Chapters: XXX

Saturday Evening:

“What do you think?”

Aelin stepped back from her laptop. She held out her arms slightly, showing off her outfit to Nehemia.

“Mhmmm,” Nehemia placed her head on her hand. She started tapping her chin with her finger, eyes narrowed slightly. “Get rid of the red jacket. You need something more neutral.”

Aelin shredded her red leather jacket, leaving her standing in just her white, flowy t-shirt and dark skinny jeans.

“More neutral.” Aelin repeated, throwing the red jacket on her bad as she walked over to her closet.

“Yeah. The red just seemed too much.” Came Nehemia’s voice through her laptop. “What are you and Rowan doing tonight anyways?”

Domestic kanej??

this is the otpest of all otps for me so i died writing this. tysm for sending it 💕

  • domestic kanej wouldn’t happen for years and when it does it would be—fight me on this— at the rietveld family farm after inej took on all the slavers and kaz built up the barrel, destroyed it, and cashed out.
  • and it would consist of early mornings
  • inej would wake to the smell of coffee in the air at six a.m, but she’d know kaz’s first cup of it came at least a half an hour earlier.
  • kaz would be standing by the window overlooking the fields, leaning his weight against his cane, and taking economic sips of his coffee in hopes she’d join him with hers
  • some days she’d leave him alone with his thoughts
  • (these are two very independent people i can’t imagine them being glued together all the time?? also realistically speaking, that’s unlikely if you’ve been together for a while)
  • other days they’d stand together in silence and watch the sun rise
  • he’d be better with touch but not quite there (would he ever be??) so she’d wait for him to initiate
  • but because they’d both have bad days where they’d prefer not to be touched at all he still asked for her consent
  • it would be in the way he brushed hair from her face but his fingers lingered as they grazed against her temple and she’d nod for him to know it was okay to kiss her there
  • his gravelly voice would be as soft as it could possibly get when he’d ask, “sleep okay?”
  • and she’d make sure to ask in return, “did you sleep?”
  • “i slept enough,” translated to no and she’d sigh because for a long time she thought kaz didn’t sleep due to the fact he was always scheming or paranoid or both simultaneously. but no he just never ever slept??
  • they’d own bunch of businesses in town because kaz is greedy af and even though he’d be sitting on a couple million kruge he’d still like income
  • inej would go into work at one of their stores in the morning just to offer her help like the angel she is. she’d have lunch with her new girl clique (inej deserves a badass girl squad and in my mind she gets exactly that) and bring him food home after
  • neither of them knew how to cook
  • it was disastrous when they tried
  • imagine her coming home to kaz picking vegetables
  • “would it kill you to take off the suit for this?”
  • “probably.”
  • “kaz, literally no one is around for miles, it’s scorching hot, and you don’t make a very convincing business man with dirt stains all over you.”
  • he’d adjust his tie, “sure i do.”
  • she’d roll her eyes at him and wipe dirt off his cheek with the sleeve of her shirt. she’d never thought she’d see the day where kaz would be cute. hot, sure. but cute? adorable? saints help her.
  • and we know kaz has no qualms against undressing in front of her. after being in the fields all day it would be no different. he’d come inside the house pulling off his layers. only inej wouldn’t have to pretend she wasn’t looking anymore
  • she’d stare, he’d smirk at her
  • inej would be in charge of picking fruit from the trees. they’d make a game of her climbing up and tossing apples down at him in an attempt to make it in the basket he’d be holding. he’d intentionally move at the last minute to make her miss and she’d grudgingly lob some at him for it
  • other times he’d haul himself up into the tree too even though it would be painful for him to get back down. but he’s had to do worse.
  • they’d sit there and talk about anything and everything. inej would tell him about all the things she managed to overhear within the day and he’d let out a rare, unrestrained laugh at some of the stories
  • they’d make waffles for dinner, literally the only thing they didn’t burn
  • and they’d sleep in the same room but separate beds because of their traumas
  • kaz didn’t believe in her saints, but he’d silently pray for someone to save him and his sanity at night when she sat at the foot of her bed in her silk robes, brushing tangles from her long, damp hair.
  • inej with her hair down killed him inside
  • he’d count how many times she combed each side so he wouldn’t do it wrong those nights when she sat on his bed instead of her own and offered the brush to him
  • he’d sit behind her, softly running his fingers through the strands first because he couldn’t resist. he’d take this job very seriously, parting her hair as he’d seen her do because her locks were so thick she preferred it brushed in sections.
  • he’d almost always lean in real close to inhale the soap she used. sometimes he’d sweep her hair aside and graze his nose along the nape of her neck, waiting for her to react.
  • she’d encourage, “go ahead.” and he’d trail soft kisses there
  • domestic kanej would also be relaxed and content and comfortable.
  • kaz openly admitting when his leg was in pain instead of pretending it wasn’t whenever she asked
  • inej talking about the nightmares that still haunted her
  • and cold nights swathed in blankets in the field, looking up at the stars, drinking hot chocolate
  • inej would read a lot and cry over the books. “if you make fun of me, i’ll hurt you.”
  • kaz didn’t make fun of her. he’d make tea and offer his hand. he didn’t like hugs, but he’d lock their fingers and squeeze real tight to reassure her. and since he didn’t know how to comfort he’d be all, “it wasn’t even that sad.”
  • and she’d look at him with that surprised expression he liked so much. “you read it.”
  • “you’ve only been crying about it since the day you opened it and read the first page. i was curious.”
  • they’d spend the night discussing it
  • and domestic kanej would inevitably be her waking at four a.m. to kaz pacing
  • “tell me that isn’t scheming face.”
  • kaz would only cock his head to the side, still deep in thought.
  • inej would sigh and climb out of bed, “i’ll get my knives, make the coffee.”

can you pls write something based on this au picspam? policevest tumblr address post slash 47518700056 slash castle-au-castle-meets-an-angel-gina-torres-and

Post anon is referring to:

Castle meets an angel (Gina Torres) and works out a deal with her to bring Johanna Beckett (Mary Steenburgen) back to life. But there’s a catch…he has to die instead. A life for a life, and eventually no one will remember that he existed. Once Beckett realizes what Castle did, she desperately tries to find a way for both Johanna and Castle to live, before she loses all her memories of him.

