We were tasked with visually portraying a memory from our past and the memory I chose was when I first got my dog, Meeko, and my cat, Phoebe’s, reaction. I attempted to make the series of illustrations funny by placing them in a comic book and using common comic slang and styles. I then stitched the book together using a Japanese stitch of single sheets.
Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realize that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are gods.
