Spanish Vocabulary - Los deportes y ejercicios

This is a vocab list comprised of sports and exercise vocabulary.

This won’t be a totally complete list in that if I mention a sport I won’t go too far into its particular vocab like “forward”, “linebacker”, “quarterback” and so on, but it’s more for an overview… so I might not include everything you’re looking for.

And as always, if I know that a particular word is a regionalism, I’ll note it.

    Note: For many “players” of sports, you can easily say el jugador de ___ or la jugadora de ___. There are some sports that have an -ista form which are unisex, but they tend to be a bit more formal.

Mientras en la liga Española de Fútbol si un jugador es rozado por una mariposa se tira a rodar al campo como si hubiera recibido una Onda Vital a todo gas…

En el rugby este señor se disloca el hombro y se lo coloca tranquilamente para seguir trabajando.

A saber las veces que se le habrá salido para seguir jugando después de dislocarse el hombro. A mí se me ha salido el derecho ya unas 6 o 7 veces y me lo coloco yo cuando se me sale, pero luego paso dos días jodido del dolor. Me lo coloco básicamente porque si espero a que lo haga un médico se me quedan los ligamentos para saltar a la comba.
