The Basic Anglophone Les Mis Adaptation Formula

Or BALMAF for short

If you’ve seen more than one non-musical Les Mis movie in English (whether it’s American OR British), you might have noticed that sometimes they’re eerily similar to each other. I’m talking about the 1935, 1952, 1978 and 1998 movies, as seen above.

I honestly think these are all at least somewhat based on each other. They all follow the same rough structure, they share suspiciously specific details… it’s not really hard to make the connections. So I figured I’d try to put that structure into words.

Disclaimer: I’m not necessarily saying these are all bad things. (Although most of them are.) They’re just shared features and I get that plot needs to be streamlined when you adapt a giant novel into a movie. But it’s amusing to make fun of them. Also I only included the ones that show up in at least three of the movies.

BASIC STRUCTURE:

1: This is the story of Jean Valjean and Inspector Javert, everybody else is mostly just there to drive the plot forward.

2: Prison porn, lots of prison porn Okay okay not literal porn but you know what I mean. (exception: ‘98)

3: Fantine? Who’s that? Oh right Cosette’s mom. I guess we should give her a couple of scenes then… (exception: in '98 Fantine gets an actual story arc.)

4: We should really linger on this Montreuil-sur-Mer part of the plot, that’s the good stuff (but we can’t call the town “Montreuil-sur-Mer”, that would be ridiculous.)

5: The Thénardiers can only appear once, when Valjean goes to pick up Cosette, or not at all. Who needs all those plot points later on, this story is about the EPIC CHASE between Valjean and Javert!

6: You can have either Gavroche or adult Éponine but never both and they’re not related to the Thénardiers because we’re done with the Thénardiers already, didn’t I just tell you? Child Éponine may be allowed with the Thénardiers but she’s never named and has no lines.

7: Wow, Hugo really went off the plot rails after they arrive in Paris, didn’t he? There’s barely anything about Javert hunting Valjean in here! Let’s fix that and remove all this irrelevant stuff about all these side characters. We’ll just keep the love story because you gotta have a love story

8: I guess the revolution thing is kind of cool as a set piece for Valjean and Javert’s DRAMATIC REUNION. But we don’t really need to explain the politics and ideology and the fighting and all the minor character stuff, all that has nothing to do with Valjean and Javert!

9: Oh wait I guess we should still kill off whichever not!Thénardier kid we decided to include, though, for Dramatic Effect and to show how Tragic and Horrible revolutions are. (Exception: in ‘52 Gavroche doesn’t die)

10: Obviously Javert should go to the barricades to find Valjean, that’s much more important to him than “spying on the revolutionaries” lol (exception: '78)

11: Sewer chase scene! Yes, finally we’re back to the REAL story of Les Mis! Javert chasing Valjean in the sewers!

12: Well, Javert is dead so I guess we’re done now. VALJEAN WON! WHOO! HAPPY ENDING!

Guardians

This is my new Naruto AU ft. a creation of my own that I plan to incorporate into my own series one day: Guardians. They are a being born of magic who choose a Charge from the day they are born. Think of the Golden Compass but without soul-ties and many, many other things. A Guardian can choose three forms to shapeshift between throughout it’s long life and, although they are tied to their human, they are their own beings and can just walk away and sever the bond if they so choose to.

This AU is basically ‘Everything is the same but there’s Guardians’ but I’ve planned a whole lot out and I’ve got everything nailed down to the T about this as I’ve been quietly working over it for months now.

Please ask questions about it as I’m not sure what else to write abt it, I’d LOVE to answer all your questions though!

the concerned anon about others complaining about Colin being unresponsive at con sounds familiar. I believe a year or two ago the same thing happened. Some anon(s) asked if Colin was apathetic towards fans at the Brazil con. it's all very fishy.

Maybe people are trying to stir something up or maybe they are just curious. I think every single one of the actors keeps a separation between themselves and the fans … for good reason.

I thought it was interesting in the podcast that Colin said he basically ends up playing a caricature of himself. Like he’s playing the role of Colin at these cons and events … i think that goes for all of them.

I rarely see a person for aspec exclusion who’s actually in any way knowledgeable about asexuality and aromanticism as identities. Like. Without even going into the whole ace and aro spectrums and all the identities those entail, many of these people don’t even understand the two basic identities of “asexual” and “aromantic.”

