This was for my Design Process Module, to create an appropriated work of whatever you wanted. I appropriated iconic fashion items that used exotic animal skins. I printed the black outlines of the iconic items on transparency and overlaid it on the painting.
So excited about these ideas I have. They are based around this visual appreciation for order that I have – I am dissecting it apart and quite literally piecing things together my way. I envision an oversized silhouette that is visually smooth and fluid.
This was for my Design Process module; I continued experimenting with aesthetics using the combination of Maggi Hambling’s wave paintings and Bill Jacobson’s place series to come up with this. The square hip silhouette was something I always envisioned and I thought the contrast of the wave collage really brought the piece together..
This is an illustration for a friend, I promised her I’d draw one. Idk, I thought this might inspire her to take charge of her life somehow and make a change for herself. The dress in the drawing is from one of my very first few collection sketches, it is as of now in its 3rd reincarnation~
