seriously, he just seemed to sit there

Kent Parson snorts when he laughs, like, genuinely laughs, so he tries to never do it. The only person who has heard it is Jack, when they were younger and they were watching some stupid sitcom and a not funny joke showed up, Kent laughed until it hurt and he snorted and snorted and snorted and Jack thought it was so endearing at the time. Kent refuses to laugh like that around anyone else one, because snorting is embarrassing, and 2, because it reminds him of Jack and it reminds him of spending time with his mom when she wasn’t working, and his sister before he moved away and she resented him for getting away.
Then he met Tater, who made it his life’s mission after he and Kent became friends to make Kent laugh until he couldn’t breathe. He tried everything, dad jokes, pranking other people in front of Kent, he even tried puns, for fuck’s sake, and only got wide grins, soft looks, and pretend laughter. He is not here for pretend laughter, dammit. He almost gives up, then, he’s hanging out at Kent’s house when they both aren’t busy, and Kit Purrson was scratching at his ankle, looking for something to do, and Tater starts arguing with her, half jokingly, half seriously, “You want to square up, kitty? We can take outside.” He hadn’t expected a reaction from the cat, much less Kent, who had just walked in.
Kent laughed, his face was red, his mouth was open, his head was thrown back, and, most importantly, he was snorting. Tater hadn’t expected that. Tater lit up like the sun, and he started to laugh too. And they laughed for minutes, though it seems like hours, and Kent would sit down, stomach hurting, and he would rest his head on Tater’s shoulder, and they would catch their breath. Tater would look at Kent with pride and be like, “I knew I could make laugh.” and Kent didn’t even realize Tater was trying. They’re happy.

Touché // j.j.

You can’t pin point when. Somewhere between the steady typing and the flipping of pages, between the constant supply of french fries and chocolate milkshakes, between the occasional eye contact and the brief smiles. Somewhere between the hours of three and seven o'clock, you fell.

To be specific, you fell in love with Jughead Jones, Riverdale’s resident tall dark and handsome, at least in your opinion.

It started one afternoon when Pop’s was busier than usual, every booth and table full except one.

“Do you…do you mind if I sit?” You ask, rocking slightly on the balls of your feet. “Everywhere else is full.”

You expect him to say no; he is, after all, Jughead Jones, and this is, after all, Riverdale, probably the smallest town in the world and everyone at least knew of everyone else, and you definitely know of Jughead and his preference to being alone, especially when he’s writing.

Jughead ceases his typing, locking eyes with you. He glances around the diner, almost surprised at how many people were in it.

“I’m not the best conversationalist,” he says, looking back at you, “I can’t promise anything good.”

This surprises you, you expected a flat out no or for him to even just ignore you.

“I’m not looking for conversation,” you say, shrugging, “just somewhere to sit and read my book while enjoying a milkshake.”

“Depends,” he smirks, folding his hands in front of his laptop, “what flavor milkshake?”

“The best one of course,” you smile back, “chocolate.”

Jughead smiles, actually smiles, and nods.

“Yeah, yeah you can sit,” he says.

You thank him, sliding into the booth and setting your bag next to you. You pull out your book, thanking the waiter as he set down your milkshake.

“Oh, I’m Y/N by the way,” you say, stirring the drink a bit.

“I know.”

You raise your eyebrows, tilting your head to the side.

“You know who I am?”

You remind yourself again that this is Riverdale, probably the smallest town in the world, where everyone knows everyone.

“I know more than you think,” he smiles.

“You take this dark and mysterious thing seriously don’t you?”

“I thought you weren’t looking for conversation?” He raises an eyebrow, half a smirk on his face.

“Touché,” you say, opening your book and settling into the plush seating, sipping occasionally at your milkshake.

This continues for days. Regardless of whether Pop’s is bursting at the seems or it’s just you and him, you always sit together. The two of you sit in that booth, you with a book in one hand and a milkshake in another and Jughead with his laptop on the table and fries next to it.

“You know,” Jughead says one day, fingers still whizzing across the keyboard, “you can sit somewhere else if you want.”

“And ruin the work we’ve been doing?” You smile, “I’m good.”

He stops typing, you feel his eyes on you.

“And what work are we doing exactly?”

“Bonding, Jug,” you say, turning the page.

“Is this what bonding is?”

You look up at him, shrugging.

“What would you call it?”

“Touché.”

Weeks pass, the time you spend at Pop’s growing from a one or two hours into several, your time together stretching into early dusk.

“Hey Jug?” You ask quietly one day, closing your book for once.

He notices, he stops typing, he even half way closes the top of his computer.

“What’s up?”

“How’d you know who I was?” You ask, stirring your milkshake. “That first day…you said you knew who I was before I told you. How?”

“This is Riverdale,” he says, “I think it’s physically impossible to not know someone in this town.”

Jughead opens his mouth to continue, then closes it. You can see the wheels turning in his head.

“I notice things, I notice people,” he resumes finally, “I notice when people are different and you’re different. A good different, but different.”

With that, he raises the lid of his laptop, eyes focusing back on the screen.

“You noticed me?”

He looks back up at you, a smile on his face.

“Course I did.”

When you get to Pop’s one day about a week later, Jughead’s not there, Archie is.

“Oh um…hi,” you say, stopping short in front of the booth.

“Hey, Y/N right?” He asks, motioning for you to sit.

You do.

“Yeah, that’s um…” you shift your weight slightly, feeling uncomfortable, “that’s me.”

“Sorry, this must be awkward,” Archie says with a smile, “I’m Archie.”

“Yeah, I know who you are,” you say before you can stop yourself.

Archie’s eyebrows scrunch up slightly in confusion.

“Sorry, that sounded weird,” you rush, “I just mean, you’re a sophomore on varsity football, the whole school knows who you are.”

Archie smiles a bit, nodding.

“Yeah, I guess that’s true,” he shrugs, “anyway, Jughead sent me.”

You feel your shoulders relax involuntarily, leaning back into the seat.

“Okay.”

“He had to stay after school, make up a test or something,” Archie explains, “he told me to come tell you that he’d be here though, just a bit late.”

You smile.

“Thanks Archie,” you nod, “that’s really nice.”

“Anytime,” the boy replies, smiling, “look uh…this may sound super weird but um…you and Jughead…is that anything more th-”

“No,” you cut him off, shaking your head, “no we’re…we’re just friends. At least…I think we’re friends. We just…we sit together and we do our own thing. That’s all.”

“I know Jughead, that’s definitely a friendship,” he smiles, “okay, I gotta head back to practice before I’m missed but yeah, he’ll be here.”

With another smile he scoots out of the booth.

“Archie,” you stop him, looking up at his face, “look um…god this is going to sound crazy but…is Jughead…is he seeing anyone o-or som-”

“No,” Archie cuts you off with another smile on his face, “he was, for a bit but…not anymore. Do you like him?”

You’re surprised by his bluntness, your eyes widening a bit.

“I uh…n-no I was just curious,” you shake your head, pulling your book out of your bag, “you better get to practice, don’t want coach to bench you.”

Archie smiles again, always with the smiling, and walks out of the door just as Jughead walks in.

“Hey, sorry I’m late,” he says, sitting down across from you.

“I didn’t know we had a set schedule,” you smirk, tilting your head slightly, “nice of you to send your friend though.”

Jughead looks at you, a sarcastic smile on his face.

“Didn’t want you to think I stood you up,” he says, pulling out his laptop.

“Don’t you have to be on a date to get stood up?” You ask, sipping at your milkshake as Pop places a basket of fries in front of Jughead.

“Yeah, I guess that’s true,” he replies, shrugging.

“So are you telling me that these are dates?”

This time you surprise yourself with your own bluntness, and Jughead as well. He recovers quickly though, the shock on his face only evident for a few brief moments.

“You tell me.”

There it is, his smile, his actual smile. Not a smirk, not some no effort half smile, an actual, full blown, Jughead smile.

Looking back on it, you think that’s when you first knew, when you first realized that you were falling for him.

The rest of the night is spent in silence, well, besides the sound of Jughead’s typing and your book pages begin turned.

You arrive at Pop’s the next day to see Jughead already sitting at the booth, typing furiously. That didn’t surprise you. What did surprise you, however, is the chocolate milkshake already sitting on the table in front of your side of the booth.

“I didn’t see you at school today,” you say, sitting down, “did you skip?”

“Yeah, yeah I um…” he pauses, finishing the sentence he’s typing before looking at you, “I got here this morning because I forgot one of my notebooks and I sat down to finish this paragraph I was on and uh…next thing I knew it was one o'clock in the afternoon so I…figured I’d just stay here.”

“Archie asked me if I knew where you were,” you say, “he came up to me during lunch and asked if I knew if you were sick or not.”

“What did you say?”

“The truth,” you reply, “that I didn’t know.”

Jughead nods, looking back down at his computer screen.

“Jug?” You ask, looking at him with furrowed eyebrows.

He continues to type, oblivious to your calls of his name.

“Juggie!” You exclaim, finally drawing his attention.

“Sorry, got caught up in the story,” he shakes his head, “what’s up?”

“What’s going on with you?” You ask, sliding your book off to the side. “You seem…I dunno, off.”

“Sorry just um…a lot of stuff on my mind I guess,” he says, shrugging.

“About Jason or…other things?” You ask.

“It’s nothing important.”

“Juggie,” you say softly, sliding your hand across the table to touch his arm, “if it’s bothering you this much, it’s important. You can talk to me, always.”

