 1,201
A/N: ahh everyone thank you so much for all the kind
responses to my first imagine!! hope you enjoy!
We sat in our usual booth at Pop’s: him
feverishly writing his story and me staring at him as smitten as can be.
“Jughead?” I asked, glancing at the raven-haired
boy sitting across from me.
“Hmm?” he hummed, eyes remaining glued to the
“I just… I wanted to,” I paused for a moment,
taking a deep breath in. “I know we’ve
been friends for a while and that’s great, I love being your friend, but
sometimes I just think that… I don’t know, sometimes I want to be more.” He remained quiet, so I continued, “And if
you don’t feel the same that’s okay, I don’t want anything to ruin our
friendship.” I let out a big sigh and
looked up at Jughead. He was still
staring at his laptop. “Jughead!” I
exclaimed, causing him to jump slightly.
“What?” he asked.
My eyes widened.
“Did you not hear anything I just said?” I
inquired. Jughead’s eyebrows rose and he
bit his lip, breaking eye contact with me.
“I’m sorry, I was just really invested in my
story,” he apologized. I sighed and
shrugged, standing up.
“It’s fine, Jug, it wasn’t anything important,” I
assured him, grabbing my bag. “I’m gonna
head home, I have to work on my homework.”
He nodded and waved as I turned around and exited Pop’s. “Oh god,” I muttered under my breath as I
walked home, rubbing my temples.
Two days later, I found myself in the same
position: Jughead furiously typing and me preparing to confess my feelings.
“Jughead, I need to talk to you,” I said, more
demandingly than last time. Jughead
looked up from his laptop and nodded.
“Go ahead,” he said, then looked back down at his
“I-” Before I could start, Betty approached our
“Hey guys!” she greeted. I smiled, whereas Jughead kept his head
down. “Could I sit here with you guys?”
“Uh, yeah, of course,” I replied, scooching over
so she could sit next to me. She smiled
gratefully as she slid into the booth.
“Thanks, (Y/N). So what were you guys talking about before I
interrupted?” I bit my lip. Betty knew about my big crush on Jughead, all
of our friends knew. I glanced at her
and she nodded, understanding what I was trying to do. “Do you want me to leave?” she
whispered. I shook my head.
“No, no, you can stay.
Please, actually, I need the moral support.” She nodded and sat back in the booth. I sucked in a deep breath and started over, “So,
Jughead, as I was trying to say before, we’ve been friends for so long. But I like you. I’ve liked you for a while, and I even tried
to tell you a few days ago but you didn’t hear me. I just needed to tell you, and if you don’t
feel the same that’s fine. Just, please,
I want to at least stay friends with you no matter what.” Betty looked at me with a proud smile, subtly
sending me a thumbs up. Smiling back at
her, I turned to face Jughead.
“Jughead?” Betty asked, glancing between me and him. “Did you just hear what (Y/N) said?”
“Huh?” Jughead breathed, looking between me and Betty. “Betty, when’d you join us?” Betty and I exchanged a shocked glance, our eyes
wide and mouths agape. “What?”
“I’ve been here for five minutes,” Betty said, her voice
sharp. “Did you not hear anything (Y/N)
or I said?”
“Oh,” Jughead sighed.
“I did it again. I’m sorry, (Y/N). What were you trying to say?”
Betty started, “She was trying to tell you that she-”
“Has cheerleading practice tomorrow,” I interrupted
Betty. “I have cheerleading practice
tomorrow, and it’s gonna go pretty late, so I can’t meet you here tomorrow.” Betty cast me a disapproving glare, but
softened when I looked at her sadly.
Jughead, although usually clever and observant, did not notice this
“Okay,” he said, “that’s fine. You’ll still meet me here on Saturday though,
right?” I bit my lip, contemplating
making up an excuse. Quickly, I looked
to Betty for approval. She subtly
“Yeah of course,” I agreed cheerily. “Saturday.”
Jughead smiled and nodded. I
stood up and Betty followed suit, and we both exited the diner. Once we got outside, Betty stopped and turned
to look at me.
“What was that?” she whisper-yelled.
“I don’t know,” I groaned.
“It happened on Tuesday, too. He
never seems to hear me.”
“But you’re gonna try again, though,” she said. “Right?”
“I- I don’t know,” I sighed, and began walking. Betty followed suit. “I guess I’ll try again, but I don’t know,
maybe it’s not meant to be.”
“Not meant to be?” Betty repeated. “(Y/N), you and Jughead are, as Kevin likes
to say, endgame!” I laughed at the
terminology and shrugged, unable to think of a reply. “Please try, at least one more time.”
