Prince.org Will Go Up Against Jay Z to Remain Relevant

On Friday, Jay Z released his latest album 4:44 and the internet went nuts. While Jay unsurprisingly took some shots at the rap community, he created a lot of buzz with the song “Caught Their Eyes” in which he goes after Prince’s “greedy” estate in the following verse:

I sat down with Prince, eye to eye

He told me his wishes before he died

Now, Londell McMillan, he must be colorblind

They only see green from them purple eyes

They eyes hide, they eyes high

My eyes wide shut to all the lies

These industry niggas, they always been fishy

But ain’t no Biggie, no lazy eye, huh

This guy had ‘Slave’ on his face

You think he wanted the masters with his masters?

You greedy bastards sold tickets to walk through his house

I’m surprised you ain’t auction off the casket

Obviously, someone is salty about that busted Tidal deal. We have our own opinions about the estate mess over here at Most Beautiful Lies, but we feel some sort of way about Jay Z questioning anyone’s greed. Apparently we aren’t the only fans with something to say. Musician (insert laugh here) Casey Rain aka “S-Endz” aka “Militant”, a moderator from the internet dark hole known as Prince.org, took the opportunity to give Jay Z a piece of his mind on Facebook. We know that you’re asking yourself “who the hell is Casey Rain and why would Jay Z care?”, but in the now deleted post Casey said:

“Everyone knows the Prince Estate, family, and Paisley Park is problematic. But Jay-Z throwing shots on his new album is him trying to rewrite history. He can complain all he wants, but the fact is, he offered a pathetic amount of money for the vault which would have barely covered one-third of what the IRS was coming for. Furthermore, he talks about sitting down with Prince before he died but neglects to mention that he started putting bootlegs up on TIDAL after Prince died as well as they had no rights for. Not down with this nonsense from Hov.”

He also alleges that Tidal posted 15 of Prince’s past releases without authorization. This had to be a publicity stunt. Casey allows members of his private Prince group on Google+ to post bootlegs, yet he goes at Tidal about illegal music? Casey also gets a strong side eye because he has hitched his own dreams of fame to Prince’s estate by sucking up to Londell and other associates. Casey recently started a Prince related website and YouTube channel called The Violet Reality with his equally leech of a girlfriend Kim Camilia. We won’t bother to link to any of that here, but if you’re really bored you can find it yourself and read all about Casey’s non-stop efforts to protect Prince’s legacy. Never forget this humble brag post on Prince.org about his meeting with Lonny on your behalf:

Or his pinned tweet reminding us that he was included in Prince’s memorial service that was planned by Mayte and Manuela in Los Angeles:

We have to question the impartiality of the moderators at Prince.org since April 21, 2016 anyway. A site that is supposed to celebrate Prince has turned into a negative place where fans who attempt to defend Prince routinely have their comments deleted and some have been banned while racist trolls thrive. There are also quite the number of threads praising ex-wives, random girlfriends, and former band members who are currently riding the Purple One’s coattails. We understand. Prince.org is on life support and willing to do anything to keep the hits coming.
