“Okay look, I know I have royal duties to attend to Ignis, but rescuing the Chocobos comes first.”

stherix  asked:

I'm very interest in the gifs you're reblogging, what's the name of the show?

Hello, friend, you are just the sort of person I want to hear from right now.
The show is called Timeless, and here is the trailer:

There is also this other cool promo. You don’t have to watch it. I just think it’s really fun with all the effects and transitions:

I watched the trailer and sort of fell in love instantly……… with the villain antagonist character and his potential interactions and relationship with the heroine. (WHICH have not let me down, btw. They have, in fact, lifted me up and added five years to my life span.)

Timeless is airing now on NBC. There have been 11 episodes so far with 5 more left in the season. And the reason that inquiring people like you are a such a beautiful gem is because the show is a little on the fence right now. We’re really hoping for a second season and need as many people as possible on board to boost ratings. It’s a great show with amazing acting, sets, and writing that just gets better as it goes. Please don’t let a possible threat of cancellation deter you. It is my opinion, where Timeless in concerned, that it is truly better to have loved and lost.

The premise is super fun as they go to many different periods in time ranging (so far) from 1754 to an upcoming episode taking place in the 1980s. All of the actors and people involved go on about how much they love it because each episode is almost like its own movie with different events and environments. And it really is. You’ve got the Hindenburg, the Lincoln assassination, the Alamo, Watergate, the American Revolution. Not to mention historical figures like Bonnie and Clyde, Katherine Johnson, Houdini, Benedict Arnold, etc. Every episode it’s new and beautiful sets. It’s gorgeous, period costumes so the time traveling characters fit in. And it’s a little mystery trying to figure out what in the world they are doing there. lol. Plus, if you like three-dimensional villains, the villain antagonist from Timeless is the embodiment of the saying, “Every villain is the hero in his own mind.” He has such understandable motives and is not 100% bad. Always a plus to me.

But also the series is not afraid to address “unpleasant” issues. As shown in the trailer, one of the time traveling characters is black. Another is a woman. And quite often they do not have an easy time because of it. So it’s really great that Timeless not only has a diverse team but also takes the time to present a realistic image of what their experience would be like. And it’s also nice to look back and see how far we’ve come. A+

So! If you are interested, all episodes are on Hulu right now. And NBC’s website. (Some episodes on their site need a cable subscription to watch, BUT the first three episodes are FREE!)

Anyone willing to give Timeless a try and help ratings will have my express gratitude and love. ♥

So first I get an update on “A Dance of Titans” yesterday (which was fantastic I was in heaven) from @thelucidlucy.

Then today, I get an update on “Overnight Sensation” by @greyjedireylo, “Dear Porcupine” by @judaas, AND @darth-ej updated “Demonology 101”.

This snowstorm has spoiled me with updates on some of my absolute fav Reylo fics. I’m so happy rn

Omg I just realized

So after ep5, it’s easy to conclude that Lucy is, in fact, a little shit, and more AI-ish than straight programming because favouritism is not an algorithm.

And we’ve been told that John and Dutch met when he tried to steal Dutch’s ship.

And now all I can think is that Lucy was less “stolen” by John and more “ran away” with John and I’m picturing Dutch watching unimpressed as her ship just saunters/glides away from the docks an dI can’t stop laughing.

Do you think that before Flynn stole the mothership he tracked Lucy down at all? I'm sure he would have been curious about the mysterious professor who wrote his journal-from-the-future. So I can picture him finding her at her university and attending one of her lectures or something. What are your thoughts?

Oh, my god, Anon. My thoughts are I have had these EXACT THOUGHTS!

He DEFINITELY looked her up before the series starts! No doubt. None. Erase all doubt from your mind. We don’t know the degree of it. Maybe Flynn searched online for information about her. Maybe he read one of her books (a history book– not the sad, handwritten one). Maybe, yes, he even sat in the back of at least one lecture. We don’t know how far he went researching her (he’s an intelligence gathering special agent and this could actually be quite in depth– he has her tax returns), but we do know that Flynn looked Lucy up in the present day before setting his plan in motion.

And it all sounds like an interesting little possibility and fan theory, one more connection Flynn and Lucy have before even meeting face to face, but the logical part of our brain is still like, “Proof?”

