The Murder of Brianna Lopez

Brianna Lopez was a beautiful, flawless baby girl when she first greeted the world on Valentines Day, 2002. Despite her mother Stephanie Lopez’ use of drugs and alcohol during her pregnancy, Brianna was a healthy, inquisitive baby, and she was cleared to go home just two days after being born. It was in a squalid trailer home in Las Cruces, New Mexico, that the tiny newborn would be exposed to the most depraved abuses imaginable.

Little Brianna was mistreated horribly from day one; when the infant cried or fretted for attention, her mother Stephanie or her father Andrew Walters would slap and push her to the floor. When the baby screamed out in pain her sadistic parents would stuff used diapers in Brianna’s mouth or muffle the noise underneath piles of clothing. The baby’s maternal uncle, Stephen Lopez, would take part in the abuse too, often biting Brianna so hard she bled.

Over the course of her short 153-day long life, Brianna would be subjected to daily abuse; slaps, pinches, kicks, and bites. Her ribs were broken, as were both arms and one leg. The back of her head was slammed repeatedly against the floor. Her little fingers were twisted until they broke and bled. Most horribly, Andrew Walters and Steven Lopez took turns in sexually assaulting the baby, from the very first day she was brought home. Stephanie Lopez did not always partake in the hideous abuse of her daughter, but she passively stood by while her boyfriend and brother tortured Brianna.

On July 18, 2002, all three adults in the trailer got drunk, and Stephen Lopez began tossing Brianna across the room to Andrew Walters. Lopez admitted later he dropped the baby a few times, and that Walters threw her at the ceiling. Brianna’s cries of pain went totally ignored, and eventually the drunken men stumbled off to bed, leaving the baby face down on the kitchen floor.

The next morning, around 7am, Stephanie Lopez awoke and found Brianna unresponsive and covered in fresh bruises. She questioned her boyfriend Andrew about the injuries, to which he responded that he “might have been a little too rough” with Brianna the previous night. Unperturbed, Stephanie left the baby with Andrew while she left to go shopping. While she was gone Steven and Andrew sexually assaulted Brianna with various objects and slammed her into a wall. When she returned home Stephanie noticed the baby’s unresponsive state, but did nothing. It was only until the next morning when Brianna refused to feed that Stephanie finally called an ambulance, feeding the paramedics a story that the baby had fallen from her high chair. Medical stuff knew instantly that Brianna’s injuries could have only resulted from prolonged child abuse, and all three adults were arrested.

Sadly, little Brianna died while doctors tried to revive her. She was only five months old.

Stephanie Lopez was found guilty of first-degree child abuse resulting in death and sentenced to a maximum of twenty seven years in prison. She was released in June 2016 after serving fourteen years.

Andrew Walters and Steven Lopez were both found guilty of child abuse resulting in death, sexual assault, criminal negligence, and failure to report child abuse. Walters recieved fifty-seven years and Lopez fifty-one.

Baby Brianna’s remains went unclaimed by her family, so the residents of Las Cruces claimed her body and set up a memorial site with an angel statue.

I'm not the only one that thinks that Bonnie's her most beautiful, badass-self, when a certain vampire's away from her, am I? I mean, look at her in the promo, she looks beautiful. I think, it's time to say bye-bye, to the Enzyme, once and for all.

Right. Once she is away from Heccio and back to be Damon’s girl she is hot, badass and her true self :)

My crush is the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on. Her golden hair gives you a good idea on how valuable she is to me and everyone. She has the calmest, kindest oceans of eyes, and a thousand choirs of angels can't compete with her voice. She's the most open and accepting person and she's smarter than any genius I could ever look up to. She's so quirky and expressive in the simplest of sentences and I would do anything to spend one second by her side. It's you. You're my crush.❤️️❤️️❤️️

Harold was a Liar

I’ll be posting new, different stories on my personal blog, please be sure to follow @sixpenceeeblog

My brother, Harold, almost never told the truth. He was six years younger than me, and, although our mother tried to hide it, he was her favorite. It was easy to see why. Harold was adorable. He had round apple cheeks, curly blonde hair, and big blue eyes. Even at age seven, he was a social butterfly. He was always on the move, always playing with a different set of friends every week, and always charming.

don’t let anybody tell you you’re any less than what you are!! you are important, and you deserve to be treated that way!

A White Plains, New York, woman decided to go for a hike with her little girls today, and she happened to run into a very famous person.

This is what Margot Gerster wrote about her chance run-in with Hillary Clinton:

“I’ve been feeling so heartbroken since yesterday’s election and decided what better way to relax than take my girls hiking. So I decided to take them to one of favorite places in Chappaqua. We were the only ones there and it was so beautiful and relaxing. As we were leaving, I heard a bit of rustling coming towards me and as I stepped into the clearing there she was, Hillary Clinton and Bill with their dogs doing exactly the same thing as I was. I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her. She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk. Now, I’m not one for signs but I think ill definitely take this one. So proud. #iamstillwithher #lovetrumpshate #keepfighting #lightfollowsdarkness”

I literally just cant. Sometimes are you guys hit by the fact, that Lexa the stoic Commander, with the wisdom of generations, fell in love with a smol girl who fell from the sky? She bared her soul to her, and she protected her, and improved and changed her entire life and the ways of her people for that small bi bean?

