seadwellers

anonymous asked:

Would any seadwellers in this Au have any differences from regular ones for living in a urban area? Ex: A seadweller from the city is more resistant to certain chemicals then one that on the coast? (I just thought about this and was curious. Also possibly made a run off idea if It was true for a idea but then wondered if it was a Thing. Anyway!)

Kiiiiiiiiiiiinda? The reason that’s kind of iffy is because it depends on where the mother grub that laid the eggs resides. Since there are more of those in this world than in canon, that does allow for some environmental adaptation, but there’s not THAT many. As a general rule, though, a troll from the same geographical area is probably not gonna be all that different from any other. But because seadwellers are definitely a thing, there is waaaaaay more oversight on the kinds of chemicals that can be allowed into the water table. Regulations out the ass. That’d actually make a halfway decent villain (corrupt corporate dude who don’t give no shits about dead seadwellers), though it would probably come across a little too Captain Planet. Might make a good mystery caper, though.
