I just updated my website with a new portfolio about skateboard manufacturing in China. It was such an amazing experience to watch something I’ve been around my whole life be created in front of my eyes. Many thanks to Eric Sentianin, Luke Callahan, Mike Stanfield and all the great and hospitable people at the DSM factory in Shenzhen.
An interview with a Copenhagen-based magazine called Bitchslap a bit ago just came out, here’s a link to the digital version just came out (if anyone has a physical copy hook your boy up). Thanks for everything Spencer!
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I’ve been working on a portrait series of brothers. The project is kind of an exploration about the relationships between brothers; how they interact, physical similarities and differences, and their individuality as well as their connectivity.
It’s going to be challenging to amass, for lack of a better word, an “accurate” catalog of brothers because obviously every relationship is different. My goal is to photograph a wide range of people, hopefully from all over the world, so I can at least get a focused look.
