seaworld cruelty

  • what she says: i'm fine
  • what she means: i'm crying because tilikum died as miserable as he lived in this cement tank but i can't tell you because you're a hypocrite and you actually don't care about animal cruelty so you'll probably call me crazy and change the topic to something unimportant
Carnist Logic..

Carnist: DON’T DE CLAW YOUR CATS! THAT’S ANIMAL CRUELTY!!

youtube

This video is so misleading, I want to puke. Tilikum is playing with a ball on a “string”, alone in a tank, swimming circles and this pro cap is calling him happy. She even goes on to blatantly lie stating that he even does a voluntary jump - followed by a trainer whistle? OH YA REAL VOLUNTARY. Here are a *couple* of links to YouTube that show Tilikum when trainers aren’t telling him what do to do:

Tilikum Logging

Tilikum Logging

Tilikum Logging - This person is annoying, Tilikum is in a training session in the beginning of this video, but logs intermittently. It’s recorded by a pro cap, and the video is edited.

Tilikum Logging - Same person, just mute it if you want to keep your sanity.

Tilikum Logging

Tilikum (AND BONUS, TRUA LOGGING) Logging (MUTE MUTE MUTE OMG THIS GIRL IS CRYING CALLING TILIKUM HER BABY)

Tilikum Logging, oh, and an EED is nearby and he doesn’t give a shit

Tilikum Logging with his mouth open

Tilikum locked in the back pool during shows

Tilikum swims constant circles around his pool

There are more, this was just a ten minute search using the phrase ‘tilikum 2014′

Kohana Gives Birth to Adan - October 13th 2010

In the wild, killer whales live in complex social groupings, and almost every behavior that they know has been taught/passed down from generation to generation. For example, a mother showing her young daughter how to raise a calf. Kohana was taken from her own mother at the age of 3 ½, and probably never learned how to properly care for her offspring. You can clearly see she swims by him and shows no interest in helping her newborn baby to the surface to take any of his first breaths. Adan was rejected by his own mother, something that would never happen (by pure choice) to a wild orca calf, and had to be bottle fed and raised by humans. He has never known a mother, and never will. They still reside together, however Kohana plays no maternal role, they do not share a mother-calf bond which is extremely important. This is a risky, unnatural, and just plain cruel outcome of SeaWorld’s captive breeding program - and a perfect example of why it should not be allowed to continue.

I have health issues that make it so I have to eat meat. If I don't get a super large amount of protein I will die. And I love animals and have been anti-animal abuse since I was a tot. Realize that some of us have reasons to eat meat, please.

Hey! That’s horrible. I haven’t seen any vegan ever say that absolutely everybody can eat meat, but here’s some things you can do if you’re anti animal abuse:

- Eat only certified free range products
- Boycott zoos, seaworld, etc.
- Buy only cruelty free makeup/hygiene products
- Avoid leather, wool, and furs at all costs

Also, I’m not one to speak on conditions that I know nothing about, but doesn’t protein powder work as a supplement for large amounts of protein? Correct me if I’m wrong.
