Bruce goes to hell: THE DRAGON LIVES AGAIN review
This is the most bizarre kung-fu movie you will ever see! Bruce Lee (played by Bruce Leong) dies and ends up in hell, and there he does what we all would have done: He opens a gym. And after a chat with the devil and his naked wives, he discovers that Dracula, The Exorcist, Clint Eastwood, James Bond, Zatoichi (the blind swordsman), The Godfather and Emanuelle are attempting a takeover, so Bruce decides to protect the devil. And if that wasn’t weird enough, Caine from Kung Fu and Popeye the Sailor Man helps Bruce fight a bunch of mummies. The Dragon Lives Again is one of the Bruceploitation films that were made to cash in on Bruce Lee after his death. It’s a mentally disturbed film, but very entertaining, and you’ve got to admire a filmmaker who decides to send all these legendary characters to hell. The film “borrows” music from the Bond movies, The Good The Bad And The Ugly and Enter The Dragon, and it has immortal dialogue, like when Bruce first meets the devil, he asks: “Who the hell are you, eh?” He then adds “Huh, there’s something wrong with you, you’re weird.” Amazing.
