With numbers like that it seems as though Apple could totally abandon the mac and be fine. But instead, Apple seems to be mashing together iOS with OS X. This update which includes notifications, new Apps for notes, Messaging, and Reminders, share sheets which allow you to share what you are doing on your mac via email, Twitter, Facebook, etc., access to iCloud,  and at last AirPlay Mirroring! Most of the updates that Apple has made to the OS comes from iOS. Apple seems to be solidifying their ecosystem of integrating products where to get the most functionality out of your devices, you should buy all of their products (Mac, iPhone, TV etc.). OS X Mountain Lion will be available to the general public Summer 2012 Downloadable from the Mac App Store.
