school lectures

“Felix Gonzalez-Torres ‘Untitled’ (Portrait of Ross)is an allegorical representation of the artist’s partner, Ross Laycock, who died of an AIDS-related illness in 1991. The installation is comprised of 175 pounds of candy, corresponding to Ross’s ideal body weight. Viewers are encouraged to take a piece of candy, and the diminishing amount parallels Ross’s weight loss and suffering prior to his death. Gonzalez-Torres stipulated that the pile should be continuously replenished, thus metaphorically granting perpetual life.”

Sunday 4 december || busy busy busy

A pic from a lecture last week that I forgot to post 🙈 It’s the busiest time of the semester right now, so I have been kinda AWOL… as usual. I did have some nice family time during Sinterklaas this week so that’s really nice!!
For today it’s work, planning for finals and then we go again! 💪

A Shia

A Shia is never scared to listen to any speaker from any religion, because a Shia knows a) there is no harm in gaining more knowledge, and b) we are not scared (threatened) to listen to anything you have to say. A school that is scared of listening to another lecturer from another school is one that believes it is a shaky school. So they don’t want to go and listen to anyone else (as to not rock their fragile foundation).

BEFORE, DURING and AFTER a class or lecture. Hands down this is the best advice ever. I’ve been a huge supporter of this strategy and was so happy to see that someone else shares the same view ! Yay! I thought I was the only nerd out there who reads the material, takes notes and prepares questions before the lecture. Thanks for sharing this IG@studyguidelover 😊 cute doodles! Love it 👍👍
