I have done so much work for a film noir. We’re recording the last scenes tomorrow morning, so I have to get up at 05:15 to go pick up the equipment. I work and work and work for that film, and no one here actually wants to make it. It’s not even mine. It’s my best friend’s. I am just the lighting technician, caster, DOF’s assistant, clapper, editor, still photographer and graphic artist.

This means I am forced to be what people consider ‘me’ and be the same each day. I am expected to dress in a certain way, and I am suddenly supposed to adult and grown-up and all that stuff.

It’s hard being a child.