(A/N: all credit for both this brilliant idea and artwork above goes to @policevest. I own nothing except the words below.)

He watches her sleep from his spot in her bed, brushing her hair back from her forehead, feeling his heart clench painfully.

“There’s still time, you know.”

Rick glances up to the woman watching him with a sad smile across the room. Beckett’s guardian angel, apparently, with orders that she’s never necessarily been comfortable executing. But Kate… he wants nothing more than for her to be happy, to have what she wants.

And he knows without a doubt that his wife would give anything to have her mother back.

“Do you really think leaving her is what’s best?”

“She won’t remember me, that’s what you said,” he returns, glancing back down to the woman sleeping in her bed. No longer theirs.

Since this process began, since he managed to accidentally get his hands on that ancient artifact and wondered for a split second if Kate would be better off without him, he’s been stuck in limbo with the (annoying) angel. And with Johanna Beckett.

“Doesn’t mean it won’t leave another hole in her heart,” her mother chimes in from the foot of the bed.

These two women came to him with a deal, yet they’ve spent this entire ordeal arguing, one trying to dissuade him while the other presses him to choose what he thinks is best for Kate. It’s quite frustrating.

“Is that true?” He turns his eyes back to the angel, who releases a sigh through her pursed lips.

“In a sense. It’ll feel like mourning a ghost, harboring a hollowness she doesn’t understand.”

“But she’ll have her mother back?” Castle ensures, glancing to Johanna.

“Rick, you know there’s nothing I wouldn’t give to be back in Katie’s life, to have never left to begin with, but you… you’ve been so good for her. Jim tells me stories all the time when he comes to visit my grave.” She smiles softly, that same hint of a dazzling smile his fiancée so often wears for him now. “She loves you. So much.”

“But she loves you too,” he protests, ignoring the nagging indecision threatening to form in the back of his mind. He was so sure of what he thought was best the second the ultimatum was offered to him, but Johanna Beckett continues to evoke doubt. “She would have given anything-”

“She wouldn’t trade you.”

“Rick, we’re running out of time, so I have to ask you again,” the angel murmurs, her dark eyes narrowing on him. “What do you want to do?”

“Excluding my daughter from a choice that affects her life doesn’t seem fair,” Johanna cuts in.

The angel glares daggers at her. “Johanna.”

“Don’t you think so, Rick?”

He returns his gaze to Kate, watches her body shift and curl towards him as if she knows he’s there.

He doesn’t know the answers anymore.

She wakes with the whisper of lips on her cheek, the husk of a voice in her ear, and shifts in her bed towards the source, finding only empty sheets.

Kate’s eyes open, scan the desolate space beside her, the shape of the body that belongs just a flicker in her mind that she can’t shake. All she knows is that something’s wrong, missing, and it’s worsening each day.

His presence is strong, like a ghost that walks beside her, filling her head with indiscernible murmurs, warming her cold hands with a touch that isn’t there.

The name slips past her lips without prompting, an echo of a memory rippling through her mind, and she clings to his face, his bright blue eyes and that beautiful laugh. She fights to make him stay, to stop fading.

“Come back,” she chokes, squeezing her eyes shut as if that can make the memory remain, as if that can force Richard Castle - her favorite author, her partner, her fiancé - to stay. “Don’t do this to me again.”

Kate draws her knees to her chest, pressing her forehead hard against her patella. The light weight of a hand on her face that has her eyes flying open a second later, her head jerking up with hope.

But her heart stops at the sight of her mother perched on the edge of her bed.

“Mom?” she whispers, watching the gentle smile claim her mother’s lips.

“Hey, Katie.”

“Am I - is this a dream?” Kate inquires, and god, she’s really going crazy after all, isn’t she?

Johanna hedges. “You could call it that. This isn’t going to make a lot of sense, sweetheart, but just listen to me, okay? There’s not much time.”

Her mouth dry, Kate nods, shifts to sit up in the bed, to roam her gaze over her all too real mother sitting on the edge of her mattress as if it was just an ordinary day. As if she never left.

Johanna’s chest rises and falls with a deep breath while Kate’s stops short.

“It’s a long story, but Rick he… he was offered the opportunity to make a deal, to trade his life so I could have mine back,” she explains, and Kate’s unsteady heart tumbles into her ribs, begins to freefall towards her stomach.

“He - are you alive?”

“No, unfortunately not,” her mom sighs, reaching forward to squeeze her knee. “We’re in the ‘in between’ right now. I wanted insurance on you, so I’ve had an… well, a guardian angel looking after you. And, as of late, after Rick as well. When he held that artifact from the case you two were working on, it transported him here, with her, and she offered him the choice.”

Kate blinks. Angels? A magic artifact? Her mother alive and yet not?

“Okay, you’re looking at me like this is crazy, and trust me, I know, but just listen to me, Katie. Rick has slowly been fading from your memory and within a matter of minutes, you’ll wake up in a world where he never existed. A real world, where things are permanent,” her mother explains slowly and she may not completely understand, but Kate shakes her head.

“No, he can’t - where is he?”

“He’s here, glaring at me,” Johanna chuckles, but when Kate looks around… there’s no one. “Well, I can see him, but he’s becoming a ghost. Like me. It’s why you need to make a choice of your own, Kate.”

“Between the two of you? This is - what kind of twisted dream is this? You’re - you’re dead. This can’t be real.”

“It won’t be,” Johanna smiles softly. “It’ll all be over soon and you won’t remember any of it the next time you wake up, I promise. But what you choose right now determines what you wake up to and that’s why I’m telling you to pick your husband, the life you both worked so hard for.”

Kate sucks in a breath, tries to keep up. “But that… it really means I won’t see you again like this? Won’t even remember having the chance to talk to you again?”

Her mom frowns, but squeezes her knee once more. “I’m afraid not.”

“Why? You’re here now. You’re here. Why can’t you just come back?” she rasps, the tears clogging her throat, blurring her vision. “I miss you, Mom.”

“I miss you too, baby,” Johanna sighs, standing from the bed to move closer, embrace her daughter and stroke her hair. And it feels so real, just like when she was a little girl, a teenager, nineteen. “That’ll never change. But the way your life happened was the way it was supposed to happen, the way it was always going to happen, and I don’t want you to change it, to lose the kind of love and happiness that no one else, including me, can give you.”

