Stiles finds inspiration in an unexpected place that helps him finally make a move on Derek at their Senior Prom.

Thank you so much @rhysiana for keeping my tenses in order! For @chelebell (also, @pale-silver-comb I think this is something that would make you smile)

*Posting AO3 link below since tumblr response to my fic has been nil which is really discouraging, sorry for the extra step*

This was it, his last chance; it was now, or never.

“Come on, Stilinski. Come on, come one, come on! Just nut up and do it already,” Stiles admonished himself under his breath as he paced absently near the DJ table in the corner of the gymnasium where Beacon Hills High Senior Prom was in full swing. Stiles was barely aware of the crappy pop music playing from the huge speakers, or the twinkling lights that were zig-zagged across the ceiling mimicking the night sky.

The borderline over-the-top Paris theme that Lydia had insisted on was all but lost on him, though it was hard to ignore the perfectly scaled, light-up model of the Eiffel Tower that Lydia strong-armed the theater department into building for the occasion. He had spent more time than he cared to admit over the last two months helping her plan the decorations and the color scheme and the theme. The only thing keeping him from dying of boredom had been that Lydia’s idea of help amounted to not much more than nodding and telling her she was right.

“Dammit, Stiles, just–” he stopped in the middle of yelling at himself again, hands in mid air, made speechless by the sight of Derek laughing easily, head thrown back slightly and mouth drawn in a wide grin. Stiles felt his breath catch in his throat.  God, he’s so beautiful.

It had seemed like a great idea, all of them coming to prom together; the reality of it was actually torture, with Stiles and Derek the only ones not part of a couple, and Stiles pining pathetically and reading too much into every shared glance and eyeroll at their friends’ antics, every brush of their knees or shoulders or hands in the back of the limo Lydia insisted on, or at the table they’d all claimed as theirs.

“Careful, sweetie, you’ll start drooling,” Lydia said, pushing Stiles’ jaw shut with one perfectly manicured finger.

Headcanon that after Peggy Carter retired from SHIELD, she still taught self defense classes. She’d go around to battered women’s shelters, after school clubs, the senior centers, everywhere really, because she wanted everyone to be able to protect themselves.

Her classes became so legendary that new SHIELD agents just started showing up to her classes for tips. Maria met her at the community center. Natasha met her while she was teaching the girl scouts. Eventually, everyone at SHIELD learned how to properly punch from Peggy.

“I bet you hit like a girl,” a HYDRA agent taunts Sharon years later.

“Yeah, I do,” Sharon replies, smiling to herself, “I hit exactly like a girl who was the founder of SHIELD.”

And then she takes him down.

She can’t wait to tell Aunt Peggy.

I hope when you’re reading this, you’ve just come home from school and your cheeks hurt from laughing all day with our friends, and you’re wearing one of your favorite outfits, and your hair is in one of those intricate braids I always admire but I’ve never told you. I hope you’re doing the psych homework you love, and Prada is sleeping at the foot of your bed. I hope you’re listening to that one weird album you love from that band that even I didn’t know about, and your mom is cooking your favorite meal for dinner (spaghetti, no meatballs, extra mushrooms), and you’re drinking extra strong black coffee because you know you’re gonna be up all night studying. I hope you’re in your happiest state possible, and I hope you find your way back to it after all of this is said and done.

Now for the hard part. It’s 3:30 in the morning, you’re fast asleep feet away from me in my bed, but I couldn’t sleep knowing what’s coming. By the time you’re reading this, they’ve taken me. I want you to know I’m not scared. Yes, my hands are trembling like leaves in November as I’m writing this, but you know me…or maybe you don’t, but they always are. I know what’s coming for me, and I’m prepared to handle it. What I’m not prepared to handle is the thought of you worrying about me after I tell you all of this. I’m not scared, Lydia, so please don’t be scared for me.

My name is Stiles Stilinski. I live with my dad, the Sheriff of Beacon Hills. I’m a senior at Beacon Hills High School, I play lacrosse (or try to), I love Star Wars, I have a piece of shit blue Jeep that is literally held together by duct tape, and I know you like the back of my damn hand, Lydia Martin.

We have a pack. You, me, and all of the idiots I’m going to tell you about. We’ve literally been to hell and back with them. I’m praying to any God that this will help you remember what our lives really are. This group of people is our home, Lydia. Find them. Stick with them. Never let them go.

My best friend is Scott McCall. I don’t know what my evaporation has done to you two, but he’s one of your best friends as well. He is such a hero it hurts him, but he’s a better person than I could ever even attempt to be. He loves his friends, us, more than anything on this planet, and he’ll protect us unwaveringly, even if that surrenders his own safety. Sophomore year, he was bitten by a werewolf, and it flipped our world upside down. You’re part of that world.

Malia Tate. You taught her how to drive (god help her). She’s a werecoyote. She’s my…friend? Fellow pack member? Not important, what is important is that you find her. She is fiercely loyal and brave, and one of the most selfless people I know. Our pack needs her, and so do you.

Mason, Liam, and Hayden. The new creatures. They’re small, like, Scrappy Doo small, so even your short self might have to look down to find them. But when you do, you’ll be grateful, because even if they are annoying toddlers sometimes, they have been amazing additions to our pack. At the end of the day, they just needed a home like the rest of us, and they fit right in.

And then there’s you, Lydia. You’re a banshee. Your powers have kept us alive time after time, life threatening situation after life threatening situation. Maybe you know that, maybe you don’t, and maybe you’ve already thrown this letter away thinking I’m a lunatic, but somehow I know you haven’t. Because whether you remember me or not, not even something as horrific as this could erase a piece of you from my mind. Nothing could take away what I feel and know about you.

I know that you are strong beyond limits and intelligent beyond compare.I know you’ve built up walls so tall around you that you can no longer see the top of them. I know you’ve been chipping away at them for the past two years, and have so graciously let me peek in. I know that you still have a scar from where Prada bit you on your ankle. I know your favorite movie is Clueless, but you tell people it’s Moulin Rouge. I know that you’re going to win a Fields Medal someday. I know that you possess everything you need to live the life you dream of.

I feel like we didn’t get enough time. I feel like I was taken in the middle of the climax of our story. I feel that you are going to be upset after reading this. I feel like you’re going to cry, and even though you look beautiful while doing it, my heart aches picturing that. I feel a physical hole in my chest imagining myself without you. I feel that I was never meant to live without you by my side, helping me figure things out. Most of all, I feel like you’ll remember. You told me you would, and I feel like I have to believe you. You’ve never given me a reason not to.

Remember, Lydia? Remember the semi formal? Remember that giant gift I brought to your birthday party? Remember using toilet paper as tissue in my bedroom? Remember the locker room floor? Remember me fainting after we defeated the nogitsune? Remember tangling red string around your fingers on my bed night after night as we tried to untangle our lives? Remember the Jeep?

I know this letter is a mess, which is an accurate representation of me, and I’m hoping that will help rather than hurt. I know you can do this, Lydia. If there’s anything I know, it’s that you will stop at nothing to save the people you care about, no matter the consequences. And now I know I’m one of those people, and it’s my favorite fact in the world. It’s a fact that will keep me going, wherever I’m going. Even if I never go back home, I will hold onto the fact that Lydia Martin chose to care about me, out of all people on this Earth. And that will be enough.

