sf operator

“Every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another.”

The Twin Peaks sign, by day and by night. Twin Peaks opened in 1935 and has been operating as a gay bar since 1972. I believe it is SF’s oldest continually operating gay bar, and it’s said to be the first gay bar in the country to have a windowed façade, allowing patrons to see out and be seen in a time when homosexuality was criminalized and heavily policed. It’s still a great place to hang out in the Castro! 🌈

Killgrave is, what, like a Master 4? Maybe 5? 4 is defined as a threat for which “One full squad of trained operatives should be able to deal with this situation alone, but exceptional circumstance, context and environment may bias things one way or the other.” A team consisting of a former SOF operator, an untrained civilian and a cape whose powers are demonstrably useless against him managed to capture him, though an unforeseen complication allowed him to get away before they could get him into the containment chamber they had prepared. Had their goal been to just straight up kill him, he’d almost certainly be dead.

On the other hand, Canary has a very similar power set to Killgrave, and is listed on the wiki as a Master 8, though I don’t think her powers had some of the limitations that his does. It’s been a while since I read Worm; does anyone remember if he Canary’s singing had a time limit attached to it? Or alternately, maybe Killgrave really is an 8, but hits below his weight because he’s a dumbass. Like, I’m pretty sure a standard PRT team could take him.
