I just had an au idea and wanted to share.

It's sashanne which is rare for me.

Its also so simple that it might've been done before but ima tell u about it anyway

Basically, Sasha's been in love with Anne for years and said nothing, just watched.

Also Anne is demi-biromantic.

In highschool, Anne branches off and tries to follow that stereotypical highschool sweethearts fantasy but none of it really clicks. Until, one day she meets some dude, a jock, who shines in way she never really noticed. He has good intentions, but accidentally caught feelings for someone else and broke up with her because he didn't want to be unfaithful.

It doesn't faze Anne, or at least she thinks it doesn't. It isn't until her and Sasha go on a snack run in the middle of a sleepover. This is the scene the whole au is based on.

Sasha's driving.

There is no music, no distraction to keep the thoughts or feelings away.

"What's wrong?"

Anne looked up from the bland gas station labeled bag in her lap. "Uhh, nothing."

Sasha laughed, leaning back into her seat as she heald the wheel with one hand in favor of facing Anne. "I know you. Something's up. You bomb another test or something? If you did, it's okay. We can pull all nighters like we used to to make up for it. Granted Marce probably won't make it to 2-"

"Can you just-! Just face the road." She cringed at the silence cause by her outburst. "Please."

"Okay, it's cool. You could've just said shut up."

Sasha turned on the radio.

A song played.

And then another.

During the chatter of the station host Anne mumbled. "He broke up with me."

Her knuckles were white. She wanted to scream and break every bone in the boys body. She wanted to ask Anne if she was okay but when she looked over all she saw was the girl clinging her knees to her chest.

She wanted to help. She didn't know if it's what Anne needed but she sped up and turned up the radio as The Great Escape by boys like girls played.

"Hey Anne?" She yelled, rolling down the windows as her foot pushed into the gas pedal. "Don't cry, just sing it with me, 'kay?"

And then she belted the words.

It made Anne laugh, but tears still flowed freely down her face.

As the song built up Sasha stopped singing reached over to hold Anne's hand as if to say 'I'm waiting.'

And then Anne yelled. She yelled the words as loud as she could, not bothering to stay on key.

Anyways, I think this was just an elaborate attempt to share my comfort song with someone. It might also be a feasible idea for sats, at least the yelling and singing to a break down parts.

OMGOMG ANON I NEVER SAW THIS!!!! BUT THIS IS GREAT!!!! IM!!!