Kate buries her face in her mother’s shoulder, inhales the faint scent of her perfume.

“Remember when I said you’d love his books?” Johanna murmurs, the grin claiming her lips when Kate withdraws from her embrace. Her mother’s gaze flickers to the other side of the bed. “Told you so.”

Kate huffs a gentle laugh, follows her mom’s line of sight to the man she can’t see. But she can feel him there, can feel the connection thrumming through her veins, pulsing through her system to flood her heart.

Even if she won’t remember this moment, even if she has to lose her mother all over again, she’s not willing to lose him too.

She refuses to give him up.

“Make him stay with me.”

No Regrets - The Dress

Not a request but a few of you ( @remybosslika @percywinchester27  @atc74 ) asked about their wedding so I have decided to make a few planning drabbles before actually writing the wedding drabble.

Pairing: Jensen x Reader

Warnings: nothing but fluff.

Word Count: 774

A/N: This is a drabble complication. All drabbles fit into the universe I created for my Jensen x Reader series Living with Regrets. Most can be read as stand alone, but will also very much be part of the series.

This takes place a few months after part 9 of Living with Regrets. Jensen has asked Y/N to marry him and she has accepted. Finding out how and where the wedding is gonna be will be the next step.

Still not over my writer’s block but for some reason this universe comes easy to me.

You stared into the mirror looking yourself up and down deciding that you looked like cotton candy, before letting out a deep sigh in annoyance.

“This is useless!” You grumbled making Gen instantly appear behind you, along with Sabrina, the woman who had been kind enough to bring all of these dresses turning yours and Jensen’s apartment into a small bridal shop.

In between filming and other wedding arrangement, you hadn’t had an entire day to set aside to shop for wedding dresses so Sabrina who owned a small store in Austin had offered to come to you. You had paid her handsomely for her efforts of course but you still felt like and ungrateful brat each time you turned one of her suggestions down.

The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing // Racetrack Higgins

A/N: so I decided to start to write for Newsies, especially Race because I just love him so much!!!

Word count: 500+

Summary: Who knew dancing around the streets of Manhattan with the cutest Newsie on the block would change your feelings?

It was 11:30 in the morning. (Y/N) had been working all morning at the local deli and bakery. Her manager had been teaching her all the different pastries to make and how to fold them. Yet, (Y/N) wasn’t fully paying attention today. It’s couldn’t have anything to do with the weather since it was all sunshine and there wasn’t a cloud in sight. And also, (Y/N) didn’t feel as if she was falling ill. No. What had distracted (Y/N) was the cute Newsie boy across the street.

Normally (Y/N) wouldn’t have been so engrossed in a boy, but this particular boy has held her attention for a while; Racetrack Higgins.

The Newsie had a cigar in one hand and waved around a paper in his other, shouting out the head line for today. From when he started this morning, (Y/N) guessed he had sold at least 1/3 of the papers in his bag. (Y/N) gazed at him until He started to make his way across the street. Quickly, she brushed off her hands and apron of any flower, then let loose her hair from the bun that he’d it together. By the time she finished, Race had taken a seat and started to rattle around his pockets for a few coins to get him lunch for the day.

Usually Race would have gone to join his fellow Newsies but today he felt attracted to the bakery and maybe to visit (Y/N), one of his few friends who wasn’t a Newsie.

(Y/N) waltzed over to his seat and greeted Race with a smile, “Hello Race, anything I can do for you?”

He smirked up at her in return, “ah, justa’ cheese sandwich, sweetheart, hot please”

“No problem, Race,” (Y/N) checkheated up as she quickly went to get his food.

While she cooked, Racetrack took in all the little details he thought made (Y/N) beautiful. The color of her eyes, the way the sunlight graced her features, or how angelic she looked, even when he made her cheeks flush pink with a few words. And as quickly as Race started to analyze her, she returned to him with his lunch, “ ‘Ow much do I'se owes ya, doll?”

“Nothing,” (Y/N) responded, she often would give the newsies a little something to eat, and Racetrack was no exception.

“Ah, come ons, (Y/N), there’s has gotta be away t’ pay ya, even not in coin,” He asked.

“No Race, you don’t need to worry abo-”

“(Y/N), afta ya shift, I'se is gonna walk ya home, is that goods wit you, doll?” But (Y/N) only nodded so that she wouldnt embarrass herself.

“Poifect,” Race smirked, “I’ll see you later, but nows I gotta goes, see ya later, sweetheart,” he kissed her temple, grabbed his lunch, and ran back out to his selling spot.

Racetrack Higgins was gonn be the death of (Y/N).

It was about 5:30 in the evening when Manhattan started to settle down on a slow, Tuesday night. Race had sold all his papes and (Y/N) was finished organizing the kitchen for the next day. She had barely made it out the door when Race had slung an arm around her shoulder and pull her into his side.

The pink from her cheeks could probably give away how she felt about it actions. His flirting never bothered her, she just wished though that she could be Race’s girl.

They walked like this for a bit until an idea hit Racetrack. He stood in front of (Y/N) and held out a hand, “Care ta dance?”

“Race, I’m not very good when it comes t-”

“Come on, (Y/N),” he laughed, “I’ll leads youse”

With that, he took your hands and twirled you around. Up and down the block, they waltzed around, giggling like fools in love. And to any passersby, that was exactly what Race and (Y/N) looked like; two crazy kids in love.

(Y/N) felt like she was dancing on a cloud… until they both stopped dancing in front of her apartment. In the moment, (Y/N)’s hands rested around Race’s neck, while his hands squeezed her hips. Both of them winded and they’re cheeks red.

The couple looked into eachother’s eyes before slowly inching into a kiss. A kiss which spread a warmth through them. Race stopped the kiss only to lift (Y/N) up into the air, spin her around, and peck another kiss on her lips.

“Ya know what’s they say, sweetheart?”

“What do they say, Race?”

“That’s the best things 'appen whiles youse dancin’ ” He smirked then pulled her in for another kiss.

