she disappeared in summer

This is Gizmo. Gizmo went into the garage when my dad was putting his car back and got locked in. We checked and heard meows, figured she was hiding in the roof on the rafters where there’s loads of junk. Eventually, my dad moves the car out to get a ladder up. No cat.

She was in the engine of the car! My dad moved the car, engine running and everything and she was in the enGINE!!! 😱

She’s okay, slightly freaked out and covered in dirt and grease, but she’s not hurt or anything. I’ve heard horror stories about cats in engines 😰

Cats… 😫🐈

Spring

In Spring she became a musician.

The harsh crash of the ride cymbal filled the music hallways. Early morning rehearsals were no stranger to any of the musicians that Riverdale High’s halls, however this particular persons practicing was making it difficult for Jughead to sleep.

He made his way down the hallway until he stopped at the doorway of the practice room.

Inside sat a teenage girl with braided hair that reached her shoulders, earplugs in her ears as she studied the sheet music in front of her. The continuous tapping of the high hat and snare drum filled the room as she began the song again with even more enthusiasm as before.

Jughead stood, watching through the small window in the door and wondered how one girl could change so much and yet still seem like the exact same person they were a season ago.

A reverberating crash sounded as Y/N finished her piece and sat, chest heaving, over the drum kit. She silently gathered up her sticks and music and placed them all into her rugged canvas backpack before making her way towards the door.

Jughead hurriedly stepped away from the door and pretended to be engrossed heavily in the schools noticeboard.

“Morning Jughead!” Y/N shouted.

The raven haired boy was taken aback by the sheer loudness of her voice and turned around startled.

She stood before him, large jumper thrown of some rugged black jeans and her trusty backpack thrown over a shoulder. He gestured towards his ears and mimed taking plugs out. Realization dawned as her face as she nodded and took out her earplugs.

“Thanks heaps” she murmured bashfully.

“It’s uh no problem.” He said whilst running his hand through his beanie less hair.

“I think Archie was practicing later this morning, if you’re waiting for him” she stated.

“Oh okay thanks.”

The pair stood awkwardly before each other until Y/N waved goodbye and headed towards the music storeroom. Jughead stood in the hallway watching her until she turned into the storeroom and disappeared.

Summer

In the summer she became a painter.

Her long tanned limbs were splayed against the short grass on the school oval as she sat with her sketchbook against her knee. She sat alone in the middle of the oval with her bag and materials spread out around her.

The long strands of Y/H/C had been hastily pulled into a messy bun as inspiration had struck her.

Watercolor paints surrounded her as she became a human canvas, mixing colors on her hand in hopes of finding the perfect shade.

Jughead stared at her from across the oval, his eyes transfixed by her every movement and brushstroke she made. He remained oblivious to his friends watching him but remained enthralled by the Y/C/E girl’s beauty.

She leant back and stretched her long arms above her head, the long white paint stained dress she wore rode up her legs exposing her tanned and toned thighs evidence of her previous cheerleading hobby.

The harsh shrill of the bell awakened Jughead from his gazing whilst also startling Y/N, she hurriedly shoved pencils and palettes into her bag and carefully picked up her sketchbook whilst she made her way back into the school.  With her hair bouncing with her every step, she nimbly slid past the eager freshmen that were heading outside to enjoy the sunshine.

Autumn

It was autumn when she decided to be a photographer.

Being a writer for the Blue and Gold meant having an all access pass to not only the English department’s resources but also the Art rooms.

Usually the students were willing to give Jughead and Betty a hand with whatever the needed but there were a few students that couldn’t be swayed with the bribery of extra credit; mainly Y/N the best female photographer Riverdale High has.

Her photos were often featured in the local newspaper and had even won awards; she could turn the simplest object into a masterpiece with the change of an angle.

She was talented no doubt about it but her services were hard to acquire.

Jughead stood in the dark room collecting his photos for the newest edition for the Blue and Gold.

Placing them on the table outside the room he winced, half of the shots were blurry and the rest had fingers and other miscellaneous objects blocking the focus of the photo itself- Riverdale Highs Vixens.

Shaking his head he frowned as his worst fear had come true.  Every photo he had taken was completely unusable.

The door slamming from behind him broke him out of his musings as Y/N walked in, headphones blasting out   and a folder of photos under her arms.

She haphazardly dropped the folder into the table next to his and craned her neck to look at him.

“What you got there pretty boy?” She inquired.

“The reason Betty may finally kill me.” He shot back miserably.

Y/N let out a chuckle before heading towards his table to inspect his photos for herself.

“Rookie mistakes.” she muttered, as she walked back towards her bench.

Silently she sifted through her photos until she found her collection of photos of the Vixens and passed them to him.

“Use them, I just want credit.” she stated and turned back to the exit.

“Thanks heaps.” he mumbled.

Y/N turned around with a smile and waved goodbye as she headed into the dark room with her folder.

