Yoga Setback. Sigh.
So the other day, I went too far up while doing a Shakti kick and continued going forward into a full tumble. My arms went down first, and my knee landed on my elbow. Less than a full minute later, I had an impressive looking bruise on one side. By the next morning it felt fine (although the bruise remains impressive), but while I got right back on the horse and did a full practice the evening after it happened…I can’t bring myself to do a Shakti kick even against the wall. I was even a little nervous doing a headstand against the wall. And now I have to find some way to overcome this fear. Talk about frustrating.
