she looks like both her parents

BLACKPINK REACTION TO YOU WANTING THEM TO MEET YOUR PARENTS

Jisoo:

She would love that you were ready to let her meet your parents. But deep inside she would actually be worried that maybe they wouldn’t accept her and would think you shouldn’t be with her. She wouldn’t let you know how worried she was until after meeting them.

Jennie:

The only thing on her mind was what if they hate her, would you leave her. She didn’t care if they didn’t like her, she loves you and you love her, that was all that matter to her, but she would scared that you would leave her if they didn’t like her even if she knew you love her.

Rosé:

You would notice that when you both walk up to the front door of your parents house how she would lock up basically and never take her eyes off the ground. You would make her look at you. “Everything will be fine. I promise.” She would just nodded and give you a little peck on the cheek before knocking on the door. She would hope everything goes well for the rest of them time.

Lisa:

She would have the biggest smile on her face when you tell her that she was meeting your parents. The day it happened she basically ignored you to talk to your parents and learn things about you childhood and see baby photos of you that she took pictures of just to tease you later with.

“Everything I’ve done in my life, possibly the best thing was turning Oswald Cobblepot into… the Penguin.”

When I was nine, possibly ten, an author came to our school to talk about writing. His name was Hugh Scott, and I doubt he’s known outside of Scotland. And even then I haven’t seen him on many shelves in recent years in Scotland either. But he wrote wonderfully creepy children’s stories, where the supernatural was scary, but it was the mundane that was truly terrifying. At least to little ten year old me. It was Scooby Doo meets Paranormal Activity with a bonny braw Scottish-ness to it that I’d never experienced before.

I remember him as a gangling man with a wiry beard that made him look older than he probably was, and he carried a leather bag filled with paper. He had a pen too that was shaped like a carrot, and he used it to scribble down notes between answering our (frankly disinterested) questions. We had no idea who he was you see, no one had made an effort to introduce us to his books. We were simply told one morning, ‘class 1b, there is an author here to talk to you about writing’, and this you see was our introduction to creative writing. We’d surpassed finger painting and macaroni collages. It was time to attempt Words That Were Untrue.

You could tell from the look on Mrs M’s face she thought it was a waste of time. I remember her sitting off to one side marking papers while this tall man sat down on our ridiculously short chairs, and tried to talk to us about what it meant to tell a story. She wasn’t big on telling stories, Mrs M. She was also one of the teachers who used to take my books away from me because they were “too complicated” for me, despite the fact that I was reading them with both interest and ease. When dad found out he hit the roof. It’s the one and only time he ever showed up to the school when it wasn’t parents night or the school play. After that she just left me alone, but she made it clear to my parents that she resented the fact that a ten year old used words like ‘ubiquitous’ in their essays. Presumably because she had to look it up.

Anyway, Mr Scott, was doing his best to talk to us while Mrs M made scoffing noises from her corner every so often, and you could just tell he was deflating faster than a bouncy castle at a knife sharpening party, so when he asked if any of us had any further questions and no one put their hand up I felt awful. I knew this was not only insulting but also humiliating, even if we were only little children. So I did the only thing I could think of, put my hand up and said “Why do you write?”

I’d always read about characters blinking owlishly, but I’d never actually seen it before. But that’s what he did, peering down at me from behind his wire rim spectacles and dragging tired fingers through his curly beard. I don’t think he expected anyone to ask why he wrote stories. What he wrote about, and where he got his ideas from maybe, and certainly why he wrote about ghosts and other creepy things, but probably not why do you write. And I think he thought perhaps he could have got away with “because it’s fun, and learning is fun, right kids?!”, but part of me will always remember the way the world shifted ever so slightly as it does when something important is about to happen, and this tall streak of a man looked down at me, narrowed his eyes in an assessing manner and said, “Because people told me not to, and words are important.”

I nodded, very seriously in the way children do, and knew this to be a truth. In my limited experience at that point, I knew certain people (with a sidelong glance to Mrs M who was in turn looking at me as though she’d just known it’d be me that type of question) didn’t like fiction. At least certain types of fiction. I knew for instance that Mrs M liked to read Pride and Prejudice on her lunch break but only because it was sensible fiction, about people that could conceivably be real. The idea that one could not relate to a character simply because they had pointy ears or a jet pack had never occurred to me, and the fact that it’s now twenty years later and people are still arguing about the validity of genre fiction is beyond me, but right there in that little moment, I knew something important had just transpired, with my teacher glaring at me, and this man who told stories to live beginning to smile. After that the audience turned into a two person conversation, with gradually more and more of my classmates joining in because suddenly it was fun. Mrs M was pissed and this bedraggled looking man who might have been Santa after some serious dieting, was starting to enjoy himself. As it turned out we had all of his books in our tiny corner library, and in the words of my friend Andrew “hey there’s a giant spider fighting a ghost on this cover! neat!” and the presentation devolved into chaos as we all began reading different books at once and asking questions about each one. “Does she live?”— “What about the talking trees” —“is the ghost evil?” —“can I go to the bathroom, Miss?” —“Wow neat, more spiders!”

After that we were supposed to sit down, quietly (glare glare) and write a short story to show what we had learned from listening to Mr Scott. I wont pretend I wrote anything remotely good, I was ten and all I could come up with was a story about a magic carrot that made you see words in the dark, but Mr Scott seemed to like it. In fact he seemed to like all of them, probably because they were done with such vibrant enthusiasm in defiance of the people who didn’t want us to.

The following year, when I’d moved into Mrs H’s class—the kind of woman that didn’t take away books from children who loved to read and let them write nonsense in the back of their journals provided they got all their work done—a letter arrived to the school, carefully wedged between several copies of a book which was unheard of at the time, by a new author known as J.K. Rowling. Mrs H remarked that it was strange that an author would send copies of books that weren’t even his to a school, but I knew why he’d done it. I knew before Mrs H even read the letter.

Because words are important. Words are magical. They’re powerful. And that power ought to be shared. There’s no petty rivalry between story tellers, although there’s plenty who try to insinuate it. There’s plenty who try to say some words are more valuable than others, that somehow their meaning is more important because of when it was written and by whom. Those are the same people who laud Shakespeare from the heavens but refuse to acknowledge that the quote “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them“ is a dick joke.

