if you saw that I added to my masterpost earlier, you’ll know I found the Dear Deidre column featured in the corner at 0:49 of the video:

The line from the column that’s featured in the video is: “Our baby daughter hardly knows her father.”

I figured the other articles could be important, too, so I went looking at the other questions Dear Deidre published on the same day, October 9. The one in the upper left corner is this one:

The person who sent the question dated a girl who asked this person to buy her a new laptop, then ran up a £6,000 debt on their credit card, took £5,000 out of their savings, and dumped them. As the title states, she’s a gold-digger.

The one in the upper-right corner is this one:

The question is submitted by parents who have a teenager that constantly begs them for money and material objects.

Aaaand this one is in the lower left:

And with that, we’ve successfully sourced all of the items in that frame!

I love all your kanas but Iago!Kana is my favourite. I just wonder how Corrin and Iago interact even if their married Iago is still kind of well... Iago... Do they kind of get along just for Kana's sake? Sorry if it is a weird ask.

I can’t believe it, I’ve drawn the boy only twice and yet he has a fan. Amazing.

I don’t really know how to answer. This isn’t really a ship I ship and it’s not a pairing I’d really think much about. Not my thing. I drew the Kana cause I got a couple asks but other than that… yeah, not my thing. Sorry about that jahfkjahf

Dude. Dude, I know. Here’s some great stuff about Keith that fandom can no longer deny:

  • when asked to describe himself he first comes up blank
  • no mentions of his talents whatsoever?? he’s not arrogant
  • in fact he has no trouble admitting that he’s bad at something
  • keeps saying that he pilots the black lion but refuses to say that he’s the black paladin
  • he thinks that being part Galra might be why he has always been bad at connecting with people
  • automatically plays around with his knife when the Galra part gets mentioned
  • THE STUPID CHEER FROM S1 IS STILL ON HIS MIND
  • is very straightforward and wants to avoid complicated stuff as much as possible
  • apologized twice for blowing up; he’s self-conscious about his temper
  • [voice crack] “I don’t know why I’m that way”
  • is aware of his abandonment issues
  • is also aware that he puts some walls up
  • tries to compose himself by rubbing his fingers together
  • knows when he is about to cry and promised himself not to do it ((in front of the camera/a potential audience at least))

HE’S. SO GREAT. SO SO GREAT. He’s much more self-aware than fandom gives him credit for. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH ;A;

Maybe I wanted to draw some younger Keith and Lance getting to know each other, maybe I just wanted to draw Keith in a band shirt.

ok but what if BTS doesn’t want to wake up Yoongi not because they’re scared of angering him, but they actually don’t want to wake up him because they know how hard working he is and how less sleep he gets so they want to let him rest whenever he can

If you had told Harry Potter, back in his first year of Hogwarts, that he’d be sharing custody of a child with Draco Malfoy, he would have laughed. Loudly. But here he was, fifteen years later, and one of Teddy Lupin’s two legal guardians.

When Harry had accepted Remus’s offer to be Teddy’s godfather, although in the thick of war, he still never considered he’d actually have to raise someone else’s child. Teddy’s grandmother, Andromeda, had taken care of Teddy originally, which Harry was glad of - a 17 year old did not a father make. Still, he made sure to visit often. He knew what it was like to grow up without parents.

Harry wasn’t surprised that Draco visited just as often. Andromeda was his aunt after all, making Teddy his first cousin once removed.

Harry didn’t make a fuss the first time they’d bumped into each other at Andromeda’s, even though the last time they’d seen each other had been at Hogwarts, in the middle of a war, on opposite sides. He trusted Andromeda, and if she, as fiercely protective as she was, trusted Draco around Teddy, that was enough for Harry to do the same. Although, he still watched closely, curious to understand Draco’s behaviour.

Years past and Andromeda grew weary. She had already raised one child, and she was far too old to be chasing after another. As godfather, Harry knew it was his responsibility to take over as Teddy’s guardian, and no longer a teenager, he felt like he was ready. But Draco had insisted that it was he who should become guardian, as a blood relative.