This isn’t a goodbye letter, Lydia. This is just a piece of the puzzle I know you’ll put together. I have faith in you, always have, always will, and that faith lets me know that this is not the end of us.

see you soon,

two decades ago, this was the scene of gruesome war crimes and there are still signs all around indicating the surroundings are not yet cleared of landmines. as croatia declared its independence, local serbs captured the area with the help of the yugoslav army and nationalist volunteers from serbia, trying to cut off communication and transport between the two parts of the country. on 18 december 1991, luka modrić senior went up the hill with his cattle. he was murdered in cold blood.

luka modrić the footballer was only six at the time. as the rest of his family escaped death threats and settled as refugees in one of zadar’s large hotels, he couldn’t have conceived the horrors which were happening all around him.

“there was this boy who used to kick the ball around the hotel parking lot all day,” says nk zadar’s chairman, josip bajlo. “he was skinny and really small for his age, but you could see right away that he had that something special in him. however, none of us could have dreamed that one day he would grow to become the player he is now.”

“we were always afraid, that’s what i remember the most,” says tomislav bašić, one of modrić’s early coaches at nk zadar. “thousands of grenades, fired from the surrounding hills, fell on the training pitch in those years, and we were always racing to reach the shelter. football was our escape from reality.”

Also: note how they’re different. Lydia’s “M” is a dead giveaway this isn’t the same shelf we saw in 5x01.

Home - A Teen Wolf Imagine Series

Author: Sakura

A/N: Hey sweet people of the internet!
I have something new to read for you! It’s the beginning of a series playing either at the end of season 5b or at the beggining of season 6, I’m not really sure yet. The idea for this series came when I was talking to my friend (who I’m running this blog with) about Teen Wolf and how it would be when Jackson and Isaac would be a part of it in the new season. Somehow a few ideas plopped into my mind and I started writing. I’ve only worked on the first part so far but I’m gonna work on the next few parts in the next couple of days if you all want me to continue the series. For now it’s enough about information, but if you have any questions or would like to say anything then don’t hesitate to leave a message :) Thank you all so much for the support and for reading! Hope you enjoy this first part as much as I did writing it.

Isaac stood by the front door, the last box of clothes in his hands, while he stared back into the now almost empty appartment. He felt an ache in his heart as he was staring at the room, memories flooding back in his mind from the day he and his friend Jackson had moved in. Isaac sighed. He had so many memories of this appartment and the time with Jackson and he wasn’t so sure if he really wanted to leave, not after he had finally found a place he could call home. “You ready?” Isaac heard Jackson ask from outside. “Yeah, just give me another second,” He replied, looking back at his friend to give him a short smile. Jackson nodded impatiently and leaned against his porsche. Isaac looked back at the appartment for one last time, before he went outside where Jackson was already waiting.

“Get your shit together, dude. We’re just leaving for a few weeks not forever,” Jackson said with a smirk on his face while tapping him on the shoulder. Isaac rolled his eyes and placed the full box in the back of the car before siting on the front seat next to Jackson. “I just don’t think I’m ready to go back to Beacon Hills.” Isaac admitted with a nervous sound in his voice. Jackson started the engine and pulled out of the parking lot. “No one is ready to go back to Beacon Hills.” Jackson replied, while looking back at his friend. “She’s the only reason I’m going back you know,” Isaac said quietly while staring out of the window. “I have to tell her. I finally have to tell her how I feel about her.” He continued, thinking about his best friend (Y/N), who he had left behind when he moved to Paris with Jackson, two years ago. “Yeah, it’s about time you do that.” Jackson said with a sarcastic tone in his voice.

Isaac ignored his comment and leaned his head against the cold window glass, watching the beautiful buildings and appartments in Paris flashing past him. He loved Paris and he never would have thought that he’d ever feel so attached to a place so far away from Beacon Hills, so far away from the people he loved. But Paris made it so easy for him to start completely over and focus on himself and his life, something he wasn’t able to do back in his hometown in California. Isaac knew how lucky he was to live in a place like Paris and he was incredibly grateful for Chris and Jackson to give him this opportunity. But now that he and Jackson had finished school over here in Paris just a few days ago, they planned to go back to Beacon Hills to support their friends on their last week of High School. Even though Isaac was incredibly nervous to go back to Beacon Hills, he knew that he had to confront (Y/N) sooner or later. He was ready to finally talk to her and tell her about the way he really felt about her, even if it was going to ruin their friendship. He knew that he couldn’t wait any longer, because he had already waisted too much time not telling her how much he really loved her.

It was the last week of High School for (Y/N) and her friends, ever. After all the things they’ve been through in the past three years, fighting supernatural creatures and saving Beacon Hills so many times, the pack would finally graduate High School. (Y/N) had been waiting for this day for the last four years of her life and now it was so close already. All the seniors at Beacon Hills High were excited for this day to come and had been preparing everything in the past two months.

Tonight was the big senior party at Lydia’s lake house, the last party they would have as seniors, the last party before the exams would start, before everything would get serious. (Y/N), Kira, Malia and Hayden were helping Lydia with the last bits for the party and even the boys were there to help and make sure nothing would happen tonight. Even though it had been a while since the last threat was in town, Scott knew that safety wasn’t guaranteed, not in a place like Beacon Hills. “Wow, the whole scenery looks great, Lyds” (Y/N) stated after putting the last couple of self-made fruit cocktails on the buffet table. “I couldn’t have done it without you guys. Thanks for joining me and helping me out tonight,” Lydia said with a smile on her face.

“Yeah it’s really great spending the last few days of High School with the people you love the most. Can you guys actually believe that it has been over three months since the whole Dread Doctors and Theo story?” Kira asked amazed while looking at her friends. “Yeah, it definitely wasn’t a good time for us,” Stiles replied. “But at least Scott saved us again. I’m glad he didn’t give up on us. Didn’t lose hope. In the end he really is a true alpha.” Stiles looked over to his best friend and grinned, putting a hand on his shoulder. “It wasn’t me alone buddy. We all did it, together. I know a lot of people had to die because of me and I will probably never forgive myself for being too late many times, but I’m really glad all of this is over and we’re back, celebrating the last week of High School together.” Scott said while looking at his pack. I’m so lucky to have these guys, he thought as a smile creeped on his face. Before any of his friends could react to that, the doorbell rang and Lydia immediately ran towards the door to let everyone in.

“Lets get this party started, shall we?” (Y/N) asked, smiling at her friends. She knew that she was going to enjoy every single bit of the party and that she wanted to spent as much time with her friends as possible. The last couple of weeks had been very stressfull for her due to many exams and many committee meetings for the upcoming senior prom she was a part of. So this party was something (Y/N) had been looking forward to the past few days. “(Y/N), are you coming or what?!” Stiles shouted at her with a soda in one hand, while waving for her to come over with the other. “Yeah, I’m coming.” She responded with a smile on her face. This party will be one for the books, one we’re always gonna remember, she thought as she reached her friends and wrapped her arms around them, dancing together to the loud music that was booming out of the speakers.