I assured her, “I’ll try.”
Two weeks later, I stood at my locker with Veronica and
Betty. Angrily, I slammed my locker
closed and then leaned up against it.
“It’s pointless!” I groaned, lightly banging my head against
the locker. “For two weeks I’ve tried,
two whole weeks! Every day, I go into
Pop’s and tell myself, ‘This is the day.’
Then I sit with him, build up the courage, and I tell him. And every day, he doesn’t hear me. Every fucking day!” Veronica and Betty both shook their heads.
“I can’t believe him,” Veronica seethed. “That’s ridiculous, he has to have heard you
at least once. He’s not deaf.” Betty nodded in agreement.
“Just try talking to him without his laptop,” Betty
suggested. “Make sure that he has no
distractions, just you and him.”
“Thank you,” I smiled.
“I’ll definitely do that tonight at Pop’s.”
“Why do it tonight,” Veronica drawled, looking past me, “when
you can do it now?” I turned around to
see Jughead down the hallway.
“Oh no,” I whined. “Not
now, not here.”
Ignoring my objections, Veronica called out, “Jughead!” He looked at us and nodded, walking over to
where we stood.
“Hey,” he greeted, leaning against the lockers next to me.
“Hi,” I smiled, twiddling with my fingers. Betty and Veronica exchanged smirks and edged
away from us, still remaining within earshot.
“Listen, I’ve been meaning to tell you something for a while and-”
“I know,” Jughead interrupted me. “And I never hear you. I know, I’m sorry.” I nodded, licking my lips.
“Yeah, it’s okay, I just feel like I should tell you now,
while I know I have your attention.”
Jughead laughed lightly. “I… I
like you, Jughead. More than friends.” Jughead’s eyes widened and I stopped. Every time he remained quiet at Pop’s I kept
going, but now I stopped, not knowing how to continue.
“You like me?” he asked.
“And you’ve been trying to tell me for two weeks?”
“Yeah,” I nodded. He
rubbed his face.
“Jesus,” he sighed. “I’m
“No, you’re not,” I told him. “I just- if you don’t feel the same way it’s
fine, but please don’t let this ruin our friendship. I couldn’t live with myself if-”

confession: i can’t find that scene where Ochako is jumping around in her cheerleader outfit cute b/c the whole reason she’s doing it is b/c she’s super fucking stressed and worried and nervous and she wants to become a hero for her parents, but she has to go against Bakugou of all people, and can she??? does she have it in her to face him and win??? and feels a little like she’s been letting herself down lately by relying too much on Izuku and her friends to get her by, and she’s trying so hard to be cheerful and she’s using the cheerleading stuff as a distraction to de-stress and to cheer herself up and to not focus on all those scary, terrifying thoughts
A/N: The idea for this one is that Jeff is the readers best friend and she broke up with her shit boyfriend Marcus and when she called Jeff for help he was too busy focusing on other stuff that the reader felt like he stopped caring. Then it ends with sugary sweet fluff and kisses and junk.
You walked around Sheri’s party, red cup in hand looking for your boyfriend Marcus. Huge parties weren’t usually your thing, but you got dragged along by not only him but all of your other friends. Hannah was too busy with Clay, Sheri was busy hosting, Jessica was getting her face sucked off by Justin, and Zach and Marcus were nowhere to be seen.
You walked outside and saw Jeff playing beer pong with Monty. You walked up next to him and stood by his side. He looked down and gave a soft smile before returning to his game.
“Hey, have you seen Marcus around?” You asked. He shook his head no, never turning to look at you. You watched as he aimed before shooting and landing the ball in the middle cup.
“This game is stupid.” You said with a chuckle. Jeff absentmindedly nodded and picked up another ball.
“Almost as stupid as you.” You said with a small smirk, attempting to gain his attention once again.
“Yeah, that’s great, Y/N. I’m a little busy right now.” He said. You looked down sadly and nodded before walking off to find Marcus. You weren’t having any fun and you were ready to go home. You pushed past the sweaty bodies and asked around, but nobody had seen him.
You finished looking downstairs and made your way upstairs. You opened door after door before coming to one at the end of the hallway. You heard moaning coming from inside and you were about to walk away until you heard a familiar voice.
You leaned against the door and heard his voice once again. You pushed open the door and your hand instantly flew to your mouth. He scrambled off the bed holding the blanket against him and began stammering out lame excuses. You looked at the girl and noticed she was one of the cheerleaders. Jenny Kyle.
“What the fuck is wrong with you, Marcus?!” You shouted angrily.