She was so beautiful. And strong. And just…. Powerful. She moved us all. She inspired so many of us. She inspired hundreds of thousands of us to revolt against the media and their view of the lgbtq youth. She changed the lives of so many

For me, the most powerful yet heartbreaking scene was one of her very last happy moments. That smile, that smile she gave Clarke as she leaned down to kiss her on the bed. Do you guys remember? That smile. It was like… Seeing her for the first time. Happy. Relieved. Satisfied. She looked so beautiful. And raw. And fucking amazing.

I miss her so much

The boy with the brown eyes
loved the girl with the grey eyes
but she didn’t always have grey eyes

Sometimes she had green eyes
that reminded him of the picnic they
went on for their second date
where the grass was so soft but
nothing compared to the softness
of her lips when they kissed

Sometimes she had brown eyes
that reminded him of getting lost in the forest
where they planned their
whole lives together between the
trunks of two trees

Sometimes she had blue eyes
that reminded him of swimming at the beach
watching her transform into
the most beautiful sea creature and
wondering how he was lucky enough
to catch her

The boy with the brown eyes
loved the girl with the grey eyes
or green or brown or blue
the girl made of water and earth
who took the air from his lungs
and lit a fire in his heart

He loved a world that lived only
inside of her
Tell Me What To Do

Okay so now I have slept a little I can finally write it out orz

The long term relationship the mv depicts is actually the relationship (friendship) between the five boys.

The friendship is symbolized in the car that they drive around in together, free and happy.

But in the beginning of the mv it is shown that the gas tank is leaking and the glass is shattered; also that they are sitting together but there is dullness in them- which means that their friendship is almost broken, fading away; and the reason behind it is their dangerous lifestyle.

All the negative aspects of this life are represented in the girl- her shots are shown when they are drinking, her presence when they are throwing stuff off buildings, the lighted matchstick between her lips are all hints that she’s a danger threatening to tear them apart. She is represented as someone beautiful because all the bad things she represents are temptations.

The ones most threatened by these harmful temptations are Taemin and Minho, but Taemin realizes eventually that indulging in her is wrong (he throws away the lighter- letting her go).

Minho is the one who cannot stop, he’s losing himself in these dangers (the intimacy between him and the girl represents this).

Taemin finds out but eventually, everyone knows it. But Taemin is the most affected (maybe because his relationship with Minho is something more? I’m 2min trash sorry). He plays the most active part, trying to save their friendship by confronting Minho about his extreme ways, which eventually leads into a fight.

After the fight, Minho chooses the girl (the pleasures of the bad life) over their friendship. The shots of the girl are shown as the car he leaves in blows up, indicating that his choice to continue on that dangerous path not only destroyed their friendship (the car) but himself as well.

Everyone runs to the burning car because everyone regrets what they have done/not done to save their friendship.

All their regret is shown in snippets throughout the mv.

Taemin is shown with the guns pointing at himself. He blames himself because he thinks everything was pushed to the edge because he confronted Minho. In this scene, the guns represent guilt and blame.

It was shown that Key tries to sort things out but he cannot overpower Minho’s anger. The shots of him looking into the mirror are of regret and him sitting in the driver’s seat represent his desire to have taken control of the situation, his desire to have tried harder.

Jonghyun and Jinki are the friends who had remained passive throughout. Here, the gun represents power, and the chained gun in Jinki’s presence represents that he had the power to stop their friendship from breaking but he had chosen not to interfere. Jonghyun has no such symbolism except the words he sings, which means that unlike Jinki, he wanted to interfere, but didn’t have the power to do so.

The song (though is of romantic nature) suits this scenario too because they don’t know how to overcome their broken friendship. Hence “Tell me what to do…”

She’d always kiss with her eyes wide open, she could never understand why people would close their eyes to some of the most beautiful things life has to offer. Her hair a tangled mess much like her chaotic soul. Her eyes looked like the Dead Sea; id found comfort in that as I’d never learned to swim. Her laugh was like your favorite childhood song, you could go years without hearing but you’d never forget it’s beat. Her bare feet on the concrete floor sounded much like the hale storm that she’d always been; destructive and beautiful. She was the universe minimized to just a five foot girl, compassion and humanity in every beat of her heart. And behind her starry eyes was a storm of a girl, though she was tiny oh lord, she was mighty. And as she handed me her heart of stone, I began to watch the flowers grow. Even after her flowers began to wither and die, she was my garden and I could live without grass. And knowing full well I couldn’t tread water, I’d jumped head first into her sea. “Sink or swim” she said, as her salty water filled my lungs. I knew I was home and I wanted to be full of her.
