This is a bit of an exaggeration, as it comes and goes and is sometimes specific to the type of food. I’ve been using plastic throw-away utensils for everything. Some utensils and pots, of course, are worse than others but no one else seems to taste it.
Do they make dishwasher safe plastic forks and spoons and butter knives?
Last year in Art class, we were made to create clay cylinders. I haven’t been able to touch clay since I was very, very young; the sensation of it makes me sick now, and the dry feeling I get afterwards is just as bad. What’s worse was that we had to add decorative raised circles to them using plaster, and the scraping noises nearly killed me.
Thankfully my art teacher is super cool so he let me wear gloves the entire time. Also, even though we’re not allowed to, I was able to wear headphones and play music. Then the student teacher helped out by letting me use her “body butter” to moisturize my hands. It was a bit oily but eh. Totally worth it.