Jackson and Isaac had finally arrived at the airport of Paris and were currently at the Boarding for the flight back to California. “I’m not so sure if we should really go back to Beacon Hills, Jackson. We can still turn around and go back to our appartment, you know.” Isaac said to his friend while scretching his neck nervously. Jackson, who was standing behind him, put a hand on his shoulder and looked at him. “Don’t fall back into your old pattern and run away like you would have two years ago Isaac,” Jackson told him. “I know you’re ready to confront (Y/N) and I’m sick of seeing you walk around like a zombie all day, just because you didn’t have the guts back then to tell her that you love her. So either you come with me voluntarily and finally confess your undeniable love to her or I’m gonna beat you unconsious and wake you up when we’re there,” Jackson whispered into his ear. Isaac raised his eyebrows at him and laughed but when he saw Jackson’s serious facial expression he frowned and walked through the boarding without saying another word. Jackson smiled victoriously and followed his friend behind.

The plane left twenty minutes after that and while Jackson was rather excited to go back to Beacon Hills to attend his friends graduation, Isaac was freaking out. His hands were sweating and his heart was beating incredible fast. He tried to sleep, because he knew the flight was going to be over 11 hours, but he couldn’t. Instead, all he could do was sit in the seat next to Jackson and kill time by starring out of the window or play some Candycrush on his phone. During the flight, Isaac looked over to Jackson’s seat and chuckled as he saw his friend still asleep, his mouth wide agape. He looked like a baby with nothing to worry about and Isaac wondered how he had been able to fall asleep.

After an exhausting eleven hours flight with no sleep the plane finally landed on the runway and Isaac let out a gasp of relief. As soon as he and Jackson left the plane, Isaac grabbed his phone and called Chris Argent. “Hey boys, you made it out alive?” Chris asked, a chuckle escaping his lips. “Haha very funny, Argent. The flight was horrible, I didn’t get any sleep and we even had some turbulences during the night. I really thought it was the end of me.” Isaac exclaimed through the phone. Jackson just laughed about him and mouthed a ‘loser’ with his lips, while Isaac simply flipped him off. “Calm down, Lahey. You landed safely and it’s a beautiful day in Beacon Hills today, so you have nothing to worry about.” Chris responded. “I called a cab for you guys to come and pick you up.The driver’s gonna bring you to my appartment, where you can both stay while you’re back in town. He should already be there by now,” He explained. “I’m sorry but I have something to take care of now. See you later, boys.” Chris said before hanging up. Isaac and Jackson looked at each other before walking outside of the airport to catch the cab. “Welcome back in Beacon Hills,” the driver welcomed them as they sat into the cab that would drive them to Argent’s appartment. “Yeah, welcome back in Beacon Hills.” Isaac replied quietly, before closing his eyes to catch up on some sleep he didn’t had during the long flight. He knew that tomorrow was going to be a very exciting yet exhausting day. The day he would see his friends and (Y/N) again.

imurfreakingfairygodmother asked: Hey ! Really love your blog :D Could you please recommend me some books like All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven ? I really loved it and want to read more such stories

I loved that book as well! Here are some that I think you may also enjoy. I believe I have quite a bit more that would also fit, so if you’ve already read most of these, just let me know. That last one is one of my personal favorites. Gorgeous book and gorgeous cover!

I included the summaries from Goodreads below to see if you were interested in any of these! Hope this list helps!

1. Falling into Place by Amy Zhang - Why? Why did Liz Emerson decide that the world would be better off without her? Why did she give up? Vividly told by an unexpected and surprising narrator, this heartbreaking and nonlinear novel pieces together the short and devastating life of Meridian High’s most popular junior girl. Mass, acceleration, momentum, force—Liz didn’t understand it in physics, and even as her Mercedes hurtles toward the tree, she doesn’t understand it now. How do we impact one another? How do our actions reverberate? What does it mean to be a friend? To love someone? To be a daughter? Or a mother? Is life truly more than cause and effect? Amy Zhang’s haunting and universal story will appeal to fans of Lauren Oliver, Gayle Forman, and Jay Asher.

It’s my second week in Beacon Hills and I’m still not quiet used to the change in scenery. After I’ve washed and showered I pull out my laptop to do a little more digging on the school where I’ll be completing my senior year, Beacon Hills High.

After about an hour I start to get sleepy and snuggle into bed after putting away my laptop. Once asleep I have a strange dream.

It’s almost like my body began to elevate and didn’t stop until I was some place above the clouds where the sky was a beautiful orange-pink

As I was taking in the beauty of the sky when someone walks up behind me and taps my shoulder.

I turn around and meet a woman’s eyes but not before I take in her appearance. She was beautiful with White hair hazel eyes that stood out against her tan skin. She had a calmness about her that I couldn’t place but found my own sort of calmness with in it. For some reason I couldn’t find any words to say as I took in the rest of her appearance.

She has on white robes and I finally noticed something major about her, she had beautiful white wings. My face scrunched up in confusion but before I could try to talk she places a hand on my cheek. “You’ve become such a beautiful young lady.” She says as a smile grows on her face that reaches her eyes, I look up at her a little puzzled but continue to remain just as calm as she does.

“We’ve meet before?” “And hopefully we will again.” She said as she looked me over in awe just as I did her earlier. “Victoria, things are changing love and danger will soon come your way but you’ll be with those who can help you, who can protect you.” I leaned into her touch as she rubbed circles like a mother would to comfort a small child. “What do you mean?” “You will learn soon enough Victoria.” It was something about the way she said my name that seemed so familiar but I couldn’t place it. I nodded my head slightly as the mysterious woman stepped back. I got a better look at her wings, how larger and angelic they appeared.

I looked into her eyes as she took my face into her hands. She smiled an infectious smile just before she bent my head down slightly. She leaned in and kissed my forehead, I closed my eyes as I felt the comfort of this mother-like action spread across my body.

When I opened my eyes again I was back in my bed, I got up shaking my head a bit and thought back on the dream I just had, who was that woman? Better yet, what did she mean?

A knock on the door pulled me out of my thoughts, I moved my blanket off my legs as I walked to my room door and opened it. I was met my the warm smile of my farther as he said, “Breakfast is ready.” “Awesome I’m starving.” He turned to head downstairs and I followed him letting my dream settle at the back of mind.

First day of school

I’ve always hated school, because it’s well school but I’ve never hated school more than I have right now.  Switching to a new school and not knowing anybody is worse than having your secret superhero identify revealed in front of the whole city. I’ve been nervous since last night, I would have thought an early morning round in the octagon would have helped put my butterflies at bay but there swarming now more than ever.

As I look out the window I take in the beautiful sight of the sky. It’s a wonderful orange-pink just like in my dream a couple weeks ago. I haven’t had a dream like that since but I still remember it like I had it only yesterday.

I push that aside as I walk into my closet to find what to wear to school. Once I’ve showered and dressed I head down stairs and find my dad grabbing his motorcycle helmet out off the coat hanger. “Pass me mine too please.” He chucks mine to me and I walk over to the kitchen and eat a quick breakfast.

“So what do you have planned for today?” I ask my dad, “Well I’m probably going to go looking around get to know the town since I don’t start work until next week.”

