she looks so lost without him

Caitlin Snow

Caitlin Snow is one of the best, and yet underestimated, characters on TV, let me tell you why.

She’s a hell of a doctor, she’s a scientist, she very very smart and brilliant, she always comes up with solutions, she saved people asses more than once without taking credits for it. She’s a hero, she was a hero way before she got her powers.

But she’s also cold by nature, she doesn’t open up about her feelings, she can think straight without letting her emotions get in the way.

She lost her husband, twice. She got together with a villain who played with her feelings, who kidnapped her and treated her like she belonged to him. She managed to escape from him, by herself.

She is broken, but not by her powers. They broke her, life broke her and still look where she is, she tries so hard to fix herself without looking for help.

She’s broken, but she can fix herself because that’s what she’s doing for all her life and she will keep doing it.

She’s broken but not lost.

All of that in a female character. That’s so important and makes me so proud of her.

I want Caitlin to be treated like she deserves, her character needs more consideration.

moment of silence for the missed opportunities in once more with feeling without cordelia, oz and faith

  • faith expecting herself to have some hardcore rock ballad if anything but it ends up being a slow, sad ballad about craving acceptance and validation and the whole time she’s trying to shut herself up through various techniques like holding her hands over her face and sticking her face underwater but she won’t stop fucking sINGING
  • cordelia is getting SO impatient waiting for her bursting-into-song moment that she just starts singing everything without needing to. when she Finally gets her moment and the music starts swelling for her, she coughs, and realizes she’s lost her voice. fu ck.
  • oz. my man oz. it doesn’t affect him but no one else seems to notice?? and every time there’s a group number when the camera focuses on him it just goes Dead Silent. no singing. every scene, every song– he just looks into the camera like he’s on the office.

In the afternoon Cromwell took him to the Queen, to whom he delivered the Admiral’s letters and charge. She complained of his long delay, which had caused her husband many doubts. She said the Admiral must think of applying some remedy, and act towards the King so that she may not be ruined and lost, for she sees herself very near that, and in more grief and trouble than before her marriage. She charged him to beg the Admiral to consider her affairs, of which she could not speak as fully as she wished, on account of her fears, and the eyes which were looking at her, her husband’s and the lords’ present. She said she could not write, nor see him again, nor stay longer. She then left him, the King going to the next room, where the dance was beginning (se leverent), without the said Lady going thither.

Sketch Worthy Face

“So anyways,” Y/N continues, “We have to choose a person in our life to sketch.”

“Any ideas as to who you’re going to sketch?” Joe asks, lifting his gaze from the dinner he’s cooking to look at her. His best friend tilts her head as she studies him, and he realizes that there’s a smudge of charcoal on her cheek.

Must have been drawing before she came over, he thinks to himself.

“Well, it’ll be one of you boys. I mean, you guys are the ones most in my life.”

“You saying you don’t have any other friends?” He teases, grinning over at her.

“Please,” She rolls her eyes, “You guys would be lost without me.”

“Probably.” Joe agrees, laughing lightly. “So which one of us? Wait, let me guess!”

“I can’t just tell you?”

“No. Hmm,” He leans his hip against the counter, tapping his chin with the spoon he was using to stir. “Who has a sketch worthy face…”

“Joe,” Y/N starts but he shushes her quickly.

“You think I’m going to sketch Jack?”

“Yup.” Joe nods, focusing back on the food, trying to ignore the flare of jealously he feels at that. Why wouldn’t she sketch the younger Maynard? He would be perfect for it.

“Well, you’re wrong.” She tells him, “I don’t want to sketch Jack.”

“Then who are you going to sketch?”

“I was hoping to sketch you, actually.” Y/N replies softly, and when he looks back up at her, there’s a pink tinge to her cheeks.

“Only if you’re comfortable with it. I can ask one of the other boys if you want though.”

“No, it’s fine. You can sketch me. I just, I didn’t think you’d want too.” Joe admits, shrugging.

“Who wouldn’t want to sketch you? Besides, you’re most prominent in my life. So you deserve to be.”

“I know, I’m pretty awesome.” He winks at her as he turns off the heating, dishing out their dinner. “When do you want to do it?”