“Y/N, b-babe. I swear this, this meant nothing! S-she means nothing! This was an accident!” Marcus stammered out, stepping towards you. You backed away, tears pricking at your eyes and shook your head. He kept coming closer and when he got near you, you pushed him back at full force. He stumbled onto the floor and you leaned down to be in his face.
“We. Are. Finished.” You seethed before turning and storming down the stairs. You didn’t even try to cover your tears as they freely flowed down your cheeks. People stared as you walked past, but you didn’t care. You ran outside to find Jeff and saw him standing at the same table with another ball in his hand. You walked up to him and grabbed his arm pulling it down so you could whisper in his ear.
“Please take me home, Jeff.” You spoke, trying to keep your voice from cracking. Jeff groaned quietly and pulled his arm from your grasp.
“Can’t you get Marcus or Clay to do it? Jeez, Y/N, I’m trying to play.” He said in an annoyed voice. You scoffed and stormed away from him, not believing what he had said. You managed to find Tony in the crowd and convinced him to take you home. Thankfully, he knew you weren’t in the mood to answer any questions, so he didn’t even ask. He drove you home in silence and spent the night with you as you cried into his chest.
You woke up with your eyes puffy from crying, and Tony’s arm wrapped around yours. You shook him and his eyes slowly peeled open before meeting yours. He sighed as he saw your reddened cheeks.
“Hey, you gonna be alright? We don’t have to go. I can take you to Rosie’s and we can just skip a day.” He said as you climbed out of bed, before walking to your closet to find the comfiest outfit for the day.
“No thanks, T. I appreciate it though.” You said softly, your voice still scratchy from crying. He nodded and gave a sympathetic smile before standing and wrapping his arms around you, tightly pulling him into his chest.
“You’re gonna be alright, kid. I’ve got your back.” He said, placing a kiss on the top of your head. You sighed and wrapped your arms around him as well, trying to refrain from crying again, but of course a few tears escaped. Tony felt you shaking and pulled away before wiping your tears.
“Don’t cry. He isn’t worth your tears.” He said. You took in a deep breath and gave him a sad smile. He returned a small one before patting your shoulder and walking towards your door.
“I’ll be downstairs. I’ll drive you today, and we can stop for breakfast if you want.” He offered.
“Thanks for driving but we don’t need to stop.” You said. He nodded and walked out of your bedroom, leaving you alone to change. You pulled off your clothing and walked into your bathroom. You turned on the shower and stepped into it. You quickly cleaned yourself and stepped out, drying off and pulling on a pair of black skinny jeans, a matching tank top and a grey hoodie. You pulled your (Y/H/C) hair up into a ponytail and walked out. You walked downstairs to meet Tony and grabbed a pair of black combat boots similar to his.
You walked out and he drove you both in silence. When you arrived you had to part ways, but not before a reassuring hug.
You walked to your locker in silence, ignoring everyone in your path. You put in your combination and opened your locker, pulling out a few books.
“Y/N!” You heard a familiar voice call. You looked up and saw Jeff running towards you. You rolled your eyes and slammed your locker before turning and walking away. You could hear his footsteps growing closer and you sped up, trying your best to avoid him as he called your name. You felt his hand grab your shoulder before he stepped in front of you.
“Hey, you alright?” He asked, worry in his eyes. You scoffed and crossed your arms.
“Oh, so now you suddenly care?” You asked with a raised brow. Jeff looked at you in confusion and shook his head.
“What are you talking about, Y/N/N? I’ve always cared about you. You’re my best friend.” He said. You rolled your eyes and looked down.
“Didn’t seem like you cared last night. All you cared about was that stupid game.” You said pushing past him, walking to class. Jeff followed quickly and grabbed your arm, pulling you into an empty classroom.
“Jeff, what the hell? Let me go to class!” You exclaimed. Jeff just stared at you as you began to seethe.
“What, what happened?” He asked quietly. You scoffed and rolled your eyes.
“It didn’t seem important to you yesterday. Why should you care now?” You said angrily. Jeff ran his hands over his face and sighed.
“Monty had me in a bet and I wanted to win. You know how competitive I can get, Y/N.” He explained. You shook your head and looked away.
“That doesn’t give you an excuse to be an asshole. And if you seriously must know what happened, I broke up with Marcus because I caught him fucking another girl. Jenny Fucking Kyle.” You said angrily. Jeff stood there with his mouth agape and his eyes wide.
“Yeah, I walked in on them both. Great fucking sight to see, but of course you don’t care. My problems aren’t important.” You said with tears beginning to fill your eyes. Jeff noticed and walked closer to you. You shook your head and held a hand out to stop him, but instead he grabbed it and pulled you into an embrace.