And it’s not because these identities aren’t coherent or specific enough…if anything their definitions are ridiculously straightforward compared to other identities (a lot of m-spec identities have overlapping definitions–bisexual and polysexual can be one in the same, bisexual and pansexual can be one in the same, multisexual can be a standalone sexuality in and of itself or just an umbrella term, etc.). Like…these people are either willfully misconstruing these definitions to fit their own arguments, or they have genuinely never even attempted to educate themselves on the mere basics of these identities (and both explanations are…incredibly telling to be honest).

The fact so many people think they have the right to discuss any aspect of aspec issues–including that of aspec inclusion/exclusion–when they’ve never even bothered to try and understand the bare fucking minimum about aspec identities is so beyond ridiculous.

when the fandom calls you genocide king but is proud of Wanheda and Sky Reaper

when the fandom thinks you’re white because no one said otherwise on screen

when the fandom calls you abusive but loves the scene where your sister beats you up

when the fandom villanizes you for killing people but praises others for doing the same thing

when the fandom hates you for saving slaves

basically when the fandom blames you for every thing that happens in the show

shoutout post for all u dms and gms out there (especially you newbie ones), y’all have such a difficult medium of storytelling to work with and it must feel like you’re herding cats 99.8% of the time but you guys have the absolutely amazing ability to engage your players in such a rich world where their words and actions matter and you turn absolute chaos into such a beautiful story that your players are so proud and happy to have had a hand in shaping and just….you’re all fantastic and i love you

Asians in Star Wars

anonymous asked:

hey, can you break down the differences between the adventure zone and critical role for me? i haven't listened to either and now i'm curious

Oh gosh, okay. They’re delightful but… very different approaches to the same general idea (broadcasting a D&D game), and I think the fans of one show tend to have a sort of skewed impression of the other show, so here’s my thinking.

Just the basics, to begin with: The Adventure Zone started running in late 2014, and it’s an audio-only podcast in which the McElroy brothers and their dad start a brand-new D&D campaign from scratch. Critical Role started running in early 2015, and it’s a video podcast in which a bunch of best-friend voice actors started filming the D&D campaign they’d already been playing for years at home with the same characters. TAZ is (generally) prerecorded and lightly edited down, CR is 100% live. Both have a lot of howlingly funny and surprisingly touching moments, both get a lot more intense the more you get into them, and both are good shows that are a Good Time, especially when they make you feel things you didn’t sign up for. The main canon of TAZ is currently 56 one-hour-long episodes, with new episodes every two weeks, and CR is currently 85 four-hour-long episodes, with new episodes every week. Most of the reason for CR’s absurd length comes down to (a) three times as many players, and (b) no editing.

The DMs both put a ton of work into the world, but they also have very different approaches. Griffin (TAZ) is DMing for the first time, while Matt (CR) has talked about how DMing D&D games for the past 20 years is what got him interested in acting in the first place. The world of TAZ is much more of a sci-fi/fantasy hybrid, while CR sticks more to traditional fantasy.

TAZ plays fast and loose with the rules, which can be both a delight and a frustration for storytelling reasons—for instance, until the latest arc both spell slots and HP were not really tracked, which means (a) Griffin has had to come up with incredibly creative ways of introducing risk and limitations to the game, and (b) those incredibly creative ways can start to get pretty damn brutal. The mechanics of the game feel like an imposition on the story, most of the time—it’s rare that you get a dice roll that makes a huge difference to the plot (but when you do, as in the most recent episode, it’s pretty darn cool). As a result, the biggest spanner in the works of Griffin’s plans tends to be in the form of out-of-the-box thinking from his players, which they excel at; I think there is a tendency to railroad the plot as a result, but it’s a good story and it’s well worth a little bit of elbowing to keep everyone on track. Magical items also play a huge role, with viewers of the show submitting awesome new trinkets for the heroes of the story to use/abuse/completely forget about.

