Pack Mother - Derek Hale - Part 3
Characters: Scott McCall, Derek Hale, Werewolf!Stiles, PackMom! ReaderScott was frantic, pacing in front of you, Derek, and Stiles. “So you’re saying the bullet was laced with…”
“Werewolf venom. Y'know, what goes into the body when you bite someone.” Derek says.
Stiles stood up. “How long will this take?” He looks at you
“About a week, fully…right?” You look to Derek and he nods.
“I’m a freakin’ werewolf!” Stiles waves his arms around, “I’m a freakin’ werewolf.” He says quieter this time. You can see him start to freak out.
“Hey, hey..it’ll be fine.” You walk over and put your hands on his shoulders. “Derek and I will be here for you, okay? Anything you need, anything you want..we’ve got it covered.”
“I need to go. I have to go talk to my dad.” Stiles looks around for his keys.
“I’m not sure you should leave so soon after turning..not by yourself anyway.” Derek looks at Stiles.
“I’ll be fine. I’m just going to the station.”
He turns and starts to walk out. “Be careful, please!” You yell.
You turn and look at Scott. He has tears welling in his eyes. “This is all my fault.”
You step towards him but Derek beats you to it. “No one could’ve predicted this, Scott. This is nobody’s fault. Stiles is turning and we can’t change that, all we can do is be happy that we have another true member of the pack.”
Scott looks up at Derek and sighs. “I guess you’re right..I should’ve never let Stiles come with me though.”
You chuckle, “Are you serious? You cannot tell that boy no. If you’d left him by himself he would’ve turned up anyway.”Scott smiles and you rub his arm. “He’ll be back soon and we can all talk about it okay?” Scott nodded, you could tell he felt better.
You’d decided it was against your better judgement to let Stiles go on his own. He never came back and after multiple calls to his cellphone you’d become worried. Derek stayed the night in case he came back, he was up all night trying to comfort you. The two of you had finally fallen asleep around 5 a.m.
You woke up and glanced at the clock, 7 a.m. You groan and sit up, rubbing your eyes before grabbing your phone. You go downstairs to see if Derek was still asleep on the couch. You pad through your house, pleasantly surprised to find him sitting on your sofa with no shirt on. The things you could do to him…but that was beside the point. You needed to find Stiles.
“Hey, any word yet?” He asks and you shake your head and sigh.
“I’m so worried, I can’t tell the pack because if they worry it’ll be ten times worse..I’m in a bind here, Derek.”He stood up and walked over to you. “Let me go look for him. I’ll keep you posted, but I’ll search the whole town if I have to.”
“You’d really do that?” He places a hand on your cheek and you smile.
“Y/N, the kid may be a pain, but I love the little asshole.”
You laugh and look up at him. “Thank you. You have no idea how much this means to me.”
Derek left and you sat outside on the front porch, checking your phone every five minutes.
You’re typing a message to send to Kira right as you smell blood. You head snaps up, looking at Stiles standing in front of you.
“Oh my god, babe what happened?” You jump up and pull him into a hug. “I was so worried. I have to..I have to call Derek. What happened?” He shrugs and you dial Derek, cradling the phone between your ear and shoulder. You guide him inside, sitting him on the couch.
“No update for you. Sorry.” Derek answers the phone as you open the fridge to get Stiles some food.
“He’s here. He just showed up.” You say quickly, sticking a container in the microwave.
“I’ll be right there. I shouldn’t be too long.” He hung up and you grabbed Stiles a drink. When the food was done you took everything to Stiles and sat beside him. He ate eagerly.
“Are you not going to talk to me? I’ve been worried about you all night.”
“I don’t want to talk about it.” He mutters.
“Stiles, if you don’t tell me what’s going on I can’t help you through this.”
You heard Derek come in and you waved him into the living room.
“Look, I turned, okay? I pulled over because I started feeling sick and I turned. I woke up in the woods, covered in blood. I don’t know what happened..I just blacked out.”
He stands and sighs, running his fingers over the dry blood. “I healed so fast I don’t know what the cuts even looked like.”
Derek approaches him, taking his head in his hand. He turns his face to the side, examining the blood. “Let’s go talk?”
Stiles nods and follows him outside. You sit on the couch for awhile, before deciding to go upstairs and shower. You change into your favorite dress before you come back downstairs. You felt more sane now, you hadn’t showered since Stiles got shot.
Derek and Stiles were sat on the couch smiling at you. “Better?” You asked Stiles and he nodded. “Why don’t you go shower? I’m sure you can find clothes up there to wear. I think I’ve got a whole closet worth of the pack’s clothes.” He thanks you and head upstairs and you sit with Derek.
“He imprinted on me.” He said lowly.
You look at him, mildly surprised. “Really? I thought he’d be the last person..”
“I know. I did some thinking…I think that us as a duo is going to go down in history.”
“Oh, yeah? Why’s that?” You smile.
“Well, for one thing..I have a soft spot for the kids you’re tougher on, same with you with the kids I’m tough on..I think that we are going to balance each other out very well. I’m excited to see where we go as pack parents.”
You watch as he talks, explaining himself. “I agree. I look forward to doing business with you.” You grin, making him laugh.
This won’t be so bad.