And although Mr Scott seems to have faded from public literary consumption, I still think about him. I think about his stories, I think about how he recommended another author and sent copies of her books because he knew our school was a puritan shithole that fought against the Wrong Type of Wordes and would never buy them into the library otherwise. But mostly I think about how he looked at a ten year old like an equal and told her words and important, and people will try to keep you from writing them—so write them anyway.

anonymous asked:

Hey Hector. Sorry if this is a bother, but I'm new to the BMC fandom and just wanted to ask if there is anything I should know/keep in mind in case I start writing fics or creating fan art.

Hey Anon! It’s not a bother at all! Here are a few things you should know!! Welcome to the fandom!!

FANART

  • Christine is not white
  • Michael is not white
  • Lots of people like to draw Michael with a little mole above the left side of his mouth. This was started by @cryptidsp00n
  • Lots of people like to draw Rich with freckles, a tooth gap, and a red streak in his hair. None of these are canon in the musical, although Rich’s red streak is canon in the book. The freckles and tooth gap were started by @richardgoranski
  • these last two were honestly completely optional. its all up to you buddy!!
  • Lots of people like to draw Michael with a gay pride patch on the higher end of his left sleeve. This is essentially canon, and I would advise you most of all to not leave this out. George Salazar (the guy who played Michael) actually tweeted about it, which the fandom interprets to mean that it’s canon that Michael is gay. So honestly I’d advise against ignoring it, although it’s honestly cool if you leave it out m’dude. its your art. The gay pride patch was started by @gayradwhitedad
  • Don’t draw Jenna skinny!!! She’s played by Katie Ladner, who is not skinny!!
  • Michael’s patches can be done completely canon, as shown in that link. however, everyone seems to have their own patch headcanons for him. ((hmu if you wanna see how i draw his sweatshirt lmao))
  • A lot of things are left up to interpretation!! Is Jeremy taller than Michael?? not canonically, but I love short Michael! Does Jake have frosted tips? Not canonically, but I love frosted Jakey D!
  • As long as you respect skin tones and body types, whatever you want to make is cool!!! Experiment, be free!!

FANFICTION

  • Jeremy is Jewish!! Even if he celebrates Christmas, which some Jewish people do, just bear in mind that he is! not! christian!
  • Christine has ADD, but not ADHD!! she says she has ADD, which is related to ADHD, but not the same thing. ADD is Attention Deficit Disorder, which means she has a hard time focusing on one thing for an extended period of time. ADHD is Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, which means that someone has a hard time paying attention and/or sitting still for extended periods of time. yes, they’re similar, but not synonymous.
  • Rich is bi!!
  • The girls have just as complex personalities as the boys. please give as much care to developing them as you do to the guys.
  • Chloe did a lot of fucked up things. look out for that. font make her a sweet baby. she doesn’t deserve that.
  • Friendships are just as important as romantic relationships, and can be just as good and interesting!!
  • Jake’s parents are not around, they’re on the run from the law! he has to look after himself, my dudes.
  • the squip is horrible and abusive. it makes Jeremy feel like shit. it tells him that they need to change everything about him because its all awful. it is both emotionally and physically abusive. Both Jeremy and Rich probably suffer from ptsd
  • try to branch out!! as great as boyf riends, richjake, and pinkberry are, also look into things like Jeremy’s relationship with his father, Chloe’s redemption arc (bc she needs redeeming lmao) and even other ships, like deere and expensive headphones :00 while they may not be the main ships of the fandom, they’re all super cute and (i cant find a link rip) Joe Tracz actually said that Rich and Michael would go to prom together!!
  • Michael is comfortable in his own skin!! Ye, he has social anxiety. But he doesn’t hate himself!! One of the defining factors of his personality is that he’s okay with who he is!! There are all kinds of anxiety, and don’t write him as self-hating!! its totally out of character for him :0
  • have fun, dude. be careful, and do your research if you’re writing about tricky topics like eating disorders, abuse, and anxiety. But most of all, just enjoy yourself. as long as you’re respectful, there should be no issues!!

Feel free to shoot me an ask about any of this, or if you have any questions about if something’s cool to include in fanfic or not! I won’t tell you exactly what you can and cant write/draw, but I will try to nudge you in the right direction! Of course, only if you ask me to!! Anyone can message me about this stuff anytime, I love to help and suggest things!! I’m not scary I promise!!

In light of the events of the latest episode, which I’m choosing to ignore, I thought I’d make a list of a few random Clexa facts about their life after Lexa survives the bullet, which is canon of course. So…