“We’re friends right?” He asks, closing his computer all the way.

“Yeah, yeah course we are Jug,” you nod, “please, tell me what’s going on.”

And he does, he tells you everything. About his parents splitting up, about his dad being part of the Serpents, about his mom taking his sister and leaving, about living at the drive in, about living at the school, everything. And you let him talk, you let him go on for as long as he needs with no interruption, just listening.

“Sorry if that’s a lot but um…I needed to get that stuff off my chest,” he finishes, taking a deep breath, “thanks though.”

“Come stay with me,” the words are out of your mouth before you even think them through, but you don’t take them back, “seriously Jug, my dad’s away on business and my mom won’t care, we’ve got room.”

“No Y/N I can’t expect that from you I do-”

“Juggie, you’re my best friend,” you say, cheeks burning slightly, “please, let me do this for you.”

Jughead looks down, staring your hand touching his, both of your fingers practically intertwined on top of the table.

“Are you sure it’s okay?” He asks after a minute or two silence, looking around the diner. “I don’t want to be any trouble.”

“I’m absolutely positive it’s okay,” you reply, catching his gaze, “but I’m not going to force you.”

“As long as you’re sure,” he says, nodding, “I’d really like to not live under the stairs like Harry Potter.”

You were right, your mom doesn’t care, she even convinces your dad that it’s okay for Jughead to stay with you, and after three weeks of it, you’re convinced it is the single best idea you’ve ever had.

The two of you still spend most of your time at Pop’s, something about the neon lights and plush seating and the constant supply of chocolate milkshakes makes you feel more at home than you do at your actual house. Or maybe Jughead does. Maybe Jughead makes you feel like you’re home.

“Do you ever wonder how some people end up with the worst luck?” He asks one day, eyes never leaving his computer screen as he chews on this thumb nail.

The two of you are going on four hours at Pop’s that day, and you notice that Jughead has barely written anything.

“Are we talking about Jason?” You ask gently, closing the book you were reading and placing it on the table.

“We’re talking about everyone,” he says cryptically, “how some people are born with everything they could ever want available on a silver platter and others are born with nothing, but somehow the golden boy ends up with the worst kind of luck.”

Jughead rarely ever spoke directly about Jason Blossom, you knew by now how to read between the lines of his novel-ish tone of voice.

“I think that it doesn’t matter what you’re born into,” you reply, “I think what matters is the choices we decide to make throughout our lives, and that that’s how we end up with good or bad luck, by the choices we make and by how we live our lives.”

“Jason never had to make a choice though,” Jughead exclaims, closing his laptop and sliding it out of the way, “that’s the thing, he never in his life had to make one choice for himself and somehow he still ended up murdered.”

His bluntness surprises you, this being one of a few times he directly tells you he’s talking about Jason.

“He did make choices, Jug,” you explain calmly, “everyday, just like you and me. He made the choice to let his parents give him whatever he wanted, he made the choice to follow that stupid book Chuck made up, he made the choice to be with Polly regardless of what his parents said, he made the choice to try and fake his own death so he could be with her without fear of them, he made hard choices, some of them more tough than you and I will ever make in our entire lives.”

Jughead stares at you, and for a minute you think he’s going to get up and leave.

But then he grabs his computer, mumbling a quick thank you under his breath and he begins to type furiously.

That night you’re laying on your bed, Jughead in the guest room across the hall and you can’t help but feel like he’s a million miles away.

You can’t sleep. Grabbing your phone, you squint at the brightness before you’re able to turn it down, looking at the clock.

2:37 am

“He’s probably asleep,” you whisper to yourself as you unlock the device, fingers moving almost on autopilot to Jughead’s message thread.

Can’t sleep, you awake?

You lay the phone on your stomach, staring up at the dark ceiling and willing your body to sleep. The vibration of the device pulls you out of your thoughts.

You okay?

You smile, two simple words causing happiness to bubble up in your stomach.

Yeah, just can’t seem to sleep.

You want to come talk?

If you don’t mind.

You’re always able to come talk to me.

You don’t reply, instead you get up out of your bed, quietly opening your door and then closing it behind you. You take three quick steps across the hallway, opening and closing Jughead’s door as quietly as you did your own.

“Hey,” you say softly, standing in front of the door.

Jughead props himself up on his elbows, the first thing you notice is the lack of a grey beanie upon his head.

“Hey,” he says back in the same tone, “you okay?”

Those two words again, this time sounding even better as you can hear him say it in his own voice.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” you reply, pushing some hair behind your ear nervously.

Why are you nervous? You ask yourself as Jughead motions for you to come join him. It’s only Juggie.

You slide under the covers, but only because the room is cold, and you’re next to him, but only because it’s his room, and his arm is around your shoulders, but only because he’s a good friend and he wants to comfort you.

“Why can’t you sleep?” He asks, rubbing his eye with one hand.

“Did I wake you up?” You ask.

“No I was working on my book,” he explains, pointing at the computer on the bedside table, “don’t change the subject.”

“I dunno…overthinking I guess,” you reply, shrugging a bit.

“About what?”

“Everything I suppose,” you say, “about how if Pop’s wasn’t full that one day or if I had decided not to go then we probably wouldn’t have ever met. About how if I hadn’t continued to sit there we probably wouldn’t have become best friends, about what Archie sa-”

“Archie?” Jughead cuts you off. “What about Archie?”

You curse yourself silently. You didn’t mean to say anything about Archie.

“Nothing, nothing,” you reply quickly, but the look on Jughead’s face told you that he wasn’t going to let it go, “okay um…back that one day when you sent him to Pop’s to tell me that you were going to be late uh…he said that you had been seeing someone but that you weren’t anymore and I was…I guess I was just thinking about who it could’ve been.”

He’s silent, more silent than you’ve ever experienced with the many months of knowing him. Minutes pass, they feel like hours. Finally, you decide to break the silence.

“Juggie?” You whisper.

“Sorry I um…” he shakes his head, raven colored hair flying everywhere, “why were…why were you thinking about that?”

“Curious, I guess,” you explain, “sorry if that seems intrusive or weird or whatever bu-”

“No no it’s…it’s okay,” Jughead replies, wrapping his arm around your shoulders a bit tighter, “it…it was Betty. We had a thing for a few weeks but in the end we decided we were better off as friends.”

“A few weeks?”

“Before I met you, we stopped about two days before that day at Pop’s”

“And are you?”

“Am I what?”

“You and Betty, are you better off as friends?”

“Definitely.”

You nod, falling into silence once again.

This time Jughead breaks it.

“Look I’m not…I’m not good at this whole feelings thing,” he says, “Betty was the first girl I ever really had those types of emotions for but it wasn’t…it wasn’t what I’m supposed to feel. Or rather what I want to feel.”

“Do you know what you want to feel?” You ask, tilting your head up to look at his face.

He looks almost angelic in the pale light streaming through the semi-closed blinds.

“Yes.”

“Do you know anyone that makes you feel like that?”

“Yes.”

The answer comes quick, almost too quick.

“Who?”

Another pause.

“I can’t say.”

Your stomach drops on slightly, but enough for you to feel it nonetheless.

“Oh.”

“It’s not that I don’t want to,” he rushes, running one of his hands through his hair, “it’s just that I don’t really know how to.”

“You’re a writer, Jug,” you say, “I know you’ll figure out how to tell her. You’re good with words.”

“Not when it comes to these kinds of words,” he laughs lightly, “I don’t want to mess up.”

“Don’t psych yourself out,” you encourage, regardless of the weight on your heart, “maybe you don’t need your words this time, maybe actions is the way to go. I believe in you, I know you’ll figure it out.”

Jughead finally looks at you, dark hair falling in front of his face as it’s still free of the infamous crown beanie.

“Actions?” He repeats.

“Yeah, you know what they say,” you smile, “actions speak louder than words.”

He blinks a few times, it’s almost like you can see the thought processing through his brain.

And then suddenly his hands are cupping your face and his lips are on top of yours, your eyes closing as if they had minds of their own. You’re shocked, who wouldn’t be, but it only takes a fraction of a moment for your mind to kick into gear and then your kissing him back, one hand on his shoulder and the other on the back of his neck.

If I’m dreaming I hope I never ever wake up.

He pulls away too soon for your liking, both your chests rising and falling little faster than usual.

“That thing you said about actions,” he says breathlessly, “I believe it.”

You smile wide, Jughead pressing his forehead against yours.

“You were talking about me?” You ask, still a bit shocked.

Jughead nods a few times, a smile on his face as well.

“I like you, Y/N,” he finally says, “I know that’s not poetic or artistic or anything like that but I just…I don’t have any other words. I really like you.”

You think your face is going to split in half by the giant smile you can’t keep off your face.

“Juggie,” you bite your bottom lip lightly, shaking your head, “god I can’t even tell you how much I’ve been wanting you to say that.”

Jughead’s smile widens and you swear the room brightness a bit.

“I’m really glad you couldn’t sleep tonight,” he whispers, laughing quietly.

“Me too,” you smile even wider, if that’s possible, “Juggie I’m…I’m really really happy right now.”

“God I am too,” he says, pressing a kiss to your forehead, “do you maybe want to have dinner with my friends tomorrow? I know they’re going out after the game, I can finally introduce you, properly too.”

“Ooh, dinner with the friends,” you say sarcastically, “I don’t know, you think our relationship is ready for that? We’ve only been together all of five minutes.”

