“Are all humans this cute?” && supercorp please !!!

It just slips out, half a joke, half something honest because - Kara is adorable in every way. From the way she laughs, to her pastel sweaters, to the way her glasses have a habit of slipping just down her nose.

And Lena might just be a little bit in love with her.

Lena also might be still pretending that she doesn’t know that the girl she’s been having regular lunch dates and movies nights with, sometimes has to leave their dates early to go be a superhero.

Really she was just waiting until Kara felt comfortable enough to tell her.

Which was why blurting out, “Are all aliens this cute?” was enough to freeze their lunch date.

Kara’s still sitting across from her, her spoon with ice cream on it, suspended just in front of her face. As she seems to be processing well everything.

Lena should say something.

Maybe ‘sorry’ or ‘oops I forgot I was pretending not to know you’re super girl’ or -

“How long have you known?”

“Honestly, I’ve have my suspicions since we first met. When you came to interview me with Superman.”

22 it's not heavy I'm stronger than I look super corp

“I’m stronger than I look,” Kara insists, lifting Lena up and Lena can’t help but huff out a laugh. “Trust me.”

Yes, as if she could somehow forget that her alien girlfriend was capable of lifting up an airplane without breaking a sweat.

This though, is very different than seeing Kara lift something up.

Even different from being caught in Supergirl’s arms after falling off a building. (Which Lena had to admit was certainly in one of her top ten most romantic and heroic things Kara had done, if not the top five.)

Because they were floating.

Floating.

About two feet off of Lena’s bed.

“I trust you,” Lena replies, “It’s just, I have this horrible image of falling on the floor while we make out, and I don’t want to kink shame, Kara, but-”

Her protests are cut off with a kiss.

 A floating kiss.

The kink shaming could wait.

“Art… did something happen?”

It sounds too stiff, too polite; the tone in his voice is completely wrong. Even when he would get mad, Art never speaks to him in such a way, almost like he’s hurrying to get away from their conversation.

If the notion wasn’t so ridiculous, Nice would have claimed that wasn’t Art at all.

“I think you’re beautiful.” with some supercorp on the side bc i'm thirsty pls

“How do I look,” it’s not a question Kara can answer easily, because she saying that Lena always looks incredible doesn’t seem fair.

She does.

She always does.

And Kara always has to try and control herself and not go spiraling into a gay panic (Winn’s word choice not hers).

Today is even worse, because Lena has spent the last few hours getting ready, coming out of her bedroom in a different dress each time and expecting Kara to have opinions about which was better suited for the charity gallery they were going to.

She tried the first few times.

And then she got distracted, and well -

This one was backless and silver and - “I think you’re beautiful.”

“You said that last time,” Lena points out, smoothing her hands down the side of the dress.

Kara can already tell she doesn’t like it, is likely to go back in there and pull out another one.

“That doesn’t mean it isn’t true.”

“I’m just not sure-”

“Wear the red one,” Kara cuts her off, “I liked that one best.”

“Well, it is your color, isn’t it?”

His mind was drawing a blank. It was like he had forgotten where he was and what was happening; everything except the pressure behind his head.

“I’m sorry to be late,” Art whispered behind him, his words soft as ever, and yet Nice was able to hear them clearly despite the rain falling outside.

ALONG THE WAY WE STILL GROW | Chapter 1

It took me like 10 hours, but it’s finally here. Based on my headcanon of kid!Furuichi, this fic is a series of one-shots that expand on the “What if Furuichi came back as a kid? universe”. This is the first chapter.

Many, many thanks to cracky-anon and fabelyn for motivating me to get off my lazy ass and write, to cows-quack and cracky-anon for beta-ing, to thebibi and alicechugstea for cheering me on, and to thecurtaincall for actually coming up with the concept of kid!Furuichi first. Go read her stuff!

And lastly another round of thanks to cracky-anon for illustrating some scenes with her magnificent art skills (check from time to time, as she might add more later on).

Chapter 1: Our Souls Are Different

The light was too bright to look at it directly, so when it finally died down no one was prepared for the sight in front of them. Lamia had warned them that an incomplete soul in a body was unprecedented and against all natural laws, so she had no idea what would happen. In the worst case scenario, the body could reject the soul and Furuichi would die.

