Watch: Trust us that it’s not clickbait when we say this speech about punching Nazis was so fired up that it changed our lives

The theme of the 2017 SAG Awards was unity, unity, and more unity. For one of the final speeches of the night, David Harbour of Stranger Things collected the award for best performance by an ensemble, slinging (or rather, shouting) unity at the audience. The crowd got on its feet. In the audience, Courtney B. Vance, Lea DeLaria, and Viggo Mortensen can be spotted standing at attention.

The fact that the entirety of Hollywood is speaking out against Trump and his antics and Taylor Swift has been silent says so much about her true character. It seems she only speaks when it will benefit her, and her going against her “All American Girl” persona wouldn’t. This is coming from a fan since her first single. If actors and actresses and celebrities can risk their careers for voicing what’s right and wrong on a stage in front of millions, she has no excuse. Her silence is deafening, and is much more harmful than anything she could say, no matter how small. And anything she could say right now, after all the time she’s had to say something, would feel like she’s saying things -again- for her benefit and to save face. It wouldn’t be genuine. She’ll promote her song, but not the alarming injustice of people. I guess her reputation is more important than her humanity. How disappointing.

Hidden Figures just won Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the SAG Awards

The entire cast — including the main stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe — erupted with joy the moment their film was announced, hugging and cheering like crazy. And when the women got up onstage, they had much more to say than “Thank you.”