Winter

In winter she dabbled in writing.

The scents of Pops diner greeted Jughead as he headed towards his usual booth only to find Y/N already sitting in it.

Dressed in an oversize coat and jeans, she was thoroughly prepared for the harsh winter weather.

Next to her sat a worn looking journal that was breaking at the binding. Her face light up with joy as she spotted him from across the diner.

“Finally, Riverdale’s finest writer returns to the source of his inspiration.”

Jughead smiles at the statement as eh slides into the seat across from her.

“Mind taking a look at some of my work?” She shyly asks.

He nods his head and takes the journal, flicking through it he nods his head at certain parts until he finishes the book.

“Well you can definitely add writer to your ever growing of talents.” He teases.

Y/N throws her head back with laughter and a few strands of her Y/H/C hair falls out of her bun.

“I’m not even close to being half as good as you at writing, it’s your thing.”

“Oh yeah, just like every other damn thing is your thing.”

“I’ll admit that I do have a lot of hobbies but I enjoy them.”

She leans forward and puts her elbows on the table staring into Jughead eyes.

“Have you enjoyed watching me this year? “She inquires softly.

His face turns a deep crimson color as he avoids her gaze. Slowly but steadily he raises his eyes towards hers and finds that her Y/C/E are staring at him waiting expectantly for an answer.

“I always thought the changing seasons where beautiful but then I saw you and nothing could compare”.

weathergirl1  asked:

Have you thought of Raven blowing up at Summer and then giving her a million kisses to stop her from crying

I honestly think that Raven will only blow up on Summer during hunts. Any other time….

Summer: Num, num, num, num, num, num, num, num, num. *Summer loudly munching snacks in her bed, Right above Raven as she works on her dust sheath.*

Raven: … *Raven worked as she crumbs begin to shower over her dust blade.* … *Raven dusted the crumbs away only for more to fall.* Mrrr… *Annoyed Raven dusted the crumbs once more and moved her sheath over away from Summer. Unfortunately, Summer rolled over on the bed and right above Raven once again.* Dgrrr! Summer! *Raven growled loudly as she whipped her head around to glare at Summer. However, The glare quickly disappeared as she was met with Summer’s surprised and worried puppy dog eyes.*

Summer: Y-Y-Yes R-Raven? *Summer stuttered in fear of being yelled at.

Raven: …

Summer: … Uh… Is something wr-WHAH!? *Summer began to inquired before Raven yanked her off the bed and began to smother her with kisses.* Ahhahahahahahaha! Raven! That tickles! Hehehehe!

Raven: You are to damn cute. *Raven said as she continued to kiss Summer all over.*

happiness comes back to you like the friend that moved away but visits every summer. she wants to be a surprise, never fully announcing her arrival. she will creep up on you a crisp night when you are wide awake in bed but the world around you is asleep. you never want her departure, her presence is like a drug that fuels your entire body and gives you a reason to take another breath. yes, she may disappear when you are broken. but summer comes around every year, doesn’t it?

So I was thinking about how Qrow obviously isn’t telling Ruby everything about her powers, and that there could be more behind it than just the obvious come on this is Ruby she’s going to try and save the world with her magic powers.

In volume 2, when Yang is telling Blake about her mother, she mentions that she doesn’t find out about Raven until after Summer’s death. She says something about her father shutting down and that she soon learned Summer wasn’t the first love he had lost.

I’m going to assume it wasn’t Taiyang who told her that, which leaves Qrow. Think about it, baby Yang asking Qrow why her daddy won’t leave his bed, and Qrow, drunk off his ass trying to numb the pain, tells her more than he should. Tells her about Raven, how she left Yang and disappeared. How it broke Tai’s heart, and how Summer helped him piece it back together. Only for it to be smashed again when she dies.

This leads to Yang trying to find her mother, and almost getting her and Ruby killed.

So this time, Qrow doesn’t tell Ruby everything. Because he knows her, and he’ll be damned if he puts his nieces in danger again because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut.

Hot For Teacher - Ian Thomas/Alison Crush (Master Theory)

Some of you were unsure of our Hot For Teacher being about Ian Thomas so here’s what we’ve gathered that indicates he is the one she wrote about in her diary entry and that he could be the starting point of the whole ordeal/master plan of A.

Ali wrote ‘Hot for Teacher’ when she spotted Ian interviewing for a teaching position at Rosewood High. In the 4.24 'A is for Answers’ we spotted his resume in the top right hand corner of Ian’s laptop.

This also goes with another clue that we mentioned in our 4.15 recap post:

Alison wanted to learn to use the field hockey stick to preferably get Ian’s attention. The one thing we aren’t sure about is if the flashback was before or after the Ian and Spencer kiss. We are thinking that since she saw him interviewing then she possibly had some idea of what position he was applying for. Which could have sparked her sudden interest in field hockey, meaning the above scene could have taken place before the Ian and Spencer kiss.