But the sun was almost up and it was impossible to chase after Udagawa, and as things were at the moment nearly a whole soul was better than no soul. No one would dare say it out loud, but if Furuichi was going to die anyway, there was nothing else they could lose at that point.

So Furuichi’s dismembered soul, who up till that point had been running around in the form of a child with a rather somber look on his face, decided to join with his body. And in retrospective, the fact that the boy who sat up no longer resembled the 16-year-old he had been, but instead looked more like an 11-year-old fighting not to trip with his own coat, should not have been so surprising.

anonymous asked:

supercorp "you love me, right?" :)

This should be easy.

Just a simple words. It’s not like she’s confessing her deepest darkest secret to the person she loves more than anyone else in the world - in the universe. To someone who comes from a family of people known to hate aliens with every fiber of their being. To someone who Kara cannot bear the thought of losing.

Except.

That’s exactly what’s happening.

Having a panic attack right about now seems appropriate, and it’s all Kara can do to steady the nervous fluttering of her hands.

She hasn’t felt nervous around Lena in ages. Not since the first time they kissed - Lena pulling Kara across her desk to meet her half way, kissing her like her very life depended on it.

No.

This was much easier.

It had to be, right?

Her nervousness does not go unnoticed. Honestly, it was only a matter of time before Lena said something.

Though the concerned tone of her voice when she asks, “Kara, darling, is everything alright,” hurts more than it should.

“You love me, right?”

Lena looks confused at the question, she’s still worried. “Of course, I love you. What’s the matter?”

“And you’d still love me even if - if say I kept a secret from you, for a long time, longer than I should have - a really big secret?”

“Like you being Supergirl or some other secret?”

“Like-” Kara stops, freezing in place as her brain catches up with what Lena had just said. “Wait, what?”

Now it’s Lena’s turn to smile, “I mean, I was wondering when you were going to tell me but-”

“You know?”

“You are rather obvious, darling. I mean, I do love you, but you’re terrible at keeping secrets.”

“I’m not-”

“You told me you flew to my office once.”

“Oh, but that was - that was ages ago,” long before they’d even started dating, “You’re saying you’ve known since then?”

Lena just shrugs. “I thought it was obvious.”

Prompt: “Sorry, were you sleeping?” for SuperCorp!

She comes in late, because the world needs saving, inevitably. There was a fire and an alien who could coincidentally breathe fire and all Kara really wants to do is fly into the shower and stay there until her skin stops smelling like smoke.

But she promised Lena she would come by when she finished superhero-ing and even though it’s much later than she expected Kara sticks to her word.

The relationship thing, this Lena knowing she was Supergirl thing was still new and fragile and Kara didn’t want to mess that up.

Even if Lena was already asleep.

Which she was.

Clearly.

Laying on her couch with a warm and plush looking blanket wrapped around her body. A book abandoned on the floor.

Lena had been waiting up for her. Even though Kara knew that she had a meeting the next morning, a very important meeting.

The realization stops her for a moment, standing there in the stillness of Lena’s apartment.

“Kara,” a voice says, soft and sure and Kara had been certain she was sleeping - but apparently not. She reaches a hand out of her blanket, and in a second Kara is beside her giving that hand a soft squeeze.

 “Sorry, did I wake you?”

Kara x lena "I won't let you."

“It’s the only way-”

“No,” Lena says, “There has to be another way.”

“There isn’t,” Kara insists, because if there’s another way, if there was any chance at all - then she would have found it, but they’ve been over the plan again and again, and even the DEO’s best and brightest couldn’t come up with anything else.

If she had to die to save the world, well, it would be worth it.

The only regret she had would be leaving Lena behind.

Which is why it hurt more than anything else, to see Lena standing before her, trying to hold back her tears as she says - “I won’t let you do this, I won’t let you leave me.”

NEXT

The second guy they found fifteen minutes later was clutching his dislocated shoulder against his chest, leaning against the wall with the other and running as fast as his legs allowed him to. When Oga nearly materialized in front of him, he staggered back, wailing in fear, but Oga was merciful. A single blow to his stomach knocked him out.