You tried your hardest to fight him as you started crying but as he ran his fingers through your hair and whispered into your ear, you slowly stopped fighting and just began sobbing into his chest. He rubbed your back soothingly and you fisted his shirt tightly.
“Shh. It’s okay, Y/N. I’m here.” He whispered. You shook in his arms as you let every emotion free.
“Why would he do that to me, Jeff? What did I do to deserve that? Was I not good enough?” You cried. Jeff continued to shush you and calm you down.
“Hey, look at me.” He said, lifting your head up with his finger.
“Don’t you dare cry over him. You’re way too good for that douchebag. He doesn’t deserve you. And don’t you ever say you’re not good enough. You are beautiful, and smart, and funny, and unique and any guy would be lucky to have you. I know I would.” He said, whispering that last part, but it was loud enough where you heard.
He brought a hand to your cheek and brushed away a stray tear with his thumb. You licked your lips and he looked down as you slowly ran your tongue over them. He mirrored your actions and you did the same. He looked back into your watery (Y/E/C) eyes before leaning down and pressing his lips against yours.
Your eyes fluttered closed and your heart skipped at the feeling. His lips were soft and had a hint of strawberry and mint to them. You brought your arms up around his neck and pulled him deeper into the kiss.
You both broke away once your lungs began straining for air and you rested your forehead against his. Your lips still tingled from coming in contact with his and you smiled a bit.
“Y/N?” He said, barely above a whisper. You hummed in response, playing with the short hairs at the nape of his neck.
“You know I love you, right?” Jeff asked quietly. You nodded against him and he sighed.
“Seeing you with Marcus nearly drove me insane. He’s a fucking asshole, and you… you’re just too good for him. You’re honestly too good for me, and I’d be perfectly fine if you don’t like me the way I like you, and if it’s too soon to start anything, and-” He rambled, but you cut him off with another kiss. He smiled against your lips and you pulled away, looking into his eyes.
The reason why I’m pro/bughead (jetty?) and not barchie is because Betty tried so hard to be perfect for Archie. She tried so hard to be perfect for everyone. She wanted to fit into this persona of all American teen girl perfect for the all American teen boy. The girl next door with the boy next door. Childhood sweethearts. Jock and cheerleader. She felt safe with Archie because everyone expected them to be a couple and Betty’s a people pleaser. But with Jughead she could just be herself, because if there was anyone who wasn’t going to judge her it would be the weird kid who gets judged by everyone too. She feels safe with Jughead because she grew up with him too but never had to worry about being perfect for him so she could just be herself.
When she says “I believe in every woman and girl here tonight and billions more who are not” I really, really, really believe that she does and I know that words like these are not some catchy fake-cheerleader-girl-like chants that she screams at the top of her lungs in an attempt to attract the attention of this one hot boy in the team, and as long as she gets her date after the match, she doesn’t give a damn whether the team wins or loses.
She’s out there, living her life all the while believing in us with all her heart. She legit wants us to win. So let’s not let her down.
It had been a week since Yoongi’s party at Pearl, an entire seven days since your father had disappeared into thin air; and a whole one hundred and sixty eight hours since your brother decided to call the police, regardless of the anonymous threats. As much as you loved Yoongi you couldn’t shake the bad feeling away from your figure, the text message had very clear instructions. Don’t show the police, or people will die. And with your dad still missing it was impossible not to entertain the idea.
“Y/N? Hello? Are you in here?” Maggie, the Exhibit gossip forum’s editor in chief and your overall boss, flicked your forehead with her perfectly manicured bubblegum pink nails to regain your attention.
“I’m so sorry… What were you saying?” You hummed in an attempt to salvage the embarrassing situation, you had no idea what she was talking to you about, truth be told you didn’t even realise she was there until her acrylic nail was leaving behind a small indentation on your skin.
“The threatening mystery texts, your dad’s disappearance! It’s all just dreadful… Will you run it?” She hollowed her thin cheeks out until you could see a map of her high cheekbones as she raised her brows expectantly.
There was no denying she was beautiful, she had rich dark brown flawless skin and her hair was shaved short and dyed red, her winged eyeliner was sharp enough to cut someone and her fashion choices were beyond Lady Gaga’s wildest imagination. But unfortunately for her you saw right through her fur coats and fake personality, she was the head cheerleader who never grew up; she was a bitch.
“Wait so you want me to run the story… About my missing dad? And include the anonymous messages?” You paraphrased eyes wide with shock, dumbfounded by her complete lack of human decency.