Jughead laughs loudly and you shush him, the two of you falling silent to make sure your parents were still asleep.

“My dad will kill you if you wake him up and he finds us like this,” you whisper, shaking your head, “but in all seriousness, do you think it’ll be awkward for Betty? I don’t want to cause any trouble or anything I know you guys ar-”

“Y/N,” he stops your rambling, a soft smile on his face, “it’ll be fine. Betty and I are good, like I said, we’re better off as friends. Trust me, she’ll be okay. I wouldn’t bring either of you to meet each other if I didn’t think she’d be okay.”

“Okay, I’ll come to dinner with your friends,” you say, “on one condition.”

“Oh god, what?”

“I get to wear the infamous beanie,” you rush out, reaching over Jughead’s body and plucking the hat from on top of is computer.

“Y/N!” Jughead exclaims, trying to grab the hat back from you.

“Hold on hold on,” you say, pushing his hand away.

You put the beanie on your head, smoothing your hair out under it and looking back up at him.

Jughead stops struggling, half a smile on his face.

“Well you do look adorable,” he says, brushing a stray piece of hair off your cheek.

“I wear the beanie tomorrow,” you ask with raised eyebrows.

“You can wear it to dinner,” he compromises, tilting his head to the side.

“Touché.”

Jughead keeps his word, and when the two of you leave your house that evening and head for Pop’s, he takes the beanie off his head and places it on yours, shaking out his hair. Jughead intertwines your fingers together, smiling at you and at how happy you look.

Jughead explains his friends to you, telling you a bit about each one of them as you both walk towards the diner.

“They’re probably going to say something,” he says, “about the beanie.”

“Have any of them ever seen you without it?” You question.

“Archie has a few times, Betty once or twice,” he explains, “but other than that, no.”

Jughead’s warnings were a bit understated. In fact, when the two of you walk into Pop’s and find his friends at a booth, it seems all conversation in the entire diner ceases.

“Jug,” one of the girls, Veronica, says, mouthing wordlessly for a few seconds, “you made it, we thought you weren’t going to come for a while.”

“Yeah, yeah we left a bit late,” Jughead shrugs, “guys um…this is Y/N. Y/N, this is…well this is everyone.”

Once the awkward formalities were out of the way and Pop had brought over everyone’s celebratory milkshakes (the football team won that night), everything felt normal.

You laugh at all the jokes, even tell some of your own. You feel like you’ve been part of this group for years, and you know Jughead can tell.

“Hey um…sorry guys I gotta take this,” Jughead says after he pulls out his phone.

“Juggie?” You ask. “Everything okay?”

“What? Yeah,” he replies, “it’s just…it’s my mom. I should take it.”

“Yeah, yeah of course go ahead,” Betty says, “we’ll keep her company,” she smiles at you.

Jughead thanks them, walking out the door to the diner with the phone up to his ear.

“So,” Veronica says, holding her head up with her hands, “you and Jughead.”

You furrow your eyebrows.

“Oh come on, don’t make her spell it out!” Kevin says, “he’s letting you wear his most prized possession for pete’s sake!”

You feel a blush spread across your cheeks, looking down at the half empty milkshake in front of you.

“I think you guys make a cute couple,” Betty says, licking some whipped cream off of her straw.

“Thanks Betty,” you reply, smiling again.

“This is going to sound awkward but uh…” Archie trails off, “has Jug told you anything about what’s going with his family an-”

“Yeah,” you cut him off, “he has. About everything, including his dad and that stuff. He’s um…he’s staying at my house. Has been for a couple weeks.”

Veronica smirks, Betty elbows her in the ribs. Archie and Kevin rolls their eyes at the two girls.

“Hey, I think he’s talking about you,” Kevin says, nodding in Jughead’s direction.

The four of you look over at him, you watch as he talks into his phone with a huge smile on his face, running a hand through his hair to push it back every couple of seconds.

The night draws to a close all too soon, everyone heading back to their houses as you and Jughead walk hand in hand down the asphalt road.

“I think that went really well,” you say, smiling at him.

“I agree,” Jughead says, stopping you both from walking and standing in front of you.

Before you can ask what he’s doing, he places his lips on yours, cupping your cheek with one hand while simultaneously tilting your head up. You feel him lift the beanie off of your head, but honestly you don’t really care. He pulls away with a smirk, fixing his hat back on his head.

“Archie,” you say, looking over Jughead’s shoulder.

“Really?” He asks with semi-wide eyes, “that’s what you’re thinking about in the middle of our moment?”

No, god you’re an idiot,” you shake your head, pointing over his shoulder, “Archie’s window, which happens to show Archie watching us right now.”

As soon as Jughead turns around Archie slides his curtains closed, causing you and Jughead to burst out in laughter.

“Did you kiss me just to steal your hat back?” You ask in a fake shocked tone.

“Possibly,” he replies, quirking an eyebrow.

“Touché Jones, touché.”

Hello! How are you? Can I request a jealous ivar fic? The plot is up to you because you’re an amazing writer!

You loved Ivar, you really did; but sometimes, he was too difficult to deal with. He had his anger issues and his insecurities, just like every other viking. He had a way of ‘throwing a fit’ when he didn’t get what he wanted and sometimes, he was just too much for you.

You weren’t dating him or anything, although you sometimes wish you were. You had grown up with Ivar; going around as kids. You would pull his little wagon that he sat in behind you as you went and scared other children or followed his mother around. You had grown up like siblings and were still incredibly close.

You stuck through with him and helped him cope with his disability and his brothers always picking on him because of it. After the death of his mother, you seemed to be the only one who was truly there for him, besides his father. But eventually, his father had died too. You were with him when he got the news and you will never forget his reaction.

You seemed to be the only consistent thing in his life at the moment. So, when Sigurd had started to hit on you, you couldn’t help but notice Ivar starting to act strange. You had tried to confront him about it, but every time he would just ignore you and crawl away. Until today. He had tried to crawl away and had gotten a pretty far distance when you shook your head and ran for him.

dont. just don’t.

“I can’t believe I fell in love with a monkey,” laughed Dean, looking up into the tree.

Cas bristled. “I am not a primate. I have no tail. I just…” He trailed off, and Dean laughed again, not unkindly.

“You just appreciate trees? You’re just trying to commune with the bees by getting as close to them as possible? You just like the way my heart nearly stops when I see you swinging like Tarzan and I’m terrified you’re going to fall to your death??”

Cas leapt down from the branch he’d been sitting on, landing lightly in front of Dean. Blue eyes met green, full of a seriousness Dean did not expect.

“I just miss flying.”

Dean sucked in a breath. Of course. Stupid. Of course Cas missed his wings. Why hadn’t he realized? When Cas lost his grace there had been so many adjustments: eating, sleeping, taking showers, wearing different coats. But after the night they watched Netflix until nearly dawn and Dean had unthinkingly kissed Cas goodnight…well, all that other stuff seemed to fall away. To Dean, anyway. Some boyfriend I am, he thought, mentally kicking himself.

“Cas,” Dean said, his voice wreaked with helplessness. “Cas, I’m sorry…”

Cas smiled. Cas’s smile should be bottled, Dean thought distractedly. It could probably cure cancer.

“It’s alright, Dean,” said Cas, running his fingers through Dean’s hair. “I don’t want my grace back. I don’t want to rejoin Heaven’s armies. All I want is you.” He pulled Dean’s head toward him until their lips just met. For a moment Dean was drowning, then Cas pulled away. “I love you, Dean,” he said softly, “but I think I’ll always miss my wings.”

“Okay, Angel. Climb your trees. Just don’t expect me to climb with you. Or to watch when you are higher than the lowest branches.” Dean shuddered. “I’ll just stay here on the ground. And look straight ahead.”

“Some days I’ll climb,” agreed Cas. “But most days I’ll stay right here…” Cas wrapped his arms around Dean, pulling him even closer, “…and you can be my wings.”

MISUNDERSTANDING [FRED WEASLEY]

request: “could you possibly write a fred weasley x reader with number 4 and 68?? if you could, that’d be wonderful!!” — by anon

a/n: it’s funny to think that the numbers you requested are somehow linked with the drunken nights imagine i made for draco lol

4. “No. We did not do the frick frack last night.”
68. “Any reason why you’re half-naked in my room?”

Masterlist + Request here!

“Y/N, dear, thank you for bringing Fred in one piece.” Molly Weasley handed you a cup of tea. “Really. It still amazes me how he managed to find a girlfriend who’ll actually tolerate his devilish tactics.” she mostly told the last statement to herself rather than to you, moving on to the kitchen once again to now prepare for breakfast.

You grinned. “It was no biggie, Mrs Weasley. Thank you for letting me stay for the night.” you sipped your tea silently.

“Well, it’s the least I could do considering how my son disturbed you. Oh, I swear, as soon as he wakes up he’ll hear something from me and I’ll make sure he won’t do it again.”

Mrs Weasley kept on speaking to herself even more after that, her tone obviously mad from the way Fred behaved that it made you chuckle as you finally finish you drink.

Honestly, what Fred did wasn’t too grand. He just had enough drinks to actually get drunk last night, he apparated to your house and insisted to sleep there, but since you knew how strict your parents were, you just decided to bring him home at the Burrow instead. You were supposed to come back that very moment but you couldn’t bring yourself to leave him so you settled in staying with him just for night, planning on waking up tomorrow as early as possible to go home unnoticed by your mum and dad.

