save our wells

“You must charm her!”

These cutie pies

Our spiritual growth is of more value than our material wealth and needs to be given our highest priority.

Sometimes we focus and invest too much into something that do not last forever like career, relationship with other people, and other commitments. We focus too much on these things that we forget what really matters. Life is too short to not live it for the Lord and not live it according to His will.

Because anytime soon He will come, and the careers we have now, the earthly relationships we have and commitments with them won’t help us get to the next level. These won’t save us, only Jesus saves. It is our spiritual well-being that we need to focus on and not these earthly things and sometimes all we need is a little reminder.

I mean, no matter what at least you won't be ruled by Trump. We're dying over here. Please save us.

(Well our Le Pen is the same as your Trump but she is more intelligent so it might be worse actually. At least for us because we will have your Trump for the international business and our Le pen for the national business…

So really, help us. XD

You were sitting on a swing set, just dragging your legs in the sand waiting for Dongrim. It seems like that’s all you do these days. Always waiting. It started raining over an hour ago, and it didn’t feel like it was going to let up anytime soon.

Any sane person would have gone back home, or at least went to seek shelter. But you weren’t sane. You’d basically gone mad. How much was enough? How far were you willing to wait?

Sometimes he’d just be late for your dates, other times he wouldn’t show up at all.

You sniffled, wiping away the tears on your face. Maybe it was time to call it quits? There was no point in being in a halfhearted relationship.

Lux would do a double take to see the Noxians in pursuit, they wouldn’t be able to follow, or at least would be heavily delayed, maybe they might even think the two died and forget the chase all together!  Hopefully they didn’t die.

She let out a little peep once the other woman took hold of her, Lux doing the same before a rather long, aggravatingly, and awkwardly long second would pass, and then they we’re off, plummeting rather rapidly down the cliffside.

“I’ll use my magic to take some of the impact!  It won’t protect us completely, but..It may well save our lives!”  Lux, was swift to act, free arm extending out a bit for her wand to materialize, taking a quick awkward swing, before a replica of her wand would surge out, a slim barrier of light wrapped around the duo in the same process, a second would be on the way, hopefully before landfall.

1993 MTV Video Music Awards: The night’s biggest winner was Pearl Jam, whose video for “Jeremy“ earned four awards that night, including Video of the Year.

"Hey everybody, this is Trevor, he lives. No, I mean, I guess you gotta say thanks. No, the real shit is, I mean, I don’t, if it weren’t for music, I think I would’ve shot myself in the front of the classroom, you know? It really is what kept me alive, so this is kind of full circle. So to the power of music, you know? Thanks!”

“You know that R.E.M song? That’s all about what I was talking about. Trying to stay alive through the crap. Maybe music is the one thing that keeps you alive or something. It’s like you should probably thank, you know? I would thank Pete Townshend, I would thank Henry Rollins and Ian from Fugazi. I’d thank all these people for giving me something to live. A reason cuz life can, you know? This modern world, it can be kinda crazy, kinda fucked up, make you wanna kill yourself. I relate to that. Music saved my soul.”

- Eddie Vedder talking about music in his acceptance speech and an interview after the show.

The Durin Brothers’ Dating Service

Based on:

You sat at the edge of camp as usual, you had always been a bit of a loner. You had only come on the quest because Balin had very heavily suggested it. He had played on your pride in order to make you agree to it. He had always treated you so much like a daughter and he had always seen you as better than you really were. One of his points had been that you were one of the most gifted fighters he had ever encountered.

You couldn’t fathom how you had believed him. Thorin and Dwalin were great and they didn’t need some she-dwarf with her short swords in their company. They had more than enough talent already there. It seemed that Balin had fed just as many fanciful arguments to Thorin in getting you on the quest. The king had seemed less than pleased when he first saw you and he never said much. Even Dwalin had been friendlier, he had even told you that you weren’t too bad with your toy swords.

I’m getting a lot of comments and tags in reblogs of the “Hannibal & the Rights Issue” post with people being concerned that MGM or Starz or whoever is going to ruin Hannigram or make the show stick closer to the canon or turn everything super heterosexual or some such.

Guys, do NOT worry about that. It’s literally ZERO issue. It’s Martha’s show, and she and Hugh and Mads and everybody all say that it coming back is contingent 100% on Bryan being at the helm, and Bryan’s not going to give up creative control at that level. They’ll work it in to their contracts in some way, or Bryan won’t do it, even if it means getting fired. Remember, he’s the guy who got fired from his very first show over such an issue, and got his second show buried on a network over it again. All the fan base and critical acclaim is built on Bryan’s vision. It’s either Bryan’s way or the highway. DLC has a very specific, already developed product they’re selling, not a concept, and Bryan has already conceived seasons to pitch (up to a sixth, yay!), and if they don’t want the story that he’s selling, they won’t buy it.  If everyone isn’t comfortable with that, the deal won’t happen at all.

That isn’t to say there might not be some influence or compromise in various aspects of making the show, or that Bryan is destined to make Hannigram sexual after all this time (I still would be surprised if he does), or whatever. It just means that the story of the series is the story of Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter, and that is not going to change, unless Bryan was going to change it anyway (and he’s not, because it’s his baby).

There’s no controlling the deal from our side, and we need to recognize and accept that. We have to let the grownups handle that, so to speak, and it’s not our job to limit the options available to the creatives, but to expand them, so that they have the fullest and best opportunity to get the show they want created, with as much demand as possible to market it.

Beggars can’t be choosers, y’all. Let Bryan and Martha handle the business end. They know what they’re doing.

Okay, here it is: the big Studio finish. I hope it isn’t too heavy-handed. I knew this thing would be long, but I didn’t know it would stretch to 18 parts, so I appreciate very much those who have stuck around through   part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6, part 7, part 8, part 9, part 10, part 11, part 12, part 13, part 14, part 15, part 16, and part 17.

Myka says to Steve, “You just called her Helena. You never do that.”

Steve says, bleakly, “It’s why I think they’re for real. That’s how they’re signed. Somebody who thinks they’re in the know, who’s trying to pretend they’re in the know, they’d put ‘H.G.,’ but it’s ‘Helena’; it’s ‘Myka and Helena.’ They’re written to your sister, Myka, and they’re from when the war was on. Did you two write letters to your sister during the war?”

Myka can barely speak. “We did. We still do, sometimes. But I don’t… why… how would anyone at Confidential get them?”

Steve says, “They said they bought them.”

“From Tracy? She would never.”

Steve shakes his head. “They didn’t say from who. But it doesn’t matter, not really—they have them, and they have you, and I’m so sorry, but I don’t know what to do.”

He touches his forehead and bows forward a bit, almost as if he is praying, and for a moment, for Myka, it is 1941 all over again. She looks at Helena. In 1941, if Helena had been in this office, she would have been arming herself for battle; she would already be storming barricades. Now, she just seems overwhelmed. She leans toward Myka and says, softly, “We knew it would happen someday.”

Myka thinks about the box in her purse. “I didn’t think it would be today.”

The office is very quiet.

But then: “Wait,” Claudia says. “I have an idea.”