Serpent Jughead takes good girl Betty to Prom, like in an old car of a motorcycle. Maybe like he wears his Serpent jacket instead of a tux and maybe they are questioning their fate but Archie and Ronnie rig the votes for them to be prom king and queen
Oof, this was actually a little tricky to write.
“What’s up Arch, I got your text?” Jughead asked as he slid into the booth across from his best friend. The red haired boy staring questioningly at Jughead.
“You either don’t know, or you don’t care.” He said agitated. Causing Jughead to look up at the sudden shift in his tone.
“Don’t know what?”
Archie pulled his backpack onto the table, digging inside of it and pulling out swatches of different colored fabrics
“Do you know what these are?” He asked.
Jughead stared at them for a few seconds, trying to find the answer to this ridiculous riddle Archie seemed to be playing
“They’re.. pieces of.. clothes?” He questioned hopefully.
“Wrong!” Archie slammed his hands on the table, sending Jughead flying backward into the booth in shock
“These are bow tie, fabric samples! I have gone over them thirteen times with Veronica, do you want to know why I have done that?” His eyes shifted crazily and Jughead opened his mouth to speak
“Because Jughead, it is Junior Prom. And every girl wants the perfect Junior Prom, therefore it is up to us as boyfriends to make that Junior Prom Perfect. Imagine my surprise when my good pal Betty tells me she’ll be going alone, now I know you’re caught up with your Serpent stuff and I know you don’t go to Riverdale anymore but Betty being happy is important to me, you should have seen her face when she told me she was going alone.. I mean it was…”
Jughead jumped out of the booth and skidded to his feet, running towards the door and cursing as he gripped his Leather jacket, shitshitshitshit. She had mentioned it, and he had been meaning to ask her, he was still thinking of a plan to do it. She had been completely supportive of his new life on the south side and he knew how hard it was for her, he had wanted to do this for her, makeup for the homecoming dance that had been ruined, but he damn well forgot. He stood in front of her front door, glancing at his phone, she would be coming out any minute now, she had late night cheerleading practice and he usually walked her to the school, lately he had been so busy he hadn’t had the time, she said she understood but he knew how badly he had been hurting her lately. He was such an asshole.
Right on time, Betty walked onto her front porch, her eyes widening when she saw her boyfriend before she broke out in a beaming smile
“Juggie” she said softly, pushing her pompoms into her backpack, the surprise and happiness on her face should have made him feel better but it only cemented the fact that he had been incredibly neglectful to his amazing girlfriend.
“Hey Juliet.” He smiled miserably, dropping a kiss to her cheek and swinging an arm over her shoulder
“To what do I owe the honor.” She teased, looking up at him and snuggling into his leather clad side. Jughead took a deep breathe, inhaling the peaches and vanilla of her shampoo, the soft feel of her silky blonde curls spurring on his confidence
“I’ve come to ask the fair lady to the ever cliche Junior Prom.” He said cornily, wrapping an arm around her waist. Betty stiffened before pulling away and laughing sadly
“That’s okay. It’s totally unnecessary, I’m sure you have better things to do than hang around some school dance with a bunch of your old classmates.” She pulled her backpack over her shoulder and he quickly took it off draping it over his own shoulder, he looked down at her, his eyebrows furrowed, did she really think he didn’t want to go with her? That she wasn’t important enough for him?
“I want to go Betty, I want to go with you.” He reassured her, stopping her in her tracks, and moving a hand to cup her cheek. Betty melted into his embrace before sighing
“You don’t have to do this Jug, I know how busy you are with the serpents, it’s just a silly dance.” She shrugged, standing on the steps of Riverdale
“Bets, we’re going and it’s going to be the perfect night okay? It’s our chance to forget about the serpents and everything in between, it’ll be just us. got it?“he said sternly, a goofy smile playing on his face as she leaned towards him, brushing her lips against his
"Okay Romeo, whatever you say.” With that she headed into the gym and left Jughead alone with his thoughts, it had to be perfect, she deserved it.
Unfortunately nothing ever goes as planned when it comes to either Betty Cooper or Jughead Jones, the night of the dance Jugheads truck broke down leaving him without any vehicle to pick up his girlfriend for their perfect night. To make it even better when he was trying to fix the engine, oil splattered all over his tuxedo leaving him in his suit pants and his leather Serpents Jacket, the only way he was going to get Betty to the Dance would be with his fathers motorcycle, the entire bike filled with Southside serpent bumper stickers and emblems. He pulled up to the Cooper Residence and took a deep breath, she was going to leave him, there wasn’t a doubt in his mind. Standing by the bike, leaning against the offending object his jaw nearly dropped to the floor when Betty exited her house.
