“This is the phone call sequence which again was a nod for the Buffy and Angel fans. […] You didn’t need to see the one to enjoy the other. But if you watched both, you understood what was happening. That there was a moment where they almost made a connection and didn’t.” - Joss Whedon
It’s here! I finally have my hands on a copy! Ours were delayed in the UK for some reason I don’t even know.
It’s so very surreal to leaf through the real thing, but most of all I’m really, really proud to have been a part of it. I think it turned out lovely and I’m allowing myself a moment to not nit-pick at my own work and just enjoy it :)
These books, Sarah herself and all of you have changed my life and it’s been lovely to hear from so many of you about this.
OH! And I can finally say the Inner Circle piece is in the colouring book! It’s one of my favourite pieces I’ve done and was never drawn for the purpose of the book, but it’s found a home there anyway.
I think Max ends up with Liesel. I don’t think it happens right away, but as they grow up, I think he’s the only person that she’s got and she’s the only person that he’s got. Having gone through what the two of them went through, there’s a bond that’s unparalleled. It would be futile to look to establish something beyond t h a t between two human beings.
“Everything about this woman was both hard yet soft, delicate yet bold, wild yet calm. She was a storm that called to Cassian; it beckoned him into its grasp. A storm that he didn’t want to avoid anymore. He wanted to give in to the urges that pulled him to Nesta and he wanted her to do the same. So he let go of all pretense, closed his eyes, and leaned in to finally, finally, kiss the catastrophically beautiful woman below him.”

I loved how last month everyone got into paying tribute to ‘If-Then-Else’ with me so I thought I would give you all a heads up that I plan on doing something similar this coming Tuesday (February 21) to celebrate the anniversary of the first time our favorite compact Persian sociopath graced our screens. (‘Relevance’ aired on February 21, 2013)
I’ll be posting my favorite stills of Shaw all day as well as Shaw-centric posts on my other blog. I’d love to make a day of reveling in all her badass glory.
So dig up your favorite Shaw posts or make some new ones!