If that is the case, then this would explain why Ali was a bit pissed when she spotted her crush kissing her BFF. Also, it clears up what Ian meant when he told Spencer 'see you on the field.’ He could’ve received the coach position during this time since Spencer mentioned that she and Ian “had a moment, early in the summer before Ali went missing” (1.10). Meaning, if Ali hadn’t disappeared he would have started his new job at Rosewood High the beginning of their Sophmore year.

After spotting the kiss, Ali would by any means taunt Spencer until she tell Melissa about the kiss. But sadly it didn’t go down that way. Spencer threatened Ali that she would 'tell everyone the truth about the Jenna Thing’ which is what pissed Ali off even more. Not only did her BFF steal her crush, but she also heard her crush say “she doesn’t mean anything to me” when she and Ian were at Hilton head.

I don’t know if you guys have ever seen the Alicia Silverstone movie The Crush (1993), I think the Ali, Ian, Spencer, and Melissa thing is pretty similar to that movie.

External image

A journalist becomes the unwanted center of attention for a 14-year-old girl whom proceeds to sabotage his life after he refuses her sexual advances. Read More about the movie HERE. I also posted the video link for you guys to view the trailer.

I believe that Ian’s remark pushed her over the deep end and she basically snapped in the worst way, seeking revenge in the cruelest way possible. Ali was in love with an older guy and apparently she wanted to be loved back. If you guys remember in (1.18), Ian told Spencer that “Ali was a psycho stalker, who wouldn’t take no for an answer.” Meaning he was telling the truth. Also, this lead to the newspaper the girls found in 2.23, Labor Day Events for Philadelphia, Brookhaven, and Rosewood…a trail of Ali’s events after she left Ian in Hilton Head.

  1. Her first stop was to make sure Spencer’s threat never surface (the truth about the Jenna Thing), and that was to keep Jenna Marshall quiet with the blackmail. (Philadelphia - Jenna)

  2. Meeting with -A (Mona) her tormentor and possibly settling on a deal that will make both girls happy. I want to point out one more thing with this flashback, a lot of you claim that Mona was lying, I don’t think she was, Mona even told Spencer in 2.25 that Ali was “spying on a guy she had a crush on.” Spencer confirmed she was seeing Ian that summer. If so, when Mona saw Ali in Brookhaven Ali was indeed spying on someone, my guess is it was Ian and Spencer.  (Brookhaven - Mona

  3. Hiding the videos in a storage unit in Rosewood as a way to make sure her two new BFF's  (Jenna and Mona) stay on her team. (More on this towards the end) Ali also wanted to give Spencer one last chance to tell Melissa about her and Ian but Spencer wasn’t backing down which meant Ali had reason to give up on her friends because evidently the girls were on Spencer’s side as stated by Spence during the argument. (Rosewood - Spencer, Ian, & Melissa)

AlI was calling Beach Hottie or Board Shorts obsessively all summer, I seriously think the guy she was calling was Beach Hottie, who I believe was Ian Thomas.

I recall episode 4.02, Spencer told Hanna and Aria that “I’m guessing Ali called Beach Hottie-” Hanna quickly corrected her saying “Board Shorts” Review the trailer I posted above and you will see how Alicia Silverstone, who played Dorian, called Nick obsessively. We believe this is exactly how Ali was calling Ian from Georgia that summer.

The summer in Cape May, also unlocks even more secrets from that summer.

Alison’s obsession with Ian possibly traveled to the shores of Cape May where Melissa (who CeCe claimed to have took the picture) and possibly Ian spent their last moments before she finally broke it off . The Cape May visit took place before Ian and Ali were in Hilton Head, as it was earlier in the summer. Therefore, when Ali told CeCe that she was pregnant (3.17) she could have been lying all along to get some sort of sympathy from CeCe and make it seem as though the guy would kill her. Melissa broke up with Ian after finding out he could have gotten some other girl pregnant.

There’s a strong possibility that Ali has had a trail of crushes with older guys and the mysterious deaths of Ian, Garret, and Wilden were all crushes ending in a gruesome way.

Ever notice how all of the liars boyfriend’s were involved with Ali first.

Notice the tweet from Bryan Holdman. Now with Paige, we aren’t sure of a crush with her but if Ali did have one she was possibly unsure of her sexuality and therefore hated Paige because she was into Emily. We all know how Emily is Ali’s favorite. She could have plotted to expose Paige as a way for her to stop looking at Emily with “goo goo eyes”. W e posted the blog entry here.

Therefore, we are not backing off our Ali killed Ian theory, because we seriously believe she killed him. Our original theories below :

Retracing the Events at the Bell Tower - Did Ali Kill Ian?

We’ve been trying to figure out what exactly happened to Ian Thomas as well as, why Noel Kahn was in the finale.