Dad works for the FBI and works on out of country assignments some of the time much like the one will be starting soon. Plus his new office of operation is only about an hour drive away.

I nod my head as I finish my toast and pick my bag along with my helmet. “Well I’m off, see you later dad.” I give my dad a quick peck on the cheek as I head out the door. Once I get outside I hop onto my all white Yamaha aka Angel and head to school.

When I pull up to school I park in a spot next to a green bike, and a blue jeep, which cause me to consider driving my jeep tomorrow. I decide to think about it later and check the time on my watch, I realize that I have about 30 minutes before school starts which give me plenty of time to head to the office and my locker.

I pop the stand out on my motorcycle and turn off my bike, I take off my helmet and shake out my hair which I assume looks pretty bad from the helmet. When I look up I notice a cute skinny guy with moles on his face and slightly gelled up brown hair staring at me. I check myself over to make sure there’s nothing out of the ordinary on me when I see that there’s not I look up just in time to see a tan guy with a slightly bigger build pulling the skinny kid by his bag which causes him to stop staring. The tan guy looks back over to me with an apologetic smile then he disappears into the school.

Well that’s one way to start off the day. I thought to myself as I got off my bike and walked up to the school. When I made it inside I went to the office and picked up my schedule and locker combination. I found my locker but had a hard time opening it, which resulted in me being late for my first class period.

I made it to first period which was AP Biology, when I walk in all eyes were on me as a noticed a familiar tan face from earlier whose eyes locked with mine. “Ms…” the teacher trailed off causing me to avert my attention to her and say “Angelo, Victoria Angelo” the teacher nodded her head and motioned for me to step further into the class. “Welcome to AP Biology Ms. Angelo take a seat wherever there is one and try not to be late again.”

Once I reached a seat towards the back of the class everyone’s attention went back to Mrs. Finch as she continued to introduce the class. Moments later a red-head that I wouldn’t stand a chance against if we were going for the same guy turned around and stuck her hand out.

“ Hi Victoria it’s nice to meet you I’m Lydia Martian.” I shook her hand and I gave her a small smile as I said, “It’s nice to meet you too.” “So where did you move from?” “Dallas, Texas” “Oh what made you move to Beacon Hills?” “My dad received a promotion, plus he said there was a pulling on him that was telling him it was time for a change but I was not so sure.” I said as I chuckled nervously “Well change can be good, right?” I shrugged my shoulders but nodded and said. “Yeah I gue…” my voice began to trail off as I noticed everyone’s eyes on. “Oh no don’t stop on my account.” Mrs. Finch smiled falsely until Lydia turned back towards the front in her seat.

“Now where was I…” as Mrs. Finch continued running her mouth about ‘important’ information about the class, I began to zone out thinking back on the dream I had weeks ago.

What did that woman mean, and who was she? For some reason she looked so familiar. We even shared some of the same qualities. Both hazel eyes, same nose and face structure. The only real difference was our hair and my freckles, which I got from my dad. While her hair was a white mine was a brown with natural highlights.

Victoria… A feminine voice whispered Victoria… same voice but still not much louder than a whisper. Victoria… this time I could place the voice it was the woman from my dream and this time she was calling my name in a normal voice. Victoria! This time she shouted my name and image of her face flashed across my vision and I jolted up in my seat.

I sat up and realized that people in the class were leaving. I look to my side and saw the guy I was sitting next to was the one that woke me from whatever that was. “You’re back, must have been some daydream.” He smirked. I collected my things shoving them into my bag as I got up and walked out the class with the guy on my tail.

“My name is Raeken, Theo Raeken.” I chuckle as I say, “Thanks for waking me up see you around.” I made it to my second period okay and it came and went smoothly.

Once I made it to my third period there was no one, not even the teacher there yet so I figured I was early. I took up a seat in the very back corner of the class and pulled out a notebook as I began to sketch the woman face from my dream. I got so caught up in drawing I didn’t notice as people began to fill in the empty seats. It wasn’t until the bell rang that I looked up and saw the class was full and the teacher writing his name on the board.

After he introduced himself to the class he began taking role and I went back to drawing the mystery woman’s face. I was so invested in trying to get down every little detail I could remember about her I almost missed when my name was called. “Here!” “Ms. Victoria Angelo? You’re new to Beacon Hills correct?” I nod my head and he continues on to say “Well I hope that you’re enjoying it so far.” He said with a warm smile. As he went on to the next person on the role two guys turned around, I didn’t lift my head until I noticed they were staring at me.

When I did look up I realized it was the tan guy from my AP Biology class and his friend from this morning. The tan one spoke first, “Hey I’m Scott McCall and this is…” his friend turned to him as and then looked between Scott and I with wide eyes before he said

“Oh me? I’m well my name… is um.. Scotty help me out here.” Scott gave him a confused look then said, “He’s Stiles Stilinski.” I looked back over to Stiles as he leaned his head back and waved awkwardly, something about them I don’t know what seemed funny causing me to chuckle which made them both chuckle a bit before Stiles eyes landed on my desk.

“Wow that’s one hell of a self portrait.” I give him a puzzled look as until I look down at my notebook and see that the picture does in fact resemble me. Why does this woman resemble me so much but I don’t even know her? I shake off the idea for a later time and look back up at Stiles with a small smile, “Thanks I don’t even know how it turned out like this.” He returned my small smile with one of his own as he turned back around listening to what the teacher was saying.

By the time I got to lunch I was surprisingly starving. I placed my bag down and got in line, after I got my food I went back to the table where I placed my bag. I took my phone out and started looking through my social media, as I took a bite out of my sandwich I was surrounded by people and their conversations.

I grew wide eyed as I looked around me and saw Lydia to my right and a buff kid I didn’t know to my left, Stiles and Scott across from me and every one elses faces were unknown. After I swallowed the bite I piped up, “Uhh hi everybody” Everyone’s conversations stopped as they turned to me. “Sorry Victoria, Everybody this is Victoria she’s new to Beacon Hills, Victoria this is Malia, Kira, Mason, Liam, Scott, and Stiles.” Lydia said as she pointed at everyone, in return everyone said their own forms of hi, as they continued to stare at me until Kira I think her name is spoke, “So how are you enjoying your first day?” “Not to bad except that AP Bio teacher seems… intense to say the least.” “So you’re a senior?” asked the buff kid, Liam. “Yup.” He and Stiles share a look for a second then Stiles ask me, “So what’s you’re next class?” I pull my schedule up on my phone and hand it to him. “Oh you have a free period then Art. Oh you just got a text from your dad.” He hands me my phone and I read the text

D: what time do you get out?

V: 2:15 why?

D: I’ll be there then be ready to go we need to get a few things from the mall.

V: Alright, see you then love you.

D: Love you too, Amore.

When I look back up Stiles was staring at me but caught him self as he shook his head and scratched the back of his neck. “So you have art last so do Lydia and Mason.” I look at them with a small smile and nod my head and say “Cool.” After that I made more small talk with everyone I threw my lunch away. I was about to go to my free period when I realized I didn’t know where to go.

