self healed

You will meet many types of people in your life. You will meet delicate flowers, raging oceans, quiet forests, towering mountains, and colourful skies. You will meet thunderstorms, you will meet lightning. They will knock you down, they will leave you breathless. You will meet sunrises, you will meet gardens. They will give you light, they will take you on adventures. Explore them. Get lost with them. They all have something to teach you.

Please Remember...
  • You are never as awkward as you think you are
  • You are never as annoying as you think you are
  • You are never as boring as you think you are
  • Your compliments are never as creepy as you think they are
  • You are way more wanted than you give yourself credit for
  • Chin up, everything’s going to be okay, okay?

I helped myself.
wiped my own tears.
put balm over fresh wounds.
plastered parts of my heart that still were hurting.
gave myself time.
read books that soothed my soul.
heard music that calmed my nerves.
watched movies that made me smile.
bit by bit, piece by piece, I put
myself back together again.
and I gave myself a second chance
because I know that if I didn’t,

then no one else would.

6 Reminders For Bad Times
  1. You are allowed to take up space, you’re human.
  2. You are allowed to have a voice.
  3. You are allowed to leave whenever you feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
  4. You deserve more than someone who doesn’t know how to respect you.
  5. You are allowed to put your own needs first.
  6. You are allowed to love yourself.

A plus sized girl finding genuine love for herself is not just some inspirational story.

It’s not “omg that poor fat girl can somehow love herself even with her burden of fatness”.

Please stop talking about fat women like their bodies are a tragedy and it’s so inspirational for them to be able to love their “horrible” body. Their bodies are beautiful. Every body is beautiful. No body is a tragedy.