The Bell Tower:

1. She hit her head and never woke up …

During the struggle between Spencer and Ian at the Bell Tower, Ian recites a possible suicide note for Spencer as he proceeds to unsuccessfully push her from the tower. He also mention this:

And the letter, the one I wrote on your computer won’t answer all of the questions but, it’ll answer enough.

At this moment we learn that Ian had Spencer’s suicide planned out.

2. What are you doing here …

As Spencer was dangling from the tower, a black hoodie walks up and Ian instantly recognizes this person. His shocking response was none other than “What are you doing here?” The widening of his eyes showed that he was shocked/surprised to see this person. In the 4B finale this hooded person was revealed as being Alison DiLaurentis.

The girl thought to be dead during this particular scene but, Ian’s reaction wasn’t that of a person seeing a ghost but more of a person he hadn’t seen in a while (if that makes sense). His reaction wasn’t shocking enough for a person who was seeing someone who was presumed dead, which made us wonder if he knew Ali wasn’t dead.

As hooded Ali knocked Ian off the tower, she quickly walks away to get out of sight.

3. You did what you had to do …

As the liars try to comfort Spencer, Ian is left dangling in the ropes; a rope around his neck and one underneath his arm. You have to wonder how he managed to untangle himself when he could have easily been hung to death from the ropes. This is impossible to do for a person hanging at the feet he was, also we reviewed the screen cap of his body hanging and noticed that the ropes were carefully knotted in certain spots and there was a main rope leading out and away from where he was hanging. We believe this is how he was pulled down and we question Ali’s story.

Ali said that she was waiting in the back and that she saw him, “he was still alive.” If Ian wasn’t dead and was just unconscious, then who pulled him down? Besides the Liars, Ali confirmed she was there at the scene, Mona claimed in 4.01 that “I didn’t push Ian from the Bell Tower. I wish I knew who did,” and Noel Kahn was in the crowd. Therefore, we figured that Ali and Noel Kahn could have worked together during this time to pull Ian down from the ropes and put him in a car out back.

We’re suspecting Ali and Noel because he had to have served some sort of purpose to what happened at the Bell Tower especially since he was seen standing in the crowd that night. In the finale he was the one who was helping her so it’s possible he knew about her being alive for some time. Also, Ali had a few reasons to kill Ian; a broken heart from Hilton Head, the risk of him telling others that she’s alive.

4. He’s been dead over a week …

Ian was dead longer than a week, this was mentioned by Melissa. If Ian was dead longer than a week than we assume that after his body was taken from the Bell Tower Ali and Noel decided to make it look like a suicide. We also suspect Ali because she wore the black hoodie that night at the Bell Tower and Ian could have very well been dead after falling into the ropes, but he was shot in the head to make it seem like a suicide.

The person who murdered him was seen in 2.04 putting Ian’s phone into Spencer’s bag. Remember this is the same person who was texting Melissa and asking for drugs. We still believe this to be Ali because who would want to see Melissa hurt more than Ali.

  1. Melissa was threatening Ali during the summer of her disappearance and she followed Ali and Ian to Hilton Head.
  2. Melissa told Ian that “if he saw Ali again someone would get hurt.” That sounded like fighting words to me, so “game on b-tch!”
  3. Ian said he was just “killing time until something better came along” - she was young and this was probably her first crush so to hear those words was very upsetting.

5. I killed Alison …

The suicide note. We decided to review Ian’s suicide note:

I killed Alison. I lost my temper because she knew too much. But there’s only so much you can bury. It won’t be that easy, but I know how to get rid of the pain. I can’t run from the law. Com and find me.

After reading this letter we matched it up with some things from what we saw in the season finale and this is what helped us with this theory that Ali could have possibly killed Ian (please click the link above for the photos). Because she didn’t deny or say if she did or didn’t, no one bothered to ask.

A list of things to think about as to why Ali is the number one suspect:

  • Ali wore the black hoodie
  • Ali’s stories doesn’t match up with Mona’s, they share some of the same events but are slightly different. Who do you believe?
  • Ali told Hanna “the four of them combined remember more about that night than they think they do.” Meaning the girls memory from that night is still gone and have yet to surface. Therefore, could Ali’s story be the truth are a lie?

Ali is Black Veil

Did Ali kill Ian - Part 2 (Better Explanation)

To break down our Bell Tower theory so that it is not confusing for you guys because I know a lot of you said you were confused :)

The story Ali told the liars in the finale could have been half truth and half lies. Remember Ali told Hanna that they “remember more about that night than they think they do.”

What we were implying with the Bell Tower theory was that Ali was setting up Spencer and the other liars because they can’t seem to remember what exactly happened the night of her disappearance. The four liars can’t remember that they were the ones who tried to kill Ali and buried her alive. They only have bits and pieces from what actually happened that night.

Ali only told the liars in the 4B finale ‘A is for Answers’ that her own mother did it because she realize that the girls still don’t remember.