As I stood with my bag on my shoulders looking around lost as ever Kira says, “You can go off campus or go to the library during your free period just be back in time for last period of the day.” I nod my head but then looked puzzled again as I realize I have no idea where the library is. “Need me to walk you there?” she asked, I nodded my vigorously causing her to chuckle as she looped her arm through mines leading me to the library.

“So are you busy after school?” “Yeah me and my dad are going to the mall to get a few things.” “Oh I was going to ask if you wanted to come and chill with us but maybe another time?” she says as we come up to the doors of the library, I nod my head with a small smile on my face, “Definitely.” The bell rings signaling that we’ll be late soon, “Well see you later.” She says as she waves off and heads towards her next class.

I walk into the library and go to a table, since it’s only the first day I don’t have much homework besides AP Biology so I decide to do it later and pull out my sketchbook and begin to randomly sketch something not really paying attention to the out come. I jump when I feel someone’s warm breath tickling my ear. “I knew you were heaven sent.” I jump as I spin around and realize it was that guy from this morning, Theo Raeken I think his name was.

“What?” I look down at my sketchbook and see that I drew an angel but with its wings facing me. I shake my head as Theo takes up a seat across from me, “What are you doing here?” he smirks as he takes out his books and says, “Free period, same as you unless your skipping which isn’t all that good to do on the first day.” “Nope this is my free period or at least that what my schedule and friends say.” He raises his eye brows as he finally looks up at me through his lashes, “You’ve made friends already? That’s good, so who has had the honor to be named your friend?” I roll my eyes and say, “I wouldn’t call it an honor more like a burden but Lydia, Scott, Stiles and a few others but I forgot their names.”

“That’s a good bunch of people to be in with, lucky you.” “How do you know them?” he smirks as he lifts his head and looks at me head on. “I went to school in Beacon Hills in fourth grade, then I moved but now I’m back.” “Why?” “Hmm?” “Why are you back?” “After an accident I guess you could just say I felt drawn to home.” This guy smooth a little too smooth for my liking but he wasn’t being a dick so I found no harm in becoming friends with him.

For the rest of the period he continued to inform me about who’s who in Beacon Hills and what I can expect from the town and it’s citizens. Once the bell rang Theo and I walked to my next period together due to the fact I had no idea where the art room was. Once I said bye and went inside I went to a stool in front of an easel and waited for instructions from the teacher.

“Victoria, hey you’re here early.” Mason said as he and Lydia took up seats on either side of me. The teacher made a brief introduction on the class then let us become familiar with the materials and tools in the room as well as each other. I talk to Lydia and Mason, and by the end of the period were all laughing about how cocky guys can be. “You know Victoria you’re not as mean as you seem.” Said Lydia, I nod my head as I say, “Yeah don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” We laugh a bit more than the bell rings, “Well I’ll see you guys tomorrow.” I say as I wave goodbye to Mason and Lydia then head towards my locker grab my books for AP Bio and my helmet and head to my bike.

Sure enough when I got outside my dad was propped up right next to Angel on his bike Knight. I walk up to him and give him a hug then we both put on our helmet. I let him back out first.  As he’s backing out my eyes trail up to a particular guy with moles on his face we must have been staring at each other for a bit longer than prefers because my dad reeved his bike causing me to smirk and roll my eyes. I drop the face plate on my helmet and back out once I’m next to my dad I look over at Stiles one more time as he waves at me then I drive off.

Once dad and I get to the mall he ask me, “Who was that boy?” “What boy?” he gives me the ‘don’t play dumb’ face and says, “The one who was waving goodbye to you at school.” I shrug my shoulders as I say, “Just a friend, just met him today.” “Uh, so you had a good first day I take it?” “It was alright after I got my locker open. How was your day?” “Fine went to sheriffs office, saw few pet store if you wanna check them out another day.” “Yeah that sounds good but why are we here?” “Well, Agent Denver and his son are coming to dinner tomorrow night, and I need you to dress up.” I stop as I turn to him, “Dress up? I have dressy clothes at the house what’s wrong with those.”

“1. Their from like 3 years ago 2. They mainly consist of nice shirt and black slacks with flats, you need to update them, especially if you’re gonna want to impress that guy.” Dad says with a smirk on his face as he continue to walk leaving me slightly speechless, I catch up to him and say, “I don’t need to impress anybody, but you’re right I do need to get some new clothes.” “Of course I’m right oh and only dresses, skirts and nice blouses, also get some heels.” I roll my eyes and say, “Father you’re ask to much of me plus where are we going to fit all of this stuff we did kind of drive here on our bike.” He chuckles as he says, “We’ll take what we can with us and have the rest shipped, now go find some clothes I need to look for some for me as well.”

I walk of to a women-clothing store with a huff. I find two outfits that we can take back on our bikes and a whole lot more than I can get shipped. I call up my dad and we decide to me in the food court. I show him what I bought and he nods his head as he says, “Wow Vicky you actually bought some nice stuff, it’s actually like feminine.” I roll my eyes and say, “Yeah yeah, you know most fathers would be happy that there daughters don’t feel the need to dress up and get guys attention.” “But I’m not most fathers.” “Ah yes your much lamer.” I say as I stick my tongue out at my dad causing him to laugh. “Alright lets get home, I know at least one of your classes gave you some home work.”

Once I got home and put away my new clothes I took out my AP Biology book and read the chapters she assigned and even the next two feeling that she would expect us to do just that. Once I finished I went to the guest house which is also house to the octagon and our boxing bags. After working out for a 45 minutes dad calls me, “Hey honey, dinner will be ready in 20.” “Alright.” I use the in house shower and wash up. Once I’m done I wash my face in the sink. I bend my head down to run my face under the water. When I bring my face back up the woman is there behind me. My eyes go wide and I spin around and see the she is in fact actually there.

“Victoria I do not have much time. However I must warn you, be careful with who you take company with, trust your instincts and be on your guard things are changing soon and I’m afraid a great deal of it may before the worst.” “What do you mean? Who are you? How do you know me?” she shakes her head as she places her hand on my cheek and says, “I’ve known you for many year child.” Then she bends my head down and lays a kiss upon my forehead when I look back up she’s gone. Thinking in no way how I know her I begin to think about what she said last time versus what she said this time.

I’ll find people who can protect me and now be careful who I keep company with. How did I even see her before it was a dream but this was what? A vision maybe? A familiar ringing coming from my phone pulls me out of my thoughts, “Dinners ready Vicky.” “I-I’ll be there in a few m-minutes.” “You okay?” “Yeah I just got some soap in my eye see you soon Pop.” “See you darling.”

I get dress and but my hair into a messy bun after towel drying it a bit. I get back to the house and see my dad flipping between channels trying to find something to watch.

After dinner I get my clothes out for tomorrow. Once done I sat down at my desk just staring at it blankly as I process the words the woman spoke to me. Who was she talking about? How do I know she’s telling the truth? How am I even suppose to answer any of these question myself when I don’t even know who she is or if she’s even real. As far as I know no one else has seen her but she just seemed so real. Who was she talking about when she told me to be careful? Lydia maybe? No, maybe Scott or Stiles, ugh this is too much. I get up and get into my bed praying that tonight I will have a peaceful sleep without any special visitors.