It was definitely a good thing that your parents were such heavy sleepers.

“Thanks for the tea, Mrs Weasley. I’ll just go upstairs and change my clothes then I’ll be leaving.” you stood up from your chair.

“Okay, honey, please do make yourself feel at home.”

You headed to the staircase and quickly made your way to Fred’s room. You were wearing a shirt of his for the meanwhile of your stay and your clothes from yesterday (which still smelled decent, thank the heavens for that) was on the edge of his bed.

Before you could take off your shirt, you peered suspiciously at your boyfriend’s still sleeping figure. Well, it wasn’t like it would be the first time he would see you naked if he was awake, but somehow you still wanted to keep your guard up.

When you were sure he was still unconscious, you stripped down as quietly as you can. Though just as you were buttoning your pants, your upper body completely bare except for the bra that you were wearing, you abruptly heard Fred grunt and turn behind you.

“Any reason why you’re half-naked in my room?” his hoarse voice filled the area, a chuckle escaping his mouth afterwards.

You turned around and raised an eyebrow. “I know what you’re thinking.” you rolled your eyes, reaching out and grabbing your shirt that was still on the foot of his bed.

Fred took a minute before answering and sitting up, “Did we …” he slowly asked you again in grogginess, his eyes not even opened entirely as he gazes at you.

“No. We did not do the frick frack last night.” you laughed to yourself, soon sitting down to wear your shoes.

    “Damn it.”

    “You seem disappointed.” you teased.

    “I am.”

You furrowed your eyebrows, “Are you still drunk, love?”

Fred chuckled again. “No. Just amazed that my girlfriend has self-control.” he had the nerve to joke.

After you have successfully worn your shoes, you finally walked towards the bed and sat beside him. He was already looking at you though, bringing his hand to your leg and closing his eyes again.

“Seriously, Y/N, I’m sorry for last night. I shouldn’t have bothered you.” he yawned.

You leaned down and kissed his forehead. “It’s alright. Everything for my favorite man.” you winked playfully. “Though now, I need to get going before my parents wake up. You know, you should be thankful they’re both muggles or else they’d be aware of my late night sneaking out.”

“At least give me a proper kiss before you go.”

You smiled, reaching down and attaching your lips to his. You felt him smile, his hand moving its way to the back of your neck to pull you closer. You almost melted into him because of how warm he was in the morning and how he was honestly such a good kisser, but as you broke free, you realized what he was trying to do.

“Nope, not working on me, Weasley.” you pecked his lips once more before standing up and getting your wand from the table.

Fred dramatically sighed. “I was sure it would work this time.” he grinned, his face now red.

You chuckled. “Whatever.” you looked at his eyes again. “Make sure to apologize to your mum when you go downstairs, okay? Stop giving Molly such a headache.”

    “I will. Go home safely.”

    You nodded.

With one final playful wink, you waved your wand and apparated back to your room, where your own bed was messy and the door was still tightly sealed with a lock.

“I know,” Ned agreed.

You looked up from your textbook to see them staring wistfully across the room, chins in hand. You followed their line of sight until you landed on Liz Allan, laughing with a couple of her friends across the room.

Just another Wednesday.

A/N: Thank you all so much for helping me reach that many notes! I worked on this maybe a day and a half, so that’s why it’s shorter. I wanted to focus more on the reader and Peter for this one so I hope I captured that, basically I got the inspiration form when Gwen meets with Peter in The Amazing Spiderman 2. For the next chapter, it’s gonna be quite long so it may take me a week or so to finish. Please like, reblog, comment, or ask! I appreciate the feedback! Enjoy sweeties!

You were leaning against the bus with the other Decathlon members as Cindy loaded her bags onto the bus when Peter runs towards your group, out of breath. Upon catching his breath, he looks over at you, just about ready to talk to you when Michelle stands in front of you, blocking your view. Her arms are crossed over her chest, and her hip is tilted toward the left which meant only one thing, Michelle was mad.

Spy Date

A/N: Still can’t get the Keep Reading link up. Again, I’m sorry for the space I’m taking up on your dashboard.

Dad!Tony x Daughter!Reader, Peter Parker x Stark!Reader

Summary: The Avengers spy on you and Peter on your first date.

Word Count: 2,660

“DAD!”

Tony jumped at the sudden intrusion of your voice. He looked up to see you, a bright smile on your face.

Tony sighed, wiping his hands with a dirty rag, “Try not to do that when I’m working. Unless you want things to blow up, in which case, do it all you want.”

You blushed, rubbing the back of your neck, “Sorry.” You took a deep breath, “So, I have some exciting news.”

Tony raised an eyebrow, “Does it involve me?”

“Not really.”

He waved a hand, “Then I’m not interested.”

You rolled your eyes, “Daaaad.”

Tony chuckled, “I kid. Seriously, I’m not that heartless. What’s up, buttercup?”

You put your hands together, grinning widely, “Peter asked me out!”

Tony froze, processing your words. “Peter? As in Peter Parker? Spiderling Peter Parker?”

You put your hands on your hips, “Do you know any other Peter Parkers? Of course, it’s him, Dad.”

Tony nodded but said nothing. Instead, he started to walk out of the lab.

You raised an eyebrow, “You’re not going to say anything?”

He stopped, turning back to look at you. He placed a hand on his head, “Sorry, hon. Uh, that’s great. Where’s he taking you?”

“Well, first we’re going to eat at the Brooklyn Diner.”

“Cheap.”

You narrowed your eyes slightly at him, “Then, he’s going to take me to Central Park.”

Your dad scoffed, “That’s not much of a date.”

“It is only the first date.”

Tony blinked, “First date? Are you planning on having more?”

You shrugged, “Well, assuming it goes well, probably. Plus, I really like him. So, yeah, we probably will have more.”

Tony rubbed his chin, “Interesting.” Without saying another word, he walked out of the lab.

You furrowed your eyebrows, confused, “Ooookay?”

“(Y/N)’s going on a date.”

Clint chuckled, “Is that why you called us?”

Tony crossed his arms, “This is very serious, Barton.”

Natasha rolled her eyes, “No, it’s not. You’re making this serious. She’s a teenage girl.”

“My teenage girl. “ Tony said, pointing to himself.

Sam shrugged, “What difference does it make? Let her have her fun. Besides, it’s only the first date. Nothing ever happens on the first date.”

Steve nodded, “And, besides, she’s going out with Peter. He’s a good kid. He’d never do anything to your daughter, Tony.”

Tony sighed, “Cap, you don’t know that. He’s a teenage boy. You know how they can be.” He looked at Steve again, “Okay, well, maybe not you.”

“You are being dramatic, Stark.” Thor said, pointing Mjolnir at him, “Let the young ones have their fun.”

Bruce nudged the billionaire, “You always say you want her to be happy.”

“I thought you were on my side. Anyway, they did it all wrong. If a guy likes a girl, he has to ask the girl’s dad before asking her out. That’s like Dating Etiquette 101. Apparently, Parker didn’t take that class this semester.”

“That’s a little old-fashioned, don’tcha think, Stark?” Clint popped a chestnut into his mouth.

Tony scoffed, “No. It’s common courtesy. He should have asked me before asking her.”

“Would you have said yes?” Nat raised an eyebrow.

“Ye - no. Maybe. But, he didn’t ask so I couldn’t have said anything.”

Steve sighed, “Okay, we get it. You don’t like the idea of her going out. But, is that the only reason you called us here?”

Tony chuckled, “Oh, no. As (Y/N)’s father, I only care about what’s best for her. So, I need volunteers to help me spy on them.”

Bruce rolled his eyes, “I knew something like this was going to happen.”

Tony raised his hands, “Hands? Come on, I’m not playing spy by myself. Clint, Widow, you’re spies. Help a guy out here.”

Clint stood up, stretching, “This is gonna be hilarious. Sure, I’ll go.”

Natasha sighed, standing up as well, “I’ll go. To make sure that you don’t ruin their date.”

Tony rolled his eyes, “I’m not going to ruin their date. I’m going to make sure that he doesn’t ruin her.”

Steve crossed his arms, “Tony, don’t you think that’s an invasion of privacy?”

Tony clasped his hands together, “Well, we know who’s not coming. Anyone else?”

Sam chuckled, “Sorry, Stark. I’m not spying on your daughter.”

Thor held up Mjolnir, “I shall come.”

Tony squinted his eyes, “Yeah, no offense, Point Break. But, you’re not exactly subtle. I guess this will have to do. Nat, use your spy skills to find out when her date is.”

Natasha placed a hand on her hip, “Can’t you ask her yourself?”

“I already asked her where. Go on. She trusts you.”

Natasha let out a sigh, “Whatever.”

With that, she walked out of the meeting room.

You were in your room, typing away on your laptop when you heard a knock on the door.

You closed your laptop, “Come in.”

The door opened, and Natasha came walking in, “Hey, (Y/N).”

You smiled, getting off your bed and meeting her halfway. You wrapped your arms around her waist, “Hey, Nat. It’s good to see you.”

She hugged you back, rubbing your back, “You, too. Anyway, I heard that you’re going on a date with Spider-Man.”

You chuckled, pulling away from her, “My dad is such a gossip.”

“Are you excited?”

You nodded, “Oh, definitely. I’ve had a crush on Peter for so long. I was thinking of asking him, but I didn’t want to risk being rejected. Plus, my dad would most likely have murdered him if I was rejected. But, he asked me out, so I was worrying for nothing.”