  • Clarke loves watching Lexa interact with the Nightbloods. Whether she is training them or teaching them or just listening to them, Clarke loves this side of Lexa, supportive and encouraging and never patronizing or aggressive, not even during the toughest training sessions. She often finds herself wondering if Lexa acts like this with them because she never experienced this type of support and kindness during her upbringing.
  • Lexa could spend hours watching Clarke draw. Eyebrows creased in concentration, tip of her tongue between her teeth, blue eyes shining with a particularly bright spark, she is both the cutest and most fascinating creature Lexa has ever laid eyes on.
  • Lexa is a lightweight. As Heda, even during special occasions or celebrations, she’s been taught that she must always keep her head clear. She almost never indulges in drinking and has never developed a tolerance for it. So when on a freezing winter day Clarke steals a bottle of wine and decides she and Lexa are spending the day in their room, eating and drinking and just relaxing, she finds out that it doesn’t take long for the Commander to get drunk. All flushed cheeks and bubbly laughs and surprisingly inclined to cuddle, she’s never been more adorable. Okay, maybe only when she’s hungover and she’s trying to look like she isn’t.
  • Clarke can’t use a sword for the life of her. She’s just terrible with it. But her aim is good, and she finds she is pretty good with a bow and arrow. After some time spent perfecting her skills, Lexa tells her even Anya would be impressed.
  • Lexa trains hard and often to keep her body strong and her reflexes sharp. First time Clarke stops by to watch her train, she finds herself completely enthralled by it. The elegance and fluidity of Lexa’s movements, the toned muscles rippling under the skin… it’s safe to say Clarke discovers a new turn-on. From that day on, whenever Lexa comes back from training, Clarke jumps on her and ravages her.
  • Clarke loves tracing Lexa’s tattoos and scars (yes she has scars) and asks the story behind each of them. Some reveal funny stories of a stubborn young Lexa climbing on a far-too-high tree just to impress Costia, and miserably falling from it. “Her laugh was worth the pain, though.” Others reveal sorrow of a young girl forced to fight and kill the kids she’d grown up with and considered brothers and sisters. Lexa doesn’t cry when she talks about her Conclave. Clarke wonders if it’s because she already spilled all the tears she had for them years ago.
  • Costia is a different story. Even if not an open wound anymore, even if Clarke knows Lexa loves her, she also knows the pain over Costia’s death will always be a part of Lexa. But she doesn’t want that to obscure any other memory of someone that was so important to Lexa. So, Clarke asks her stories about Costia. She makes Lexa talk about her, what she was like, how they met, the way her laughter sounded. She does her best to cleanse Costia’s memory for Lexa, so she can think about her and remember something other than pain and sadness.
  • Lexa doesn’t remember her parents. When she describes her family, she talks about Anya and Gustus.
  • Clarke cries when she talks about her father. Lexa holds her.
  • They both have an obsession for each other’s hands. Clarke loves how lithe and elegant Lexa’s look: how strong they are when she is gripping a sword or handling a weapon, and how delicate and gentle when she is caressing Clarke’s body. Lexa is in awe of how skilled Clarke’s are: how they turn simple lines of charcoal on paper into masterpieces and how they’re capable of healing people and literally bring life. Oh, Lexa loves kissing them a lot.
  • Sometimes they have to separate. Clarke goes back to Arkadia for a while or Lexa has to visit other Clans. They crave each other the whole time. When they’re back together, sex is always a little more desperate and passionate than usual.
  • One time a group of rebel dissidents kidnaps Clarke on her way back to Polis to use her as leverage against Lexa. It takes less than three days for Lexa to find her and rescue her. Bloodied and bruised, but alive. Lexa rushes her back to Arkadia so that Abby can heal her. Clarke has never seen Lexa cry like the moment she wakes up, but she is not surprised. She knows this is Lexa’s worst nightmare, she knows she can’t bear to lose her like she lost Costia. She knows, because she felt the same when a bullet meant for her almost killed Lexa.
  • They sleep wrapped around each other. Clarke rests her head on Lexa’s chest, finding comfort in the steady sound of her heartbeat, and Lexa holds her close with an arm.
  • They’re happy.

blue orchids short story

pairing: jungkook | reader
genre: too much fluff.. too much cute
word count: 3.986
author’s note: surprise! \o/ I honestly have no idea how or why this happened. yesterday I just… started writing, and here we are, a few thousand words later. also, bear in mind that this is a sequel to blue orchids, so you need to read that one first if you want to understand this short piece. hope you all enjoy!

This story is set six years into the future within Blue Orchids’ universe.

The sun rays are melting on your skin. It has been a while since the skies opened up like this, leaving the sun bare to the living, its warmth a pleasant gift after days of storm and gloom. The sand under your legs and feet is, fortunately, not scorching — not yet, at least. The early morning is still warming up to the pristine sun, and the salty winds of the beach are still a strange mixture of the growing heatwave and the remnants of past iciness.

You cannot remember the last time you visited the beach, but it does not feel foreign or uncomfortable. It feels like you belong, mind at peace and body molding to the sand as your extended legs allow your toes to brush against the gentle waves that break and ebb away, water still too chilly to enjoy at its fullest.

So, I was watching Star Vs. The Forces Evil episode Into The Wand and something caught my attention. Lil’ Chauncey, Moon’s war pig-goat pet thing, was in Star’s memories. She remembers him.

She knows Chauncey died in battle but no specifics on which battle or when. Then we get to The Grandma Room and we see Moon’s tapestry and her poem which I sum it up as: Toffee dun goofed. Toffee is clearly terrified and there have been lots of theories as to why this happened. Most of which tend to be shippy or something else.

But look at Moon’s face. Look at that rage, that pure open hatred. What did he do? What could warrant such open hostility from someone we’ve seen as being so cool and reserved? Then is hit me: Star was alive when this event went down. Because Chauncey died in battle, shown here in this tapestry and Moon is clearly an adult and Star remembers Chauncey. Then I remembered how the royal guards used to babysit Star. Why? Where were the nannies? The caretakers? The royal nurses? They taught her how to fight, how to use a sword and weapons, how to kill an enemy with her bare hands before she ever hit puberty. Why would Queen Butterfly, Mrs. Prim and Proper, allow her only daughter to be cared for and basically raised by guards

Because she felt it was necessary to better protect her young daughter. I’m willing to bet this is Moon unleashing some serious mama bear rage against someone who threatened her very young child. Star was old enough to remember Lil’Chauncey, but perhaps not the attempt on her life or whatever it was Toffee was planning on doing to the royal family. Maybe it was a betrayal on his part since there are so many hints and theories revolving around the two.

(Just as a side note, I am very aware of the Moon/Toffee ship and while I do think it is kind of out there, I also kind of like it too. Unless it ends up being like the Luke/Leia thing like one new major theory proposes. In which case, NOPE.)

I also thought it was strange that Moon and River decided to send their daughter to Earth to better control her powers….without any other supervision except for Glossyrick who they and we all know probably isn’t the best person to be keeping a rein in on Star. It probably had something to do with keeping her from setting the whole kingdom ablaze in glitter and flaming rainbows, but I also feel there was something else to it. While there are no mentions of Toffee after Storm The Castle, Moon is clearly afraid.

I don’t know if we’re doing the right thing River.

Also, for all of Moon’s faults, she loves her daughter more than anything. Star’s safety is paramount to Moon and even the cleaving of her family’s ancestral wand is no where near as important to her as Star’s safety.

Oh, I’m always mad. But I’m happy that your safe.

