fortroughs replied to your post “Mister Yao – do you know what Global Warming is? How does it work? I…”

Oh! That makes sense. But how do I help fix it?

[Oh you precious child]

It’s… well, it’s difficult Peter. The simplest things we can do is try to reduce the amount of energy we use and the amount of waster we produce.

As personifications, there’s very little we can do.

fortroughs  asked:

Mister Yao -- do you know what Global Warming is? How does it work? I know it makes the planet really hot and really cold, but how?

G-global warming? Climate is a very… complicated thing. How should I say…

[pauses… how the heck does one explain global warming to a child?]

We’re polluting our earth, and it’s trying it’s best to change back. If we push it too far, though, it won’t be the same, safe earth again. Does that make sense?

[Not that the earth was ever safe in the first place]
