ARC-77, known as “Fordo,” was an Advanced Recon Commando captain in the Grand Army of the Republic. In22 BBY, he was assigned to a task force led by the Jedi Knight General Obi-Wan Kenobi, to take theConfederate-held world of Muunilinst. Together with a group of clone troopers that would later come to be known as The Muunilinst 10, Fordo proved instrumental in the Battle of Muunilinst, leading his troops to destroy an enemy artillery emplacement, and then helping Kenobi capture the enemy leader, San Hill.
Immediately after the battle was over, Fordo was dispatched to the planet Hypori, where a group of Jedi Knights had been trapped by the Confederate General Grievous. Making their way to the Jedi’s location, Fordo and his men battled Grievous, but were unable to kill him. They were, however, able to recover three survivors: Ki-Adi-Mundi, Aayla Secura, and Shaak Ti. In 19 BBY, Fordo was on Coruscant when the planet was attacked by the Confederacy. Despite facing overwhelming numbers, Fordo and his men were able to beat back a portion of the attacking force with the help of the Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Yoda.
The Coruscant Underworld Police were police officers of the Coruscant Security Force assigned specifically to patrol the underworld of the planet Coruscant. Those officers who were assigned to the underworld were notoriously hardened and burly cops, as opposed to the sleek police droids primarily assigned to the upper levels of Galactic City. Underworld Police officers wore heavy leather and metal armor with mechanical eye coverings, which gave them extra protection and anonymity, while denoting an authoritative presence. Around 20 BBY, underworld cops took part in the search for fugitive Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, who was eventually captured. After the formation of the Galactic Empire, Underworld Police officers were used for patrol on the upper levels of Coruscant, not just the lower ones.
Zannah, known as “Rain” during her childhood, was a Human female from the planet Somov Rit. She was recruited to fight for the Jedi’s Army of Light during the Ruusan campaign of the New Sith Wars but, after arriving on Ruusan, was separated from the group during a Sith attack and presumed dead. Unbeknownst to the Jedi, she had been saved and befriended by a member of the native Bouncer species called Laa. When the Brotherhood of Darkness later unleashed a planet-wide Force storm, Rain survived by instinctively enveloping herself and Laa with a bubble of Force energy. Not long afterward, the young girl watched as Laa was haplessly killed by Jedi scouts. Stricken with anger and grief, she unwittingly gave in to the dark side and murdered the Jedi. Her display of rage attracted the attention of the war’s only surviving Dark Lord, Darth Bane, who decided to take her as his apprentice. Rain cast away the handle of her youth and instead embraced her birth name, becoming Darth Zannah.