Any guess about who her love interest will be? (Hint: It’s not Liam(one of the things i changed from the request)) Inbox/ Message me who you think it is!

Home - Part 2

Author: Sakura

A/N: Hey guys, here is the second part of my ‘Home’ series. To be honest, It didn’t turn out as I wanted it to be, but still it fits the content of the story (which is definitely the important part) and I kind of found it hard to find the right words, which is why it’s very long and detailed at some points. I still hope you like it though :) I can’t really say when the third part is going to be published, since I haven’t really worked on that and I still have a lot of other Imagines to work on. As always leave your comments and critism in our message box! Thanks for reading x

It only took about an hour to have Lydias lake house completely packed with Beacon Hill Highs seniors laughing and dancing around. The music was loud and the entire first floor was filled with cups of alcohol and random bowls of chips and crackers.

Scott and Kira were making out on the couch next to other kissing and cuddling couples including the youngest in the pack Liam and Hayden. (Y/N) stood next to Lydia who was refilling the drinks on the buffet table while Stiles and Malia were dancing with one’s arm tightly around each other.

“I think you should tell him,” (Y/N) said as Lydia looked over her shoulder to watch the couple on the dancefloor kissing each other. “Tell him what?” The redhead asked bewilderedly. “That you like him, Lydia.” (Y/N) responded a smile clustered on her face. “Stop smiling like that, (Y/N). I don’t like Stiles,” Lydia whispered back, knowing that the werecoyote aka Stiles girlfriend was able to listen to their conversation.

“And even if I did, it wouldn’t change the fact that he’s with Malia.” Lydia looked over to where they were  dancing and waved back when Stiles nodded into her direction with a big smile on his face. “You should do it, Lydia. It’s the last week of high school and who knows how long we’re gonna be friends after our graduation? You’re gonna regret it for the rest of your life if you don’t tell him how you feel especially when you don’t know how he’s gonna react. You don’t want to ask yourself every single day what could have changed between you two if you’d told him, what could have happened if you’d been honest with yourself and with him. Believe me, you don’t want to go through that,” (Y/N) said, looking at her.

Lydia sighed and pulled her friend into a hug. “You’re right, I like him and I’m gonna tell him.” The redhead whispered back into (Y/N)’s ear. “I’m sorry. I forgot that you went through the same thing with Isaac. That you’re still going through it, I’m sorry.” She sincerly apologized. “It’s all good Lydia, let’s just not talk about it anymore alright? We’re supposed to have some fun tonight, right?” (Y/N) said, smacking her friend on the shoulder. “Yeah, come on. Let’s dance our problems away,” The redhead laughed and pulled her friend on the dancefloor where the other’s were all dancing by now.

They all spent the rest of the night together, lauging and having the time of their life and even though (Y/N) missed her best friend Isaac, she was glad that she didn’t had time to think about him tonight.

The ride to Argent’s appartment took about twenty minutes including five minutes of standing in the busy traffic of Beacon Hills. Isaac somehow manged to sleep during the whole drive, something he definitely needed after such an exhausting flight.

“Here we go,” the driver said as he stopped the car infront of the familar looking appartment. Isaac and Jackson hopped out of the car and grabbed their bags and boxes out of the trunk.

Jackson rummaged in his pockets and pulled out some american dollars to pay the driver but he rejected it with a thankful smile. “I was already payed by Mr. Argent gentlemen,” He explained. Isaac and Jackson looked at each other clueless, before mouthing a ‘thank you’ to the driver.

“Argent, are you there?” Jackson shouted after they had entered his appartment with the spare key that was hidden under the doormat. “Boys,” Chris said as he stepped into the corridor, a smile on his face.“It’s good to see you again.” He pulled the  boys into a manly hug to welcome them officially.

“Nothing has changed since the last time I was here,” Isaac stated after he and Jackson had put their bags into the guestrooms of Argent’s appartment.“Well I didn’t really had the time to change it yet,” Chris responded, scretcing his neck. “and I guess Allison would have wanted me to keep everything the way it is,” Chris mumbled, his voice above a whisper.

Isaac gave him an apologetic glance and gently put a hand on his shoulder. “Yeah, I think that’s what she would want.” Jackson nodded and smiled sympathetically. “Anyway,” Chris said after a few minutes of silence. “Are you guys hungry?” He asked while looking at the boys. They both nodded. “I’m starving, man!” Jackson replied, making Chris lips curve into a smile.

“Good, because I ordered some mexican food.” He said before entering the kitchen to get some plates and the food. “Dude, I love mexican!” Isaac exclaimed happily. “Yeah, I know you do,” Chris shouted back from the kitchen. Jackson rolled his eyes because mexican food wasn’t exactly his favourite. “Next time I choose what to eat!” Jackson stated, making the others laugh.

“Thanks for coming guys! We’ll see you at school!” Lydia hollered as everyone hopped into their cars and drove away. The pack stood behind her and waved the others goodbye, until their cars were out of sight.

“What a night,” Stiles stated, looking at the mess in the house. “The cleaning up is the worst part after a party,” Lydia sighed. (Y/N) nodded. “We’re gonna help you, Lyds.” She smiled gently and the others nodded in agreement.

“Yeah, since you’re all sleeping over that’s the least you could do,” She teased her friends while picking up some empty soda bottles. The pack helped Lydia to clean the whole mess of the party up, which took quite a while because over a hundred people had attended it, but working all together they had managed to make it look like there had never been a party in the first place.

Lydia smiled happily as she looked through the room and clapped in her hands. “Well done guys!” She looked proudly at her friends who smiled all back at her. “Okay,” Scott said after a while. “What’s the plan for the rest of the night?” He looked at his pack who were all shrugging their shoulders.

“What about a cozy night? Just us infront of a burning fireplace. I’m really exhausted after all the dancing and drinking and stuff. What do you guys think?” (Y/N) suggested. “That actually sounds really nice,” Kira responded while the others all nodded. “Good. What about you boys make a fire and we take care of the food and make some hot chocolates?” (Y/N) asked. “Yeah, alright.” Stiles responded, a crooked smile on his face.

The girls smiled back at the boys before dissapearing in the kitchen to prepare the hot chocolates for everyone while Scott and Stiles tried to get the fireplace burning. “Can you not like use your wolfpower or something?” Stiles asked as their second try to light the fire failed. “No, Stiles. I’m not a witch or a wizard that can make things burn naturally. I’m a werewolf with heigthened senses. I’m fast and strong and able to take other people’s pain away, but I can’t magically light a fire!” Scott replied, throwing his arms in the air defensively.

Liam raised his eyebrows as he stared at them, laughing. “Oh god, I can’t believe yout two are about to graduate high school,” Liam said as he took the matches out of Scotts hand, liting the fireplace within a second and leaving his alpha and his best friend speechless. Liam just shrugged his shoulders and flopped onto the couch.

“Yey, you actually managed to make a fire!” Kira exclaimed happily as she placed two cups of  the freshly made hot chocolate on the coffeetable before pecking her boyfriends lips. Scott just smiled sheepishly before sitting on the couch next to Liam.