Because CR tilts more towards the rulebook (although Matt gets more than his fair share of shit for homebrewing and letting things slide and defaulting to the Rule of Cool), chance plays a much bigger role in the story. Matt’s simultaneously battling some incredibly creative players and dice that seem determined to roll as dramatically as possible. Entire subplots have been wiped out by a strategic roll, and in order to be able to adapt to that on the fly, Matt has to be hyper-prepared and have a lot of possible branching points. It’s absurdly open-world, especially now that the characters have the ability to travel instantly through different planes of existence, and Matt keeps pace with a story that feels more character-led than DM-led; railroading is practically nonexistent, which means you get incredible plot developments and super-deep characterization… but it also sometimes leads to long circular conversations trying to figure out what to do next. Because the players are all actors, there’s also a lot more that’s just straight-up improv theater: it’s not unusual (especially lately) to go for verrrry long stretches of riveting conversation without anybody rolling dice (I can think of a moment where Matt could’ve just had everyone fail a charisma saving throw against an NPC but instead just straight-up charmed them all in real life with words).

I’ll put it this way: CR is a basketball pickup game between friends who’ve been playing together so long that they kind of have their own home rules going and stick to them. TAZ is out there playing fuckin’ Calvinball. Both are great fun, but if you go into one expecting the other you’re in for a bad time.

Both shows have a lot of great NPCs, although Critical Role’s format gives them a lot more time and depth to shine (there are episodes where an NPC will have as much or more “screen time” than some of the player characters). Both shows have LGBT representation among player characters and NPCs alike that, while not perfect, is generally improving as the show goes on. For me personally, one of the more frustrating things about going from CR to TAZ was going from three female player characters and a metric fuckton of extremely deep characterization for all the female NPCs to no female player characters and many great and memorable female NPCs who nevertheless don’t get too much screentime or development just because of the the structure of the show.

TAZ is pretty shaky throughout the first arc (Griffin’s fighting a bit of an uphill battle getting everyone to sit down and actually play the game, which is funny in and of itself), but things slowly start to come together and the real potential of the show becomes clear once they break the heck out of the 5e Starter Set. I think the “Murder on the Rockport Limited” arc is what started to pull me in, and it’s not until the latest arc that I’m starting to get the character development I really crave in that show. Critical Role also takes a little while to find its footing, and to me the Briarwood arc (starting around episode 24) is where the mood of the show starts to solidify, with episode 40 and beyond really pushing from “this is cool, I’m enjoying how these interpretations of fantasy tropes are sometimes kinda unusual and off-the-wall!” to “how is this the most honest and genuine character development I’ve ever seen in media what the heck is happening here”.

So yeah. TAZ isn’t total chaos with no plot or effort put into it, CR isn’t a humorless wasteland of mathematical minutiae and rigid formulaic approaches. Both shows are great fun, both are IMO in an upswing and getting better and better as they go along, and I heartily recommend them both if you know what you’re getting into. Have fun!

i cant believe it still needs to be said but, the idea that the lgbt community (aka the “kweer” community) belongs to anyone who is a sexual “other” or who is not generally accepted for the kind of sex they enjoy is soooo harmful to actual lgbt people.

for one thing, grouping lgbt people with kinksters reinforces the idea that everything we do is sexual, deviant, weird, and does not belong in public. and it perpetuates the idea that someone can just choose not to be gay or trans, the same way that you can choose not to participate in kinks. just don’t act on your sexuality and you won’t be shunned by society. as if.

basically, huffpostqueer is some bullshit. fuck that.

SCHEMA OF ELEMENTS

This post is dedicated to similarity among the signs. I think it’s no secret that same element signs have many traits in common, but also signs from different elements can have some intersections. 2 signs in bold next to each other are the most related ones from different elements. The closer the signs are to each other the more related they are, basically the family tree method. This Schema in sum will help you to understand compatibility a little better and how each element fuses with the rest.

Sugar Baby Education 101: Wine & Food Pairing

When you are an SB, it is important for you to play the part in your SD’s life, meaning be well educated about things and have proper etiquette and KNOW your wine… or have at least an idea about wine and food paring.

So here, my hoes a little basic overview (if want to learn more about wine, just google that shit out!)

Just like adding milk into coffee will change its texture and taste; food when interacting with wine will affect its flavor. Different ingredients and preparation methods will bring out different taste sensations with the same bottle of wine.

There are a lot of pairing guidelines, but only one universal pairing principle –

A good pairing is when the food and wine do not overshadow each other. Wine and food can complement or contrast each other, as long as they do not mask each other’s unique flavor and characteristics.

Factors to Consider when Pairing

When pairing food, you are really complementing or contrasting four elements. The way the dish is prepared and cooked will affect these elements:

Body/ weight: heavy, medium, or light-body?
Flavor intensity: weak, moderate, strong?
Aroma: earthy, fruity, grassy, or herbal?
Taste: sweet, spicy, acidic, sour, bitter?