Sooo do you think something will happen between Castiel and Kelly? I just saw the promo pictures and just.. the way she looked at him?? I'm probably totally off but do you think something's there? Oh, and do you think Cas will steal the colt from Sam and Dean? I personally hope not but Im kinda thinking he will.. Anyways, I know this is all just spec, just wanted to hear your thoughts :)

Can we as a fandom just agree to not even ask out loud if things are going to be a romance just because male and female characters are smiling at each other in promo stuff? Kelly could well just be smiling because someone’s treating her with common human decency and Cas is one heck of a trade up from Dagon in that respect.

I mean you might not seriously have meant it like you’re already dead certain it’s happening and you’re in the pits of despair about it already when you asked, but people get panicky and weird about it and Kelly’s already deeply unpopular, as far as I can tell on a scale of “I want her to get stabbed 1000 times before the end of the season” (almost direct paraphrase of something I’ve seen said about her) to “meh” and I know I’m only at “meh” myself just because this storyline is not exactly interesting and told so far 100% through Buckleming episodes, and this will be the first one with other writers actually seriously handling it, outside of the 3 scenes Perez got with Cas in 12x15 that didn’t even have Kelly in…

If nothing else I don’t want to have my inbox turn into the “are Kelly and Cas gonna hook up while she’s 8 and a half months preggers with Lucifer’s baby” debunking centre, which it inevitably does when someone starts saying things, even innocently or half-jokingly or prodding a bad thought that won’t leave them alone. I mean, at this point is anyone genuinely worried about these things? I kind of assume you aren’t because you seem quite chill despite all that (I mean compared to the wailing and gnashing of teeth this sort of panic can get to - you’re not exactly threatening to quit watching over it :P), and I don’t blame you but now I have to have a post on my blog with “will something happen between Cas and Kelly” in it, and if I don’t answer it, then someone else might go “AAAH WHAT IF LIZZY IS WRONG? WHY DIDN’T SHE ANSWER PROPERLY WITH A LONG REASSURING EXPLANATION OF CHARACTER ARCS AND ROMANCE TROPES” or whatever and go haring off to someone else’s inbox, and by Thursday evening little Cas n Kelly fires are starting up all over the place.

I mean for all I know because I just woke up and rolled out of bed, looked at the pics that Mel had helpfully sent me, stuck them in my queue, looked at my inbox, and you might be bouncing off someone ELSE’S blog with a comment of “Oh no it looks like Cas and Kelly are about to have a thing” in the tags or a random shitpost or ANOTHER worried anon and you didn’t like their tone of voice and thought “Lizzy usually says something sensible I’ll go check with her…” and I’m already 12 steps removed from Patient 0 of the outbreak

I’m completely fed up of mass panics :P I remember just being a big enough blog to get asks when 10x07′s promo dropped with the Hannah and Cas kiss in it and everyone was screaming and setting the room on fire and… Blergh, we know how well that worked out for Hannah. >.> I mean for all we know she came back in a male vessel BECAUSE they thought the panic was a bit OTT (Berens got yelled at and had to make as non-spoilery cryptic “it’s okay” comment as he could on Twitter after getting smacked in the face with the panic) and maybe they didn’t want people to imply she had a chance with Cas and that’s not what they were telling with her, and all the rest was a side effect of not casting a woman to act as the vessel for Hannah’s brief return…

For now I will assume the last thing on EARTH Kelly wants to do is kindle something with another angel while she’s being killed from the inside by her creepy angel baby and Cas is a sweetie pie who is kind to people but also still harbours the universe’s biggest crush on Dean so probably isn’t going to get over him very easily no matter how grumpy Dean acts towards him in relief that Cas hasn’t turned up dead in a ditch and was just not answering his phone for mysterious reasons.

Also he’s totally going to make off with the Colt because he’s like the last character standing who hasn’t stolen it from the Winchesters, and now I look at it like this, Bela spent half of season 3 wandering around in a trenchcoat stealing the Colt from them so I am going to be quite amused at the narrative symmetry if he does that.

(I don’t know - until we have a real clue of how Heaven is or isn’t controlling/manipulating him, I don’t really want to guess on his motives. Maybe it’s a Grand Gesture from Dean to let him hold it. Maybe he’s run off with it. Maybe it’s maybelline :P I hate not knowing and yet trying to talk about it like I do, so I really can only queue up potential scenarios, and never stick with one I like or will root for but generally have like, 12.)

Special Disclaimer: Gabby, maybe don’t read this, as it touches on the idea I mused over regarding Alice and how she got her holy powers.

So I’ve fallen in love with @the-vampire-inside-me‘s Inkborne AU. I’m not very sure what a lot of the backstory is in it yet– for example, whether or not Joey was abusive, whether or not he made Boris, Bendy, or Alice, or how quickly the Ink made the place decay, or… a timeline in general. But my brain sure wanted to find out, and it had the idea that this Bendy and Alice have a very strained relationship, and so this thing happened that assumes a looooooot of things about… everything I just mentioned. And explores why that relationship is strained. Trigger warning for talk about torture because boy howdy. Joey was. Yeah, he was a special kind of dick.

So anyway, have this drabble, otherwise titled “I write angst to deeply unfitting music.”

“when are you going to let that little angel come over for a playdate with venice?”

parker was preoccupied, putting away a stack of returned books, when the sound of elle chambers’ voice interrupted her thoughts. the question, one she’d been avoiding from her coworker for awhile, prompted her to bite down on her lower lip as she struggled to find a response.

“playdate? oh, no… i don’t think frankie’s… comfortable enough to play around other kids yet…” she felt her face grow hot as the words left her mouth, all of it lies. frankie was very comfortable around other kids; rather, it was parker who wasn’t comfortable letting her daughter anywhere out of her sight. for reasons she still had yet to figure out, parker even brought frankie to work with her, refusing to enroll her into daycare.

“look, i’m just asking for our kids to get together and play for a bit, not for a commitment. if it’s more comfortable for you, i can bring venice over to your place,” elle replied. “i know they’re the same age, and our neighbors just moved, so venice has been pretty bored playing by herself, y’know? i’m sure frankie gets bored being around grownups all the time, as well. it’s just an offer, hon.”

parker breathed out a soft sigh. elle was right. frankie was getting bored playing by herself and being around nothing but adults. but, despite the feeling of dread growing in her stomach, parker placed the last book back on the shelf, then headed towards frankie, who was amusing herself with the toys in the children’s section. she scooped her up into her arms, plastering a smile on her face as she brought the tiny tot up to eye level.