“Tomorrow work for you?”

“Tomorrow works perfectly. Now, dig in.”

“Are you comfortable?” Y/N asks the next evening, glancing over at Joe from her spot on the couch.

“For the fourth time, yes.” He tells her, laughing lightly. “And I’ve got my video ready to edit. So you just worry about your stuff.”

“I was just checking, jeez.” She smiles back, shifting the sketch pad she has on her lap. “Go edit.”

“Go sketch.”

“I will.”

“Fine.” Joe smirks before focusing on the computer in front of him. He has headphones in, but for the most part he’s editing the visual, and so doesn’t need the sound on. Instead, he listens to the sound of the pencil sketching against the paper, letting it distract him slightly from editing.

Y/N, on the other hand, is very focused. Her eyes trace along Joe’s facial feature’s while he hand draws them onto the paper.

She hadn’t really studied her best friend before, not in this way. Now though, she notices his jaw line, and the way it tenses up as he edits. She takes in the way his eyes focus in on the computer screen, the blue shifting and changing in their shade, darting back and forth across the screen. He occasionally drags his bottom lip between his teeth, as if he doesn’t even notice it. And his hair hangs lightly in front of his eyes, occasionally brushed out of the way until it falls back down.

As she’s sketching Joe, Y/N realizes just how attractive her best friend is.

And now he was sat there, letting her sketch him. He always did that, helped her in any way that he could. He always made her dinner, took her grocery shopping, let her rant during a bad day, or watched shitty romance movies. Joe was always there for her, from helping her with her art stuff to more serious life stuff.

He cared for her.

Much like she cared for him.

But this was different, and her pencil slowed against the paper as she realized just how much she cared for him.

“Oh.” Y/N gasps, her cheeks turning red. Joe glances up from the computer, pulling the headphones out of his ears as he frowns.

“What’s wrong? Did I move too much?”

“No, no.” She shakes her head, “You’re fine. It wasn’t you. It’s me.”

“You aren’t making sense.” He stretches out a foot to nudge hers, “What’s going through your mind?”

“Uhm,” Y/N glances down at the sketch she was doing of Joe before looking back up at the man sat in front of her, waiting patiently. “I think I just figured something out.”

“That you’d rather be sketching Jack?” He can’t help but tease.

“No, that I like you.” She says instead, cheeks burning as she meets his surprised stare.

“Well, we are best friends…”

“More than as a best friend.”

“Oh gods, this is weird now, isn’t it?” Y/N groans, hiding her face with her sketch pad. “I shouldn’t have said anything.”

“Hey, hold on now,” Joe speaks, and she feels hands gently pulling the sketch pad from her hands. “You haven’t let me say my piece.”

“If it’s letting me down, can I just leave instead?” She mumbles.

“I’m not letting you down.” He smiles softly at her, a hand moving to cup her cheek gently, “Quite the opposite. Because I like you as more than a best friend too.”

“You do?”

“Yes.” Joe says simply before leaning in to kiss her. “I just didn’t think you felt the same, so I never said anything.”

“I just needed to sketch out my feelings apparently…” Y/N replies, glancing at the drawing she had started.

“Can you finish it later?”

“Yes.” She tells him, pulling him in for another kiss.

  • what she says: i'm fine

Me as I rewatch 1x06. Yes, I apparently like to torture myself

Like… I need someone to hug Mike. This poor puppy is so sad and lost without his Rookie. He’s not devastated over breaking up with Amelia – he’s a mess because Ginny won’t talk to him.

Look at this gif!

Look at that face! Look at his sad lost, forlorn face because Ginny is mad at him. His pitcher, his girl who he call up when that upstart Duarte was comin’ for him. This girl who lit a fire in him again. This girl who made him excited again. Who he pushes himself to keep up with in the gym.

She won’t talk to him and he’s all sad and lost.

Someone hug his stupid punk ass!

Like… I can’t

“You’re very knowledgable about this kind of stuff…thank god, I’m sure I’d be lost without you.” He joked, reaching out to run his fingers over the silky straps and dainty lace of the lingerie, the gold of the material glimmering underneath the store’s brilliant lighting. She tried not to stare, only watching him curiously as he seemed to get lost looking at the lingerie, as if he was imagining how it would look on his husband.

