So I’ve seen a couple of people say that they miss the Deckerstar we got in seasons 1 & 2.
I think we all miss that Deckerstar. The fun, flirty, a little awkward and heartwarming, Deckerstar. We all miss it.
But here’s the thing.
Having them go back to that after all they went through and how hurt they are, is bad writing.
There have to be consequences for actions, and the writers are doing a magnificent job with that. And we still get Deckerstar. Maybe in smaller doses and maybe not all that flirty. But they are certainly still fun and they certainly still care. The first episodes of season 3 quite prove that, and I wonder if we are watching the same show, if those people can’t catch that Deckerstar is still very much alive and going.
So me and a couple friends binged Miraculous Ladybug yesterday… (including finding the two new episodes released in other regions yesterday)
The whole Marinette-Adrian-Ladybug-Cat Noir love square is absolutely amazing in the most wholesome of ways.
Marinette (and to some extent Adrian) is the most oblivious person… she had at least 3 or 4 blatant chances to realize Adrian’s double identity as Chat Noir.
Also her mental BSODs whenever Adrian is around/interacts with her are adorable. I can’t wait to see the hard crash in the reveal.
With at least 3 akuma incidences
(including himself being akumatized)
you’d think that Jagged Stone would just nope out of Paris forever… (never mind putting up with Chloe…)
Also? Best akuma-villain? Guitar Villain. HE GOT A DRAGON. THAT IS ALL. ALL OTHER AKUMA-VILLAINS BOW BEFORE HIM. GUITAR SOLO!!!!
How many times will Adrian and Marinette change in the middle of the park or street, where anyone can see them!
The Puppeteer was probably the closest to getting the Miraculouses, if she had been a little bit older or had a few more dolls. There were a couple others who got pretty close too.
On that topic, is there some sort of limit on how many people can be uniquely akumatized at once?
And of course S2E1 confirmed what everyone was thinking.
Also I didn’t know that Adrian’s mom had disappeared so recently- I thought it was years ago, not 1 year. Good to know Adrian grew up knowing his mom. (also I didn’t realize it was a disappearance until the Christmas special- they always seemed to imply that she had died.
Mr Cuddles is the best.
Alya is honestly the best wingman(wingwoman?).
Speaking of Alya, how will she react if she discovers Marinette is Ladybug?
There are so many more reactions to the show but they ain’t coming to me right now… but I am so excited for the rest of S2!
Under the cut you’ll find roughly 66 gifs of the beautiful Pepi Sonuga as Tangey Turner from Famous In Love Season 1 Episode 2. Sonuga is famous for her roles as Lacey Emery in Ash vs Evil Dead and as Sally Benton in The Fosters .Ethnically, Sonuga is of African (Nigerian((9ja represent)) descent, so please cast her accordingly. The gifs are all small/medium, textless, and mostly hq (look this was definitely not the best clip so it’s not the best gifs). Any repeats were completely unintentional or to lighten the gif. I made all of these gifs and honestly you can use them in anyway but if you add them to a crackship or gif hunt or anything of the sort please give me credit. Please like or reblog if you plan on using. FLASHING TW. Thank you! 3/?
I feel like those that cling to the clone theory just dont want Shiro to change. But if he doesnt change then he becomes the Mary Sue of the story. I actually want Shiro to evolve and be a jerk and do some bad stuff just so we can see some character development for him
Well the clone theory is not a bad theory (it’s wrong..(sorry team notmyshiro haha, but it’s not bad, i think they intended for people to think that), and I do think season 1-2 Shiro can totally be a clone of the original Shiro.
Also I think there are many reasons for why ppl want season 3-4 Shiro to be a clone *cough* hair *cough*. I really understand some of them haha, but same as you I’d also rather have voltron not go the “brainwashing” “clone” way with Shiro, because I feel like that will just take away all character development from him in favor of some drama. (there’s only so much episodes left..and alot of characters and plot to cover)
I would love it if they really go the PTSD way with him, and it turns out Shiro was acting the way he’s acting because of how the things he experienced affected him, because that’s an important thing to show, and an important story to tell. and imo atleast will be a way more interesting story than some cheap “oh no he’s an evil clone/ brainwashed by someone evil” plot twist.
And maybe people who dun wanna see Shiro change, never noticed how alot of how he is doesn’t come from a very healthy place?
I mean when I look at Shiro’s character I feel like I dun really want him to grow to be a great leader, I just want him to grow to be himself. And if his real self is a great leader that is very passionate about leading (and not just doing it because he always needs to be needed and depended upon and thinks everything is his responsibility and fault) then awesome! .
But I feel like you kinda get the vibe he’s not doing it because he loves it, but because he feels like he has to or that he uses it to cope with what he’s been through or because that’s what people expect him to do.
So as far as where I want to see Shiro go as a character and a person in the show, I feel like I just want to see who he really is behind all those leader/ perfect soldier masks most of all.
Like, with Keith (with all his reluctance about it) I actually see a very clear passion for leadership deep within his heart. (you admire people you want and wish to be like, and Keith really admires Shiro, he doesn’t think he can be like Shiro cuz he still has alot of insecurities, but I’m pretty sure he wants and aspires to be a good leader just like him) Keith is troubled emo reckless loner on the outside, incredible (yet still somewhat insecure) leader on the inside.
With Shiro I just see a sense of responsibility and fear most of the time haha.
So yeah, let Shiro be human! Let him fuck up and fail, let him crumble under pressure, let him be selfish and weak and petty and an asshole. Make him relatable. Those are the best kind of heroes. Everytime Shiro does something that breaks that “perfect leader/hero”’ image I just love his character even more! I’m really thirsty for screw up Shiro that has no idea what he’s actually doing and is barley holding it all together hoping no one will notice haha
Give me more of this real Shiro and his dark gloomy sense of humor, the one that goes “well shit guess i’m still alive but not for long cuz everything is fucked and theres no hope” and needs Keith to give him motivational speeches haha
I LOVED that Shiro! I need more of him. Away with his “perfect leader/sweet angel that can do no wrong” persona! Let him be as much of a mess as the rest of them haha