Nat patted you on the back, “I’m happy for you, (Y/N). When are you going?”

You hugged yourself, “Saturday night. He says that Central Park is more romantic at night.”

Natasha smirked, “So, he’s the romantic type?”

You giggled, “Apparently. I’m really looking forward to it. Oh! Do you think you can help me pick an outfit? I want to look nice but nothing too fancy.”

“I would love to.” She gave you another hug before walking out the door.

Saturday had come quicker than you expected. But, you weren’t complaining. Natasha helped you pick out a cute outfit, and you were eagerly awaiting the arrival of your date.

“I want you home no later than eleven, got it?”

You rolled your eyes, “Okay, Dad.”

“And if he does anything to you, let me know.”

You raised an eyebrow at your father, “Dad, this is Peter we’re talking about. Without the mask, he’s a stuttering sweetheart. He’s not going to do anything.”

Tony shrugged, “Hey, it’s been known to happen. And, if he starts to get boring, you can walk out.”

You shook your head, “Oh, brother.”

The ding of the elevator drew your attention away from your dad. The doors slid open, revealing none other than the Spiderling himself.

He smiled upon seeing you. He walked over to where you and your dad were standing.

“Hey, (Y/N). You look great.”

You smiled, “Right back at you, Peter.”

“Parker.”

Peter gulped, nervously looking at Tony, “Uh, h-hey, Mr. Stark. Good to, uh, see you, too?”

Tony glared at him, “Bring her home by eleven. And, don’t touch her. You ought to be lucky that I’m allowing this.”

Peter rubbed the back of his neck, “Y-yes, sir. Uh, come on, (Y/N).”

You nodded, quickly hugging your father, “Bye, Dad. See you later.”

Tony hugged you back, “Not too much later.”

Eventually, you and Peter made your way out of the Tower.

“All right. Commence Operation: Spy Date.”

“Spy Date? Is that the best you can do?” Clint walked into the room, twirling an arrow in his hand.

“Uh, what are you doing with those arrows?”

Clint raised an eyebrow, “Uh, what I always do with these arrows?”

Tony chuckled, “I’m sorry, maybe you didn’t hear me. I said spy. We are spying. Meaning we don’t want to draw attention to ourselves. Those, Legolas, will draw attention.”

“Don’t act like you know anything about being a spy, Tony. Because, you don’t.” Natasha walked into the room, wearing a black leather jacket over a grey tank top and jeans.

Tony held out a hand towards Nat, “See? Guess we know who the better spy is.”

Clint held his arrow above Tony’s head, “Don’t make me make a kabob out of you.”

“You know, Peter and (Y/N) are not going to be out all night. You want to spy on them, Tony? Then, I suggest we head out.” Natasha got in between the two men and pushed them away from each other.

“Widow’s right. Let’s go.”

The three Avengers got into one of Tony’s cars and drove to the Brooklyn Diner.

Clint and Nat got out of the car, but Tony did not.

“What are you waiting for, Stark? This is your daughter we’re spying on.” Clint placed his sunglasses over his eyes.

Tony nodded, “Exactly. She’ll most likely recognize me no matter how much I disguise myself. Now, go in there and do what spies do. Don’t pick a table too close. I don’t need them getting suspicious. Talk to me through your coms and let me know if he does anything.”

Natasha rolled her eyes, “You better hope she doesn’t recognize us either. Come on, Hawkeye. Let’s get this over with.”

“Can we order food? Cause I’m starving.”

Natasha and Clint got a table not too far from (Y/N) and Peter. They held their menus up to shield their faces.

Clint huffed, “Does he want us to listen in on their conversation? Because, we’re too far away.”

Natasha sighed, “Stark is making too big a deal out of this. He ought to let her enjoy her night.”

Uh, you know your coms are on right?” Natasha winced at the sudden intrusion of Tony’s voice in her ear.

She placed a finger on the com, “So what if they are? They’re not doing anything. From what I can tell, they seem to be having a nice conversation.”

Clint reclined in his chair, “Yeah, and besides, they’re sitting across from each other. The most they can do is hold hands.”

No holding hands on the first date.”

Nat shook her head, “Tony, you’re being too much of a dad.”

Uh, I’m sorry. Who has kids around here?”

“(Y/N) just laughed. He must be funny.”

“She laughs at everything. Seriously, if you just look at her, she’ll start laughing.”

“Well, they just got their food. Looks like Parker got a burger while (Y/N) got a cheesesteak.” Clint looked at his menu, “Are we supposed to watch them eat? Because I’m hungry enough as it is. If I knew we were coming to a diner and not going to order anything, I wouldn’t have come.”

(Y/N)’s a very fast eater. She’ll be done soon. And, if you’re hungry, there are plenty of hot dog carts around New York. Just hope there’s one near Central Park.”

“Fine. But, you’re paying.”

About ten minutes later, the two teenagers had finished their meals and were heading out the door.

Nat pushed the button on her com, “Tony, they’re heading out the door.”

I see them. They’re not holding hands, but they’re standing a little too close. Six inch rule, anyone?”

Clint chuckled, “Six inch rule? You are such a dad.”

They’re down the street. You can come out now. We’ll take the long way to Central Park.”

Nat sighed, “We’re on our way.”

Ten minutes later, the three Avengers arrived at Central Park.

“Sweet. Hot dog cart at six o’clock. Pay up, Stark. You owe me.” Clint stuck out his hand, waiting for some money to be placed into it.

Tony rolled his eyes, fishing out a twenty from his wallet. “Here. I expect change.”

Clint looked down at the bill, “A twenty? That’s it?”

Tony put his wallet back in his pocket, “You don’t need a hundred to buy some weiners. Now, go. Before I change my mind.”

“Fine. Nat, you want anything?”

She shrugged, “See if they have corn dogs. If not, just get a dog with mustard and ketchup.”

Clint gave a two-fingered salute before heading over to the hot dog stand.

Tony clasped his hands together. “All right. Let’s go find the kids.”

It didn’t take long for Tony and Natasha to find the two teenagers. (Y/N) and Peter were leisurely strolling along the sidewalk.

“I feel so sorry for her. This must be the most boring date in the history of boring dates.”

Nat rolled her eyes, “Tony, why do you have to be like this? Let (Y/N) enjoy her night. They seem to really like each other.”

Tony shook his head, keeping his eyes on the two teenagers from the bush they were hiding behind, “I don’t care. She’s not ready to start dating.”

“Or, maybe you’re not ready to let her start dating?”

Tony blinked, looking over at Natasha, “What?”

She smirked slightly, “You don’t want her growing up, do you?”

“No. I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“I’m back. Here, Nat. No corn dogs, sorry. You didn’t want any, right, Tony?” Clint handed Natasha her hot dog and crouched down beside them.

Tony didn’t answer.

Clint raised an eyebrow, “Cat got your tongue?”

Nat took a bite of her hot dog then wiped her mouth with her sleeve, “I think Tony doesn’t want (Y/N) to grow up.”

Clint smirked, “Ah, now it all makes sense.”

Tony sighed, “Okay, fine. Maybe you’re right.”

Nat put her hand on Tony’s shoulder, “She’ll always be your little girl, Tony.”

Tony chuckled, “Yeah, but she’s not so little anymore. It’s tough, sometimes. In two years, she’ll be old enough to live her life on her own. I don’t know if I’m prepared for that.”

Clint smirked, “If you can handle robot armies, you can handle your kid growing up.”

“Well, kids and robots are two very different things. But, I guess I have no choice.” Tony looked up to see the two teenagers with their hands intertwined.

He smiled, “We’re done here. Let’s go.”

About half an hour later, you came walking through the front doors of the Tower with a huge smile on your face.

You entered the elevator, “To my room, JARVIS.”

Right away, Miss Stark.”

After a few minutes, you had arrived on your floor. The elevator doors opened, and you were surprised to see your dad standing there.

“Hey, Dad.”

Tony pulled you into a hug, “Hey, hon. How was your date?”

You blushed, remembering the good night you had with Peter. “Well, this is definitely not going to be the last date.”

Tony smirked, “Ah, so are you two a thing now?”

You grinned, “I’d say so. But, don’t worry. He didn’t kiss me. Well, he kissed my hand, but that’s it.”

Tony smiled, placing his hand on your head, “Well, I’m glad you had a good night. Parker’s a good kid.”

You nodded, “Yeah, he is. I’m going to bed now.” You gave your dad another hug, “I love you, Dad.”

Tony hugged you back, kissing the top of your head, “I love you, too.”

You pulled away then smirked, “You left earlier than I thought.”

Your dad raised an eyebrow, “What are you talking about?”

You placed your hands on your hips, “You really thought I wouldn’t notice?”

Tony looked down at you, “You know?”

“Yup. I saw your car when we left the diner. Come on, Dad. Did you really think I wouldn’t recognize one of your cars?”

Tony sighed, “Why must you be so smart?”

“I’m your daughter. That’s why. Did you really have to spy on us?”

Tony placed his arm around you, “I’m sorry, (Y/N). I guess it’s just hard for me seeing my little girl grow up.”

You smiled, leaning into your father, “I know, Dad. But, it’s going to happen eventually. But, no matter how old I get, I’ll always be your daughter. Nothing will ever change that.”

“I know that now.”

