“The importance of touch is that it places you. It is the medium of the articulation of a relationship. Touch yields two different senses–that of connection and that of separateness. It makes for a sense of oneness … as well as for a sense of difference. One thing is sure: if we are not touched, we might begin to suspect that we are not here.”

Kathleen Woodword, Aging and its Discontents

“The longing to touch/be touched. I feel gratitude when I touch someone—as well as affection etc. The person has allowed me proof that I have a body—and that there are bodies in the world.”

Susan Sontag,  Consciousness Is Harnessed To Flesh: Journals & Notebooks, 1964 - 1980

“Don’t we touch each other just to prove we are still here?”

Ocean Vuong, ‘On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous’

“While the skin appears to be the matter which separates the body, it rather allows us to think of how the materialisation of bodies involves, not containment, but an affective opening out of bodies to other bodies, in the sense that the skin registers how bodies are touched by others.”

Sara Ahmed, Strange Encounters

“There’s power in the touch of another person’s hand. We acknowledge it in little ways, all the time. There’s a reason human beings shake hands, hold hands, slap hands, bump hands. It comes from our very earliest memories, when we all come into the world blinded by light and color, deafened by riotous sound, flailing in a suddenly cavernous space without any way of orienting ourselves, shuddering with cold, emptied with hunger, and justifiably frightened and confused. And what changes that first horror, that original state of terror? The touch of another person’s hands. Hands that wrap us in warmth, that hold us close. Hands that guide us to shelter, to comfort, to food. Hands that hold and touch and reassure us…”

Jim Butcher, Skin Game

“Touch me, /  remind me who I am.”

Stanley Kunitz, ‘Touch’

I can’t talk. No one touches me. You’re so beautiful. No one knows me. Please, don’t leave

Henry Rollins, Black Coffee Blues

I am not actually tired, but numb and heavy, and can’t find the right words. All I can say is: Stay with me, don’t leave me.

Franz Kafka, Letters to Felice

For the love of God! Send Someone! Save me! Touch me. Come. Someone–please come!

Saul Bellow, Herzog

Touch me. Soft eyes. Soft soft soft hand. I am lonely here. O, touch me soon, now. What is that word known to all men? I am quiet here alone. Sad too. Touch, touch me.

James Joyce, Ulysses.

The Sacral Chakra is your passion and pleasure centre and it is located in the pelvic area. While the Root Chakra is satisfied with survival, the 2nd chakra seeks pleasure and enjoyment.

The gift of this chakra is experiencing our lives through feelings and sensations. The second chakra is the centre of feeling, emotion, pleasure, sensuality, intimacy, and connection.

The energy of this chakra allows you to let go, to move, and to feel change and transformation occurring within your body. It allows you to experience this moment as it is, in its own fullness.

The main challenge for the second chakra is the conditioning of our society. We live in a society where feelings are not valued, where passion, and emotional reactions are being frowned upon. We are being taught not to “loose control”. And we get disconnected from our bodies, and our feelings.

The sacral chakra is also your centre of creativity.

Passion is the fuel of creative energy. Everything you create, a poem, a drawing, or a website, originates from the energy of second chakra. It is also where your fertility originates. After all, conceiving a child is a creative process.

A person with an open Svadhisthana Chakra is passionate, present in here and now in the body, sensual, creative, and connected to  feeling.

Sacral  Chakra at a glance:

             Sanskrit name: Svadhisthana (sweetness)
             Element: Water
             Color: Orange
             Shape: Circle with crescent
             Petals of the lotus: Six
             Seed sound: VANG
             Vowel sound: Oo
             Rights: To feel, to want
             Endocrine gland: Ovaries, testicles
Physical association: Womb, genitals, kidney, bladder
             Psychological function: Movement and connection
             Identity: Emotional
             Developmental stage: 6 months - 2 years
             Challenge: Guilt
             Plane: Astral plane
             Planets: Mercury, Jupiter, Moon
             Deity: Indra, Rakini, Vishnu
             Incense: Gardenia, damiana
             Herb: Fennel, corriander
             Sephira: Yesod
             Tarot Suit: Cups

Sacral Chakra Stones

A closed sacral chakra can shut you off from opportunities and stifle your creativity. You may feel isolated or numb, and disconnected from your emotions and the people around you. People with closed sacral chakras often try to compensate by being overly controlling or abusive. On the other hand, an overactive sacral chakra can lead to mood disorders like depression and bipolar disorder. If your sacral chakra is overactive, you may feel needy and need constant reassurance. You may be creative and active, but have no confidence in your work and be unable to accept criticism.