“what do you think, frankie? d’you wanna play with other kids sometime?” frankie’s squeals of delight echoed through the library as she bounced in her mother’s arms.

“yes, mama! i want to play! play with other kids! we play now?” parker’s fake smile melted into a real one at her daughter’s excitement.

“i think frank’s on board,” laughed elle. “so what do you say?”

“…alright, alright, you’ve got me,” parker said. “you can bring venice by for a playdate this weekend.”

Oh dear,
May I hold your hand?
May I introduce you to the fruits of my flesh?

The thoughts of you
have reduced my heart to an
orange: peel away
the miserable distance
that keeps me away from you,
hold my naked heart in your bare hands, devour me: all teeth and fingers.

On days you aren’t around to touch me,
your absence holds me,
presses against me
like bruises on peaches.
I keep picking out hours like
seeds from the watermelon waiting
for you to return.

I think if angels were to crack open my head, all they’d find is
honey and sunflower and
thoughts of you,

I blend in you like
salt in sea at the splash of
your tongue with mine.
You hold me
I shatter
into a riot
of spring.

Jack’s life was perfect, or near enough.

Indeed there were some bad aspects; He was woken by a screaming baby 3 times per night, his wife would be irritable and snappy during the day from the lack of sleep, as would he. He wasn’t too fond of his job either, he’d never imagined himself as a pencil pusher but the arrival of their little ‘Angel’ James had forced him to take the first job he came across.

I rewatched Cars yesterday and I read things about Sally from blogs and I’m sure you read them. There are a few things that I would like to say. Since the day I saw Sally in the first movie I always wanted to have a Porsche. Obviously it is impossible. Anyway. In the first film, Sally took on an important role. She was holding the town together. Everyone was desperate, but she was struggling for something. I would love to know her life in Los Angeles. Maybe it depends on other reasons why she help the town. She just does not help because she’s in love with the beauty there. Even meeting McQueen was an important process. I’m sure McQueen was in love with her first appearance. Although he said he would not take dinner her, he likes her. Sally was again the reason why McQueen did not want to leave the town before a few days of great racing. Neon signs were already fixed for her. When the team came in to pick him up, I noticed that both of them had their eyes filled up again. What a great loss. For a moment I thought Sally would go behind the trailer. Because on that scene, Sally really seemed to find it what she was looking for. Happiness. Yes, she had said she was not happy in Los Angeles, but there was something much more serious about her. Maybe we will never find out, but she was really happy with McQueen for the moment, and at least I think so, she trusted someone. She seemed to be relaxed. After the race, he returned to the town because he missed the place, and he missed Sally too. We all know that. And I hate that because Mater breaks that moment. We lost the single kissing scene because of him. (But I’m just angry for that scene. I love Mater, do not get it wrong.) Whatever it is anyway. Okay, Sally had to be very visible in the first movie. After all, it was a movie about the town. But I will not say the same things for the next movies. I was very excited when the second film came in five years. But they showed Sally for almost five minutes or so. It was a complete disappointment. The only thing we could see was that both of them were in Wheel Well and that scene did not last that long. Then we watched McQueen’s jealousy because of Francesco and then they left the town for World Grand Prix. Only Sally was not treated badly. All the characters in town were treated badly. It was just a film about Mater. It was a movie intended to make money. I’m not even talking about the pit scene in London. It was frustrating. I sincerely laughed in the film only on McQueen, Francesco and Sally scene. Six years later, the third movie was a little better. Maybe not as much as the first movie, but we still saw Sally. She convinced McQueen and many more. At least there were female characters and it was a feminist film. I hope that in the coming years something like a short movie will come out and we can learn what it is. Or they turn alternatives into short films for Cars 3 and we learn about Sally’s past. I love Sally so much and I do not want anything to happen to her. She and McQueen deserve the best. For me, they had to get married for 11 years. There is nothing to do. All I want is short films to arrive. Or better yet, they can start working on the fourth film.

Drinks Not All Around!

Title: Drinks Not All Around!

Pairing: Castiel x Reader

Word Count: 1,324

Warnings: cursing, maybe some angst?

Summary: The reader is Sam and Dean’s younger sister. She is a few days out from being old enough to legally drink, and the boys won’t let her go drinking with them so she finds her own way to keep busy.

A/N: This is my contribution to @mamaredd123’s 100 Quotes of Supernatural Challenge! My quotes are; 17. “If I plan to do anything else stupid, I’ll let you know.” (Castiel) 34. “You’re like a walking encyclopedia of weirdness.” (Dean) 79. “Sorry you have me confused with that other angel. You know the one in the dirty trench coat who is in love with you.” (Balthazar). The story is set in Season 6, as to accommodate Balthy being alive for this quote, and each quote used is in bold. I’d also like to add that Cas may be a little out of character, but that’s only because I wanted to give him a little more personality than what he normally has.

Absolutely Smitten

Stealing this off of my wattpad cos I really love it ! (I did write it tho and  I am v proud)

I present cute Dan Howell fluff!

Inspired by the dodie song obviously

Your POV:
You cautiously took a sip of your burning hot cinnamon chocolate drink which you and Y/F/N had ordered at your local Starbucks.
For some reason today seemed to be quite popular, crowds of people occupied the tables with their headphones in sipping their coffees. You and Y/F/N we’re lucky enough to find this table even though you had to chuck away someone’s latte that they had left there, but hey you weren’t complaining. You got out your laptop mirroring your friend who was working on an important essay for university, you didn’t really have anything to do but you came to keep her company and scroll through tumblr using the free Starbucks wifi.

“Um hi, so is it okay if me and my friend share your table because there’s no room here? an awkward voice asked me and my friend, I paused my music to answer the man and bloody hell was he gorgeous.
His hazel eyes seemed golden in the dim lighting, his fringe lazily flopped over his forehead as he looked down at me and he bit his lip as soon as I looked up making me want to scream from how adorable he looked.
My subconscious rolled her eyes from how cheesy and predictable I was, any good looking man that would talk to me would cause me to have instant butterflies.

Better Angels Of Our Natures - Ch. 10

Lena seemed like she wanted to ask another question, but held herself to a wordless nod, both of them looking to the door when Emily returned, a bright blue and orange plastic toy in her hands.