“Uh…of course, thank you sir.” She shifted, trying to gauge the alpha’s reaction. “What do you think of this one?”

Basically imagine that but like. Either marinette’s miraculous gets taken away completely or her transformation wears off and shes too weak to hide while she’s changing back (maybe the villain of the week is actually *surprise!* competent, maybe its hawkmoth idk) but anyway so she changes back at her school in the process of defending the kids? and the kids are like “holy,,, shit shes. i know her. shes in my english class. thats marinette. holy. holy cannoli. jesus christ.”

and the baddie is demanding that they hand her over but theyre like …no. They crowd around her and protect her and even somehow manage to fend them off until chat noir shows up.

imagine even chloe standing up for her.

imagine like, one scenario where shes not the biggest bitch possible.

You cheated

You are so happy of finally being able to get out of medical. Two days ago you were shot by an arrow so Abby decides that you had to stay in case sonething goes wrong.

You run through the hallways so you can surprise Bellamy. When you reach your room, you open the door and you see it. He is in top of some girl. Bellamy sees you with widen eyes.

“(Y/n)” bellamy tries to explain but you turn around to run. You run so fast, you need Clarke but she left when you came back from Mount Weather.

You hurry to the exit since Bellamy is running behind you. You make it to the forest. When you know you lost him, you sit there crying and screaming. You have no pourpose without him so you decide to set a goal: find Clarke.

Three months later, Azgeda is following you for all the lives you’ve taken while looking for Clarke. You know that your best chance is in Arkadia so you come back.

As soon as Octavia sees you she runs and pulls you into a hug. You’ve changed and she notices it. You have black clothes and war paint.

“I miss you (y/n)” she cries and you hug her tightly.

Someone comes into the room and you turn to see. Bellamy.

“(Y/n) you’re alive. Where have you been” you look at him with disgust. Octavia has already left.

“You don’t get to ask me that. You broke my heart. You broke me. You don’t get to look at me, to touch me, to talk to me and you don’t get to ask questions” you are furious. You slap him and you just walk out of the room while tears springs down your face. Get knocked down, get back up.

When do you think Simmons realized she was in love with Fitz? Like, I believe that Fitz realized he was in love with her at the end of FZZT. But when was Jemma's moment of realization?

Hi Anon!

I think most everyone in the fandom will have a different take on this question.   So this is just my personal read on it, a lot of how I look at it is someone who fell in love and married her best friend after nearly a decade of friendship.

Jemma has loved Fitz for years, she loved him even before they came onto the Bus.   But the kind of love change from friendship to romance over the years….and likely before she even realized it.  I really saw her worry during The Hub as beyond Friendship as he went on that first mission without her.  Where i think she had the big moment was when she saw Hunter with Bobbi in SOS.

Until then they had lost friends, but this was watching two people that loved each other nearly lose each other.  It was a reminder not only of the pod but she could lose the man she loved even before he knew it, even before they had a chance to properly talk about what happened.  This was all compounded in that Fitz was “bound for war”.  The cost of being a spy.

I do believe that Robert is under a lot of pressure with the appeal and Liv and Aaron being on drugs and we obviously don’t know what Aaron says to him when he’s visiting, but I do feel like Robert drinking himself into oblivion, trashing everything and then making a pass at the woman who basically got them into this mess is a bit over the top?? I mean I can understand the drinking and the trashing everything in sight state of mind. He’s lost without Aaron, he doesn’t know how to sleep without Aaron at the side of him. He’s not eating and he’s got so much work to do regarding the scrapyard, Home James and looking after Liv. He promised he’d look after Liv and his eyes he’s already failing because she’s been expelled. To me it’s just a way to bring up the whole cheating/robecca trope again.

the oc and jimin's relationship in KGHT intrigues me i was wonderin... if the 2 of them really did get separated (perish the thought, of course! ;o;) who'd be the most affected by it? it seems like the oc is more dependent on him, but granted we haven't seen that much inside jimin's head yet so i'm curious! and going off that other anon's ask... you said jimin wouldn't get protective over her with yoongi, but what about someone else? like the diff between a dog hybrid, ppl from the factory, w/e?