The other girls soon followed with the rest of the hot chocolates and placed them on the table for everyone to take. “Thanks girls.” Stiles said with a smile before taking a sip out of the hot chocolate in his hands. Malia smiled at him and kissed his cheek, before sitting down next to him. Hayden did the same with Liam and soon every couple was sitting next to each other with a cup of hot chocolate in their hands, cuddling.

Only Lydia and (Y/N) were left alone without a boyfriend. They looked at each other awkwardly. “Friends can cuddle each other, right?” Lydia asked as she pulled (Y/N) to the couch, winking at her. (Y/N) laughed and sat next to her friend. A few second passend and neither of them had said anything.

Everyone was sitting by the fireplace, enjoying their hot chocolates and appreciating the time they had left together as friends. Left as a pack. There were only a few days of high school for almost all of them left and soon they would have to go their seperate ways. They had already promised each other to stay in touch, to keep the regular pack meetings a thing and stay in each others life. But who knows where life is going to take them?

“I can’t believe this is actually our last week of school,” (Y/N) mumbled after a while, breaking the silence. “It’s crazy, I can’t believe it either.” Scott responded. “So much time has passed since freshman year. I feel like it was only yesterday when Scott got bitten by Peter and turned into a werewolf.” Stiles added, before taking another zip of his hot chocolate.

“It’s so not fair! Hayden and I we, still have to years ahead of us.” Liam sighed frustratedly while running a hand through his hair. Scott looked at his beta and put an arm around his shoulder. “Everyone always told me that I should appreciate the time I have left at high school because once I finish it, everything is going to be different. I never really understood what they meant, because school was driving me crazy and I knew I would never going to miss the constant pressure of writing good exams and getting the best grades while being surrounded by people who make you feel bad about yourself, but Liam, believe me all of these people are right. In less than four days almost all of us are going to graduate, some of us are leaving for university and some of us don’t even know what they want to do. There are so many important decisions that we have to make, that will change our life. So yeah, high school does suck. It sucks a lot, actually, but hell you should give all your best and enjoy every single moment of it, because one day it’s gonna be too late and you will stand there on the day of your graduation, without a clue what to with your life.” He squeezed Liams shoulder lightly and smiled at him.

“I know it’s gonna be a hard and long way, but you can handle it.” Hayden nodded and put her hand on Liam’s. “You have me, remember? We can handle it together, Li. We managed to fight the Dread Doctors, so we will definitely manage high school.” Hayden said, making her boyfriend smile. “Yeah, you’re right. I’m sorry.” He kissed the back of her hand before turning to face his alpha. “Thanks Scott.” Scott just nodded and gave him a little smile.

“I’m going to miss you guys,” Malia suddenly blurted out. Everyone turned their heads towards her and looked at her. Stiles wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him. “Hey, we’re not going to lose each other, Malia. Not after everything we’ve been through together. I’m not gonna let that happen to us.” He kissed the top of her head while Malia just leaned at him, closing her eyes. “Stiles is right, we’re gonna stay in each others life, no matter what.” Scott said a comforting smile on his face. “We already lost too many people. We can’t lose each other too,” He added before looking at the ground.

(Y/N) closed her eyes and felt her heart breaking into a million pieces. God, she missed Isaac so much. She thought, she could avoid thinking about him tonight, but she couldn’t. He was always in the back of her mind, he would always be. She never really had the chance to tell him about her feelings towards him and she regretted that every single day. She still remembered the day, Isaac had told her that he was leaving. Not only leaving Beacon Hills and his old life behind, but also leaving her, his best friend behind. She remembered every single word, every single tear that had rollen down her cheek and she knew she would never forget.

(Y/N) was comfortably sitting on her couch, a book in her hands, while it was raining outside of Beacon Hills. She had just finished her homework and decided to reax the rest of the evening by herself, since her parents were still at work. Suddenly she heard a knock on her door and she immediately jumped up from the couch, running towards the door. “Isaac,” She said surprised as she saw her best friend standing outside of her house. “What are you doing here? Is everything alright?” She questioned, her face full of  worry. Isaac didn’t say anything and just shook his head. “Hey, what’s wrong?” (Y/N) asked, gently putting her hand on his arm. “God, you’re freezing Isaac. Come Inside, I’m gonna get you a towel and make you a hot chocolate.” She closed the door behind him and ran into the bathroom to grab a towel. “Here,” She said, handing him the towel. He grabbed it gratefully and dried his curly hair, before handing it back to her. “Seriously? It’s pouring with rain outside, your whole body is completely soaked and the only thing you care about is your hair?” (Y/N) laughed and looked at him. Isaac looked back at her and their gaze met. She could see sadness and fear in his eyes. “Hey,” She stepped closer to him. “Do you want to tell me why you’re here?” Isaac nodded. “Please,” He put his hand on her face and caressed her cheek with his thumb. “Please, just listen to me okay?” (Y/N) nodded. “I don’t know how to say this without sounding like the biggest coward, without hurting you,” He said, his voice above a whisper. “Isaac,” (Y/N) whispered but Isaac interrupted her. “You promised to listen to me first, right?” She let out a breath she didn’t realize she was holding back and nodded her head. “Chris offered me to join him on his trip to Paris. He said that there are really good schools I can go to and they even play Lacrosse over there, isn’t that amazing?” Isaac’s eyes lit up with excitement. “He said I could start completely over and forget everything that happened in Beacon Hills. He said I would be safe. Safe from the supernatural world, safe from the bad memories I have of Beacon Hills, safe from the fear of losing more people I love,” Isaac locked his eyes with hers. “You know I love you right? You’re my best friend, (Y/N), the one who knows me better than I know myself.” He smiled at her. “I could never leave you behind, never.” He continued. “But, I will never get such an opportunity again.” (Y/N) gulped and her eyes widened. “You said yes?” Isaac nodded. “That’s why I’m here, (Y/N). I wanted to see you one last time before heading off tonight.” (Y/N) shook her head in disbelief and stepped away from him. “No, no, no, no,” She swallowed, already feeling how the tears were burning in her eyes. “You’re joking right? This is just a stupid joke, right?” Isaac lowered his head and looked at his shoes. “Tell me that this is a joke, Isaac!” She raised her voice, while she tried to hold the tears in her eyes back. Isaac shook his head. “I’m sorry,” He was still looking at his shoes, at the ground, at everything expect for (Y/N). He just couldn’t handle seeing her like that. Knowing that she was crying, crying because of him. “You’re sorry?! This is all you have to say, seriously Isaac?!” She shouted, angryily her voice sounding not like her own voice anymore. “You’re telling me that you’re moving to Paris, leaving everything and everyone you love behind and all you have to say is that you’re sorry?!” Isaac closed his eyes and sighed. He approached (Y/N) and put his hand on her shaking arm, but she pushed it away. “I have to go, (Y/N). I just can’t do this anymore, staying here in Beacon Hills. I-I just cant,” His voice sounded so hurt, his eyes getting watery. “What about me, Isaac? I need you, I fucking need you, okay? You’re my best friend! You can’t just leave me alone. Not after everything we’ve been through together, not after what happened to Allison. We..I..need you,” (Y/N) choked, whipping a few tears from her face with her shaky hands. “Please don’t do this to me, Isaac. Please stay,” She looked at his face, waiting for him to tell her that this was all just a joke. That he wasn’t leaving, that he wasn’t giving up his life in Beacon Hills. That he was staying with her. “I’m so sorry,” Isaac whispered. “I really am,” He pursed his lips and looked into her eyes. “I already made up my mind, (Y/N). I’m sorry.” (Y/N) shook her head over and over again. “Isaac please,” She begged but Isaac stayed silent and walked towards the door. “I hope we see us again (Y/N), I really do.” (Y/N) took hold of his wrist to turn him around, to stop him from leaving, but he was too strong. “I hope you find happiness, (Y/N). Please be happy, okay?” Isaac pressed his lips against her forehead, looking at her one last time before he left her house, leaving her all by herself again.
End of Flashback.