I love this theory because it explains so much: why Moon acts distant but at the same time is a constant presence in her daughter’s life. Moon maybe trying to do what she can to protect her only child while also living up to the very high and difficult position of being a Queen of an entire…planet? Like, she’s trying her best to be a good parent and Queen even if she doesn’t go about it in a way that Star can respond to.

Also, don’t tell me we aren’t going to learn something new on Monday about Moon. Look at this image I found for Page Turner’s preview. She just looks so tired and so sad. This is a woman whose seen some shit, done some things she’s regretted and probably has a lot of dangerous enemies.

All to protect her only child. At least, that’s my theory until canon will most likely disprove it.

EDIT: OK, so…I am both awed by and grateful for all the likes and re-blogs this post has gotten so BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE! XD

Also, after watching the last few episodes of the season I feel like this sort of at least helps support my theory. There is no proof – yet – I hope – but give what we’ve seen it makes me happy. Moon clearly is worried about Star. She wants her training to progress farther and quicker, there is urgency in her voice and it’s clear that she’s scared. Also, all the magic in the universe is disappearing? Makes me wonder just WHAT that wand even is, or at least what makes it so special if Ludo having half of it means it has negative effects on a universal scale.

Also? Toffee’s picture comes up on the screen with the corn and everything? Like, Moon, pay the frick attention!

Another thing is that while Glossyrick claims to be doing his job to train Star to be a good Queen I still don’t feel…like he’s a good teacher. He plays the vague-advice thing way too much but then he kind of just lets Star do whatever she wants to anyway so…I don’t know if this is the most effective way to train Star since she is still just a young kid and has a hard-enough time paying attention. I don’t know if there is something to it but I don’t like how cavalier he is about things. The final few episodes’ kind of bugged me. Like, dude, this is her child’s future were talking about. She has every right to stick her nose in thank you very much.

But Moon’s fears and the lesson she learns in this episode tug at the heart strings. This woman has to accept that her young daughter is growing up fast, into a universe that is facing some serious peril and Star will undoubtedly have to fight soon enough. Moon is afraid, the fear is palpable and she wants to make certain that nothing can go wrong. She probably does have some suspicions of what’s causing it but she can’t be certain. Also, Eclipsa? Heck yeah is she going to be important given how frequently she’s been name dropped.

Things are getting serious in the universe of the show, Moon is afraid and she’s know that Star is going to end up in the middle of it. For a woman who already has so many huge responsibilities on her shoulders and yet she probably feels powerless to protect her only child.

           Gah! The feels!

Missed Kisses (Peter Parker)

Summary: Peter and Y/N have been friends since they were children and as kids, used to kiss one another on the cheek all the time until one day, Peter stopped. Y/N doesn’t realize it until one day looking through old photos with Aunt May.

Author: Dizzy

A/N: This is just a fluffy little fic I thought up. I hope you like it!

Masterlist Request Any Of These

“Aw, look at this one!” May sighed happily, showing you the photo of you and Peter at the age of three, with your little matching outfits.

“May, I don’t know why you want to get rid of this stuff, it brings back such good memories.” You said, looking through more photos.

“We don’t have enough room for it all and some of this stuff are just things I kept because I was too lazy to get rid of it.”

You picked up a photo of you and Peter and smiled. You both looked about five in the photo, Peter was on the ground, holding his knee and crying as you pressed a kiss to his cheek.

“I can’t believe you have a picture of this.” You thought aloud, holding the photo tightly.

May looked over your shoulder and smiled.

“I had to.” She explained, “You and Peter were just so cute when you were younger, kissing one another until you felt better. Like parents with their children.”

You gazed at her with a smile before looking at the next photo, this time it was you, at age eight, your bike on the ground and you on the ground. You noticed the large scrapes on your leg and Peter, his arms around you as he pressed a kiss to your head.

You could remember that day clearly, how Peter and his uncle had tried to teach you how to ride a bike and the way you toppled over and skid across the pavement.

The next photo you passed was that of you and Peter, both around thirteen, grinning as he had his arm draped over your shoulders because Aunt May had told him to, and in both your hands were blue ribbons.

You remembered that day clearly, how you and Peter slaved over your science fair project to win hands down. You remembered how when you kissed Peter’s cheek, just as you always did, he froze up and didn’t give you one in return.

That was the last time you had ever kissed Peter.

You hadn’t fully realized the lack of affection like that between you and Peter until now, at sixteen, looking through old photos with his aunt.

It was in the midst of your thinking that May announced that she would be going to the store as Peter walked into the room, taking a seat next to you on the couch as he picked up a few photos.

Your gaze fell from the photos in your hands to Peter’s face as you studied every bit of it, your lip between your teeth as you wondered if it would be too weird to ask for a kiss.

“Peter?” You said his name softly, your courage thin.

He looked up at you, his chocolate brown eyes gazing into yours as you feared that he knew what you were going to ask him.

“What’s up, bug?” His nickname for you rolled off his tongue, making you want to let your request go.

“Can I have a kiss?” The question fell from your mouth before you could second guess yourself.

“What? Why?”

“I don’t know.” You said with a shrug, feeling embarrassed for asking. “I just miss the times you used to do it. You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to.”

“No, no. It’s okay, bug. I’ll do it if you want me to.” Peter stammered, not sure if he wanted to do it, but he’d do anything for you, he knew that.

Peter pulled you close and pressed a kiss to your forehead before pulling away, hiding his face so you couldn’t see the red on his face.

But, you didn’t notice because you too, were hiding your face from sight as you tried to shake off the shock of what you felt in Peter’s kiss.

Two weeks later, you sat on Peter’s bed, a bag of peas on your eye as Peter walked into the room and took a seat beside you.

You had gotten in a fight to stand up for Peter, a fight you had won, but that didn’t mean you were always going to walk out scratch free.

“You didn’t have to do that, bug.” Peter explained. “I can fight my own fights.”

“Peter, you can’t handle your powers very well yet and who knows what would’ve happened?” You explained with a wince. “You could’ve webbed someone or something. Plus, I just have a black eye, nothing time can’t heal.”