She was wearing a long light yellow dress, it was strapless and showed off her toned arms, the top was folded pieces of soft fabric and the bottom billowed when she walked giving her the appearance that she was flying, his gaze skimmed the tan skin the dress left bare before landing on her face, her long dark lashes were thicker and framing her gorgeous light green eyes, her lips were shiny and her cheeks were rosy. He admired the way her long blonde curls were pushed out of her face but still left to fall down her back, clipped together by some sparkly contraption. She was going to be the most beautiful girl in the room and he couldn’t wait to take a picture and show the guys at Southside High.
Betty skeptically eyed the motorcycle and he instantly remembered what an asshole he was.
“The truck broke down, and I got oil on my tux its the best I could do.. Betty I’m so sorry, I..”
She cut him off with a simple peck and mounted the motorcycle
“There’s a first time for everything right, maybe I should have worn my ponytail, I’m not sure how well my hair will hold up on this thing” she giggled slightly as he slid in front of her, still feeling absolutely horrible but the feel of her tiny hands around his waist made him feel slightly better as she held on tight.
When they arrived at the dance, he immediately heard the murmurs from his classmates
“He’s a serpent!”
“Look at his jacket”
“Did you see what he showed up in?”
“Poor Betty, he doesn’t even care”
Betty sensed the tension in her boyfriends shoulders and gently tugged him towards the dance floor, wrapping herself in his arms.
“Thankyou for taking me tonight Juggie.”
The dark haired boy let out a sigh as he pushed a strand of hair out of her face
“You shouldn’t be thanking me for this Betty, I should have asked you sooner, I should have been more prepared. I ruined this night. I know that you have a lot on the line dating a Serpent and I haven’t made it any easier on you, I’ve been horrible to you. I’m so sorry, I love you so much and I just…” Betty cut him off, pressing her lips to his.
“I love you too, tonight was perfect because I was with you. I don’t need all the flashy business , I just want you. Gang member and all.” She teased, running her fingers over the logo on his back.
“You really are something else Betty Cooper.” He whispered dreamily, wrapping his arms tighter around Betty and sending up a silent prayer to whoever was up there for giving him the absolute best girlfriend in the world.
Maybe the town would try and divide them but together? They were stronger than all of the white noise.
hi i was wondering if you could do a riverdale imagine where the (girl) reader is best friends with jughead and she has a huge crush on veronica? i know it’s kind of vague, but you can take it anywhere!! oh and maybe tag me in it? pretty please? ok love you bye💕
I’m sorry if it’s not what you’re looking for @ffremontt , if you want a different one feel free to message me.
Being associated with Jughead Jones had it’s ups and downs. While you were able to connect with a fellow intellectual, you never imagined the whispers that would come about. You dealt with it because, Jughead was a good friend and you couldn’t imagine your life without him; but there came a time when you wished you and your loner friend would get noticed.
That time was the first day of school after an eventful summer. You and Jughead had stayed close over summer, especially after the disappearance of Jason Blossom. Neither of you really cared for the Blossom twins, but the mystery of his disappearance, or death, interested both of you. You found Jughead organizing his locker in the morning and rushed over.
“Hey Jug! Any updates?” He turned his head and gave you a grin. “The novel is coming along fine. I’m caught up so far, now we wait for whatever comes next.” You nodded at our friend, “Hopefully it’ll come soon,” you leaned closer to him, “I heard we have a new student.” His eyebrows quirked up in interest. You gaze was caught by the door at the end of the hall opening and a girl, who you had never seen before, walked in. Your jaw dropped as she strutted her way past where you and your friend were standing. Her dark hair rested perfectly on her shoulders and framed her face beautifully as she gave you a smile. You turned to watch her walk away and your face felt hot as she walked into the Dean’s Office. You heard Jug laugh and say, “And so the plot thickens.”
Jughead made sure that you didn’t forget about the morning and the beauty known as Veronica Lodge. “Skipping class with you isn’t going to worth it anymore if you’re just going to be annoying.” You said as you settled on the bleachers next to your friend. He just laughed, “Me, annoying?” You rolled your eyes and opened a bag of chips. You ate one and held the bag out to Jug who took one as well. You helped him polish up the draft of his novel, or what he had so far and you started on your homework.
“You have Journalism homework?” Asked Jughead as he ate another chip/. You groaned and nodded. “I didn’t do too well on my last assignment, so to keep up my grade, I have to go to the dance and write up an article about it.” He nodded, “Will it be published in the school newspaper?” You looked at the note your teacher gave you as a rubric for the article. “Yeah, it’ll be in next week’s copy.”