omg i love this question D”: If they ever became separated I think they would both take it hard in different ways. Jimin looks out and protects her, and gives her tough love when she needs it because he cares so much for her. So, she would just be lost without him. It’s not to say that she isn’t smart and couldn’t do well on her own, because she is, but she allows herself vulnerability with Jimin since she’s known him the longest and he was there from the beginning. She trusts him the most, and looks to him for pretty much everything. She’s kind of a baby when it comes to him. lol which he has hinted at before… lots of times. Even if he doesn’t let her get her way like everyone else does (which is another reason why she needs him). haha So if they were to get separated, she would have no one to turn to and feel more of a sense of hopelessness. Like… what’s the point? If she doesn’t have Jimin, she doesn’t have anything. Though, these are her feelings before meeting Yoongi.

Jimin, on the other hand, has seen her issues with the caregivers and the factory. I’ve hinted at it before, like obviously she’s scared to go back, and I’m not sure if I’ll ever write it into the story. He’s helped her through them, and continues to do so, so he feels a certain responsibility to protect her and look out for her. He sees that vulnerability in her and worries a lot about her. If they were to get separated, he would probably go crazy wondering what happened to her. But now with Yoongi, he is beginning to worry a lot less, and Yoongi takes some of the weight of that because he makes the two of them feel safe.

I’m sorry it doesn’t really answer you question. haha Truth is, it would be terrible for them both. Not to mention, they are each other’s best friends so life would be boring without the other. hehe

And for the other question… mmm I wanna answer it so bad, but I will just say wait for the next chapter. Something exciting happens, and you will get your answer. :P

(also… pay attention to their comments on smells…. it’s important lol)

Closed~ (child!Ray)

It had been about 2 weeks of Tony finding out he had a child, a small child of five years old. How he came to know was quite the tragic story. Her mother was murdered in front of her.

It came apprent to him, that the child couldn’t be left alone for long without freaking out.

He had to bring her to this s.h.i.e.l.d. meeting because Pepper couldn’t take her to a meeting in Boston.

Tony had been so focused he hadn’t seen Ray wonder off. The girl had blonde hair and Tony’s eyes, and she wore jeans and an AC-DC t-shirt. Obviously Tony had dressed her.

Ray looked around lost, holding her teddy bear in one of her hands.

sawyer gives the last gun back to jack and is trying to wind him up
and he says “i made a deal with your girlfriend”
and without a moment’s hesitation jack replies “what’d she give you?”
and sawyer looks confused
so jack clarifies “kate, what’d she give you?”

Why I love Sarah J Maas' books so much

In all the books I read, my favorites are always with strong female leads. A girl who can save herself if necessary. But still CHOOSES to be saved sometimes. To not do it all alone. Harry Potter was a series with a main male protagonist, but if you look at Hermione, the boys would have been lost without her. She saved them, and to give Ron a boost, she let him save her sometimes. To get the right answer. And encouraged him to be smart or brave without her. In Eon/a it was a girl in a mans world who had to pretend to be a boy and in the end, it was a girl that was actually needed to save everyone.

With Aelin there is no pretending to need to be saved, and though she does need it once or twice, she didn’t ask. The boys just admired her and were there when she needed them and she returned the favor.
With feyre she did need to be saved, but in the end it she saved Rhysand and I don’t think she got nearly enough credit for her save on the Rainbow or when she saved him. It’s not like she had a life long history of training like Aelin when Aelin saved Chaol. (That scene gave me chills!)

Females need more books like this. More books where the girl does the saving and rescuing with no scrapping or “oh help me I need a man”

Women don’t need a man. Women need to be strong and find a man who can respect that be there for each other.

“Don’t fashion me into a maiden that needs saving from a dragon. I am the dragon and I will eat you whole.”

He walks slowly, still unable to let the notion rest on his brain. She was supposed to be fine, she was supposed to be happy but he ca’t imagine her smiling in a place like this, locked up in washed up walls and metal doors while people drag themselves around in their pajama and the sound of a boring talk show coming from the common room.