Peter smiled at you and brushed the hair from your face for you as you moved the bag on your eye.

“Still. Let me handle the fights.”

You bit your lip, feeling greedy as you opened your mouth. “Can I get a kiss?”

Peter moved close and pressed a kiss to your cheek, just under the bag as his eyes fluttered closed. He was starting to feel silly for giving you kisses and never asking for one in return when he wanted them too.

A few months passed after your scuffle, your eye had healed and Peter figured out how to control his powers.

But, that didn’t mean he didn’t come to you to get patched up or just to kiss you.

It didn’t occur to you that some of those kisses he’d give you in the dead of night after you patched him up were not requested by you until one night at three in the morning, you sat on your bed, Peter in between your legs as you patched up the cuts on his back.

Peter had never asked you for a kiss, not one on the cheek or on the lips, though he desperately wanted to. He was much shier than you were about being affectionate.

But, as you placed the last bandage on Peter’s shoulder, you heard his soft voice.

“Can I have a kiss, bug?”

You smiled a smile unseen by Peter and pressed a kiss to his shoulder right above where you had bandaged it before he rose from his spot on the bed and got his suit back on, his back to you.

He turned around and faced you, his suit now on and held his mask in his hands as he walked toward you and bent over, pressing a kiss to your cheek before he climbed out the window and disappeared into the night.

It was then that you realized that you hadn’t asked for that kiss.

A few weeks had passed and you forgot about the kisses you shared that night.

But, when Peter had come home, with bruises and cuts worse than you’d ever seen on him, after Civil War, the request for kisses seemed less silly than you would have originally thought.

Between bandages, the request would fall from Peter’s mouth and at times. Without your asking, Peter would take your hand in his or your face and press a kiss upon it like a silent thank you.

It wasn’t until the final bandages were applied that you sat beside Peter and gained some courage.

You placed a steady hand onto his face and leaned in close before you felt Peter’s breath hitch and his lips brushed yours. Your eyes fluttered closed along with his as your lips connected in a passionate kiss.

His hands found their way to your hips and pulled you onto his lap as you pressed a final kiss to his cheek. His smile after you looked into his eyes had melted you more than you ever thought it could as you whispered softly to him.

“Can I have a kiss?”

Jack Maynard Imagine - Parents know best

You opened your eyes, taking a few minutes to let them adjust to the sunlight. Lately, falling asleep while on car rides had become a common thing for you. You looked right to see Jack with his eyes fixed on the road, oblivious to the fact that you had woken up.

You yawned and rubbed your eyes before feeling a hand on your leg “Slept well?” he asked, as he looked briefly at you before giving you a small smile.

“Not bad” you said, looking at the GPS and seeing that you were twenty minutes away from Brighton.

Your best friend Jack had convinced - dragged - you to go to Brighton with him for the weekend. All your other close friends in London were back in their hometowns visiting their families, so you had nothing better to do. You weren’t in the mood to spend a whole weekend at home by yourself, anyway.

You had met Jack’s sister, Anna, before. A few months ago, she had stayed at Jack and Conor’s new apartment for the weekend, and the two of you immediately clicked. She reminded you so much of Jack, it was unreal. His parents, however, were a mystery to you. Conor couldn’t go with you, so at least you hoped Anna wasn’t away at a friend’s house or something: spending the weekend with Jack and his parents would just be too awkward.

But you thought you didn’t have reasons to be nervous about it. You weren’t Jack’s girlfriend, and you didn’t need to pass any kind of test to get his parents’ approval. Yet, it seemed to you as if you were slowly driving to death.

“Is Anna at home?” you eventually asked Jack, who was taking a sip of his fizzy drink.

“Yeah, I believe so” he answered “Why’d you ask?”

You shrugged “Just wanted to see her” you said, which wasn’t exactly a total lie. At least you knew there would be five of you.

Eventually, you pulled into Jack’s parents’ driveway, and you took a long while to admire the outside of his house. It reminded you so much of your own, you kind of wished your parents hadn’t booked that last-minute trip to Spain so you could visit them instead. However, when a young girl exited the house and walked towards your car, a bright smile on her face, your homesickness went away rather quickly.

“Y/N!” she called you as you opened the door to give her a hug. She wrapped her arms around your torso as you rested your chin on her head, a sudden smell of freshly washed hair hitting your nose.

“How are you, girl?” you asked her, mimicking the contagious smile on her face.

“I have so many things to tell you” she said excitedly, and you gave her that look girls gave each other when a juicy topic was about to come up. She nodded, as if she had read your mind, and you laughed.

“Hello Jack, my beloved and ridiculously hot brother, it’s nice to see you too” Jack said, imitating Anna’s voice, as he walked towards you with two bags on his hands.

Anna laughed and went to give her brother a hug “I’ve missed you as well, dickhead” the girl said. Jack rolled his eyes, but kissed the top of her head afterwards. You took your bag from his hands and walked into the Maynard household.

His parents turned out to be more than delighted with your presence. They confessed having watched your YouTube videos, and having burst out laughing more than once. The feeling of awkwardness you thought you’d have earlier, vanished as soon as they both pulled you into a hug.

Jack turned out to be the embarrassed one. As soon as you went upstairs to Anna’s bedroom for a quick catch-up, both of his parents had gone up to him, a suspicious smile on their faces.

“What?” Jack chuckled as he looked up at them from the sofa, his cat purring as he stroked her side.

“We really like Y/N” his mum said, taking a seat next to him. He already knew something was up. He gave them a look “I mean, we already liked her when we saw her on your videos, but she’s even nicer in person”

“Yeah…” Jack said, suspiciously. He let out another nervous laugh “Where are you going with his?” The silly smile on his face couldn’t go away. Whenever someone talked about you, his features immediately softened, and his lips curved up in a not so subtle smile.

“We are just saying” his dad spoke, his hands inside his pockets. Jack could tell he was nervous, because Conor did the exact same thing when something was on his mind “That she’s a really good influence for you. She seems sweet and down-to-eart, that’s all”

The cat jumped off the sofa, making Jack cross his arms “I’m…I’m glad you like her” Jack felt uncomfortable. Although you weren’t his girlfriend, you were the first girl Jack had ever brought home, friends and all. His parents were rather surprised when they saw you two got along so well, remaining just friends up to that day. Because for them, it was so obvious that their little boy had more than friendly feelings towards you, and they were surprised he hadn’t made a move yet.