Noel have been helping Ali this whole time and the night of the Bell Tower incident the ropes were set up for Spencer (probably) but Ali realizes she does not want Spencer dead but perhaps to continue torturing her that’s when she emerges to knock Ian from the Bell Tower.

She and Noel pulled Ian’s body down from the ropes and placed his body in the trunk of a car out back. That is why we see Noel appear out of the blue in the crowd the night of the incident.

After Spencer pawned Melissa’s wedding ring, Ali/A paid to get it back out and gave the guy a horse shoe which was missing from the barn that Ian’s body was found in. The horse shoe was a symbolization of Spencer and all of her races won from horseback riding.

Ali shot Ian in the head in that barn to make it look like it was a suicide but she composed the letter out of the texts and messages that she’d sent the liars. The messages were clues relating to the night that she disappeared.

Also, Ian’s suicide note were all texts from - -A, meaning that - -A was Ali and the other -A was Mona.

Ali was setting the girls up and torturing them because they tried to kill her. We broke down Ian’s suicide note here but we will explain what it means:

I killed Alison - meant that the four liars attempted to kill Alison that night, either by shovel, or rock, or field hockey stick.

I lost  my temper because she knew too much - This meant that Ali knew too many secrets about the liars and were using these secrets against them. The liars were fed up with her bullying them so they decided to take action the night of the slumber party.

But there’s only so much you can bury - Meant that although the liars thought that by killing Ali (who isn’t dead) would free them of her and exposing their secrets they were wrong because although you buried the secrets, they will eventually emerge.

It won’t be that easy, - This meant that although Ali was young and manipulative she wasn’t dumb, she knew that one day the girls would turn on her, so she planned for Grunwald to show up that night and rescue her.

But I know how to get rid of the pain. - Meant that Ali had a plan of revenge and although and she would use an unexpected person (Mona) to help plan out her revenge against the girls.

I can’t run from the law - This meant that Ali knew that one day she will be discovered as not dead, and she will face the consequences.

Come and find me - This meant that Ali was still in charge of the liars and although their secrets were thought to be buried with the she-devil, she was more alive than ever. Therefore, seek me out.

———————————————————————————-

Back to the theory:

Ali was texting Melissa from Ian’s phone because she was the one with his body, and this was a way for her to get back at Melissa for what she said at Hilton Head.

She decided that after they discovered Ian’s body that she would frame Spencer by placing the phone into Spencer’s bag and call when she and Melissa were together.

This goes into play with Ali telling Spencer to tell Melissa about her and Ian but Spencer couldn’t/wouldn’t do it.

We don’t know if this is the route the writers are taking but we love making theories and we really enjoy piecing together plot holes, so this theory was really fun to work on :)

Ali wAs sleeping at the KAhn’s!!!!!

Ali was sleeping at the Kahn’s during the same time that Maya was. Also, this would explain the whole “Maya Knew” thing. Maya knew about Ali being alive, not that Nate was in town like we were told.

Therefore, if Maya knew Ali was alive Maya perhaps, knew that Ali was the one who was torturing the girls.

Another thing to justify that Ali was involved is that we believe she was the one who was looking through Maya’s bag and took the pills from Maya’s bag. We believe she has been drugging the liars which explains their prolonged memory  loss. This is why the girls can’t seem to remember what exactly happened the night of Ali’s disappearance.

This also explains why A was seen looking at Emily’s picture as she was.

I have so much more to add to this, . . but first I need sleep, I’ve been working on this since yesterday.

Hey Qrow, was it true that Zwei was a service animal to help Tai after losing Summer? (Asked by anon)
  • Qrow, chuckles a little and goes to take a sip from his flask, frowns as it's empty and then tosses it to the side: Well, no. But he might has well have been.
  • Qrow, sadly sighs thinking about Summer: She disappeared so quick. Tai got Zwei for Ruby and Yang. Figured it would give the girls something to love and take care of. Maybe help them understand just what Summer did for them.
  • Qrow, smiles and leans back: Little did we all know Tai would get just as much therapeutic use outta that mutt as my nieces.
  • Qrow, closing his eyes, his smile staying on his face: Yep....good dog.
Another RWBY theory - is Qrow Rubys father?

Let’s just backup our knowledge about her family. Taiyang Xiao Long is Yang’s father. Her mother was Raven Branwen, Qrow’s sister.

So, Taiyang got into a relationship with Raven. Shortly after Yang was born (with the surname Xiao Long!), Raven disappeared.

Ruby was Taiyang’s second child, so she says. Her mother was Summer Rose
And Ruby’s surname is Rose
Humm. So Ruby did not get her father’s surname like her older sister did. I wonder why.

Let’s just pretend now that Qrow is her actual father. That would mean Raven had a relationship with Taiyang before disappearing and Summer had a relationship with Qrow. But Qrow was constantly on mission (and drunk), so he didn’t have time for Ruby at all. And when Summer died, Taiyang cared for her.