Solangelo pda/first instances of pda headcanons (Nico shocking their friends by being affectionate for the first time lmao)

  • contrary to what just about everyone believes, nico doesn’t mind being touched
    • unless he’s in a bad mood, feeling threatened, or just doesn’t like the person trying to touch him. on the slim chance that none of that is the case, he will be affectionate in some way
  • it took a super long time after he and will started dating for nico to feel comfortable enough to even be within six inches of will (because that’s fighting distance that’s a dangerous distance) but after the first time he held will’s hand, it was like the floodgates opened
  • nico is actually incredibly touch starved and will literally sap all of the affection out of will’s body through holding his hand
  • since nico and will got together in the winter months, when everyone returned the following summer, they were all,,,, shocked?? and amazed??? bc nico looked so happy
  • but then they get uncomfortable almost bc nico is so affectionate??? and nobody seems bothered except for nico’s closest friends like did everyone know that nico was like this but them???
    • like a few months ago nico would practically hiss at someone if they so much as put a hand on his shoulder but him and will totally just made out on the steps of the Hades cabin?? in broad daylight????
  • but like seriously out in public nico will hold will’s hand and not let go and if he gets bored or tired he’ll just lean against will whether he’s sitting or standing or whatever he’s just literally always touching will somehow ok and everybody’s kinda weirded out about it but they’re also all too afraid to say anything about it

thanks for the suggestion, i hope this was what you were looking for!

For example, one time Miller messaged him at half one in the morning asking him if he knew where he could find breadfruit because it was ‘super important’. Another time Murphy sent him the entire Bee movie script, which resulted in his number being blocked for at least a month.

Honestly, those aren’t even the worst of it.

Tonight, he’s decided to stay home, so he’s expecting the usual barrage of texts, as well as a slurred phone call around 1am from someone asking if they can either crash on his couch, or for a drop home.

Sometime after nine, his phone buzzes, and he’s halfway through getting ready to tell Octavia that no, he can’t spare a few hours to come hang when he has a veritable mountain of grading to trudge through, but stops short when he sees that it’s Clarke.

[9:24pm] Clarke: are giving blowjobs like riding a bike???

[9:24pm] Clarke: as in, you never forget how to do it no matter how long it’s been??

His phone doesn’t quite slip out of his hand when he reads it, but comes startlingly close to, and he finds himself fumbling to keep it within his grip, accidentally opening his camera in the process. Meanwhile, the pen cap he was gnawing on while marking essays falls out of his mouth.

The text is still there by the time he rights himself and gets back to his messages, and he fucking pinches himself to make sure he’s not dreaming.

Finally, he manages to gather his bearings long enough to type back,

[9:28pm] Bellamy: How the fuck am I supposed to know???

He’s still staring dumbfounded at his phone, trying to wrap his around all of this, by the time she replies, sending several texts in quick succession.

[9:30pm] Clarke: because you’re the only other mga person in our friend group

[9:30pm] Clarke: well, besides raven, but she only ever dated guys before luna and idk luna that well to ask her about this

[9:30pm] Clarke: but you’ve only hooked up with girls for a while before hooking up with a guy right?

[9:30pm] Clarke: so like, was it hard??

[9:30pm] Clarke: pun intended lmao

  • The first time Jim finds Joanna on the bridge of the Enterprise is when she’s barely 10. It’s her first time on board, and she slipped away from her father’s office to look in the bridge instead. It’s largely empty, since they’re docked in York Town, and everyone is enjoying their time off. Except Bones, who’s always working. Jim is no different, except he gets surprisingly little done in a work day. “Hey, Jo,” he says, and Jo smiles. “Hi, Captain Kirk,” she says, and Jim huffs. “You can just say Jim, that’s enough. What are you doing here?” “I wanted to see the Bridge,” Joanna says, “I’m going to work here some day, so I wanted to see it.” “Really?” Jim asks, “what do you want to be?” “Captain,” Joanna replies, “or a pilot.” “Bones hates both of those,” Jim says, “good choice. You want to sit in the chair?” He barely finishes his sentence, and Joanna is in the chair. She almost presses the buttons there, looking at Jim for permission, and Jim simply shrugs in response. After all, what’s the worst that could happen?
  • Two months later, he still can’t open a Comms channel without duck noises echoing through the corridors. Whatever Joanna did to his chair, she’s a very good prankster.
  • The second time they’re on the bridge is 2 years later. He’s about to lock down the Bridge for the night, but then he hears those quiet sniffles, and he finds Joanna under Chekov’s desk. “Hey,” Jim says, crouching down in front of her, “what’s the matter, Jo-Jo?” “I’m staying here,” she replies, and Jim frowns. “What do you mean? It’s not a comfortable floor to sleep on, and no one will be here til morning.” “I don’t want to go back to York Town. School sucks, and dad will be gone for years.” “We’ll be back in York Town as often as we can,” Jim says, sitting down next to her, “and I’ll keep an eye on your daddy for you.” Joanna huffs at that, but Jim reaches out a hand to her. “C'mon,” he says, “lets sit in the chair and pretend we’re fighting Klingons.” “You’re so lame, Jim.”
  • When Joanna is 14, Jim is no longer just Jim. Not to her. He’s the cool uncle, without even really being an uncle. Hes more of a stepdad. Dad’s boyfriend. The one who rides motorcycles and takes Joanna with him despite Bones telling him not to, but uncle Jim has a nicer ring to it (and she flat out refuses to call him dad). They see each other on the bridge, but this time on more formal circumstances. Jim agreed to let school kids roam the ship so they can have a tour, and it just so happens to be Joanna’s class. “Hi, Uncle Jim,” Joanna calls out to him when her group makes it to the bridge. She looks a little smug at the other kids, who are perplexed to find out that Jo’s “Uncle Jim” is actually Jim Kirk. She’s definitely bragging, and Jim let’s her. “Hey, Jo, want to sit in the chair again?”
  • “Why are we here?” Bones asks Jim, “we’re on the bridge every god damn day, let’s enjoy a bar on the plaza!” “But look at the view,” Jim says, pulling Bones towards the window, and they overlook the plaza together. Kind of. The docking stations don’t have the greatest views at all. “You have a penthouse downtown,” Bones says, “with a pool on the roof garden. That’s a view. This,” he gestures outside, “barely classifies as such.” Jim laughs, arms sliding around Bones’ shoulders. “You’re a beacon of positivity, Bones.” He leans in to kiss him, but Joanna groans at the sight of that. “Gross.” “Jo,” Bones says, turning to look at the girl curled up in a blanket on Jim’s chair, “what are you doing here?” She hesitates, briefly, and then sighs. “Jackson broke up with me,“ she says. Both Jim and Bones are at her side instantly, and Joanna feels much better when the three of them settle on the floor in front of that big window. “You’ll be fine,” Bones says, running a hand through her hair and hugging her tight, “who needs a guy named Jackson anyway? And you’re going to the Academy soon. You won’t even remember him next year.” Jim’s a little less subtle. He’s on the other side of her, also holding her tight, but instead of sugarcoating things, he looks at her, dead serious; “want me to punch him in the face?”
  • It’s become a habit by now. There’s at least one night he finds Joanna sneaking on to the Bridge, looking out at the terminals into York Town plaza. She’s seventeen now, and looks so much like her father, it’s almost eerie. “Hey,” Jim says, walking over to the window to stand next to her. “I got accepted,” Joanna says, turning to look at Jim with the biggest grin on her face, “I’m gonna go to the Academy next month.” “That’s great!” Jim says, pulling her into a hug, “why are you here, then? You should be celebrating!” “I’m worried dad’s gonna be disappointed, since I’m not in medical.” “Are you crazy? Bones is going to be proud no matter what you choose to do in life,” he says, “come, let’s go celebrate, the three of us.” “Can I sit in the chair for a bit, first?” “Fine,” Jim says, “but for the love of God, don’t change the sounds.”
  • “Seriously, Jim, I’m going to diagnose you a workaholic or something. And still you get no work done!” Bones tells Jim when they’re on the bridge. York Town is quiet this time at night, only a few people still stroll the plaza from what they can see. “This is just our little spot, you know?” Jim says, and Bones huffs. “No, I don’t know. Are you okay? You seem more jittery than usual.” “Hmm,” Jim replies simply, and then; “ I was just thinking, you know? We’re also not getting any younger-” “Yeah, you’re greying,” Bones interrupts him, and Jim briefly relaxes when he feels Bones’ hands through his hair. But then he narrows his eyes. “What do you mean? No I’m not. It’s summer blond, just lighter than usual.” “What summer? We spend most of our days in deep space!” “Shut up, oh my God. Why do I want to marry you?” He groans, and Bones tenses instantly. “What?” Shit. “What?” Jim repeats, throwing Bones a nervous smile, “is that bad?” “As far as proposals go,” Bones says, “this one is pretty terrible.” “Oh my God,” Joanna calls out from the chair, loud enough to startle both of them, “you guys suck, get on with it. I didn’t spend the last few weeks looking at rings with Jim for such a lame proposal.”
  • Sulu’s temporary resignation is a pretty big blow. He’s leaving to spend time with Ben and Demora, taking a year to explore different planets and enjoy each other’s company before they’re too old to do so, and before Demora leaves for the Academy. Jim understands, but it still sucks. He’s learned to blindly rely on Sulu’s skills and presence, and Sulu is one of his best friends . He’ll miss him dearly. Jim sits in the captain’s chair quietly, looking up when the doors slide open. “Sup, Uncle Jim,” Joanna’s voice rings, and Jim smiles. “Hey, Jo-Jo. What are you doing here? We’re about to take off,” Jim says, and Joanna huffs. “Dad was right, you are terrible at reading reports.” “Hey,” Jim says, “this is your other dad you’re talking about. A little respect is due after so long.” “I’m the new pilot,” Joanna says, and now that Jim takes the time to look at the girl who walks towards the window. Command gold t-shirt, because she refuses to wear dresses. “You’re going into deep space with us,” Jim says, a small grin on his lips, “oh, your dad’s gonna love this.”