“We do” his mum said, nodding happily “So, does she have a boyfriend or something?” she asked, trying to sound cool and casual, but she failed.

“Mum, I know where you’re going” Jack said, not being able to supress a laugh “Just drop it”

She gave her husband a knowing look. He nodded “Jack” he said “It’s fine if you like her, buddy. Your mum and I started off as good friends as well, it’s okay to admit it”

Jack’s heart skipped a beat, and he stood up abruptly “I’m going for a walk” he said, ready to leave, when his dad grabbed his arm “Buddy” his voice was friendly, yet firm. Jack stopped on his tracks.

He didn’t want to talk about it with his parents. Y/N was the first girl he had ever fallen for, and he was scared. He was sure that if he kept telling himself that he didn’t lilke her like that, his feelings would go away. But love didn’t work like that.

He turned his head to look at his parents, and after a long silence, he spoke again “I’m afraid I’d hurt her if I tell her” it came out as rather a whisper, but  his parents heard him perfectly.

His mum immediately pulled him into a hug, rubbing his back “Don’t be silly, Jack, please” she said, feeling the sadness on her son’s voice “Don’t you see how happy you make her?”

“I make her happy as a friend” Jack kept his voice low in case Anna and you decided to come downstairs “I’ve never had a girlfriend, I’m not good with feelings, I-”

“But there must be a reason why you like this girl so much, more than any other” his dad interrupted him.

At that moment, Jack didn’t stop to think. He poured his feelings right there, in front of his parents, in a way he thought he’d never be able to do “I love how she’s so laid-back and crazy, yet she knows when to be serious” he blurted out “She’s also really funny, there has not been a day she hasn’t made me laugh. She’s sensible, and she takes care of me when I’m sick, which happens like, every day” he chuckled. His eyes were fixed on the floor “I don’t know, I just think I don’t deserve her, like, I’d just break her heart because I’m a fucking idiot”

“You don’t sound like an idiot when you talk about her” his mum said, grabbing his hand “Jack, the fact that you’ve never cared about a girl enough to stick with her doesn’t mean you’ll never be able to do it”

“In fact, you’ve done it already” his father added.

“Do you really think you’d hurt her?” his mum asked him “Because Conor told me not long ago that you almost got into a fist fight with a random guy at a club because he was all over her”

Jack frowned “He told you?”

“It doesn’t matter, baby” his mum said, shaking her head “What matters is you look after her, and that’s no behaviour for someone who’d only hurt her if he’s with her”

Jack stayed silent for a moment, then nodded his head. His eyes were fixed on the floor again, too embarrassed by the topic to look at his parents “I like taking care of her” he said, almost whispering “And I’ve never felt that before for anyone”

His dad went up to him and clapped his back. There was no denying Jack was growing up, and his parents were glad it was because of such a lovely, kind-hearted girl “Why don’t you take her out for dinner tonight?” he suggested.

Suddenly, Anna and you irrumpted into the room, stopping abruptly at the sight of Jack with his parents “Did we interrupt something?” Anna asked, as she wasn’t used to see her brother looking so puppy-like. Soft eyes were uncommon for Jack, or so she thought.

“No, it’s fine, sweetheart” her mum said, smiling brightly at both of you “We were just catching up”

“We were as well” Anna said, turning her head to look at you. She winked “I was just about to ask Y/N when she was marrying Jack” she joked, making you blush.

“Anna, don’t be rude” her dad said, but he couldn’t deny he was amused by the situation.

“It’s not like we were gonna invite you anyway” Jack spoke, putting an arm casually around your shoulders. He was back to his own sassy self again. Anna stuck her tongue at her brother before following her parents’ track to the kitchen area.

You then felt Jack’s lips pressed against the side of your head, a huge comfort speading inside your body. You loved when he did that “Wanna go out for dinner tonight?” he asked you, catching you off-guard “Just you and me”

You looked up at him, a small smile forming on your lips “Sounds great”

Anna entered the living room again, coughing as she walked past you “Wedding” she said after fakingly clearing her voice. Jack extended an arm to push her, and she ran away, laughing uncontrollably.

“You’re not allowed to be the godmother to our children either”

“And they’ll be bloody gorgeous” you added, making Jack push you  playfully as well.

“They’ll just be weird if you’re their mum” Jack joked.

“You’ll love them anyways” you teased back.

“I love anything that has to do with you” he said, pulling you in for a hug.

“You’re stupid” you said, your head resting on his pounding chest.

“Shut up, Mrs. Maynard”

“What makes you think I’m taking your last name?”

“You love me way too much?” you hit him again. He grabbed your hands and put them around his neck. He planted a soft kiss on the tip of your nose

You smiled softly, still not used to all the things that boy made you feel “Maybe I do”

www(.)reddit(.)com/r/Outlander/comments/5xygf7/no_spoilers_mom_is_a_huge_outlander_fan_i/ ! This story made me cry. Maybe we could give this woman a shout out and pray for her. She's battling a stage 4 breast cancer. Her son brought her to ECCC to met Sam and Cait before heading to hospice care. He said they're the best people he has ever met. "She started crying when we wheeled her in. Which made my dad cry. Seeing both parents crying made me cry. Then the whole photo crew were crying." ♥

Oh gosh, now I’m crying!! Cait looks like she’s about to burst into tears. What an amazing son to do that for his Mom! I’m so glad they could give her some happiness during such a rough time. I’ll be praying for her and her family ❤️❤️❤️

Full story here.

If Romeo and Juliet had taken it slow nothing at all would have changed. Juliet is aware that they are being too hasty (“Although I enjoy in thee, / I have no joy of this contract tonight. / It is too rash, to unadvised, too sudden. / Too like the lightning which doth cease to be / Ere one can say “it lightens!”) And yet she pops the question only a few lines later, and thank god she did.