“Sounds cool,” he said taking another chip, “I won’t read it.” You grabbed one of your folders and hit him the shoulder with it jokingly. “Jerk.” You muttered and his smiled dumbly. “Wait, did school end?” You asked upon seeing the football practice and some cheerleaders walking along the track. Jughead nodded and got back to typing away, but suddenly lifted his head and laughed. “What?!” You asked, leaning towards him. “Look who’s a cheerleader already!” You squinted and saw that it was Betty Cooper and Veronica walking the track. You almost fell off your seat in embarrassment. She looked adorable in the cheerleading uniform and it was just too much. “You should ask her to the dance, Y/N.”
You turned to face Jughead, your face beet red. “Why!?” You yelled, drawing the attention of the people below. You blushed harder when you saw Veronica looking up into the bleacher to where you were sitting. She gave you a wave, which you shyly return. “You’re going to the dance so you might as well go with someone.” You nodded at his words but turned back to him. “She’s hanging out with Archie though, and I don’t want that to-”
Jughead lifted a finger to silence you. “That doesn’t change anything. Just because I’m a reject doesn’t mean you have to be one too.” He gave to a happy look, “We will still be friends.” You smiled at him, which he tried to return. “Now go get the girl Y/N L/N.”
You made your way down the bleachers and to the track. You ran after the two girls who were still walking. When you finally made it to them, you felt the blush on your face deepen and the butterflies in your stomach start to storm. What if she didn’t even like girls? Maybe this was a mistake, but it was too late now. “Hi.” You said, you sounded so dumb.
“Hello there. You’re Y/N right?” Veronica asked, giving you the brightest smile you had ever seen. You nodded, “Yeah, and I was wondering if you would like to attend the back to school dance with me.” Betty looked at you then at Veronica, and slowly made her way towards one of the football players. “Oh?” Veronica asked, her eyebrows raised. Your heart sank, “Sorry if I weirded you out, I’ll just-” You were cut off by a warm pair of lips on your cheek. “You’ll see me at seven.” She said with a flirty tone, that her large brown eyes seemed to mimic. “I’ll see you at seven.” You repeated and with a sweet smile, she walked away.
You ran back up the bleachers to Jughead, with a stupid grin on your face. The moment you sat down, you let out a large breath you didn’t know you had been holding in. “She said yes!” You squealed excitedly. Jughead let out a laugh, “You have a little something right there.” He pointed at your cheek and you opened your front camera and saw the lipstick stain. You just smiled at your loner friend who, for the first time in a while, felt like maybe people weren’t so bad after all.
Could you write a jealous!Betty fic where Jughead befriends a tough girl who's basically the girl version of him at south side high so Betty feels insecure and tries to be more like the girl (short skirts, dark makeup, messy hair, etc.)? Thank you!!!
She was tucked into their normal booth at pops, sandwiched between Kevin and Veronica as she stared longingly at her boyfriend a few booths away, he was laughing and his arm was slung lazily over River Lewis. The one girl in the entire town who was sure to make Betty dig her nails into her palms and tighten her ponytail.
River was one of Jugheads new friends from the Southside, she was moody and sexy and she was everything Betty wished she could be, the girl had made it very clear she wasn’t interested in being Betty’s friend and seemed to be monopolizing all of Jugheads time as of lately. Of course Betty was happy he was making friends and it made her heart lighter to see him laughing and enjoying himself, but the tug in her heart was inevitable when he chose to sit with his new friends instead of her, the way he leaned into River would have any girlfriend feeling a little sick.
“She’s nothing compared to you B, she’s nasty and she’s a brat.” Veronica spoke quietly into her ear as she squeezed her shoulder. Betty looked up gratefully and sighed
“I just feel like he keeps pulling away.. like I’m not enough anymore. Like.. maybe this isn’t what he wants.” She gestured to her cheerleading uniform and dropped her head to Kevin’s shoulder, sighing miserably.
Kevin and Veronica shared a glance over their forlorn best friends head
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Kevin asked with a wicked smile
Veronica nodded and smirked
“You’re the one that I want Grease Makeover?” She asked.
Betty looked up a confused look in her eyes as he friends dragged her out of the booth
“What?” She asked, daring a glance in Jugheads direction, he was staring at her,a curious look in his eyes as he moved to stand, River slapped a hand to his thigh dragging him back down.
Something hardened in Betty’s eyes before she turned away from the scene, smiling at her friends
“What are we waiting for?”
