Everyone, good day, I’m Saito Souma.
This time, I’d been given the honor of spreading the news myself!
Just as announced everywhere else, I, Saito Souma, shall be making my solo artist debut under SACRA MUSIC!
The first single is to be released on June 7, 2017, Wednesday!
It’s called “Fiche Story”!
Amazingly, THE Oishi Masayoshi-san had been put in charge of the lyrics, arrangement, and composition!
While there’s a lot I can’t say yet, it’s a quirky pop song, and definitely became something embodying the things I like.
I really want everyone to hear this tune I love very soon!
If you’ll grab hold of a copy, I’d be pleased!
I’ll be in your care!
It’s been a long time preparing for this, so I think I’m really happy to be finally able to convey this to you all!
To be honest, when I first started going on the path of a seiyuu, whenever there’d be talk about me going on stage, I never could imagine how the me singing songs would look like.
I’m a seiyuu until the very end, so I thought I wanted to be someone who just supports the productions I’m in.
However, as I’d challenged various things in my role as seiyuu, I’d gradually begun to think stuff like “I wanna do things like this more,” “What else should I do for the sake of broadening my range?”
If the me from that time would feel something along the lines of “becoming part of [the music industry] is a delusion!” at today’s news, now I’m boldly taking a step forward.
While it’ll take a bit longer before we can say anything more concrete, I have a lot of feelings about promoting things about me singing songs, about performing in front of everyone!
To everyone who’d been supporting me, if this new “Saito Souma” I’m conveying to you pleases you, I think I shall devote myself so that you may want to call on me!
From now on as well, the seiyuu Saito Souma will also be in your care!
Also, accompanying this turn of events, an official webpage and Twitter account had been established!
Either one is managed and updated by the staff team, and aside from this blog, they will convey various news!
Please look upon both of these kindly!
That being said, that’s the news about my debut single’s release!
Please look upon me kindly, and cheer on me continuously!
Well then, until next time!
souma blog tag | my translation index | please do not reproduce this translation anywhere without credit and permission. | the original title was フィッシュストリ. i chose to take it as “fiche”, short for microfiche, where stuff was printed on really tiny-like for easy storage, cuz it fit with the “story” half and sounded like a word Souma would use? …he also could’ve meant “fish”, though. fish story. souma, why | translated 参りたい as “you may want to call on me”, but it could also mean “you would like to fall madly in love with me”…Souma pls stop reading my mind | thanks for reading!
I wonder how long it took to get everyone in one photo anddddd I wonder who was the one that suggested this? Because whoever it was, you are the best! I thank you from the bottom of my “Utapri Maji Love Live obsessed” heart. And the quality of this photo is so good! Probably an iPhone lol. And I got this from Facebook where they said the source is from Mamo-chan. So I am assuming that they used Mamo-chan’s iPhone lol. But thank you Miyano Mamoru for sharing this legendary photo with us!
On another note, I am very, very happy that this time’s Maji Love Live stage has a lot more casts photos than before. It gives us, the fans, especially those who did not manage to see 6th stage yet, a look into 6th stage. And to me, it looks like all the Utapri seiyuus had fun and that is important to me. The bond that they created through this is so endearing to watch. But now, the DVD needs to come out faster because I wanna see for myself all the things that happened during performances that some people shared. It sounded so fun and exciting! And a bit emotional too I heard. Ahhhh. I can’t wait!
In the mean time, I’ll be satisfying my thirst and excitement with all the photos and fan reports of 6th stage lol
I’ve been thinking about this for the past several days. As an Utapri fan, I’m pumped for the upcoming 6th stage. Last year’s 5th stage was phenomenal and I’m sure that they’ll be able to do an amazing job this year. However, this year, the show will be featuring HEAVENS as well as STARISH and Quartet Night, making a grand total of 18 seiyuus sharing the same stage! That’s crazy! Good crazy, mind you, but crazy nonetheless. I kept thinking, “How is this setlist going to look like in order to incorporate all the music from this past season?” After much thought, I think I’ve come up with something that makes sense.
