Steve yawned loudly as he slumped into the Avenger’s kitchen, one of his hands rubbing tiredly over his eyes while the other swung a plastic bag from its grip. It was close to one in the morning and he was exhausted, having gotten up at close to the exact time for the last four days in a row. Not that he was ever going to complain about it, you were a whole lot more uncomfortable than he was while in the last stages of your pregnancy and anything that Steve could do to help ease that discomfort he was going to do it.
The last month had been the worst by far, it hadn’t agreed with either of you it seemed. You couldn’t get comfortable in bed, on the couch or anywhere, which ultimately meant that Steve had no rest either. On top of that your cravings had been through the roof, leaving Steve to go on midnight runs to grab the stuff you wanted.
Shaking away another yawn Steve placed the bag down onto the counter, startling a bit in surprise when he saw Sam leaning against the other bench, bottle of water in his hand and a smug smile on his face. He nodded towards the bag with raised eyebrows. “What was it this time?” “Salted crackers and peanut butter.” “That’s not so bad,” Sam shrugged, taking another mouthful of his water. “No, that’s not so bad,” Steve replied. “You should have seen what she made yesterday however.” “Okay, what was it?” Sam chuckled. “She made mash potato with chocolate milk.”
Sam laughed at that, the sound echoing around the quiet room while he ignored the unamused expression on Steve’s face. “Are you serious? That’s - yeah okay, wow.” “It isn’t funny!” Steve huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. “I thought she was going to cry when I told her I didn’t want any, I didn’t have any choice but to eat it and I’m telling you right now I’m lucky I didn’t throw the lot back up.” “I’m so, so glad I missed out on that one.”
Steve was about to open his mouth and reply when he heard feet shuffling across the floor, his eyes meeting yours a second later as you walked into the room; one hand running back through your bed mussed hair while the other cradled your large baby bump. Your bottom lip quivered as you took a shaky breath, Steve in front of you in seconds, his hands rubbing circles across your shoulders. “What’s wrong?” He asked. “N - nothing,” You sniffed, leaning forward until you could press your face against Steve’s chest. “I mean - God, it’s so stupid.” “Hey, it’s not stupid if it’s upsetting you.” “It’s just that you weren’t - you weren’t there and baby Roger’s keeps kicking me.”
the joker thing tho……………… imagine a candy company that makes all sorts of candies. nougats, truffles, caramels, fruit snacks, suckers, whatever you can think of. but every. single. candy. has peanuts in it. you eat around the peanuts because you love the candy, it’s your favorite. and the peanut is something that is just sort of… there. on occasion, it adds to the flavor, but mostly it’s a gimmick. the company sees candy sales, and think, ‘gee! people sure love those peanuts! put even more in!’ and then they write a godawful comic where it turns out there were three peanuts who pretended to be the same one, and also now he’s going to lecture batman about his illegal activities, and tattoo hot topic catchphrases on his face.
Salted peanut butter and chocolate nice cream bowl 💛 Topped with dark roasted crunchy PB, the creamiest coconut yoghurt (discovered a new brand), my favourite store bought granola (I normally do not like store bought granola because it’s too sweet but I’ve had this one for ages and it’s the only one I like to buy!), raw cacao sauce and roasted cashews 👌
Spring is here so nicecream for breakfast is back on and I made this one super decadent with PEANUT BUTTER ❤️
3 frozen bananas
2 tablespoons peanut butter
Dash of water
½ tbsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt if your peanut butter is unsalted
Make sure you have a high power blender or food processor with nice cream recipes or you’ll overheat the blender. Just combine all the ingredients and blend/process until smooth ✨ Top with more peanut butter, fresh fruit and coconut shreds
• 250 g of dates
• 1/3 cup of minced hazelnuts
• 2 tbsp of minced almonds
• 1 tbsp of cocoa
• a pinch of salt
• ½ cup of peanut butter
• 1 tbsp of maple syrup
• 0,5-1 tbsp of almond milk
• some coconut oil (if necessary)
Soften the dates. Process all the ingredients for the bottom layer and spread the mass on a tray, then freeze for 10 minutes or so. Meanwhile, mix all the ingredients for the top layer until creamy. Spread the mixture on the brownies, cut into squares and keep refrigerated.
A nice vegan + gluten free + sugar free + paleo treat with no guilt! However, quite high in calories 🙃