They had argued like they might have back in their Hogwarts days, with taunts and snide jabs, even a  few hexes, before Andromeda put a stop to it. “How do either of you expect to raise a child if you still act like children yourselves?” She had yelled at them both, her words striking home as always.

Shared custody was Andromeda’s idea, but they both agreed it would be the best option for Teddy. He had already grown attached to both of them, and they both loved Teddy as if he was their own. On that, they were in agreement, if nothing else.

These days, they saw a lot of each other. Teddy made sure of that. They hadn’t quite reconciled all their differences, but they were civil, even polite to each other. They had to be for Teddy. But there was such a coldness to their interactions sometimes, that Harry wondered if it would be better if they just went at it, like they really wanted to. Said what they were really thinking.

Like that time when Draco dropped Teddy off at Harry’s office in the middle of a work day because he had an appointment, and Harry said, “Of course, no problem Draco. Please take your time,” but what he’d really wanted to say was, “You couldn’t have given me some warning so I could plan my day around this, you inconsiderate prat?”

Or the time Draco had taken Teddy on holiday and returned a day later than expected, and Harry said, “That’s okay, Draco, I’m glad you’re both back. I’m sure Teddy had a great time,” but what he’d really wanted to say was, “I thought you were both dead you selfish jerk, you never thought to owl ahead to let me know?”

Or last week when Draco had to reschedule their agreed custody routine because he had a date on Thursday night and Harry said, “Hope you have a lovely night,” but what he’d really wanted to say was, “I hope your date throws wine in your face and leaves you with the bill.”

It’s not like Teddy didn’t know what was going on. He was a perceptive kid. The whole situation was ridiculous.

This is one of the most shallow reasons for why Kara and Lena are a great match (especially because there are so many great non shallow reasons) but I love that Kara won’t have to worry about spending any extra money she has on food because Lena’s a damn billionaire. I know it’s a running gag about how much Kara loves food but she honestly needs a lot of it.

Kara probably has a semi decent income from CatCo but with all her expenses and the fact that she most likely isn’t paid by the DEO, every leftover penny goes to making sure she gets enough calories, especially after she becomes Supergirl and starts using her powers on a daily basis. That’s a ton of food she has to buy in order to balance out how many calories she burns.

But she never wants Lena to think she’s using the woman for her money. Never. So she insists on splitting the bill or ordering much less than she needs if Lena insists on paying and Lena finds it so damn frustrating because why won’t her best friend let her pay for her food???

Until one day it just clicks for Lena after she’s told the Supergirl secret and has done the calorie math in her head and God Kara how are you able to afford all the food that you need? and the next day when Kara walks into her apartment, she sees that Lena has finally used the key she was given to completely overstock Kara’s kitchen with all sorts meals, snacks, protein bars, etc., with a simple note on the counter saying Let me know when you’re running low and it’s stupid but Kara finds herself getting emotional at Lena’s complete acceptance of who she is.

So there’s one bit near the end of the Genocide Run that hit me pretty hard, personally. And as with most things that hit me very hard emotionally, it was a random almost throwaway line that wasn’t written to be focused on that much. But whether it intentionally held the meaning I took from it or not, it doesn’t change the fact that I DID take meaning from it.

When Flowey is monologuing near the very very end of the game and explaining what he went through, he talks about how he lacks the ability to feel anything for the people around him, and how desperately, frantically, he wishes he did. He talks about how, at first, he tried to help people. He talks about how at first it seemed to help, but every time it was time to let go, to move on, he got scared and couldn’t do it. He’d panic and reset instead. And how then he’d be right back where he started. And he would try helping everyone again.

But it became hollow. Everyone always said the exact same things, and did the exact same things. And nothing changed. And nothing new ever happened.

And eventually, just out of sheer desperation for SOMETHING new, he decided to kill everyone. And how that was at first a relief, but even that grew stale and empty as he did it over and over again. Until he was left with nothing, and there was nothing to care about, either for better or worse, but he couldn’t let go either. So he was trapped in this world where nothing ever changed, and he couldn’t make himself leave.