If she had actually left Romeo “unsatisfied” in the balcony scene—if she had decided that they should wait before considering marriage, it wouldn’t have changed the fact that Tybalt would have looked for Romeo the next day. Romeo would have been banished anyway, because the tragedy isn’t caused by Romeo and Juliet’s precipitate love: it is caused by the violence, the hatred, and the prejudice of the feud.

A slower development of their relationship wouldn’t have saved Romeo from banishment. And a slower development of their relationship wouldn’t have changed the fact that Capulet sold Juliet to Paris. She would have had to marry him anyway. The only difference would have been that if she weren’t married to Romeo, but still in love with him, I doubt that Friar Laurence would have agreed to help her escape. Why bother breaking the rules, hurting Juliet’s parents by faking her death, just because Juliet didn’t feel like doing her duty? She would have had only two options left: either unwanted marriage or death. Looking at her words right after meeting Romeo, she seems determined to choose a husband on her own, or otherwise she will have none of it. (“If he be married, my grave is like to be my wedding bed.”)

And if they just hadn’t fallen in love at all, I believe it would have been the same: Romeo would have been banished and, without Juliet’s help, I doubt he would have survived long. He’s just not good at coping with pain and oppression—he needs affection. He needs people to take care of him. I think he would have ended up killing himself anyway, because he is terrified by the concept of isolation. (Or perhaps if he had never even attended Capulet’s party, he wouldn’t have had to fight Tybalt the day after. Perhaps he could have survived for a while—but how long? Look at Benvolio. He ended up unwillingly fighting Tybalt in the first scene. How long would it have taken for Romeo to take part in a fight? I think the point of the play is that they just can’t elude the feud, no matter how hard they try: it drags everyone down sooner or later.)

And if they hadn’t fallen in love at all, Juliet would have never become the powerful, intelligent, lively girl we know. She would have been this docile daughter who allows her parents to command her life: “I’ll look to like, if looking liking move, / But no more deep will I endart mine eye / Than your consent gives strength to make it fly.” Now compare those lines with the way she speaks in the balcony scene. (“Bondage is hoarse, and may not speak aloud, / Else would I tear the cave where Echo lies / And make her airy tongue more hoarse than mine / With repetition of ‘my Romeo!’”, “My bounty is as boundless as the sea, / My love as deep; the more I give to thee / The more I have, for both are infinite.”) She feels limitless. She feels free. But looking at Paris’ attitude in the friar’s cell, I think she would have been very miserable had she ended up marrying him. He just couldn’t care less about her feelings and opinions.

Yes, Romeo and Juliet behaved hastily, and I’m glad they did, because at least they could be happy and free for just a few days before the despotism of their society devoured them.

The Tenth Floor pt7

Min Yoongi had gone through 34 secretaries in the past 24 months, and each one of them left in tears. This fact alone should have warned you against taking the job, but the pay was too good to pass up. Surely you could put up with a billionaires temper-tantrums, right?

Yoongi x Reader & Taehyung x Reader

Genre: Fluff, humor, probably some angst

Warnings: Strong language at times, maybe some slight smut eventually

Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,

“Wait, right now?” You asked, trialing after Yoongi out of his office. He wound his scarf around his neck as he walked, and you grabbed your jacket from the back of your chair. You had picked the wrong day to wear a pencil skirt, you realized; as soon as the sun went down, you were going to freeze.

“No better time than the present.” Yoongi replied.

Seokjin was walking the other way when he saw the two of you, and caught your elbow gently. “Where are you going?” He asked, looking from you, to Yoongi, and back to you again.

“To the carnival, I think.” You said. Seokjin looked even more confused at this, but didn’t have time to press you for questions.

“Hurry up.” Yoongi snapped, standing in the elevator impatiently. “We don’t have all day.”

You left Seokjin standing there to join your boss, and as the doors closed, you realized just how strange all this was.

“What happened to those reports you said you needed to review?” You asked, your voice echoing slightly in the small space.

“They can wait.” Yoongi shrugged.

“But didn’t you tell Taehyung they were important?” You asked.

“I lied.” Yoongi gave you a rare smile. “We’re taking my car, by the way.”

You weren’t sure if you should be offended by this or not, but you weren’t about to argue; your car might have gotten you to work, but that didn’t mean it would get you and Yoongi to and from the other side of town.

“Yoongi?” You said carefully. “You know the carnival is open on the weekend, right? Why do you want to go today?”

Yoongi shrugged. “Why? You don’t want to go? You’re getting paid either way, if that’s what you’re concerned about.”

You frowned. Yoongi was definitely acting weird, and you suspected that, given his noncommittal answer, he didn’t know why he was going, either. But you supposed it didn’t really matter; if your crazy boss wanted a day out, you didn’t see the harm in it. As long as he wasn’t yelling, you could follow him around the carnival until he figured it out.

To say Yoongi’s car was nice when you saw it would be an understatement. The hard-top convertible Audi looked as though it had just been driven off the car lot, and while the brand suited Yoongi, the baby-blue color didn’t quite.

It made your car look like a piece of crap, and you made a face as you slid into your seat.

“You don’t like it?” Yoongi raised an eyebrow as he started the car.

“No, it’s… Very nice.” You settled.

“I know.” Yoongi said. “So why do you look so uncomfortable?”

“I’m not.” You lied. How were you supposed to explain that sitting in such a fancy-ass car made your second-hand skirt feel shabby, or that you were terrified you were going to break something because you couldn’t afford to fix it. “I always look like this.”

Yoongi didn’t respond to that, and drove in silence for a while. There was something about sitting in the car, someone else driving and paying attention to the road, that reminded you of Taehyung. You thought you might have preferred his slightly beaten up taxi over this.

But Taehyung-the-taxi-driver wasn’t just a taxi driver, and you were sure you’d never call him again, so you tried to keep your mind off of him. You were working (kind of), and needed to focus on the job at hand.

“Yoongi, why am I here?” You asked after a while, when you knew you were getting close to the fairground.

“On earth, or in my car?” He asked, sounding slightly distracted by the traffic.

“Why did you want me to come along?” You clarified, though you were curious what he would say if you asked him what your purpose in the universe was. That would have to wait for another day.