Medications change people’s chemistry, it effects their breath and their smell, if ever so slightly, so it takes him a moment to recognize hers. She’s wearing sweatpants and a grey cardigan without buttons. She has lost more than a few pounds and that fire in her eyes that made him want to poke at her until all her attention was on him.

What happened to her? How did she end up here? This is not her place, his reason protests, but all gets muted in his head when he sees her small hands reaching out, holding on to Enzo’s arm, whom looks all too happy to let her. He calls her love, and kisses her mouth and she looks like she’s going to sink her nails into his flesh just so that she can keep a piece of him with her.

Damon enters the hallway before her eyes can meet his, back against the wall trying to understand.

“You didn’t tell me why you’re here,” she says, and it’s been so long since Damon heard her voice that his heart speed up without his consent.

“My mouth was otherwise occupied,” that’s something he would say “I wouldn’t leave you,” he hears Enzo add with a more sincere tone.

Those were the words he should have told her three years ago. His arm was sopposed to be the one she held on to, for support. Instead he abandoned her, and she found a replacement, one appropriately hungry for her attention, for her love.

“I know,” she says, voice tired and amazed, like she could not believe someone would care for her so much.

He was truly a shitty best friend, wasn’t he?

He hides from Enzo. He hides from Bonnie, stays close enough to hear her breathing under the creepy silence of this cold place that’s supposed to help put the fire back in her eyes.

He hears the rustling of the sheets of her bed, the steps of the uninterested nurse that brings her a tray with a minuscle pudding and a plastic cup with a pill that rolls in it, hitting the weak walls of the cup.

“Your medicine, Miss Bennett,” the woman says in her best imitation of a caring tone, “Open your mouth, Miss Bennett. Let me see,” she says and he cannot believe Bonnie decided to be here, cannot think or imagine about what drove her to put herself through this. It’s humiliating and lonely and her life was not supposed to turn out like this.

The walls are empty, and so is the tiny room she’s staying in. He can see her laying in her bed, curled up on the side, hair pushed back behind her ears, dark shadows under her closed eyes, so very pale.

He opens the door after stealing the key from the night shift nurse and hovers next to her for long moments before deciding to sit in a corner. Bonnie looks so tired he’s scared to see her reaction, or better her lack of reaction. The idea that her fire is completly out scares him shitless. The thought that the only strenght left in her is the one she uses to hold on to Enzo like a madwoman is unbareable. So he sits and watches like the stalker he is. So he sits and watches and wait for a sign that she’s not lost to him, that he didn’t fuck up bad enough yet.

When he raises her eyes on her, hers are open in his direction. He’s not sure she can see him because she doesn’t move nor speaks. Until she does.

“My doctor says I should talk to you,” she says, breaking the breath in him. She looks oddily calm but she is speaking to him and it makes him dizzy.

“She says that this,” she stops, takes a breath, starts again, “She says that the allucinations is the way my subconscious tries to cope with what happened, but you won’t go away until I let myself find closure.” she explains, “It’s not like I didn’t know, deep down,” she armits with a trembling smile and a voice that almost breaks. Only almost.

“I didn’t want you to go away,” she armits, out of breath, with tired eyes and every muscle in her body going tense. Damon wants to speak up, tell her to not let him go away now, that there’s no need to close a thing because he’s back but is he really? Isn’t he offering himself up for slaughter? What’s the point in opening a wound he can’t be there to see heal?

“Not back then, not now,” she adds, “But the choice was not mine. And you weren’t either. I just-”

The words make poor sense and tough the sound is so unintrusive they are loud in his brain.

“I was so mad at you. So mad at myself, for letting you in, for thinking you would stay. That I was worth you staying.” she looks very tired, just about to go out with barely a whimp, “But it was my fault, I know that now. We all make our choice and have to live with it. Yours was always Elena, I knew that but I thought I could… I just wanted to keep you for a while, you know. My best friend. But before that you were Elena’s boyfriend.” yes, but if that’s true why trying to find confort in the thought of Elena could never bring relief, why all he saw for threey years were her green eyes and her wet cheeks, why all he heard was her broken voice accusing him, telling him You hurt me.

