Cold Time Cooking  -  When the weather is crisp, I’m in my element.  I like the warm layers of clothing and elaborate food preparations. It’s the time when Southwestern French cooking is right with the world, and everyone’s ready for a cozy dinner.  The fireplace always sets the mood, but I also rediscovered the time honored tradition of cooking in it a couple winters ago when an ice storm rendered us electricity free for a week.