The next day at school went by excruciatingly slow, she had been assured by Archie that Jughead would be at Pops today and part two of her plan would come into play. Part one had been ignoring all of his text messages and having Alice send him away when he came to her door last night. Veronica had held her hand as her boyfriend begged her mother to let him speak to her.
“He’s been taking advantage of you B, you need to show him what he’s going to lose if he doesn’t fix this.”
She stood outside Pops, her fingers shaking as Veronica ran the lipgloss over her already fairly glossy lips.
“Alright Sandra dee. I think we’re ready, how do you feel?” Veronica asked.
Betty took a deep breath
“I’m ready.” She smiled taking one final glance at the reflection in Veronica’s car, she didn’t even recognize herself.
Betty had on a short, tight leather skirt and loose white crop top that perfectly showed her toned stomach and tan skin. Her feet were tucked into tall wedges and her long blonde hair was left loose and messy, looking perfectly wind blown. Her bright green eyes looked even brighter under the dark black eyeliner and heavy mascara, her perfect heart shaped lips were cherry red and she smacked the gum between her lips.
“A masterpiece, if I wasn’t gay..” Kevin trailed off causing Betty to giggle and straighten her shoulders.
“Let’s do this.” She slung the old leather jacket she had borrowed from her mother overhear shoulder and followed Veronica into the Diner. The diner went silent as soon as the group stepped foot on the marble floor.
Jughead hopped up when he saw Veronica his eyes instantly looking for Betty, he started walking towards the group but stopped dead when he saw Betty his jaw dropping.
“Betty?” He whispered
At his unfamiliar look Betty instantly felt all of those insecurities build up again, she struggled to keep her arms at her side, her natural instinct to hide in herself was bubbling to the surface, but when a boy in a serpents jacket let out the first low wolf whistle, she let out a relived breath. Suddenly it seemed every member from the Southside was drawn to her and she giggled as they tripped over themselves to get a better look.
Veronica winked and led Betty to a booth, Kevin shaking his fingers in a few boys faces to back them off.
Just as she was about to settle into the booth, she felt a warm hand grip her upper arm, his fingers familiar even under the leather. Looking up she swallowed at the intensity in her boyfriend eyes.
“Can we talk?” He asked quietly, his eyes running over her body as he licked his lips, she turned to go with him but Veronica kicked her under the table and Kevin shook his head.
Pulling her arm free Betty sat down in the seat
“I’m staying here, we can talk later. I think River is waiting for you.” She nodded her head to the dark haired girl shooting daggers in their direction.
Understanding instantly dawned in Jugheads eyes and he reached a hand out to Betty’s cheek
She turned her face quickly, blinking away the tears that threatened to fall
“Not now Jughead.” She whispered.
He stared at her completely heartbroken
“Elizabeth Cooper right?” Jughead whipped around to see Noah, a prominent member of the serpents, leaning casually against Betty’s booth
“That’s my name” she smiled at the boy and jughead stumbled back.
“I dig your look.” He said dropping down into the empty space Jughead had just left.
Oh absolutely not.
Jughead straightened his Serpent jacket and reached for Betty’s hand, pulling her out of the booth and towards the door, as she stomped indignantly.
“Jughead Jones! Let me go!” He swung her around as soon as they hit outside.
His lips attacked her as she gasped, her fingers instinctively digging into his dark waves as he ran his hands over the bare skin of her legs before sliding under her shirt.
She pulled away abruptly
“No!” She said shoving him away and adjusting her top her hands trembling
“Betty?” Jughead asked moving towards her
“No. this isn’t me, if this is what you want… if this is who I have to be to get you to pay me attention… maybe I’m not the right girl for you.” Her eyes filled with tears and he shook his head frantically
“No! I love you. I love you, I love who you are. You never have to change for me. I cannot lose you. You look amazing but you’re right this isn’t you.” His hands tugged on the short skirt as he trailed his fingers over her thighs, his breathe close to her face.
“But.. River.. ” she whispered, her nose touching his as he nuzzled it gently
“She’s funny and she reminds me of me, but she’s no Betty Cooper, I’m so sorry I made you feel like you had to be something else, I would never want that. I love you for who you are, I know I’ve been an awful boyfriend, it’s this whole balancing act. Consider me properly aware, I’m not letting you out of my sight.. especially dressed like this.” His eyes hungrily scanned her face as he dropped a kiss to her lips.
Betty giggled, dropping her forehead to his
“I want you to spend time with your friends, but.. maybe spend some time with me too okay?” She smiled
He nodded aggressively
“You can count on it.”
Betty grabbed his hand and headed into Pops
“Okay let’s go show them who your girlfriend really is.” She beamed as Jughead laughed tightening an arm around her waist
