The Coronation of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi and Empress Farah Pahlavi on October 26, 1967
Although he has been the Shah of Iran for more than twenty years, the Shah finally agreed to a coronation date. The coronation took place in Golestan Palace in a very lavish ceremony. The Shah’s oldest son, Reza Pahlavi was also part of the ceremony. Twelve years later, the Shah and his family were out of power during the Islamic revolution.
The lavish wedding of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi and Soraya Esfandiary-Bakhtiari that took place on the 12th of February 1951 in the Hall of Mirrors at the Golestan Palace. Among the guests included members of various royal families around the world.
The bride wore a silver lamé gown studded with pearls and trimmed with marabou stork feathers Christian Dior wedding dress. She matched the dress with a full-length female white-mink cape. The wedding dress consisted of a 37 yards of silver lame with 20,000 feathers and 6,000 diamond pieces sewn on.