“You’ve been there before, right?” He didn’t wait for you to answer. “I want to know what normal people do for fun, so you’re going to be like my tour guide.”

“Am I the only ‘normal’ person you know?” You didn’t think you wanted to know the answer, but you asked anyway.

Yoongi thought about it a moment. “Yes.”

A chance to say goodbye - Bruce Wayne x Reader

Summary : You’re a meta-human able to see ghosts, summon them etc etc…and you decide to give your Bruce a birthday gift he’ll never forget.

I had this story in my head for quite a while now, not sure how to feel about it though. I don’t know, you guys know me, I’m like : “meh” as usual…Anyway, don’t hesitate to tell me what you think please, wether you liked or not :-) …Hope you’ll like it though  :

(My masterlist blog here : https://ella-ravenwood-archives.tumblr.com)

_______________________________________________________________________

When Bruce was looking all around the World for meta-human, he found you in a small village in France’s country side, and…you intrigued him right away.

You were sitting on a bench in a small cemetery, lost in daydreams.

He felt irreversibly attracted to you. The way you seemed lost in your thoughts, the glint in your eyes as you looked at nothing in particular, your poise, even the way you breathed subjugated him, for reasons he couldn’t quite pinpoint…When you turned your head to him, feeling his presence, and your eyes locked on each other, the beating of his heart became ecstatic, uncontrollable…He had to talk to you.

Against all of his usual instinct, he approached you and sat down next to you. And the conversation just flew naturally. It was something he never experienced before. You were a total stranger, and yet, he felt like he knew you since forever.

(Y/N). That was your name. It rolled on his tongue delightfully. In the span of a few hours, you just talked about anything and everything. It was just too amazing, and for a minute, he thought maybe you were a meta-human whose powers was to control one’s emotions, because he never talked like that to anyone, including his close friends, so to a total stranger…

Turned out, your powers weren’t to control someone’s feelings, not at all. Your powers were…scarier, and you hated using them. You had a special bond with Death…You could summon zombie warriors from the ground and control them, you were able to see if someone’s life was going to end soon, and was plagued by visions of ghosts of people that still had important business to finish on Earth. You hated your powers.

Angsty Conspiracies

WARNING - Most of these are vv sad.

- What if Sodapop is obsessed with cars because of his parents? They died in a car accident, and he feels like he can prevent that from happening to anyone else by fixing them.
- What if Steve doesn’t like Ponyboy because he reminds him too much of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis? Hinton writes that Mrs Curtis took Dally under her wing because he was reckless. What if she did the same with Steve because they both didn’t have mothers to point them in the right direction and she knew that? But when they died he was angry, and Ponyboy acted too much like his mother. However he was already too close to Sodapop to do the same
(Bonus!! - Imagine a hidden box in the closet of the master bedroom full of photos of the boys, including photos of Steve and Ponyboy.)
- What if Darry couldn’t look in the mirror for months after his parents’ deaths because he looks too much like this father, to the point that he would sometimes think it was actually his father in the mirror before he made eye contact with his reflection?
- What if Ponyboy was so angry with Darry all the time because he never got to bond with his father and that’s how Mr. Curtis acted?
- What if Mrs. Curtis took care of the reckless greasers because they clearly didn’t have functional parents and she wanted to give them that?
- What if that’s how Dally came into the gang? He was found by Mrs. Curtis. His dad had kicked him out during yet another drunken stupor. She found him curled underneath a flickering streetlight, cold and drenched from the rain. He was bruised because his father had hit him and he had a sprained ankle from falling down the porch steps. So Mrs. Curtis took him home, tended to his injuries, gave him new clothes, fed him, etc. But most of all she made him feel what it was like to have a mother again.
- What if before he got jumped, Johnny was happy and was also reckless, he would smile freely and show every emotion on his face, but afterwards he felt like he couldn’t show his emotions clearly because it made him vulnerable, and he would hear certain noises that reminded him of the sharp rings and how he was beaten within an inch of his life, which would nearly send him into a panic attack?
- Imagine Johnny having memories of his parents before they were abusive. Of them being real parents. Dinner at the dining table, Mr. Cade pushing him on a swing at the park.
- What if Mr. Cade became abusive first, after becoming an alcoholic due to unknown issues such as possibly losing his job? But Mrs. Cade and Mrs. Curtis were friends, and Mrs. Cade snapped because of marital problems and the accident?
- Imagine that before his mom died, Dally and his father were really close, and as a kid, after his mom died, he didn’t understand why his father would drink and beat him until one day, while it was happening, he broke and asked him, and all his father said was, “You look like your mother. I hate it.”
- Imagine Dallas having older siblings in New York, and he was staying with them because of his father, but he had to go back because they couldn’t afford to take care of him.
- Imagine Dallas having younger siblings, too, who couldn’t escape their dad and him feeling incredibly guilty because he had to leave them behind for his own sake
- What if Two-Bit never cleans because his father did quite frequently and he didn’t want to take over the position of his father and accept that he’s gone?
- What if Two-Bit’s father used to also drink, and was like Steve and Dallas’ fathers, and it terrifies Two-Bit that he might be becoming like him? But the stress makes him want to drink more, creating a vicious vortex.
- What if Steve became angry after the accident, which caused him to lose patience with his alcoholic father in which led to more frequent fights?
- What if Dally’s father regrets everything, and wants nothing more than to apologise, but he knows that he can’t because Dally wouldn’t trust him enough to believe him after everything he’s done?
- What if Tim never wanted to be a gang leader but he does it to scare people away from messing with Curly and Angela?
- What if (after the book) Darry blames himself for everything and thinks it’s his fault because Pony only ran away after Darry hit him, but he never tells anyone that he feels it’s his fault because he thinks that the others already blame him?
- What if Darry doesn’t want to be so strict with Ponyboy but he feels he needs to act like his father to make everything feel normal?
- What if Dally had planned his suicide years earlier, and that he was always suicidal and depressed, but the only thing that was keeping him from actually killing himself was Johnny, and that Johnny was his anchor and his whole reason for sticking around?