Healing Stones for Sacral Chakra and Their Meanings

The chakra color for Swadhisthana is orange and it is tied to the moon, so orange and yellow gems are good for opening the sacral chakra. Gems in opposite colors can be used to soothe an overactive sacral chakra.

Crystals that open and activate the second chakra include:

  • Orange and coral calcite
  • Citrine
  • Orange carnelian
  • Orange adventurine

Orange calcite and citrine both have cleansing properties, which can help clear a blockage in the chakra. Coral calcite is often used in distance healing because of its amplifying qualities.

If your second chakra is overactive, stones that can be used to soothe it include:

  • Orange carnelian
  • Snowflake obsidian
  • Amber
  • Purple gemstones like amethyst, quartz and tourmaline

Orange carnelian can be used for either opening or soothing because of its unique healing properties. Amber chakra stones are known for drawing energy into themselves, so can be used to soak up excess energy in the second chakra. Snowflake obsidian restores balance to the body.

Moonstone is a unique crystal because it can be used for both opening and soothing the sacral chakra because of its connection with the moon, which is also associated with the second chakra. The meaning of moonstone varies slightly depending on the variety, but all are good for the sacral chakra, especially ones with a slight golden or yellow hue.

Food for your chakra

It is always represented in hues of orange. It is associated with all things emotional and creativity. A healthy sacral chakra always aids control and balance in one’s life.

Feed it with

Fan this fiery spot with sweet fruits like melons, mangoes, strawberries, passion fruit, oranges, coconut. Even honey and nuts are recommended for it. As for spices, cinnamon, vanilla, sesame seeds help to nourish the chakra.

Symptoms of Sacral Chakra Blockage

Physically speaking, when your sacral chakra is blocked you may experience a range of symptoms that are generally confined to the lower abdomen, back, and reproductive and digestive organs.

Among the most common physical symptoms:

  • constipation
  • back pain
  • urinary and kidney infections
  • gynecological cysts
  • abnormal menstruation
  • infertility
  • impotence

Sacral chakra imbalance frequently manifests as emotional and psychological difficulties, including:

  • depression
  • low self-esteem
  • insecurity
  • detachment
  • jealousy
  • fear

Considering the sacral chakra directly influences sexuality, it is not unheard of for a decline in sexual interest and performance to become an issue. Sexual dysfunction, including premature ejaculation, an inability to achieve orgasm, and low or nonexistent libido, is a good indicator there is an imbalance of the sacral chakra.

Clearing Sacral Chakra Blockages

In addition to adopting healthy lifestyle changes, such as a healthy diet and regular exercise, incorporating some form of energy healing can be beneficial for restoring balance to the sacral chakra.

Introducing essential oils associated with the sacral chakra, such as Ylang-Ylang or Sandalwood, to your home or personal space can offer a boost to sacral chakra healing.

Regularly meditating on the sacral chakra and/or the color orange can also help clear negativity and restore balance to the energy center.

If you feel drawn to the use of crystals to restore balance, consider introducing orange carnelian, citrine, or amber jewelry to your wardrobe.

When the sacral chakra is balanced, you feel in harmony with life. You are able to express yourself creatively and to mature with each new experience life offers — both good and bad.

If you live in Canada, you’ve probably heard this one, it’s the most popular Quebec swear outside the province itself. Tabarnak is, like most swears in Quebec, a religious reference (from tabernacle)

On its own, tabarnak is used, roughly, like fuck or shit.
– Tabarnak!
– Qu’est qu’il s’est passé??
– Mon ordi a planté

But it gets better: les sacres tend to be strung along together to make a long rage-filled sentence, like this example from wikipedia:
– Criss de calice de tabarnak d'osti de sacrament!!!