Example 1: Most people prefer pairing Cabernet Sauvignon with steaks because they are both full-bodied, strong flavor, and the protein in the meat will soften the tannin in the wine. A venturing wine lover may pair a red steak with a full-bodied white Roussanne.

Example 2: With spicy, strong flavor Thai dishes, the classic gourmets would go for a Riesling. Its neutrality will complement Thai cuisine’s spices. Its acidity and med bodied will match the weight of the food. A venturing wine lover may pair with Gewurztraminer or Marsanne.

Our Favorite Wine and Food Pairings:

It is not always white wine with white meat… Pinot Noir, Beaujolais, Chianti are few handful reds that pair well with chicken. Below we have listed our favorite pairings as a good starting point:

Western Dishes:

Chicken – Full-bodied whites (Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc) or light reds (Beaujolais, Pinot Noir, Rioja, Chianti)
Foie Gras / Pate - Sweet whites (Sauternes, Riesling Spatlese, Tokaji)
Green Salad – Herby whites (Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume, Vinho Verde)
Grilled Fish – Light to medium bodied whites (Sauvignon Blanc, Vinho Verde, Chablis)
Pasta (red sauce) – acidic reds (Barbera, Chianti, Zinfandel / Primitivo, Valpolicella)
Pasta (white sauce) – fuller bodied whites (Chardonnay, Viognier, Gavi, Pinot Gris)
Pizza - Sparkling or a fruity red (Prosecco, Barbera, Dolcetto, Valpolicella)
Raw or steamed shellfish – Crisp, acidic wines (Champagne, Sauvignon Blanc, Chablis)
Steak – Full-bodied red (Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, Barolo)

Asian Cuisines:

Chinese – Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir
Japanese Sushi – Beaujolais, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling
Spicy Thai / Indian Curry – Viognier, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Rousanne

Cheese:

Creamy soft brie or camembert – Champagne, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, dry Riesling
Strong goat cheese – Sancerre, Sauvignon Blanc, Pouilly-Fume
Hard / Aged cheese – Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon, Brunello, Dolcetto, Merlot, white Burgundy
Semi-hard cheese – Semillon, Rioja
Smoked cheese – Gewurztraminer, Sauternes, Shiraz
Blue cheese – Sauternes, Banyuls, Port, Late harvest wines, Madeira, Amarone;

Last but not least, some PAIRING TIPS:

Acidic wines go well with many dishes. Sauvignon Blanc, dry Riesling, Chianti are great examples. In addition, acidic wines make salty dishes appear less salty.
For fatty food such as foie gras, try Sauternes (an equally rich and intense wine).
For spicy food, try fruity, low-alcohol wines such as Riesling and Gewurztraminer.
Sweet food goes well with a bottle that is slightly sweeter.

Pair complex food with a simple wine. And pair simple food with a complex wine.

hallo yes!

friend orca is dolphin- but friend dolphin is whale!

really proper word is “cetacean.” basically goes like this.

here we have big famly. lotta cousins n friends! but whale famly not actually “family” when talking taxonomy! whale famly bigger than taxonomic family!

now you see that word “order” up there? basic phylogeny goes Kingdom>Phylum>Class>Order>Family>Genus>Species. help to remember: king phillip came over from germany swimming!  (actually, cetacea is an infraorder- whale friends in order artiodactyla- but that little confusing. important idea is that you see that friend whale and friend dolphin and friend porpoise all in same group!)

now some whales, they have the baleen. but other whales? they have ‘em the teef. they allll a group call Odontoceti, which mean “tooth whale.” word dolphin means “whale in taxonomic family Delphinidae.” still whale! whale not one family, whale one order. to be whale, need be in cetacea, so all dolphin technically whale, but not all whale technically dolphin. hope makes sense!

(I mean, if it doesn’t make sense I can go into more detail in actual grammatical sense, but this was fun.)

millienery  asked:

Hey marcia:) sorry to bother but I needed to ask...How do you establish commission prices?Lately I've been thinking of opening them myself but I don't really know how much it is okay to charge? I know it's supposed to be according to the amount of time taken per drawing, among other things. I'm not sure anyone would be interested, so I'm afraid it won't work, but at the same time I feel like I should just go for it(?)Like, I dont have the courage to start.. Thanks for reading this♡have a nice day

Hi! I’ll be happy to help :)

Honestly, this topic is one of the hardest and the most subjective things in the semi-private sector of art industry. Basically, you’re forced to ask yourself “how much is my work actually worth in the terms of money?” and this can be tricky. Obviously, no one wants to underprice their art and bring themselves down but overpricing will discourage the potential clients - achieving equilibrium is necessary. And difficult.