That would explain why Taiyang was so pissed when Qrow wanted to talk to Ruby alone. And why she has absolutely nothing indicating Taiyang is her father. Plus, Qrow’s frickin awesome.

And - here comes Dragneel, going for the gold,” Natsu narrated, slamming the basketball down and kicking his leg over it, like he wanted to look cool but just ended up looking like a third grade child.

“FAKE OUT!” Natsu screamed, jerking his hands with the ball to the left and then pulling right.

“Natsu - it’s not a real fake out if you announce the fact beforehand,” Gray informed, easily blocking the so-called ‘fake out’ with his hand.

Natsu laughed and kicked him in the shin. Their daily basketball games had begun more and more competitive with each day of summer, it was impressive that they weren’t sick of it yet.

Then again. It was barely three days into summer,

“So,” Natsu began, once they had finished their game in a prompt tie, sitting on his front porch sipping cool sugary lemonade that Gray’s mom had dropped off. “You think this is the summer?”

Gray scoffed. “I thought last summer was the summer.”

Natsu shot him a pointed glare. “Baby steps, Gray. This is the type of relationship that takes time, and effort.”

Gray fought the urge to laugh out loud. “Hell of a lot of time you’ve spent working on this.”

Natsu fumed. “That’s completely - shit. Oh, shit, shit, shit! Look!”

Gray turned his head to where Natsu’s eyes were fixed, across the street and exactly four doors down, the front door swung open to reveal a young blonde girl who looked to be about their age. She walked down the driveway towards the curb, probably to go grab the mail or something.

“Oh my god.” Natsu grumbled, mouth practically watering. “I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna talk to her.”

“Then go, for christ’s sake-”

“She’s so perfect. I mean - yeah, check out that fucking rack - but just…uuuuuhhhhhh…” Natsu groaned, burying his face into his arm shamefully.

The girl reached into her mailbox, fingered through the mail, then made her way back to the driveway.

Fffffffffff-

Then, she disappeared back into her house.

“-uck.

“There goes the summer.” Gray grumbled, sipping his lemonade casually. “You really need to check yourself man. You’ve been pining after Miss-Terri since she moved here.”

Miss-Terri (a less than clever code name for mystery) had moved to that cream colored house down the street almost two years ago. They’re best guess was that she went to a private school of some sort, because they’d never seen her at school, and, ironically, never spoken to her either.

“Hey, but on a different note,” Natsu said, his attention span flicking between subjects. “You saw the moving truck down by Scarlet’s?”

Gray looked upwards and down the street where Erza lived. The old couple who had occupied that house as long as he remembered had finally decided that a multi-level house was unrealistic with their aging bodies. They lived in a suburban enough neighborhood that the house went in less than a week. The new family had moved in yesterday afternoon, but Gray hadn’t had the opportunity to see what they looked like.

“Yeah,” Gray replied, eyeing the house with keen interest.

“Scarlet said there’s a girl our age,” Natsu said conversationally. “Maybe you can get your own ‘Terri, yeah?”

“As if,” Gray responded with a groan. The glass of lemonade had begun to condensate, and  a cool droplet hit his knee cap subtly.

His eyes drifted back to the street. The Natsu’s blonde muse strolled out of the house, wearing nothing but…

“Oh god, don’t look now-”

“What…ohmygod.”

“Yup. Just…keep it cool, you’ve got this…”

“I can’t. I can’t. She’s trying to kill me, what the fuck, she’s so cute, why pink?

Said female was donned in a tight, shiny pink bikini top, accompanied with tiny butt-hugging jean shorts as she strolled over to the side-yard to retrieve something.

Fuck me,” Natsu whispered, and Gray began to laugh at his…struggles…

The girl grabbed her electric green hose and dragged it over to the driveway, where the mini van was parked.

No,” Natsu whispered hollowly, “This can’t be happening.”

Gray’s laughter got louder as it became more and more clear what the girl’s objective was.

“Welp.” Gray started, standing up and stretching his weary limbs. “Have fun watching that.”

The girl grabbed a bucket from her garage and began filling it with water and soap.

“No,” Natsu repeated, “Gray, do something-”

“Try saying the pledge of allegiance,” Gray suggested, finishing the last few drops of his lemonade. “That usually helps.”

Fuck you.”

“More like fuck her.” Gray laughed.

The girl grabbed a wet rag and began dragging it across the front of the car, leaning forward so her chest pressed against the top-

“I pledge allegiance, to the flag-

And so, the summer began to the sound of Gray’s laughing and the smell of cheap soap running down the curb.

.

.

.

The very first incident happens exactly three days after that Tuesday.

“Bullshit,” Natsu whispered into his hand of cards. “Bullshit - you do not have three queens!”