a special friend of mine really likes the idea of roller disco!jimin so here he is~

  • is the most famous disco skater in town,,,like if you say his name everyone in the rooms like of course we know him, he knows how to boogie!
  • and jimin,,,,,,although he’s basically infamous,,,,is still as shy and polite as they come
  • holding up doors for old ladies and getting red when someone pays him a compliment
  • but when he’s skating,,,,to music,,,,,,,it’s like he’s completely different person
  • with his high-waisted corduroy’s, shimmery long shirts, and scarves,,,,,like he’s a boy to die for,,,,,,,
  • hoseok’s always saying “doesn’t jimin have a body like a brick house!” and jimin is like heY ,,,, dont make me all embarrassed and hoseok is like sorry cat but it’s true!! the ladies lo-
  • yoongi: hoseok if u dont shut ur damn trap we’re gonna have to book it down the hall when the principal hears you
  • and when he comes to the rink everyone’s always egging him on to dance,,,,asking the DJ to play a kool & the gang song and going “c’mon jimmy do us a solid and show us your moves!”
  • jimin seems a little flustered,,but the second the song is on he’s ready and the entire place can’t help to start dancing when he does because he just makes it look so damn addictive
  • and you know jimin,,,,,,,it’s hard not to, but you don’t expect that once you get a job at the roller rink that you’re going to become the apple of jimin’s eye (but you do hehe)
  • because the minute you start working concession there on the weekends,,,,jimin cannot stop looking at you
  • you don’t notice it much,,, because you’re busy with serving soda and snacks to rowdy teenagers and lovestruck couples
  • but everyone else can see it,,,,,,,especially jimin’s buddies who keep nudging him and telling him to go over and talk to you
  • but also,,,,,jimin stops skating
  • because he ends up sitting across the rink daydreaming about you,,,,with your nice hair and sparkling eyes and,,,,,,,all around cute personality
  • jungkook once plays a trick and goes over to get some food only to come back and be like “told them you were digging them jimin, go over there and get their number you fry!”
  • jimin had bolted upright and almost tripped over his skates because no no nO jungkook you didn’t?????
  • jungkook, shoving his face full of fries was like “pSYCHE, but you should have seen the look on your face!!! seriously though, they seem cool go talk to them”
  • jimin just sits back down, shaking his head,,,,,,everyone sighing and trying to get him to at least get in the rink and skate
  • but he’s,,,,,,entranced by you,,,,,,,,,
  • jin: don’t you think this is too much
  • taehyung: right on,,,,,but what can we do?
  • you,,,,obliviously keep doing your job until you notice something seems off the last couple of days
  • people,,,,,aren’t having as much fun,,,,,,,,,and you ask the manager to switch up the music but he claims he’s playing all the best hits but then what is it?????
  • that’s when you spot jimin,,,,leaning against the rink,,,,,,but not dancing or skating
  • frowning, you get your own skates on and skate across the rink, tapping him on the shoulder
  • turning around, jimin nearly chokes on his words when he sees you up close and you’re like “this place is a drag, we need your moves!”
  • jimin feels the heat rise to his face and he’s like “,,,,thanks,,,but i,,,,,,just wanna hang loose till the others-”
  • you pull his hand and slowly jimin stands up with a confused look on his face and you’re like “c’mon, the tunes aren’t too bad - let me see you work that magic!”
  • jimin blinks,,,,pretty sure his entire face goes red and he’s like “i,,,,this song-”
  • you yell out of your shoulder “play some MJ!” and grinning back at jimin you motion for him to start
  • the song blares through the rink and bored looking teenagers start to move,,,,just a bit and jimin wants to say something but,,,,the music,,,,,,,,,
  • and soon enough you see him, fluid like water, dancing around the rink doing twirls and moves you thought weren’t possible on skates
  • and he’s dancing circles around you, making you grin under the turning neon lights of the rink
  • and around you other couples and teens are dancing too
  • jimin reaches out and you take his hand, the two of you spinning on your skates and grinning at each other
  • when the song ends,,,,you look at jimin and you’re like “groovy, let’s do it again!”
  • jimin nods and pulls you closer this time,,,,stuttering out a “is this ok??”
  • you move his hands to be on your hips and smile even wider
  • “it’s better than ok, it’s slammin’!”
  • as you and jimin dance around the rink hoseok skates by too and goes
  • “i think im looking at disco royalty, you two are super cute!”
  • blushing jimin tries to reach out and grab him, but you pull jimin back over to you and kiss the tip of his nose making him almost lose his footing as you wink and skate toward the center of the rink
  • and jimin thinks,,,,this is what all those disco love songs are about - this feeling right here hehe
Venus as a Boy

Do you ever think about all the different kinds of guys out there? I thought maybe it would help my followers who have a hard time figuring out their type; people who just don’t know what they want in a guy. I will make a girl one later as well.
I wanted to make a post about men and their Venus signs; how they are romantically.
The information I’ve gathered is based off real interpretations as well as friends I’ve studied with these Venus signs so here we go (keep in mind that these aren’t afflicted by other forces. Somewhat pure and complimentary forms of the Venus signs)

Venus Signs in Men

Venus in Aries

Playfully teasing, he might say things like, “I know you want me.” You find his immaturity somewhat charming because deep down you know he needs you more versus you needing him like he makes it out to be. He is addicted to your love. He wants to be listened to, but you may need to teach him to listen to you sometimes. Dates are spontaneous and often fill the whole day; he might start it off with something active, yet romantic like skating. Then go eat at his favourite restaurant, maybe settle into the night with comfortable clothes and a movie. He might even suddenly get you up again at midnight to go star gazing! He wants to take on every day with you fresh and playfully.

Venus in Taurus

Every second he is with you, he has to feel you and have his arms wrapped around you. The perfect date to him would be either going to a restaurant or making you dinner, give each other a good massage, enjoy a bath, and then just cuddle. Comfort is very important to him, he wants you to feel comfortable at all times; he never wants to push you. He doesn’t find high energy activities to be as fun as other people think, he would rather just sit together and enjoy each others company. He wants you to know that you can depend on him and he won’t turn around and change on you.

Venus in Gemini

He’s charming and witty. In his company he just wants to see you laugh and smile which he seems to make you do so effortlessly. I hope you enjoy a talker, because he can go on and on about just about anything. Things are hardly taken seriously, everyday has to be fun, care-free, and spontaneous. Social activities excite him so expect lots of coffee dates, parties, movie nights, and video games. You’ll know he’s comfortable with you once he starts inviting you to family get-togethers; he loves his family and he loves you!

Venus in Cancer

He is a sentimental lover, his eyes well up and his heart flutters when his mind focuses on you. He is sensitive/receptive to your thoughts and feelings, he knows when something’s up. He is the type of guy to show up with your favourite things on your off days. He will be extremely protective of your feelings as well as his own. He prefers for you do make first moves because he doesn’t want to overstep his boundaries. He will definitely want to do some family oriented activities with you; the closer he gets you to his family, the more he appreciates your company and wants you apart of it. He is definitely what you would consider the sweet and sensitive type!

Venus in Leo

His love is indeed dramatic and passionate, he could practically break out into song about you. He has it all envisioned in his mind, a happily ever after with you. Every single moment, good or bad, is taken to heart. For someone who is as fiery as he is, he does wear his heart on his sleeve; he isn’t afraid to show you exactly how he’s feeling. Dates have to be high energy and exciting; prehaps a beach day, a concert, or a show would satisfy the need for sharing excitement with his lover. If you want your everlasting days to feel like you are being spun round and round like Jack and Rose, he’s your prince.

Venus in Virgo

He remembers your favourite colour, favourite meal, the way you bite your lips when you’re nervous, how you prefer sunrises over sunsets, he remembers the small things .Taking care of you and listening to you is number one, he wants you to feel comfortable at all times. He’s insecure and a little nervous around you because he cannot believe he has you. He strongly desires to serve you and finds every way to make you love him more. He is bound to take you out some where nice and pull the seat out for you like a gentleman.

Venus in Libra

He is extremely smooth with everything; the way he walks, the way he talks, the way presents himself to you. Even the way he looks at things, it’s alluring. He sees the beauty in things; he sees the beauty in you. He is the type of guy that will write you a poem or sing you a song so effortlessly; it makes you wonder how sincere it was. The sincerity is definitely there though, he’s inspired by you. He treasures love expressed through words and sharing so a perfect date to him would be going out one on one at a restaurant or just relaxing just about anywhere, a park or coffee shop maybe?

Venus in Scorpio

His love runs deep and intense. You become his obsession, he wants to feel not only you, but your soul. He’s easily jealous when you’re around other guys. His desire is not to control you, but he definitely watches your every move. Mutual trust is held at the highest octave for him, he loves to be able to tell you anything without worrying. The perfect date to him could be checking out quirky shops and cafes. He has a dark an alluring energy to him as if he’s a vampire or something. You will be endlessly curious about this mysterious side to him that you’re so attracted to.