Here are some things to consider:

  • How long have you been drawing?
If you’re rather an inexperienced artist/commisionee, you shouldn’t go for relatively high prices. One of the functions of price is informing the client of the quality of the service they can expect from you and the brand value. A new shop selling shoes cannot charge as much as Nike, you get the idea.

  • What is the service you can provide?
In other words, what can you really draw? People will come to you demanding different things: their  OCs, favourite ships, fursonas etc. and you gotta know what you are able to draw. If someone wanted a dragon in a forest, you can’t just not announce that “you don’t know how to draw trees in perspective” by the end of the commission process! This goes back to experience - the less confident you are about your skills the less you should charge.

  • How long does it take you to make one piece?
Usually, the longer you draw the more you can charge for a picture, but! Remember that time taking accidents such as “I cant get this hand right, I drew it 5 times and it still does not look ok” don’t count! That would be the effect of your lack of experience rather than you making the piece more detailed. We’re talking about a theoretically smooth process here.

  • How much time are you willing to spend on a particular commission?
This is a little bit different from the previous point. The questions asks: how much time are you willing to spend to satisfy your client fully? Are you willing to make several value sketches? Colour compositions? How many times will you go back and redraw something because the client informed you they didn’t like it?
The more you’re ready to do for your client the more you can charge. However, remember!! Each sketch/idea has to be of the same quality!! You can’t suddenly stop caring halfway through or decide that “this composition sucks, the client won’t choose it anyway, so I can half-ass it”
You don’t get to decide that, the client does.

  • How much would you spend on your own art?
Be honest and do not be greedy. You’re only starting and since art is surely your hobby, low prices will not hurt at the time being. First, you have to dip your toe in the water and decide if it’s okay, then make changes and eventually rise prices.

  • Check prices of other artists!
You gotta know what your competition is serving :) This should be your starting point, but!! Take as a reference several people with relatively similar art styles/experience to yours, and again, be honest with yourself. Adjust these prices to the criteria I mentioned above.

Additional commission related tips:

  • be as informative and neutral as you can be during the commission process; you can throw in suggestions but never any uncomfortable opinions
  • remember that it is you who has to put effort into pleasing the client,
  • it is not the client’s obligation to jump around you,
  • you can refuse to draw something, moreover, you can refuse the whole service if the client is eg. acting shady,
  • in your commission info state your contact, price info, way of paying and when it happens (before/middle/after work), how the commissioning process looks, how much time it takes, your preferences/info about your abilities (not necessary) and what you expect from the client,
  • the more information you provide the more confident the client will feel, it rises the chances of them commissioning you
  • be professional, be serious; surprise surprise - it is your job! :)

I think that’s all, hope I covered the topic fully and it helped! Now go rock the art industry <3

So I used to work at a fairly popular pizza chain, and I was the hostess. One day an older, rather large lady with a walker came in, told me her name (let’s call her Janice), and asked to see one of the managers. So I found the nearest manager and told them Janice was here. My manager told me, with fear in his eyes, to go tell my other manager. So I found my other manager, told her Janice was here, and she had the same reaction. I told her the other manager told me to tell her. She began to swear a lot.

So my manager went out to Janice and basically talked to her for the older lady’s entire meal, all while looking incredibly uncomfortable. But then. But then.

I had a big box of mints that sat on my desk that were free for any customers to take. I liked to tell kids they could take as many as they wanted cuz it made their day and mine too. Anyway, Janice is walking up to my desk on her way out the door, but she stops, opens her shirt wide at the collar, and says “Gimme some mints.”

I guess I froze, because she repeated herself, with a lot more emphasis.

…so I hesitantly pick up a few mints and drop them down this lady’s shirt. And she says “More.” So I grab a small handful and drop that down her shirt too. This is apparently not enough, as she tsks at me, sticks her whole hand into my mint box, and shoves them down her shirt. Then she walks out.

The next day I informed a fellow hostess that Janice had dropped by.