“I remembered what you said about your rifle being comforting, sometimes,” the redhead explained as she offered the foam dart gun, “and I noticed the other day your hand moved like you wanted to hold something while you were having trouble talking. I thought that maybe this would be a good substitute.”

The weight was all wrong, but the textured plastic of the grip and stock had a welcome solidity under her touch. It wasn’t quite the same as Widow’s Kiss, but still provided something to hold and steady herself with. Shifting herself fully upright, Amélie put the toy to her shoulder, instinctively sighting in, while Emily and Lena both moved to avoid her possible lines of fire. Her finger rested against the side of the trigger guard, and she took a deep breath, holding it until her modified lungs ached for release. Finally, she exhaled out through her nose, bringing the toy down and settling it across her lap. “Merci. It is not the same…but it is helpful.”

Lena’s smile brightened. “Do I get a toy gun?”

Emily rolled her eyes. “You are perfectly capable of going to a toy shop, sweet. This was a gift.”

Also, bonus chapter art from @dogtit, who is awesome and you should go over to their tumblr and tell them as much.

Having returned late in the night, Klaus felt rudely awaked with a sudden pounding on his bedroom door. “Nik!” a small voice called from the corridor. “It’s time for breakfast.”

He hauled himself out of bed, rubbing his tired eyes as he opened the door to find an excited Henrik waiting for him. “Mate, I’ve barely gotten any sleep. I promise, I’ll spend some time with you this afternoon.”

“Master Niklaus,” their butler Andrew interjected, easing himself into view behind Henrik’s bouncing form. “Lady Mikaelson specifically requested your presence in the dining room.”

Sighing, Klaus gave a reluctant nod. “Thank you, Andrew, I shall be dressed shortly.”

Esther Mikaelson had summoned her errant son to their country home where she was enjoying the holiday with Rebekah and Henrik. While Klaus usually enjoyed the time with his younger siblings, he hadn’t really looked forward to hearing the grisly details of preparing for Rebekah’s first season. It was well known that the only Mikaelson daughter would be a wealthy catch, and Klaus didn’t relish the kind of attention his baby sister might attract in her hunt for a husband.

Worse, Klaus risked his mother’s ambitious eye falling to his own unmarried status. A third son without a title needed more effort than he was willing to expend on finding a rich wife, but he had been fortunate to be recognized as his birth father’s heir a few years before. Marriage suddenly wasn’t a necessity to maintain his lifestyle, and he enjoyed the chance to learn his father’s merchant business throughout the continent during that time.

It appeared, however, that his luck had run out. Esther likely already had a few candidates for his consideration; she would invite them to dinners throughout the holiday for interrogation of their prospects, Klaus was sure.

He trudged down the stairs to meet his fate of heavy expectation, only to bump into a smaller body as he rounded the corner toward the kitchen. Linens burst from a girl’s grasp as she fell to the ground, her servant’s uniform crumpling beneath her. “Damn the world,” she muttered quietly, though not quietly enough.

Klaus’s eyebrows shot up in surprise at the American accent. “You’re a new face,” he realized, watching her gather the linens with a jerk.

“And you’re rude,” she napped as she stood, though she paled at the sight of his fine clothing. Embarrassment then flooded her cheeks with a deep flush. “Pardon me, sir, I thought the family was gathered for breakfast. I apologize for speaking out of turn.”

She was a pretty thing, and Klaus greedily tracked her blush down the neck of her plain dress. “No harm done, love,” he winked. “In fact, a little frankness would go far in this household. I am surprised my mother would hire one so bold, though.”

“Caroline is still learning,” the cold voice of his mother noted from the end of the hall. Esther shrewdly watched as Klaus stepped away from the young maid. “Those linens are hardly suitable for the beds now, dear. Please take them back to the laundry and try again.”

Klaus watched as the girl - Caroline - wilted in front of him at his mother’s admonishment. Her head dropped to her chest and she sank into a small curtsy before shuffling away as quickly as she had appeared.

With an imperious cluck, Esther turned on him. “I will not have you charming the help, Niklaus,” she chided. “They tend to think a pretty smile enough to rise from their station, and Caroline is hardly subordinate as it is. Don’t encourage her.”

Fighting the urge to roll his eyes, Klaus nodded and followed his mother into the dining room. He wondered how she managed to offend her sensibilities enough to still hire an impertinent American, but knew better than to press the issue. It was early, and he just wanted some food.

He looked back, though, just catching sight of the maid as she turned the corner.

Caroline. Her name was Caroline.

Prologue | Part One | Part Two | Part Three

After going to her post, she started to scavenge the area around her. She made her presence unknown to the humans, looking for any suspicious activities as she wasn’t able to be seen by anyone except for a supernatural being. This was how they always helped humans, cloaking themselves while giving guidance to any human without making themselves known or visible. But right now, she was on a mission, and was not to be interrupted by anyone at all.

Opening her angel radio, she didn’t dare contact her comrades, knowing that it would lead to something disastrous as their signal could easily be manipulated at this time. So she used it to track any other supernatural disturbances, as the radio was also used in that way. Closing her eyes, she concentrated her energy and grace into finding anything in any place.

Finally finding one, she had immediately teleported there, finding herself in front of a closed diner where the energy had came from.

Entering it herself with no problem, it was no surprise to her as she found it to be empty and cleaned up, but that made her mission all the more easier. It was quiet, too quiet in fact. It was like no life had shed past through here earlier, even if the diner seemed like it had been recently used and cleaned up. But that would’ve meant that there should be at least one human staying behind, considering the fact that the entrance was open. And if there were at least one, that would’ve meant at least a noise from the kitchen, except that it was dead silent.

Feeling a presence behind her, she immediately turned around and placed her palm on the demon’s forehead, smiting them within seconds. Burning light had came from their eye sockets as their eyes and soul were scorched to nothingness.

She heard footsteps of more coming her way from behind the counter. Turning her head, she immediately made eye-contact with two more black-eyed demons who charging towards her.

Dodging the first one, she immediately took out her angel blade from her sleeves as she pierced through the demon’s back, killing them. She took out the blade immediately, kicking the dead corpse towards the other with great strength.

The demon, immediately damaged by the impact of the hit, was about to leave his possessed human’s body, until the angel herself grabbed a hold of his collar. “Speak,” She demanded, wanting information to be spilled out of the demon she kept in her hold.

