she needs to get back

anonymous asked:

I work at Shoppers as a cosmetician, and dumbass customers don't see that they need to bring their beauty products back to us to pay. We don't make commission on the 12 minutes we spent answering your stupid repetitive skincare questions if you go to the front cash. Even if I tell them to come back to me I watch them walk to the front. I have a quota to meet and some woman flat tells me she won't come back cause she needs Gatorade. And we get dinged for our percentage being low. Fuck all of you.

Thank You, Re: That cold/snuggles thing

@lbovie: I wanna keep reading. More please!

@lajulie24: Oh, yes. Snuggling, bed sharing, unexpected pre-ESB sweetness? Check, check, check.

@frozen-force-leia: awww

@jediofgrace: Aww! Poor Han, but I love how Leia takes care of him. She sure doesn’t need much urging to get right back into bed with him! 😛

@asmoonlightthroughthepines: SO SWEET. I love how she’s got no patience for his teasing even when he’s sick!

@amilynh: Awwww!  Her serious orders about how to get well are awesome.

@knightedrogue: So sweet! Leia taking exactly none of Han’s flack, focused on his health. I can imagine this scenario playing out mulitple times, in multiple parallel universes, and ending precisely the same way every time. :) Ah, my shipper heart!

@jennycbs: I love this and I want more (bc I am greedy)!!

Thanks, everyone for saying such nice things! All your comments made me smile! Of course, Leia isn’t going to let Han kid when his LIFE is IN HER HANDS (or under her cheek but we’re not going to discuss or mention that, are we, Han?) And what happens after Leia crawls back in bed with him…we shall see (in two to three months…)

Can we please talk about how surprised Mon-El seemed that just being there and holding Kara was enough?

I felt like when he was talking with Winn and he said “what’s left for me?” what he meant was “what’s left for me to do for her?” as in she’s Supergirl - what could she need from him? I think he was kind of afraid to ask and have her realize that she didn’t actually need him for anything.

I think he realized in their last scene that being there, supporting her in the simplest ways, was enough for her and it kinda blew him away. I think he was struggling to see what he could give to someone so incredible and strong and I think those little expressions - the smiles and the soft looks on his face - were showing us that he understands that yes she’s amazing beyond words but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want someone to be there for her at the end of a terrible day.

He asked what she needed from him and he probably wasn’t prepared to hear that just being there was enough. From what we know about his past there probably hasn’t been a time in his life when just being Mon-El was enough for someone. Especially someone he cared about and that he wanted to comfort and support. He is so new to all of this and I can’t imagine what it meant to him for her to tell him that all she wanted from him… was him.

I’m not angry.  You know?  You don’t work for me.  I’m worried.                                                I’m worried about you.

So this weekend I may have saved a little girl from a pedophile

So this weekend I was at a water park with my finance. I am on a lot of medication and overheat easily, and the park was almost empty so I would hang out in the wave pool to cool down while my fiancee went on the slides because I didnt want to slow him down but had to regulate my body temperature between slides.

In the pool I noticed a little girl, 6-9 years old, maybe. She was going up to adults and depending on their gender saying either “mommy” or “daddy” and climbing on them/being very physically affectionate (hugging, cheek-kissing). At first I thought these adults were family members but I noticed they all eventually abandoned the girl and went off with their own children. Eventually she came up to me and called me “Mommy” and the waves were going heavy so I thought at first that maybe she was confused/afraid/disoriented so I let her climb on me piggyback and held her above the waves and started to ask her where her mom was, if she needed my help getting back to her mom (in case the waves were making it hard for her to swim or disorienting her) and she told me “my mommy isnt here, you’re my mommy now” and i let her sit on my shoulders until the waves passed and another little girl called her over to play. I thought they were maybe together but realized they weren’t once they split up, so i watched her for a cycle or two before my boyfriend finished with the slide he was on and i asked him to keep an eye on her while I alerted some lifeguards because I was concerned for her safety/worried some perv would hurt her or try to leave with her. The lifeguards went to find her mom and I kept watching the girl from across the pool. Most adults reacted like I did, sort of alarmed and looking around for her parents but for some reason most of them just let her go without looking for her parents. Eventually she went up to a man who reacted in a way that appeared familiar, I thought he way maybe her parent but he started looking around the pool in a suspicious way. So i sort of walked over to them and the girl recognized me and immediately said “Mommy! I found daddy!” And the guy way too quick was like “Im her father.” And I was like “No, you’re not.”