“Oh crap, did she do the mint thing?”

How You Two Met

-probably while walking through the park, or in a flower garden; anywhere you can hear your own thoughts

-you were just chilling and had nothing better to do but admire the scenery of mid-autumn

-and like from a movie, yoongi emerges from the falling leaves

-you stare at him

-and he stares back

-the two of you stare at each other

-and stare at each other

-and stare at each other

-tick tock

-nobody actually goes there except for you two weirdos

-to break the tension you give an awkward half-wave and he just nods back

-basically the two of you just go your separate ways and ignore one another

-BUT BOTH OF YOU ALWAYS COME TO THE PARK AROUND THE SAME TIME TO RELAX AND RELIEVE STRESS

-so it’s becoming an usual routine on bumping  purposely  into the cute boy who always had on red headphones

-and you develop a small crush on him ever since you caught him humming to can’t stop by cnblue they’re your favorite kpop band and fanboys are so FRICKIN rare in the fandom

-he has an excellent music taste marry him

-but whenever you try to initiate a conversation between the two of you about cnblue’s music you chicken out and he just brushes past you

-one day he doesn’t show up at the park

-”maybe he just didn’t want to come today” you don’t give it much thought

-the following day he doesn’t show up either

“Something probably came up”

-and the next day after that

-yoongi’s been missing for a week

-YOU GET SO CONCERNED ABOUT HIM YOU LITERALLY WAIT IN FRONT OF THE PARK HOPING YOU COULD SEE A GLIMPSE OF HIS SHADOW SOMEWHERE

-he still doesn’t show up for a great deal of time

-so you’re roaming around the area by yourself everyday (with the occasional creepy old man that does morning walks) and you regret never catching his name nor his phone number because what a cutie you’ll never get that chance again

-you guys meet again three months later coincidentally on the street

-and you’re staring at the black-haired boy in S H O C K

-god has given you a second chance to prove yourself

-growing increasingly bold, you step up and look him straight in the eye, sticking out your hand

-”hey, i’m y/n… that girl from the park you used to go to??”

-”oh hi, yes, from the park? i’m yoongi. Min yoongi. Nice to meet you”

-YOU KNOW HIS NAME WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT ASDFGHJKL;

-unfortunately, you couldn’t even look at him properly to speak since the two of you were shoved around by the crowd from blocking the sidewalk

-yoongi, unfazed by the pushing, tucks his hands into his hoodie pocket

- ”we shouldn’t stand here; there’s people trying to pass by. Do you have something to tell me?”

-and YOU JUMP AT THIS OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE WHEN THE HELL DID YOU GET SO LUCKY

-”y-yes i do! Would you care for an americano?”

-it’s three in the afternoon who drinks americano at late noon honestly

-but surprisingly he agrees??

-what a weirdo

-the waiter sets down your drinks at the cafe; the aroma of coffee is the BEST

-lost in each other’s words, you guys chat about music, music, and more music

-HE’S ONE OF CNBLUE’S TOP FANS husband material right there

-Yoongi tells you that he’s part of a boy band, called BTS, though they haven’t debuted yet. To your surprise -how? he’s been oozing swag and confidence from day one-, he’s a rapper, not a singer

-after spending almost an hour with him, you fall in love with his taste in music, taste in fashion, and taste in everything in general. How do boys like him still exist??

-obviously you could talk to him for the whole day without running out of anything to converse about, but Yoongi, apologetically tells you he has somewhere to be although he enjoyed chatting with you

-you guys part ways, but not before exchanging numbers

-AND YOU JUST COULDN’T WAIT TO SEE HIM AGAIN so you call him every other two days just to chit-chat about nothing

-he doesn’t decline your offers unless he has to go to work and even then he promises to make up for the missed ‘date’

-what a respectful cutie

The Confession

-you guys spend most of your time together, and he eventually he looks forward to your incoming calls

-”y/n? Yeah i didn’t leave the house yet i’ll take a few minutes to get there” and he gets out of the bed so quickly jin would’ve thought the house was on fire to get him to move like that

-and one day…

-you confess accidentally over the phone; jokingly saying “i love you” to him after he does a favor for you

-cue the awkwardness in the call i’m shocked you didn’t hang up

-”oh you do? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)”

-”yoongi what that was a-”

-”no i’m serious, don’t you like me?”