“About what?” The demon looked up, showing signs of fright and a little bit of backbone through his words. “You know what I want to know,” She claimed, her tone low and dangerous as she was threatening and willing to hurt the other if she didn’t get what she wanted.

“You’re gonna have to be more specific than that, sweetheart.” After that statement, she held her head up high, and took a breathe in. “The radio disturbances, what do you know about what’s been happening around this area?” She finally gave a complete question, fully tackling on the real reason why she was here. The demon looks up to her with a twisted smile.

What? Little static on the angel radio messed all your shit up?” He taunted at the angel before him, knowing fully sure of what she was capable of doing. “So it was you,” She assumed, confirming his taunting attitude to be a sign of his contribution to the currently falling of the angels. “Maybe it was,”

Unable to stand his attitude, she let go of him as she had an unreadable expression on her face. But what was pretty evident, was that she was pissed. “Well, that’s all I need then.” Was the only thing she stated, the demon thought she was finally going to smite him.

But no, instead, she showed her true form before his eyes. His eyes immediately melted due to the great light exposed to him, unable to handle the power and brightness as he cried in pain.

After returning to her vessel’s appearance, she stood tall before the weakened demon. “I won’t smite you,” She starts off. “No, but I will torture you. I’ll leave you here to agonizingly wallow in pain here, and if any passerby comes, you will spread the word of our presence here on earth.” She prophesied, before leaving the demon to suffer by himself as she vanished to somewhere else.

I have to get back to the fields, she thought. When she arrived to a physical location, it wasn’t quite where she had expected to be. It was the exact opposite of an open field, it was a warehouse. It looked to be torn down and abandoned; it had the smell of metallic rust, corroded on everything around her. Aside from that stench, it also reeked of sulfur. Taking in her surroundings, she failed to noticed figures standing far from behind her.

“Yo,” One called, and she immediately turned heads towards the direction of the sound. Her sight was met by demons, a group of demons to be exact. She recognized them to be the highly dangerous group of demons formed by Lucifer, making them the princes of hell.

The one who had greeted her had physically appeared to be a man no latter in his early twenties; having slick black hair that was styled into an undercut. His true form being worst than any of the demons she had last encountered, which is why she could tell they were different from the others.

“Wow, she is smokin’,” One commented shamelessly as he observed her winged form, which could only be seen by angel’s and demon’s alike. She noted him to have dyed blond hair, having the same style as the former male. “Too bad we’d have to kill her though,” He said to his companions, before shooting you a flirty look.

“Why, am I that important to be such a nuisance to your plan?” The female angel once again spoke, but this time taunting the demons, who she knew could very much kill her at any given moment. She walked closer to them, but still keeping distance that it was out of arm’s length.

They were more in numbers, and to add up, a lot more stronger than your average lower class demon. These demons could do a lot worse than demonic possession and having telekinesis, they would be able to do a lot more to most angels and almost all of the demons; what more to humans?

“She’s got spunk,” One silver haired lad spoke up as he crossed his arms, his hair parting mostly on the side of his face, almost covering his eye. His expression was unreadable, but it looked like he was interested in what was going to happen with her next.

“You’ll see a lot more than that if you don’t stop whatever you’re doing, but sadly I know you won’t.” She threatened as she kept her tone steady, taking out her angel blade from her sleeve.

“You got that right, but unfortunately,” The black haired man continued, clasping his hands together as he walked forward with a feigned saddened smile. “We have orders to fulfill, rules to follow, and that is to kill anyone who gets in our way.” He finished his statement, finally standing in a distance within a yard.

“You won’t get away with this.” She claimed, staring straight at him in the eye. But of course that was she knew she couldn’t take all of them at once. She couldn’t escape as well; she knew that when she had teleported here rather than in an open grass field. Her location had been locked down with symbols that were a weakness against angels. But of course, she wasn’t willing to give up her life and let them win against her, she was willing to put up a fight and wasn’t planning to lose.

For a moment there, the demon was confused. He stepped forward even more, standing inches away from her. “Get away with what?” He uttered quietly, almost as if it were a whisper or a low mumble as his face was close to her, staring at her face with interest. “Nobody will ever find you.” He claimed, before going back to his original spot where his crowd was.

“I’ll let you guys have this,” He said, allowing the other demons to walk towards the angel.

She stayed in place as she observed all of them, they were four in total excluding the who gave the command and just watched the scene unfold before him.

The blond one attacked first, using his fist to hook punch the side of her face, to which she dodged down and swiftly slide her feet to make him fall hard on his back. Standing up and stepping forward, she was met with a new opponent, whom had orange hair. She noticed from her peripheral vision a silver glint, causing her to turn and grab hold of the charging silver male, throwing him against the other to push them off as she charged at the last one. This one being a lot taller than the others, having a brown bowl cut. She was small in stature compared to him, so she easily dodged his attempted hold as she kicked him forward to stumble in his direction.

What she had failed to notice however, was that the blond had gotten back on his feet and had now taken hold of her by strangling her neck. Struggling, she forcefully shoved the angel blade down his thigh. He let a blood-curling scream escape his throat. “You bitch!” yelled at her as he was holding his bleeding thigh in pain, blood dripping on the floor.

The leader sighed loudly, expressing his exasperation as he hanged his head low, rubbing the back of his head as if the situation was too tiresome and wasn’t worth his time at all. “Fine, I’ll do it.” He lazily announced, eyes showing boredom. “When I said have fun, I didn’t meant get your asses kicked.” He expressed disappointment to his teammates, as they were all outwitted by the female angel.

When he stood in front of her within a good distance, they started pacing around each other. They were cautious of what the other was about to do, especially Y/N, she hadn’t seen his true powers yet, but he had seen hers while she was battling the others.

“I gotta say, you’re pretty good. Most angels would’ve died in a second if they ever encountered one of us,” He claimed, a smug sirk itching the corners of his lips. “But they all die anyways, no matter the time or how strong they are.” When he had said that, something triggered within her. Her eyes had widened at his words, and she was starting to grit her teeth out of the rage welling up inside her.