I can see them starting with Yume wo Uta he to (Turning Dreams into Music!) since that’s what starts the whole season and introduces each group. Maybe each seiyuu will add their little snippet of dialogue from the anime or some sort other intro.
Then, Quartet Night will go. Since they already had a live stage of their own, I’m not sure the extent of their song list, but I can see each one performing the partner song off their Maji Love Revolutions singles (ex: NO. 1, Double face, etc.). Also, there’s Kizuna and their new duet songs that were just released. Then, they’ll perform God’s Star (which will be hella epic).
Then it’s time for the other two groups. To celebrate the duet project, maybe the HEAVENS and STARISH seiyuus will alternate songs, then sing the featured duet. So for example, if it’s Tokiya and Eiji, Mamoru Miyano will sing Be the light! and Yuuma Uchida will sing Dreamer before they both sing Mighty Aura together. This pattern will continue until all seven pairs have sung. Then HEAVENS and STARISH will sing Immortal Inferno and We are STARISH! respectively.
Then, for the finale, everyone will sing Maji Love Legend Star.
I also figure that they’ll fit in Tempest and the other Maji Love songs as well, but I’m not exactly sure where they’ll put them.
That’s the list I’ve come up with, but what do you guys think?
A compilation of some highlights from the cast talks in the four volumes of Ten Count drama CDヾ(*ΦωΦ)ツ
Maeno Tomoaki (Kurose’s seiyuu): I’m slightly mysophobic. I really don’t like it when people use my bathroom…
Tachibana Shinnosuke (Shirotani’s seiyuu): Ahh! I want to use it!
Maeno: *lol* Are you a do-S?
… (when concluding the talk)
Tachibana: I got to see a lot of things that I never knew about Maeno-kun before this time.
Maeno: I hope people can take those things (about me) in a positive way.
Tachibana: Sooner or later, I’ll make sure to use your bathroom.
Maeno: *LOL* Are you a do-S?
2. Four-Letter Ikemen Friend
(CD1, still on the topic of mysophobia)
Tachibana: Do you invite friends to your house then, Maeno-kun?
Maeno: I do, but only certain people have come into my house…
Maeno: If we’re talking about the people in the (voice acting) circle, only one person has been to my place…
Maeno: …That friend of mine, um, whose name starts with a K, um, and has three, no, four letters…
Maeno: That ikemen friend of mine…
Tachibana: *laughs* Oh, ikemen! An ikemen seiyuu.
Maeno: He’s the only one who’s been to my house.
Tachibana: Wow, is that so?
Maeno: That’s how much I don’t like to let people into my house…
Maeno: So I can kind of understand Shirotani’s feelings.
3. Not Very Tiring
(CD1, at the very beginning)
Tachibana: Otsukare-sama deshita. (“Thank you for your hard work,” or more literally, “You must’ve been tired.”)
Maeno/Fukushima Jun (Mikami’s seiyuu): Otsukare-sama deshita!
Maeno: I am not very tired! (Because *nothing really happened* in CD 1 lol)
Tachibana: You’re right.
(And then in CD2)
Maeno: I think last time (in the first CD), Kurose’s aggressiveness is based more on his position as a psychologist, but this time he starts to become aggressive for his own emotional reasons… We can see more fluctuation in his emotion.
Tachibana: Yeah, you’re probably right. Since he is also starting to see how Shirotani feels, (Kurose) tries to push (their relationship) a step further.
Maeno: There is a chance that he’ll have an emotional outburst next time, and things are gonna get dramatic.
Tachibana: Well, he’s been holding himself back the whole time…
Maeno: There is a chance that we’ll feel tired after the next recording session.
During this episode of Meikoi radio, KENN, NamiD, and Nobu were playing a board game and KENN landed on a spot with the character Koizumi Yakumo on it. In the games, Yakumo came to Japan to teach English and so he has a very… unique way of talking where he mixes all these random English words into his speech and so KENN was forced to speak like Yakumo for the rest of the show……
From Tales of Festival 2015 and his interview from Tales of Memoria Artbook :)
Tales of series has a very large fanbase especially in Japan. It is one of the most popular RPG series in there, aside from Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. It is no wonder that several seiyuus also played the game.