Furthermore, one can use en tabernak to describe two things

  1.  Someone is angry :
Il est en tabarnak! : He’s super pissed
  2.  In place of beaucoup :
Il a pris la cocaïne en tabarnak!
    : He took a shit-ton of coke
Je t’aime en tabarnak : I fucking love you

“Notice Earth is a Timeship on a galactic mission. Time is the current dictator or creator of life and limits its functions on this planet. Many people feel stuck in what may be termed 3-D time loops. Until awakening, one cannot recognize programmed thought patterns, repeating situations and energetic interactions. This is reinforced by regularly-celebrated occasions and the nature of the calendar imposed behind it all. Collective perception is manipulated away from galactic central Time and the hidden power of numbers is widely forgotten. The result is illusions of separation, amnesia about equality of everything from gender to how we unconsciously co-create each moment based on the degree of active/ inactive DNA, and how DNA is reprogrammable via frequency. The orbits of planets in our solar system hold different frequencies of different stages and levels of consciousness. The Sun however, is undergoing inner transformation as part of stellar evolution. Its process mirrors the ongoing expansion of human consciousness. Human beings are re-calibrating genetically and changing sense of time according to a galactic harmonic timing frequency. Information upgrades are transferred via radiogenetics (light codes/ infrasound). Synchronicity is crop circles emerging near sacred sites. The cells of the plants are constantly communicating with all other cells, including human body cells. Imagine human beings are creating/ co-creating ‘real’ crop circles on an unconscious level with a galactic plan. The point is to establish a telepathic matrix where a critical mass of humans bond with Earth’s etheric, magnetic and biopsychic fields to function as a planet (The word ‘planet’ means ‘wandering star’) and active member of a wider galaxies. Each human being is then, 'the Living Book of God.’ The story of life is held within chambers of the human genome expressing our species’ evolution through time. It is encoded as sacred geometry, the language of consciousness which we are each gradually unpacking. It’s like a computer store of the memory is encoded in our DNA, a crystal microchip specific to each individual. Once DNA is fully active, infinity is no longer simply the illusion created by measure of linear time. The Spiritual Sun arises.” - Liara Covert

Warnings to new readers: Before you read any part of this series, please know that this is, in fact, a horror fic. I didn’t mean it to unfold this way at first, but that’s exactly what this is: a very dark, sexy, scary tale. There’s an awful lot of smut, kink, blasphemy, desecration of sacred objects, language, dub-con, non-con, and graphic violence/horror elements in this story. As it unfolds, all these things are going to amplify to eleven. So if you’re particularly squeamish or not into horror, it’s probably a good idea to skip this one. You’ve been warned.

Historically, Egyptians have considered themselves as distinct from ‘Arabs’ and even at present rarely do they make that identification in casual contexts; il-‘arab [the Arabs] as used by Egyptians refers mainly to the inhabitants of the Gulf states… Egypt has been both a leader of pan-Arabism and a site of intense resentment towards that ideology. Egyptians had to be made, often forcefully, into “Arabs” [during the Nasser era] because they did not historically identify themselves as such. Egypt was self-consciously a nation not only before pan-Arabism but also before becoming a colony of the British Empire. Its territorial continuity since ancient times, its unique history as exemplified in its pharaonic past and later on its Coptic language and culture, had already made Egypt into a nation for centuries. Egyptians saw themselves, their history, culture and language as specifically Egyptian and not “Arab.”

Sacred geometry is an ancient science, a sacred language, and a key to understanding the way the Universe is designed. It is the study of shape and form, wave and vibration, and moving beyond third dimensional reality. It is the language of creation, which exists as the foundation of all matter, and it is the vehicle for spirit. It has been called the “blueprint for all creation,” the “harmonic configuration of the Soul,” the “divine rhythm which results in manifest experience.”
