In the early 90s just outside of Toronto, Canada, a van of high school girls on their way to school spun out of control, rolling several times and eventually landing in a ditch. While three of the girls suffered serious injuries, they survived the crash. But Sellina, the fourth girl, who’d been the passenger, was thrown 50 feet out of the vehicle and was pronounced dead when emergency workers arrived at the scene.
Following her untimely death, a mysterious headstone was erected at the spot where the crash happened. With a bizarre quote inscribed on the stone - “I’m a cute kid” - and the person responsible for its sudden appearance unknown, the very idea of Sellina has become something of Toronto lore throughout the years with several different versions of ghost stories being attributed to her name.
The Kirby Road creepypasta is based on this case.