Erza, or more commonly known around these parts as Scarlet, lifted up the three cards she had lain into the massive pile of cards.

Three, mocking queens stared back up at him.

“Read ‘em and weep,” Erza hissed confidently, folding back into her chair and grinning.

“Son of a-”

“Whoa,” Gray breathed out, “Natsu, check your six o’ clock.”

“What the fuck does that mean?”

“Look behind you, dumbass!” Erza whisper-yelled, twisting Natsu’s face by the jaw to look towards the street.

The blonde girl was standing on her front porch, looking outwards, like she was scanning the street for something she had lost.

“Wonder what she’s doing,” Natsu mumbled, absently forgetting that Erza had just whooped his ass.

“Not you,” Erza muttered, and Gray resisted laughing.

“Shaddup. You know what I meant.” Natsu grumbled.

“What’s that she’s holding?” Gray heard himself ask, the girl was clutching something that looked like a plate.

“I dunno,” Erza squinted as she tried to identify the object in the girl’s hand.

“Oh shit. She’s looking at us. Be cool, you fuckin’ freaks!” Natsu screeched quietly.

“Shut up! You’re the freak with the flamingo locks!” Erza yelled right back.

“Oh my god guys, she’s totally coming over.” Gray said in a hushed tone.

“WHATTHEFUCKDOIDO-”

Shut up!” Erza cried, smacking him in the windpipe so he started wheezing like a drowning goldfish.

Gray started laughing so hard he choked on his root beer. Erza had the mind to look away in shame.

The girl was on the front lawn and Natsu was panicking, as well as struggling for breathe because his windpipe was severely damaged.

“Hey,” she stated, and Gray noticed, while choking, that what she was holding was a plate of muffins.

“Are…you guys ok?” She asked, noticing their predicament.

“Yup. They’re…fine. they’re fine.” Erza assured her. “What can we do for you?”

“Well, uh…” The girl trailed off, looking down at her muffin plate. “Did one of you guys…give me these?”

Natsu held the banister tightly, probably still in shock that his dream girl was a few feet away from them.

“Uh…no…are they good?’ Gray asked, recovering from his choking fit and looking at the plate curiously. They looked very puffy and filled with blueberries…delicious…

“Well, I’m kind of nervous to eat them, they could be…poisoned, or something…I don’t know…” She mumbled the last part, embarrassed from coming all the way over here.

“Wait, wait, wait!” Natsu choked out, regaining his voice. “Can I try one?”

Erza and Gray looked at Natsu strangely.

“Uh…sure, I guess, but again, they might be poisoned-”

“Don’t care.” Natsu interjected.

“A-alright.” She stuttered, unwrapping the plastic wrap over the muffins and handing Natsu one that looked particularly select.

“Whoa, hit me up, that looks insane.” Gray requested.

The girl handed him one too, and it only took a look from Erza to earn her one as well.

“What the fuck,” Natsu garbled through a  mouthful of muffin. “This tastes fuckin’ delicious!”

“Really?” The girl inquired, looking at the desirable muffins lustfully. “Does it taste like poison?”

“It tastes like if happiness had a flavor,” Natsu informed her, eating the muffin like he was a broken vacuum cleaner. “So, what’s your name?”

Gray grimaced. Flirting while eating while eating was so Natsu it was almost painful.

“Oh. I’m Lucy,” she told them, eagerly unwrapping a muffin at the sign that none of them had died.

“I’m Natsu,” He said, wiggling his eyebrows in an almost suggestive manner.

“Natsu, how did you get a blueberry on your eyebrow?” Erza asked, who had seemingly finished her muffin unscathed. Even Gray had to admit that the muffin was a work of art. It was weird that someone had just left it on Lucy’s doorstep - maybe it was a secret admirer of hers, she was definitely pretty enough to reel those in.

“I don’t - fuck, hold on,” Natsu vigorously tried to rub the blueberry out of his eyebrow, but only succeeded on giving his whole face a smoky eye look the color of blueberries.

“Wow, these are really good.” Lucy mumbled into her muffin, eating it like it was some sort of delicacy.

“Do you…uh…do you want to play BS with us?” Natsu asked nervously, licking his lips and still rocking the blueberry eye look.

“Uhhh…” Lucy took one look at their three person squad and shrugged. “Why not?”

And so, that summer, they gained a fourth member. Willingly, or unwillingly.

The next day, Erza found a plate of chocolate chip cookies on her front doorstep.

“Holy shit,” Natsu remarked, “these actually have the kind of chocolate that like, comes out in strands when you break the cookie in half - this is some quality shit, like the teenage mutant ninja turtle cheese pizza…”

“I wonder who put these here,” Erza said, allowing herself a cookie and chewing on it slowly. It was still warm.

“Do you think it’s the same person who put muffins on my doorstep?” Lucy wondered, examining the cookie like there might be some sort of watermark on them.

