Baby Howlett (II) | Old Man Logan

So you guys have been demanding for this to be written since April, and I thought.. well, why not? But I’m going to make this clear now, there will not be a third part to this fic. I just wanted to kick off for whenever I open all Logan requests again sometimes within the first or second week of June!

Previously - Logan learns of your pregnancy through Lauras confession.

Now - Snippets of the most precious times throughout your pregnancy lead you up to one of the happiest days of your life; the birth of your daughter y/d/n Howlett.

Warnings: none? Logan is head over heels for his daughter????

ITALICS ARE FLASHBACKS; flashbacks are a sonogram appointment and Logan meeting your baby for the first time. Anything in regular text is present.

Guys, when I open my Logan requests again, I’m going to finish the fics with no links in my Masterlist; AND THEN I AM ONLY TAKING THE FIRST DOZEN REQUESTS. I have no motivation to write for Logan anymore (I still love him tho) and would much rather write for someone else given that he has the most prompts of any character in my masterlist.

“Who is the Last Young Renegade?

After all this time writing music, playing in a band- checking moment after moment off the bucket list- collecting mistakes, making memories, I wondered what it might be like to write about myself if I wasn’t the one standing in my shoes. Who am I from the other side of the mirror?

I tried to change perspective in my approach to writing and center in on all of the different versions of me that other people might have met over the years, through the ups and the downs, in the public eye and behind closed doors. Would I like this person? Do I like this person? Do I even recognize this person anymore?

I realized that there’s a lot more to me than I’m usually ready to acknowledge, both good and bad. In that realization, I noticed a common thread. We are who we are, even when we try our hardest not to be.

It’s a challenge to accept it sometimes. I gave those other sides of me a persona, and a name– then came the stories like a flood. It was a way for me to confront demons without having to sit at the dinner table with them.

That’s the journey on this record: a story of self-realization. Of growing into your own skin through the eyes of someone watching it all unfold on the big screen, wearing a ‘Frankie Says Relax’ t-shirt. Like watching an old familiar movie, but suddenly you’re Marty McFly.

We tried a lot of new things on this album, all within the context of what we love so much about All Time Low– There’s no denying that we were binge watching Stranger Things at the time, while also reflecting on the loss of some of our favorite musicians; Prince, Bowie, George Michael… I think the influence comes through in the best ways. We all felt pulled to exciting and different places as we searched for inspiration, approaching something that’s become so familiar to us from a new direction.

I truly hope everyone listening enjoys this record as much as I do. It’s been an amazing journey.

The album comes out June 2nd and will be available for pre-order on Friday, Feb 24th. We’ll also be posting some pre-order merch bundles, so stay tuned. Pre-order options will be up on alltimelow.com.

The Larry Fanfiction Remix Fic Fest is all about creating a new fic inpired by a previous author’s work.

Sign ups will open on April 10th!

  • Sign ups close May 1st at 12:00 AM
  • First check in - May 20 - 27 (2k minimum)
  • Second Check in - June 20 - 27 (5k minimum)
  • Fics due - August 1st

FAQ -

What is a Remix Fic Fest?

Basically, a Remix Fic Fest is when authors choose another author’s universe and create a continuation of the story, or an entirely new one within the same universe. It takes the basic elements of an existing story and combines them in a new way to offer a different take on the plot, the characters, etc. This is essentially creating a fanfic of a fanfic.

What fics can we remix?

We have gotten permission from some of our favorite authors, found here. If your favorite is not listed, you may ask them for permission yourself. We will need proof of permission at time of sign-up.

(will be updated as we get more questions!)

Rules -

  • You MUST pick one of the authors that has given us permission, or give us obvious proof of permission from a different author.
  • Your fic MUST be at least 7k
  • You MUST check in with us on the scheduled check in days, or you will be kicked out of the fest and no longer have permission to post your remixed fic.
  • Your fic must NOT be an exact copy of the original fic you have chosen to remix.
  • Your fic MUST have Harry/Louis as the main pairing.
  • Your fic MUST follow the rules the author has given (if they have done so)
  • Your fic MUST be beta’d

QUESTION -

Would you rather have only 3 people allowed to remix each fic, on a first come first serve basis OR no limit?

Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have!

Make sure to follow lfremix for updates!

Not to toot my own horn too hard, but this piece has been a helluva ride. Finishing tomorrow and it’ll be like the last pages of an amazing book. As much as I’m ready to call it done, I kind of wish it didn’t stop.

The next piece I paint will be after I move to Texas. I’ll have my studio up and running again in the second week of June.

It’s going to take me 8 hour days leading right up until gen con to pull the concept off + I’ll have to ship it overnight to get it to the convention. It’s going to be a wild couple of months. Glad to have you folks along for the ride.

'Preacher': Ruth Negga says season 2 is 'a road trip that goes horribly wrong'

The first season of AMC’s comic book adaptation Preacher could hardly have ended in more dramatic fashion as the inhabitants of Annville, Texas, discovered that God had disappeared from Heaven and then the town itself was destroyed in an unfortunate kinky sex-related cow manure accident (long story). By the time that latter news broke, the show’s three main characters — Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Tulip (Ruth Negga), and the vampire Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) — were embarking on a quest to find God and then either help Him out or, to quote Jesse, “kick His ass.”

According to Negga, Tulip and Cassidy’s hopes for “a lovely adventure” are soon dashed in the season 2 premiere. “It’s a road trip that goes horribly wrong,” laughs the actress. “Tulip’s expecting a great fun time, like a road trip you take with your friends, and it doesn’t end up quite like that. Tulip’s not that interested in looking for God; I don’t think she really believes in it. But unfortunately, her soul mate is Jesse and that’s what he wants. Tulip and Cassidy don’t really have any other options. He’s a vampire and she’s on the lam her whole life. Their only option is to go on the road with this other miscreant who they expect will show them a good time — but just doesn’t.”

The first season of Preacher — whose executive producers include Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and showrunner Sam Catlin — was shot in Albuquerque, New Mexico. But for season 2, the production moved to New Orleans, an important locale in the original, much-loved comic book by Garth Ennis and the late Steve Dillon. “They’re kind of nowhere, they’re in limbo,” says Negga. “They need a focus, and the focus becomes New Orleans, unfortunately for my character, Tulip, because she has history there. She tries to put the whole notion of going there off-course, but doesn’t succeed, and then we find out why she doesn’t want to go there.”

While Tulip may not want to revisit New Orleans, Negga was more than happy to be shooting in NOLA. “Well, I’ve been there a few times before, so I knew the town quite well,” says the actress, whose other credits include last year’s Loving, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. “It’s one of those towns that reveals itself immediately; it doesn’t have any kind of secrets, yet it seems to have many, in that kind of strange way. It’s a fun place, but it also has a macabre element and a gothic element, and it’s very proud of all of those things, which I love.”

You can exclusively see a new image of Negga as Tulip, above. Preacher season 2 returns with a two-night event, beginning with the season premiere on Sunday, June 25, 10pm ET, followed by the second episode on Monday, June 26, 9pm ET, in the series’ regular time slot.