I called a lifeguard over and over the radio we were told that her mother was located passed-out drunk in a room with her infant brother so I started screaming and pointing at the guy telling the lifeguard that hed tried to claim the little girl and they cleared the wave pool and I had to talk to the cops and shit but I guess the moral of the story is if you see something, SAY SOMETHING, because that pervert literally could have walked out of the water park and into the resort and hurt this little girl and she must have interacted with 10-15 adults other than me who just decided this kid wasnt their problem.

When Hera Calls Kanan 'Love'

I’ve honestly been a little surprised this week by the wide variety of reactions to Hera calling Kanan ‘Love’ in the Rebels season three finale.

This is my take:

Kanan and Hera’s canon relationship status is established from their very first scene together in the pilot, in which Hera calls Kanan—you guessed it, 'Love.’

Hera continues to call Kanan 'Love’ or 'Dear’ repeatedly throughout the first season of the show as our heroes fight the Empire around their home base of Lothal and beyond. But then the season ends and so do the terms of endearment, vanishing entirely from her lips until we reach “Zero Hour.” (And we all collectively groaned “Whhhyyyyyyy????”)

This is where I think it gets interesting and says so much about Hera’s character. The real key, to me, is what happens at the end of season 1: the Ghost crew joins the Phoenix Squadron/greater rebellion—a move which was, first and foremost, Hera’s idea. And she quickly becomes a ranking member of the military group.

Suddenly, they are no longer just the space family roaming about solo anymore, they are part of something larger, and their missions, rather than being personal, are now professional, even when they are not with the rest of the fleet. Since before A New Dawn, Hera has been, is, and always will be devoted to and driven by her larger goals in life, and she quickly embraces the professionalism of her new role.

Thus, because we nearly always see Kanan and Hera in the company of others and on a mission, 'dear’ and 'love’ vanish from her public vocabulary. If you happened to work with your significant other (especially in a highly structured or professional environment), you wouldn’t call them 'babe’, hubby’, 'wifey’, etc. at work either.

Over the course of the next two seasons, Hera’s professionalism continues; she grows as a leader and her sense of command expands, until we reach the crisis of “Zero Hour.” The imperial bombardment rains down on Chopper Base, and we watch Hera’s expression shift from confidence/hope to a visceral fear/terror. Before the bombardment, she tells Kanan “You need to get back to base immediately"—a command, an order, properly phrased and neutral. But afterwards (and in front of General Dodonna, no less) that shifts to: "Now please, come home, Love.”

In the face of their mutual near death experiences, Hera drops her professional guard and for a single moment, they are just them. She’s Hera, and Kanan’s the man she loves, whose safety matters more than anything else in the galaxy. The moment is both minuscule and enormous. It’s just one slip, but it reassures us—it tells us that no matter where they go, what they do, or who they work with, Kanan and Hera are still Kanan and Hera.

Their private life may be private, but they are still as in love and devoted as ever. And this is beautiful to me.

I also want to note that her admission isn’t a weakness, in any way. Just a little while later, when Thrawn threatens Kanan to try to get Hera to surrender (certainly inferring the nature of their relationship himself), she stands as strong as ever.

Tough as durasteel and always in love with her Jedi, that’s my girl.

I got a message from a certain fanfic author and I never thought this day would come but it did and I’m so happy. Also doing all the shading all on one layer in one color is weird how do people do this.

Void!Stiles x Reader

Requested by @ashley-esme

“I know you’re not Stiles.” You muttered and he glanced across the room at you. “Stiles would have taken me to Scott if I was in danger.”

“What if Scott’s the danger?” He asked and you frowned.

“Why would Scott be a danger to me, aren’t I part of his pack?” You countered and he shrugged.

“Maybe I just think it’s not safe.” He offered as you shuffled from foot to foot.

“So, you want to keep me safe… why, Scott and Allison said you wouldn’t have any feelings.” You asked curiously and he mocked being hurt, putting his hand over his heart.

“Maybe I don’t, maybe it’s all Stiles.” He offered and you rolled your eyes.