Venus in Sagittarius

His contagious laugh and interesting stories to tell is what draws you in. You also can’t help but find it adorable how he’s so good with animals. His lust to travel with you sparks his being. He wants to see the world, with you. Whether he’s the athletic type or not, dates must be adventurous in some way. Maybe hiking or going to some sort of museum or zoo would fit the ideal date to him. This is the type of guy who will constantly encourage you to achieve your dreams more than other people would. He wants to see your life at its fullest. He also wants you to know that he is a lover and best friend

Venus in Capricorn

Your his princess and a princess deserves royalty! He comes off as serious and maybe even a little shy, so expressing how much he means to you may come from the small things like surprising you with coffee. Fully confessing his love to you may take a little time, but when he finally shows you, it will be extremely sincere and special. Showing his prized possession off is also very important to him so expect to be invited out to all of his very important affairs. The ideal date may include shopping and dining at fancy restaurants. Occasionally he’s going to surprise his princess with luxurious gifts!

Venus in Aquarius

Definitely not the type to want everything to constantly be lovey-dovey. He likes air to breathe, he wants to have everything just laid back. Not everything has to be serious, things can be as if your friends, but with the occasional romantic gestures. He is the type to stir up deep conversations on just about anything like, “Do you think aliens exist?” or “How are we as humans affecting our world right now?” He’s quite eccentric and uniquely opinionated. He wants to pass on his care-free personality to his lover because who cares about tomorrow? We are us now. The perfect date to him is definitely going to be something out of the ordinary so be prepared for anything! Also be prepared to have a long discussion about it afterwards.

Venus in Pisces

Very sensitive and compassionate lover. He craves a deep connection with his partner and picks up emotional cues very easily. He definitely enjoys a partner where he can drink in the world with them, gaze at horizons and stars together. Often he will express his wishful thinking and humour to you to get everyone’s mind off of life’s troubles. He prefers the simple things in life over the luxurious things so a perfect date to him would include camping, picnics, going for walks, or simply just napping together. Get lost in each other’s eyes, get lost in each others dreams!

Spencer Reid x Reader

You’d seen him almost every morning for the past twelve weeks on the way to and from work. You assumed he lived in the same direction as you as he was always on bus into the city in the morning when you got on, and stayed on it after you got off.

Occasionally he wasn’t on the bus and you always wondered why. Was he ill or on vacation, did he work away?

Maybe one day you’d ask him.

More than likely not. You’d just settle for admiring him from afar.

You looked forward to seeing him, even if you didn’t ever speak to him. He was pretty. Dark brown hair that was perpetually messy, hazel eyes, and a jaw bone you were fairly certain you could cut glass on. He was by far one of the most attractive men you’d seen in real life.

He almost always had a book with him, a different one every time, and you wondered how the hell he got through them so quickly. You bought books with you too but it took you three to four days to finish one. Whereas it seemed to take him less than a day, the book he was reading on the way home often different to the one he had in the morning. He was either a super quick speed reader, or he had a super short attention span and got bored with the story line easily.

Today was cold and the bus was packed. You’d spotted him at the front of the bus, one empty seat across the aisle from him. You took it, seeing him glance up at you and smile shyly. You smiled back and sat down, tugging your ear buds out and shoving them into your bag. You didn’t mind listening to music on the train but you always turned it off when you got on the bus for some reason.

Four stops away from yours, a heavily pregnant woman boarded and looked around for a seat. No one moved to offer their’s up, everyone avoiding eye contact.

You sighed and went to stand up, catching her eye and motioning to your chair. She smile gratefully and made her way towards you.

The man opposite you looked up from the book his nose was buried in and frowned, seeing you exchanging your seat with the woman. He went to stand.

“Here, have mine instead,” he offered.

“No no no. It’s fine. She can take mine. I’m up now.”

You moved out of the way, the woman thanking you and sitting down. The bus began to move again.

“Well at least have my seat then. I’ll stand.” He rose from his seat and you saw that he was almost a foot taller than you.

“Seriously it’s fine. I get off in three stops anyway and you’re always on here after me. Sit back down. It’s okay.” You smiled at him in assurance and after a moment or two, he reseated himself.

You gripped the pole next to where he was sat, holding on tight. You hated standing up on public transport but you weren’t about to make a pregnant woman stand and you didn’t want to take his seat, even though he’d offered.

You watched him push a lock of his hair back behind his ear, closing his book and putting it back in his messenger bag.

The bus stopped suddenly, jerking you and making you stumble, knocking his head with your bag as you clung onto the pole trying to keep your balance. You were too short to easily reach the overhead strap.

“Shit. I’m so sorry!”

“It’s fine. I’m okay. I have a hard head.”

Two more passengers got on the already crowed bus and it set off again. At the next stop, the bus jerked again. This time, you lost your balance completely and wound up on the attractive man’s lap.

Your eyes widened and you scrambled to get off, his own face shocked at the stranger he now had sitting on his knee.

“Fuckity fuck. Shit. Fuck!” you pulled yourself upright again, bright red with embarrassment, his own cheeks flushed.

“I didn’t mean to… I’m sorry!”

He started to chuckle, amused rather than angry.

“Are you sure you don’t want my seat? You seem pretty desperate to get in it.”

You laughed back at him, your embarrsment subsiding slightly.

“I’m sure. I’m just clumsy. One more stop anyway.”

The next stop came and you were seriously considering complaining to the transport agency about this drivers breaking. Again you were sent stumbling into the man’s lap, frantically grabbing at the pole to pull yourself up so you could get off the bus and get home, ready to research a new way of getting to work so you would never have to see this man again. So far today you’d hit him with your bag, and landed in his lap twice.

He was trying to help you but your bag had landed awkwardly and had somehow tangled with the straps of his. By the time you were upright and able to start moving, the bus had pulled off.

“Balls,” you sighed.

“That was your stop wasn’t it?” he asked you.

You nodded in response, moving to pull yourself off his knee where you still were.

He put his arm out, stopping you.

“Listen, just stay put. It’s probably safer that way. The next stop is mine anyway so we can get off together. I don’t want you falling into me again and making me miss mine too,” he grinned at you, and you couldn’t help but smile back.

He had such a nice smile, wide and happy with straight white teeth. His eyes sparkled when he grinned, making his handsome face even more beautiful.

“I’m Spencer,” he introduced himself.

“Y/N. I’d offer you my hand, but I figure we’re kinda beyond that now right?”

“Well you are sitting on my knee. I guess we are. Right, the stop’s coming up. Think you can handle walking down the aisle without falling over?”

“Who knows. I’ll probably still manage to fall into you or something. You might just wanna wait for a few moments and walk a few paces behind me.”

“You might be right there,” he replied, teasing you.

The bus stopped again and you hauled yourself up, rushing down the aisle and shooting the driving a filthy look as you got off. He wasn’t the usual driver and you blamed him for your embarrassment.

“Y/N… Wait.”

Spencer called after you and you haulted in your tracks, turning towards him.

“Erm… Do you have far to walk?” he asked, looking down at his feet nervously.

“Nah, I’m only five blocks out. The exercise will probably do me good. I’m really sorry by the way.”

“It really is okay… Listen… Erm….. You like coffee right? I see you with a Starbucks cup most mornings,” he was still shuffling his feet, not really making eye contact.

“I live on coffee. I swear I probably pay the manager’s wages single handedly with the amount I spend in there.”

“Would you…. Erm… Would you like to get a coffee with me sometime, maybe?”

He was asking you out?

He was asking you out!

“Really? You wanna get coffee with me?” You were totally surprised. This guy was way out of your league. Yet here he was, stuttering slightly and stumbling over his words.

“Only if you w-want to… It’s okay if you don’t… I understand,” he finally met your gaze, rejection already set in his face.

“Do you wanna go now? I kinda owe you one.”

“Really?”

“Sure. You can tell me how you manage to get through so many books…. ”

“You notice that I read?” he seemed totally surprised.

“Yes. It’s hard not to notice you. You’re kinda the best thing about my journey.”

He blushed before replying, “You’re kinda the best thing about mine too.”

You both smiled shyly at each other, before you decided to take the intitate and reach for his hand.

“Coffee shop’s this way.”

Boyfriend! Jaebum

  • Jaebum is famous in the college campus as the hot b-boy who seems rough and hard to approach, but girls just can’t seem to take their eyes off of him.
  • he likes wearing black and ripped jeans when he’s not in his comfortable loose fitting dancing clothes.
  • has a part-time job at the coffee shop nearby the campus so that place is  mostly busy when his shift starts.
  • you met him at the shop because you like to people watch.
  • little did you know, there’s a person watching you from the inside..yes that’s Jaebum.
  • He does subtle flirting when you order everyday; remain intense eye contact, smirk when you stumble on your order, repeat your name multiple times when writing your name on the cup..out loud, somehow whenever you look up he’s always making eye contact..
  • you actually never met him on campus before and just nicknamed him coffee boy because for some reason he doesn’t have a nametag??
  • he always forget to put on the name tag and also too lazy.
  • finally met you at the campus when the school had music festival and this time you were the vendor and he was hanging out with his loud friend who you believe was named jackson.
  • still making very intense eye contact at you with that killer smile.
  • as cliche as this sounds, but he ask for your number on the coffee cup the next day when you went to the shop.
  • you said yes and the rest is history.