“You’re probably dreaming of her now. Even desiccating you’re probably happy just because you’re next to her. It must be nice,” she says with a sad smile, “To know your place, who you belong to.” she explains, “Sometimes I think I might belong to Enzo.”

She stops talking and he can feel anguish twisting his guts, he wants to protest, tell her she’s wrong, she can’t belong to an asshole like Enzo, she is so much better then him, so much better than himself.

“Sometimes he reminds me of you,” she says, choking on an humorless laughter. What does that mean?

“I only know that he’s here with me and you are not,” she says, eyes fixed into his, “You would be here if you cared about me. But you are not and I won’t keep you anymore. So I need to say the words, because even if they won’t make any difference to you, they will to me.”

His hearing strains on its own, and his body is so tense that he’s ready to hear the tearing of the muscles at the first touch it will receive. He’s so hungry for her truth that his stomach closes like a fist, crumpling on nothing.

“I didn’t know,” she smiles, empty, “Or maybe I just convinced myself that I didn’t. But… you were my best friend. You were… everything. And when I lost you I lost myself.”

“I was stupidly, blindly in love with you, Damon” she confesses, out of breath, laughing as her falling tears draw dark dots on her pillow that smells of disinfectant.

I loved you too, something whispers in him, leaving him dazed and speechless. It’s like a earthquake, breaking down all the walls he’s put up to never let himself drift from Elena, and he can see it, the reason why all he saw and all he heard while hunger gnawed at him was nothing else but Bonnie. It screams into him now, the truth, paralyzing and scary, I love you too. Because she doesn’t love him anymore, she can’t, how could she still?

“And I went mad just to keep you here, just to believe you would come back for me.” she bites at her lower lip, through the tears, “But it all ends now.” she decides, a crumble of that strenght he knew appearing in front of him again.

“Goodbye, Damon,” she says, before rolling on her back and on the other side.

She pays no attention to his hand reaching out to her, never knows that he’s there. That he’s there because he cares about her, that he was never happy without her, that she is everything still.

And he can’t say that without breaking her heart for the second time. So he waits in a corner, makes no noice, watches her as she drifts into sleep before he lets himself get close.

Damon brushes the hair off her temple,  bends down so that he can smell her skin under the disinfectant and the medications and the salt of her tears.

“I’m sorry,” he says, fighting to keep his voice steady, to keep his breath from breaking, failing to do so, “I didn’t know… I was stupid. And I was blind. And I love you.”

“I’m sorry” he repeats, pressing his lips against the tender skin of her, “Don’t forgive me. Just go on,” he tells her, breaking his own heart “I love you.”

How far is the sky
Its you that I miss
Lets enjoy the bliss

You won’t see me anymore
Its time to repay & close doors

“She asleep yet?” Sam whispered to Dean.

His older brother twisted his head to look at you from his place in the passenger seat. You were lying on the back seat, fast asleep with all tension lost from your face- though some stray tear trails still marked and made Dean’s stomach clench.

Dean turned back and nodded. “Like a log, bless her,” he told him. “But I’m gonna have that guy’s guts on a wrench for this,” he warned, obviously referring to the boyfriend whom had just left you randomly for another girl, without so much as an explanation.

Nodding, Sam replied, “We’re calling Cas, as soon as we get her into bed, to find him.”

“You know he’ll want to tear this guy a new one as well,” the older Winchester chuckled. “But at least he’ll be able to tell us where he is before there’s nothing left of the guy.”

With a quirk of his eyebrows, Sam said menacingly, “Oh, there won’t be anything left of him by the time we’re finished with him.”

Orion sat at a table by a window, his coffee sitting in front of him. He had only taken a single sip of it, too anxious to drink more of it. He leaned back in his chair, passing the time by sketching. Art was something that always calmed his nerves, as he drew on his tablet. His mind was racing of possibilities for what June was going to tell him. Without realizing what he had drawn a memory came back to him as he looked at his drawing.

A sketched picture of a girl sleeping peacefully in a bed. A sheet covering her body as the rays of sun came in from the window. The light made the girl look like she was glowing. The picture was from the morning after with June. He had woken up before her in time to witness the beautiful scene in person. Rion was so lost in thought looking at the photo, he didn’t notice June entering the cafe.