How about the fact that, in the Pilot, he knew what she looked like? Yeah. Once you realize Flynn picked her out of a frantic crowd at night in front of an explosion, it hits you: “How did he know her face?” Lucy can write her entire life story in that journal. Flynn can know her mind as well as she knows herself. But unless Lucy included a photograph, he would not know her to see her. He’d pass her on the street. Conclusion: either through research or because he staked her out (attended one of her classes), Flynn was familiar with what Lucy looked like prior to meeting her in 1937.

Now, you can argue the above. You could say that one brief, mid-episode snippet is the real first time Flynn sees her. The part when he’s watching the three be arrested after he called in that tip on them.

BUT! he is very, very far away. And he’s not even the one looking through the binoculars when it happens.

He certainly can’t make out her face. And would he really approach her later with his biggest identifier being that she had on a brown coat? Why would he WANT to leave it up to chance? Why would he risk not knowing what Lucy looks like before going into the past where he knows he’s going to run into her? I really don’t think he would.

Also (just mentioning) Flynn’s guy that Wyatt kills in the hangar knew who Lucy was, and I’m not sure what to make of it. Flynn did brief his men about her though. We know that. Because after realizing who she was (whether because Flynn passed around a picture of her or because he said she’d be the woman following them), the man said, “Flynn wants to talk to you.” So Flynn made certain his men knew who Lucy was and that, if found, she should be brought to him, presumably unharmed.

I really think it makes sense that Flynn looked her up beforehand. It makes more sense than him not doing it. Checking up on Lucy just fits Flynn’s character. Not only for curiosity’s sake, but because Flynn won’t be caught unaware again. After Rittenhouse and his family, Flynn researches, he double-checks. The man has become obsessively prepared. It’s like a compulsion he now has. He needs that sense of control so much he doesn’t even delegate unless he has to. He trusts no one. He does everything himself. He’s paranoid something will go wrong. So many episodes, he has to check the journal before allowing himself to act. Even in 1.12, he pulled it out and studied the drawing before approaching Emma’s cabin. He looks before he leaps, and you can’t tell me that doesn’t include investigating Lucy before thrusting them into the situation where they meet. He would want to know her first, familiarize himself a little better.

So yes, he looked her up before stealing the Mothership. Fight me.

A bit late for OC appreciation day (and fave artist appreciation day), but I’ve finally made my contribution to the Fugue Feast! Here’s a comic strip with carvedwhalebones‘s OC Aleks and my OC Jess, because I JUST LOVE HIM SO MUCH and these two hating on each other is the best. <3

And shoutout to negativevalence for being my English teacher and helping me with the lines <3

In defense of Gray and Lucy’s brotp.

When did ships got more important than the friendships in Fairy Tail? I was going to drop the topic with my last post, but I didn’t stop seeing posts of people complaining about this scene:

I was talking with my sis, worshiperofunknownstories , and after we saw a lot of people misunderstanding this scene, both of us dicussed it and we agreed that when we read this scene, the first thing we thought was that Gray, after all the shit he had been through, WAS FINALLY SMILING AND JOKING AROUND WITH HIS FRIENDS. Hell, he lost his father in the most traumatizing way and, after living with Juvia for half a year, he’s finally smiling. And my sis is the person of my group of friends that ships Gruvia the most and we gave her the character of Juvia so, it must mean something.

The second point I wanted to say is that, if you interpret this as “Gray is a jerk, because while Juvia is lying in bed he’s flirting with Lucy”, in my own opinion (I don’t want to annoy anyone) you don’t understand Gray Fullbuster as a character. First of all, he doesn’t know the current situation of Juvia (he wasn’t able to contact her while he was on the mission, because of the fact that that would be too risky and would surely blow his cover). Last, we know that Gray and Lucy tease each other in a friendly way, and they do it since the first moment

(Gif belongs to starsnstorms )

But we all have our guy friends and we all joke and tease each other like that without being in a romantic relationship. Gray and Lucy are the same (well, except if you are a Graylu shipper, in that case I respect your reasons why you see their relationship in that way, even if since day one I saw them as a precious brotp).

Like I said in the other post, I love their friendship as much as the other on ‘Team Natsu’ and their brotp deserves more love, instead of people complaining about ‘Lucy getting in the way’ or ‘Gray not caring about Juvia’s feelings’ (and, as I said before, myself I’m a hardcore Gruvia shipper and my sis is the biggest Gruvia shipper on my group of friends and we share the same opinion. You can read/watch Fairy Tail for your own reasons, but to me it doesn’t feel right if we forget about the precious friendships between our favourite characters because of the shipping. After all, I see Fairy Tail as a story about friendships and how supporting each other we can achieve our goals.