-”…”

-”… you do don’t you”

-”it’s not like you’ll be my boyfriend anyways idiot”

-”i’ll be your boyfriend”

-”…”

-”…”

-”w HAT”

-”i said i’ll be your-”

-”i swear to god if you’re playing a prank on me i will personally march over to your studio and beat the living daylights out of you”

-”( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) i always knew you liked me why didn’t you confess earlier”

-”MIN YOONGI ANSWER MY QUESTION”

-”when’s the date beautiful”

-and that’s how the confession went in very simple words

Dating

-definitely no pda between you or him

-like he would hold your hands once or twice in public but that’s it

-he must be the one to initiate snuggling, or else he gets annoyed/uncomfortable

-busy most of the time with comebacks and writing new songs especially with BTS’s thriving popularity… you would get extremely worried if he sleeps at the studio and forgets to call you to tell you he’s coming home late because he’s pulled that multiple times already -not on purpose tho he would never want to worry you like that-

-so many reminders from you to him to eat/breathe a little

-contrary to what yoongi usually acts like, he’s very, very hardworking when it comes to his passions. The only breaks he take is when he sleeps and when he uses the toilet you’re so proud of him for being so dedicated to his career

-he’s committed to his idol duties even his s/o can’t convince him otherwise

-you thank the LORD FOR SLOW ALBUM SALES because you two never spend time together as a couple anymore

-one positive thing after the hectic schedules he has as an idol however is that CUDDLING. POSSIBILITIES. ARE. STRONGER. THAN. EVER.

-yoongi always buries his face in your neck whenever he hugs you from the back -it sends butterflies down to your stomach hE NEEDS TO STOP BREATHING ON YOUR COLLARBONE- and acknowledges the new shampoo/conditioner/body lotion/perfume you’re using -you don’t have to ask him if he notices your new haircut he notices even if he doesn’t say anything trust me-

-absolutely adorable in his sleep?? How can such an evil person look like an angel when sleeping that’s your question

-insults come on a daily basis -they’re lighthearted yoongi wouldn’t actually hurt you with his words-

-although he ruthlessly gives opinions, you always know he loves you

-take his kisses for example

-i see him as a person who likes to give their s/o lazy pecks on their forehead, cheek or lips~ it’s sweet and intimate, and it doesn’t require him to put much effort into it

-however, this does NOT mean he’s a bad kisser!! Once in he’s in the mood, he’ll bruise your lips to the point where they become so swollen that you’re having trouble communicating with other humans

-you two will be a spontaneous couple; planned dates aren’t really his thing. That’s not necessarily a bad thing tho! It’ll make you both treasure memories more

-the first date would be to the arcade or maybe somewhere not exactly quiet, but where you guys can really feel connected as a couple and discuss deep topics about life -and music-

-once bts’s popularity expands internationally and domestically, yoongi starts being burdened about how fans would take your relationship with him

-”will they react kindly to y/n?? Will saesangs target her? Should i even reveal our level of intimacy or insist we’re friends??”

-just know that he’ll protect you at all costs

-and you couldn’t wish for a better boyfriend

Tagging for New Fic: “Marvel Galleries.”

Hey, y’all! Kay, @romanovoff, and I are collaborating for a new fic that we will be writing and updating once a week. We are very excited for this project!

It will be based on a Spanish series called: “Velvet.” We have arranged for almost all the MCU characters to make an appearance throughout the course of the fic, but the main pairing will be Bucky x Reader

Although there will also be Bucky x Wanda; Pietro x Natasha; Pietro x Fem!Loki; and various other pairings that I don’t really want to reveal because they will spoil the story.

I am just warning for those that will be mostly prominent across the series apart from Bucky x Reader.

The fic’s summary is basically the same as the series:  The love story between Bucky Barnes, heir of Marvel Galleries, one of the most prestigious fashion stores in the 1950s, and Y/N, who works as a seamstress there.

The story will have lots of drama, affairs, drinking, smoking, and every thing that a soap opera has to offer.

If you would still like to be tagged after reading all of this, please REPLY to this text post. Don’t send any messages or asks. Just reply to this post because I will be referring back to it as I do the tag list.

The tag list will be closed by 8pm EST (NYC Time) tonight. Thank you!

PLEASE REPLY TO THIS POST ONLY IF YOU WISHED TO BE TAGGED.

EDIT: TAGGING IS CLOSED. SORRY.