Her armed hand was starting to convulse out of the uncontrollable rage. “Did it bring a smile to your face to have killed my men?” Her voice had dripped with poison, she was holding back on her words and actions. She was thinking of all the men they had lost, just because of them. How many of her men had died by his hands? How many missions were jeopardized just because of him, she kept thinking.

He was silent for a moment, wearing an unreadable expression. “Sure as hell did.” He wore that sickly sweet grin on his face, and that was the last straw before she thrusted her blade towards him.

He had only dodged the attack by moving to the side, grabbing hold of her hand and arm, attempting to bend it backwards. Instead, she brought her weight upwards along with her body, entangling the demon in between her thighs before slamming him down.

When she got back on her feet, she tried to gain distance from him, only to be slammed to the nearest walls by an unspeakable force. He was using his powers, and it was overpowering. She wasn’t able to use her own as she felt like she was losing air and her insides were being strangled. She struggled to break free from his hold, but to no avail.

His hand was pointed at her direction, keeping her there with his telekinesis. He was beginning to walk towards her, and she was met with a pair of scathing yellow eyes. His eyes had turned to slits when he had been angrily staring at her. “You should be fucking glad I kept you alive this long,” He spat.

Honestly, going around and fucking with our powers? You’re lucky I didn’t shred you to pieces myself when I saw you.” ‘What?’ was what she thought as her eyes widened to meet his. That didn’t add up, that didn’t add up to her. Was the disturbance just a revenge plot against the angels for messing with their powers? She was never given a mission to subdue any of the demons’ powers, unless something was up and she didn’t know.

“What… are you ta..?” She tried to utter out to him. He somehow understood what she was trying to say. “Don’t play dumb! That’s why you’re here right!? I’ve had enough of you bugs!” He snapped, his hold was starting to get stronger and more unbearable for her. And it made her realize something.

It was that the demon in front of her had nothing to do with this, and it was no wonder why the others weren’t properly fighting her. They were all powerful, there was no way she could’ve last this long against them, let alone win against them  if they had their full powers. That disturbance was also affecting the demons, not just the angels.

She was in a dangerous situation, and the time was running. She didn’t know what to do to get him to stop, she couldn’t throw the blade at him when she couldn’t move her arms. And she definitely most likely couldn’t use her powers right now. So now there was only one option, and it was to use the angel radio to contact heaven.

If she contacted Heaven, she would be granted her extra powers that a normal angel like her wouldn’t have, but it was only used in emergencies only and is granted by the hosts of Heaven. She didn’t know if the radio would work now though, but she had to give it a try.

Once she had, she tried to get through the static clouding her fading mind. And then a sudden burst of light sent the demon flying back, sending him to tumble back a good distance from her.

She had landed on her knees and feet when his hold was released, and she had gasped a sudden amount of air. Taking time to breathe before standing up to regain her composure.

Before she could get a chance to speak, the other demons started charging against her, only to be disregarded to the side by the newly acquired powers. “Let me speak.” She demanded, standing in place in front of him.

“I don’t know why in the world you guys are here, but I’m on a mission.” Her voice was booming around the wide warehouse. “But not the mission you think I’m on, I’m here to stop whatever is fucking with our angel radio and causing us to die!” She exclaimed as she looked at him straight in the eyes with her own fierce ones.

He looked at her as if baffled, and most likely dumbfounded as he was still on the floor. He stood up to his knees, and regained his composure. “Alright, if that’s what you’re here for, then why the fuck are our powers spazzing!? Huh!?” He snapped again, this time raising his voice out the pure rage overpooling in him. “Heck if I know!? Angels can’t lie, we can only speak or shut up!”

When she had snapped, the entire place had fallen silent enough to hear a pin needle’s drop. “Whatever this force is, it’s affecting the both of us.” She pointed out as she went on, crossing her arms. “I don’t know what it is, but I think it would be best if we stayed as two parties rather than having a third.”

“Are you implying something wings?” He queried, finding her implement amusing as a condescending smirk itched his features. He walked towards her, looking at her straight in the eye as if not believing her.

“I’m suggesting that we should work together,” She confirmed, not breaking from the stare he was throwing at her; she wasn’t afraid of him.

“And why should we? We’re against each other,” He opposed, having a fake kind smile as if mocking the situation itself. There was no way he would be working with this common angel, he was a demon who was created by Lucifer himself, why would he?

“I could care less about that, but I want this rivalry to stay just between us  angels and demons.” She countered, proving her point as she was confident that she was right.

He chuckled darkly, looking at his feet as his head hanged low, not believing he was hearing the words coming from an angel, a Warrior of God. He brought his head back up, staring at her with chilling yellow eyes. “Oh sweetheart,”

“You’ve got yourself a deal.”

The Right Path: A Lover’s Wager

Part 1

Part 2

“The People have voted,” Lady Thea spoke in front of a large podium in the city square. Y/N sat in her throne, elevated above Lady Thea as she spoke. The results of the people’s vote was in and this would decide whether or not those of Royal Blood could rule without a spouse. It would end the Council’s motion to dethrone her based on her marital status. It would also give Thor time to live with his lover in Midgard.

“The Amendment 54 has been voided. Them of Royal Blood may rule over their land without the aid of a spouse,” Lady Thea spoke and the crowd cheered beneath her. Queen Y/N smiled at their glee, and in reaction to her own. There was more time, time for her to actually learn to love Thor, to regard him as more than a dear friend. Somehow as she thought more about this it no longer made her happy. She was only postponing the inevitable. It gave her the illusion of a choice. Sure, she could put off her marriage to Thor for a while but in the end it would only be him. She could only marry him. As the people danced in the town square, pleased with the new world order, the queen went back inside the walls of her palace where no one would see the heavy weight of grief cling to her. Before she could hide away in her chambers, Thor caught up with her.

“Thank you, dear Queen Y/N,” he spoke earnestly as he pulled her into a hug.

“Thank the people, Thor,” she responded with a kind smile.

“You fought for it, though. You deserve as much thanks as they do.”

“Go to her Thor. She is of Midgard. Her time is short,” She reminded giving his arm a pat before turning around to continue her journey back to her room.

“But what of Loki?” Thor questioned, making her pause in her retreat.

“Leave Loki to me. He will be handled,” she assured. She moved about the palace halls like a ghost, barely making a sound. In the comfort of her room she let out a relieved sigh.
