To Build a Home (2/3)

Rating: M

So…this got away from me and will now be in three parts because I needed to add some Captain Cobra.

Killian throws the note in the water and Emma waits in a house that is no longer a home.

Part One here

Henry is wondering, not for the first time, if he is the only sane person left in this town.

(And really, last time he thought that, he had totally been right. Cursed and all.)

I watched Symbiosis!

I actually liked it a lot!! :D I was pleasantly surprised!

I wrote my thoughts under the cut and how I think it kinda fails at Feminism 101 on so many levels, but. They delivered on some of my particular needs and exceeded some of my expectations, so there’s that!

My Hero Academia’s creativity in its “quirks” makes me envious to say the least.

I think my favorite character is Momo Yaoyorozu. But Kyoka Jiro has one of the strangest yet exceptional “superpower” I’ve ever seen.

I really want my cast of characters to work like that for the Dynamos.

For example, one of the supervillains is named Ringleader. She is a Maverick and has the ability to duplicate herself into clones. The clones are created by a body command she decides (often a snap but she could even just do a blink). They are immobile and are left exactly in the position she was in. The more she creates, the more physical strain it creates. The clones are more like dolls, anyhow. They explode upon contact. Additionally, with a second body command (often Ringleader chooses a word she says), the clones explode.

Ringleader’s ability is called “Exploding Duplicates.”

I’ve had Ringleader as a character but I came up with the ability Exploding Duplicates for a separate character. I was inspired by My Hero Academia to perhaps experiment and so I combined the two.

Light Up the World (a Miraculous Ladybug fanfiction)

A/N: And I make my return to fanfiction after several weeks.  Something nice and light to ease myself back into the swing of things.  The companion piece featuring Adrien will follow next week!
Words: Um… about 900 or so (I’m too tired to actually care)
Summary: It’s a simple question.  Marinette can acknowledge that.  However it’s a little difficult to ponder what kind of Superpowers she would want to have when she’s already Ladybug.

NYU or Bust || Klaroline

“You’re really doing this, huh?”

Caroline looked up from the box she was trying to tape shut over the books bulging out. Elena was leaning in her doorway, glancing at all the clothes and mementos already packed and ready to go. “Yep,” the blonde answered, trying not to crack. “As amazing as it would be to go to Whitmore and stick around here, it doesn’t feel right without Bonnie and Tyler.”

“But I’m still going,” Elena said, tears welling in her eyes.

“I know,” Caroline said, nodding. “But maybe this is the world telling me to let go of home, at least a little bit. It’s time for my own adventure.”

Elena looked lost for words, and Caroline quickly wrapped her in a hug. “Thanksgiving will be here before you know it,” she whispered. “And I’ll be sending so many pictures about my fabulous New York lifestyle that you’ll be sick of me by then.”

Laughing weakly, Elena pulled away and picked up a box. “I guess that’s fair, then.”

It took them two trips, but they finally managed to get everything in the U-Haul Liz had rented to drive Caroline up to school. She had been hesitant to let her baby girl go so far, but Caroline deserved a chance to become so much more than this town. And as a vampire, well, at least she would be more than able to take care of herself.

Turning to Elena, Caroline worried her lip. “You’ll call if you need me,” she asked. The inevitable supernatural drama had already claimed too many of her friends, and leaving the few remaining felt like the worst abandonment.

“Only if you do the same,” Elena answered with a final hug. “Have fun, and be safe.”

“You, too,” Caroline sighed. She took a deep breath and shut the trailer. They were ready to go. “Start it up, Mom! We’re going to New York!”

captnsjones  asked:

your new url is perfect it makes me wanna cry bc skye is gone for good uh

no. nope. no, no, no, no.

i refuse.

skye is skye.

daisy johnson is the girl, who was supposed to grow up with two loving parents. she was supposed to have a father, who’s a doctor and a mother, who loved her more than anything else. daisy johnson was supposed to grow up comfortably, maybe even have some siblings, and knowing about her lineage and be excited to go through the mist.

skye is not that girl.

she’s not mary sue poots, either. the girl, the nuns wanted her to be. a nice orphan girl, who gets adopted by a young married couple and will grow up in the perfect suburban home.

skye’s neither of these girls.

skye never graduated from highschool. she ran from the orphanage. she learned to pickpocket to get by and to hack because she wanted to know who she is. and while she was searching for her parents, she found herself.

a girl who is recklessly brave and who’s compassion knows no bounds. she’s bright and bubbly and caring and smart and daring.

she also found a family in that rag tag shield team. she found friends, that cared for her. people, she could look up to. she found something she wanted, even after telling herself that it’s better to never ever want anything. she decided to become a shield agent, no matter what. and didn’t stop until she became one.

and that’s skye. she was a girl, who was always looking for other people and in the process she found herself.

but now, the writers want her to give that person up. want her to forget the last 26 years of her life. just because her parents, who turned out to be completely messed up people, gave her that name when she was a baby?

nope, I just won’t accept it.

she gave herself the name skye, because that’s the identity she created for herself, the person she grew up to be. and it’s more fitting than any name any other person could choose for her.