It’s a sad story, but it’s also a bit of a gut punch because of its implications.

Maybe in time, the person playing the game, the actual human being behind the keyboard, not the pixel character they control, would find themselves in the exact same situation. Eventually, things in a game stop changing. Characters always say the same things, do the same things. And maybe in time, as boredom takes over, the player would also try a genocide game just for SOMETHING new. But eventually even that will become empty and lead to nowhere after you do it enough.

I can’t really say if that’s true or not. I can’t say it’s false either.

But It’s 2 years now. And a lot of us are still here. And more importantly a lot of us still care. Quite deeply in fact.

And maybe we won’t care forever, maybe the same thing will happen, or more likely, we’d be the ones able to let go and move on to other things and let go. Maybe there’s no escaping that.

But it’s been 2 years, and at least for now, we’re still here.

There is also the possibility I’ve considered, that since the insane success of the game was never expected or anticipated at all, that the level of love it caused in gamers was a complete and utter surprise, maybe their ability to never fall into that cycle of apathy and just how long they can keep going, caring as hard as ever, will also be a complete surprise that was never foreseen.

Or even more simply, maybe Flowey just needed to be shown, as with so many things, he was wrong about that too.

Who knows. Honestly I can’t say how things will look in time. It could either way.

But at least by year 2 we were still here.

My Top 3 pick: #2 Choon Entertainment’s Kim Yongguk/Jin Longguo (the hidden jewel)

“No one knows who i am. No one knows what kind of person I am. I would feel confident if there is someone that will care about me. I want to hear ‘Kim Yongguk did well’”

P/S: You did very well! You have changed a lot. You have improved. I am so happy you gained confidence. You made so many friends and no more being alone. I will always support you and let’s debut in the near future. I’ll wait.

Dream Daddy Does Not = Game Grumps

Hey guys and gals friendly reminder that Game Grumps are NOT the creative team behind Dream Daddy. The creators are completely different people. If you have qualms about Arin and Dan and their involvement in the game I have good news for you: They didn’t write it! They aren’t directing it! All they are doing is voice acting and publishing the game.

Again: CREATORS OF DREAM DADDY ARE NOT ARIN AND DAN OF GAME GRUMPS.

(I was gonna include this in the answer to the “what’s changed” asked but it’s a little bit of a bummer, still, good expo: So far the bad thing about taking their relationship one day at a time in regards to growth is that without expectations they’re not really planning either.

Their eagerness to get married kinda blinds them to what they’re really gonna have to do to make that happen. Not just getting to California, but if they can’t travel pretty soon after, it would sort of break their hearts.

And after that, how do they live? Surely she won’t come stay with him in his tiny dressing room he uses as a bedroom. The most obvious answer is for Bendy to come to the Grzeskiewicz home since it’s big and kind of a central meeting place anyway, but would he really want to share India with Godwin like that? And how would he get to the theater where he actually works every day?

They’re already getting a taste of this in that they don’t actually have many opportunities to stay overnight with each other, lest India have to bike Bendy all the way to the theater district every morning, which works but is a pretty major pain. Bendy never thought he’d be so jealous simply knowing Bee and Boris just sleep together every night.

It comes down almost entirely to money, but also convenience too and the difficulty of change. Would India want to leave Godwin alone if they had the chance to find some place for themselves? And would Bendy want to leave the convenience of living where Boris and their job is? It’s not like it’s an impossible choice, after all Henry is moving back to his old home when Linda gets back. They’ll all congregate the way they always do anyway during the day, but change is still hard. Where’s the middle ground?

I think they’ve sort of jumped ahead because they know that once they are married, they’ll face some difficulties; but they forgot that the actual startup of it isn’t gonna be much easier for them than any other young couple. Pretty soon they’re gonna have to come down from the excitement of the “we’re gonna get married” hype and realize that this isn’t going to be a flawless transition. -HG)