“Whoever they are, why haven’t they come to my house yet, jeez.” Natsu complained sneaking an extra cookie.

Gray said nothing, only enjoyed the taste of the cookie. It was sweet and warm, still a little bit doughy too, which made the best kind of cookie. He couldn’t stand when people overcooked them, he wasn’t a fan of eating stale hockey pucks.

“Hey, I forgot to ask ya Scarlet, have you met the people next door to you yet?” Natsu asked, licking his fingers like he did after he ate an entire bag of cheetos.

“Actually, now that you mention it, I did. There’s a girl there, kind of shy, but nice.” Erza answered. “I swear to god, if you go over there and scare her, I’ll murder you.”

“Well, I was just asking, because I think she’s checking us out. Don’t all everybody look at once…nevermind, you’re doing it anyway.” Natsu sighed.

Sure enough, a gentle looking girl had her face sticking between the parted curtains next doo, anxiously watching them eat cookies on the front porch.

When she saw them look at her, she was quick to hide behind the curtains once more.

“Wait to go guys, you scared her off.” Natsu blanched.

“Shut up Natsu, you’re the one who gave her away!”

“Her name is Juvia, right?” Lucy asked, nibbling on her cookie like a tiny chipmunk.

“Yeah.” Erza replied. “I wonder if we should invite her to join us…”

“We shouldn’t, we’ll probably just freak her out.” Gray retorted, giving Natsu a sharp glare.

“Hey! I didn’t do anything!”

“You will-”

“That’s it! Meet me in the pit, Gray, let’s go!”

“That’s enough you two!” Erza took their foreheads and pushed them apart with ease. “If anything, the racket you two are making will be the thing to scare her off!”

“Are you guys always like this?” Lucy asked cautiously.

Erza said yes at the same time Natsu said no.

“Welcome to the club.” Gray grumbled, but his eyes were fixed on the motionless curtain next door.

That girl had the bluest eyes he’d ever seen in his life.

The Black Widow Suspect: Melissa Hastings

Reasons why we think Melissa could be The Black Widow:

1. Melissa has a thing for disguises. She was The Black Swan from the Masquerade Ball and the QOH’s from the Halloween Train.

2. Her original name was The Black Veil, but after a fan suggestion she was re-named The Black Widow. Melissa is one of the only widows on the show.

3. They both share a very similar body figure.

4. Melissa was one of the few that were not at Wilden’s funeral. We know they did know eachother as the summer before Ali disappeared she took a photo of Cece, Wilden and Ali on a boat in Cape May.

5. The ending of 5x06 (Run Ali, Run) shows The Black Widow writing a message to Bethany Young’s parents. Flash forward a few episodes ahead to Melissa’s tearful confession about mistaking Bethany for Ali and burying her alive. Did Melissa cure her guilt by writing to the family of the girl she killed?

I thought I lost her, the girl from that summer.
She seemed to be gone,
disappeared into the quiet folds of winter,
lost in an abyss of blizzards and heartbreak.

But the sun is finally starting to break through and
I think I’ve caught a glimpse of her.
I can’t be sure, tentative to say,
but it looks like the girl she used to be.

She’s right there, sitting on the bench in the quiet shade of the park,
hidden behind the perfect hat.
She’s watching, just watching,
a smile forming on her lips as something beautiful catches her attention,
drawing her out of the books she’s hopelessly buried in.

She’s taking her time, wading back in,
while the sun peeks through the clouds.
If you’re lucky she’ll let you in,
show you the secret world behind her eyes,
the one she has had to rebuild too many times,
a place free from the pain of being herself.

Just be careful not to tread on the flowers of someone so lovely,
please just let her bloom.

stolen kisses require an accomplice

His first kiss was with Marlene McKinnon when they were thirteen years old and playing spin-the-bottle in Gryffindor tower. His second kiss was eight minutes and twenty seconds later when Lily Evans unhappily spun the bottle right at him.

That was her first kiss.

The next year, a night before the first Hogsmeade trip of the term, she told him she wished she never wasted her first kiss on a prat like him.

He told her she was lucky it was him and not the pudgy Davey Gudgeon who had been eying her since first year.

She stormed away frustrated.

He set off a dungbomb in her dormitory later that night.

She kissed two other boys that year, and thought nothing of it.

He snogged two girls that year, and thought about it a lot.

I’ve seen a few people ask about the Silas University Map – here you go!

The little x mark where the victims were taken; the buildings are: North Quad (Betty), Dorms (LaF), LeFanu Reading Room, Kotex Caf, Lustig Building, Robespierre Building; Shunned House, Zeta House (Nat[halie]), Milgram Lab, (Elsie), Walter Freeman Building, (SJ= Sarah-Jane), Theophilus Library, Hawthorne Hall, Faculty Club. Not marked is the Summer Society House, but that could be where Elsie was abducted (she disappeared at the Summer Soc. Rush Party, Ep. 7/9).