“(Y/N), are you okay?” Lydia asked, pulling her out of her thoughts. She looked over to the redhead and forced a little smile.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” She replied quickly. “I’m just very tired. It was a long day,” (Y/N) added. Lydia nodded. “It was. Maybe we should all rest a little. Especially our little freshmans over here,” Scott laughed and tousled through Liam’s and Hayden’s hair.

“Hey!” Liam pouted, running a hand through his hair to fix it. Hayden laughed and yawned, passing it on to Stiles. “Okay, we should definitely go to sleep,” Scott stated before preparing himself to go to bed.

After everyone had prepared themselves to go to sleep, they had hugged each other before mouthing a good night and falling into bed. (Y/N) stayed awake a little bit longer than anyone else, thinking about her best friend who wasn’t leaving her mind again, before she slowly fell asleep with his name in her mind. Isaac.

Thanks to @bleep0bleep for looking this over for me. You’re a dear Carrie.

The thing about high school is that everyone is trying to find themselves, while trying to keep up with a bunch of stereotypes and labels.

Looking at Derek you think he would escape it unscathed. He’s a good looking dude, captain of the basketball team, has great friends and a supportive family and no pimples.

In theory he has everything a teenager could wish.

But the thing is, what Derek wants the most he can’t have.

What Derek wants the most is five feet ten, has lush brown hair, soft looking lips and eyes that defined forever the concept of amber. Who he wants most of all is also the most infuriatingly person Derek had ever met.

“I don’t care what stupid prank you think you’re pulling, I’m not falling for it, Derek. We kind of grow up together remember, I know you and this is bullshit.” Stiles tell Derek for the tenth time this week.

“Stiles, I’m not, I told you, I am actually asking you-”

“As if Derek Hale, Jock Senior Royalty in Beacon Hills High would ask me, Stiles no one Stilinski to be his-” Stiles finished with a humorless laugh and shaked his head. “Look man, I know you’re probably dared by Jackson or something, and you have to do this but I really, really rather not let you or anyone trample on my feelings, okay?.” He turned in his heels  and walked out of the cafeteria, letting Derek staring after him.

“Stop moping already Derek!”

“I’m not moping!”

“No? Then why you’re doing such a pretty good impression of it?” Erica asked, pushing his arm.

“I’m bummed okay, and I’m allowed to be.”

“Yes babe, you are indeed allowed to your feelings, but you shouldn’t look so glum cause you were refused by Stiles.”

“It’s not that at all ! I wouldn’t care if it was anyone else, but I really do like Stiles, okay? And he just, he just doesn’t believe me. I tried everything, I sent him Valentine’s Day cards, I sent him choco-”

“You sent the wrong brand, dude,” Boyd mumbled from where he was carding his fingers through Erica’s hair. Why did they have to be so disgustingly cute beside Derek when he was so sad?

“Thanks Boyd, that’s very helpful.”

“Now, now, who found out he likes Reese’s and not Twizzlers? Send him the right brand now, do something else, write him a poem, a song.”

“Send him flowers now! Stiles totally looks like the kind of guy who would love a fuck heteronormativity kind of gesture.”

That’s how Derek ended with a flower bouquet being thrown in his face.

“My name is Lucas Scott. I’m a senior at Tree Hill High School. Tree Hill is just a place in the world. Maybe it’s a lot like your world, maybe it’s nothing like it. But if you look closer, you might see someone like you. Or someone like my best friend, Haley. If you’re married, a senior in high school, and not sure if your husband is still alive, then I’d say your world is a lot like Haley’s. Today was supposed to be the best day of her life. But it’s amazing how things can change in the blink of an eye.”

mintycess14 said to quoted-books: Hiii :) Do you know the book “All The Bright Places” by Jennifer Niven? I really love this book and I was wondering if there is also a book similar to it and also a Young adult book :) Thanks :) xxx

I loved that book! Here are some others that you may enjoy- all of them involve dealing with some sort of physical or mental disorder - most of them depression since that fits with Niven’s novel! Let me know if you need any others.

All of the summaries are from Goodreads!

2. Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson - Lia and Cassie are best friends, wintergirls frozen in matchstick bodies, competitors in a deadly contest to see who can be the skinniest. But what comes after size zero and size double-zero? When Cassie succumbs to the demons within, Lia feels she is being haunted by her friend’s restless spirit. Laurie Halse Anderson explores Lia’s descent into the powerful vortex of anorexia, and her painful path toward recovery.

3. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher - Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers thirteen cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker, his classmate and crush who committed suicide two weeks earlier. On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he’ll find out how he made the list. Through Hannah and Clay’s dual narratives, debut author Jay Asher weaves an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that will deeply affect teen readers.

4. It’s Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini - Ambitious New York City teenager Craig Gilner is determined to succeed at life - which means getting into the right high school to get into the right job. But once Craig aces his way into Manhattan’s Executive Pre-Professional High School, the pressure becomes unbearable. He stops eating and sleeping until, one night, he nearly kills himself. Craig’s suicidal episode gets him checked into a mental hospital, where his new neighbors include a transsexual sex addict, a girl who has scarred her own face with scissors, and the self-elected President Armelio. There, Craig is finally able to confront the sources of his anxiety.

5. Say What You Will by Cammie McGovern - Born with cerebral palsy, Amy can’t walk without a walker, talk without a voice box, or even fully control her facial expressions. Plagued by obsessive-compulsive disorder, Matthew is consumed with repeated thoughts, neurotic rituals, and crippling fear. Both in desperate need of someone to help them reach out to the world, Amy and Matthew are more alike than either ever realized. When Amy decides to hire student aides to help her in her senior year at Coral Hills High School, these two teens are thrust into each other’s lives. As they begin to spend time with each other, what started as a blossoming friendship eventually grows into something neither expected.

6. Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira - Laurel chooses Kurt Cobain because her sister, May, loved him. And he died young, just like May. Soon, Laurel has a notebook full of letters to the dead—to people like Janis Joplin, Heath Ledger, Amelia Earhart, and Amy Winehouse—though she never gives a single one of them to her teacher. She writes about starting high school, navigating the choppy waters of new friendships, learning to live with her splintering family, falling in love for the first time, and, most important, trying to grieve for May. But how do you mourn for someone you haven’t forgiven?
It’s not until Laurel has written the truth about what happened to herself that she can finally accept what happened to May. And only when Laurel has begun to see her sister as the person she was—lovely and amazing and deeply flawed—can she truly start to discover her own path.

Thanks for the question! Happy reading!
