Ryan Dunn Memorial
“I’ve accomplished everything I wanted out of life, like way beyond my wildest dreams. Anything from here on is just icing, seriously, if you find out that I died tomorrow, I’m fine. Do not be sad for me, ‘cause I’m not sad. I died with a smile on my face.”
So, one year ago, Ryan Dunn and Zachary Hartwell died in an car accident due to drunk driving. I heard so much people talking about how it’s their or Dunns own fault to drive that drunk etc. And you know what? They’re right. And that makes it even more sad for all the fans because their deaths were so pointless.
I think most of the Jackass/CKY or all other fans can relate when I say I felt like I lost a good friend that day. Although I never even met him. I also heard a lot of people laughing about that. I grew up with the Jackass Crew and they mean a lot to me, because they made me laugh with their stupid things in times when there was actually nothing to laugh about.
I remember Dunn as a really quiet, not always present person like Johnny Knoxville or Bam Margera. But when he was there, it was always funny. I also remember him as the one who often needed to do the disgusting or hurtful stuff (i.e. the toy car) or the really funny one (plane stunt from Jackass 3D). I loved how he was forced into doing it and then complained about it. Sounds awful but his way of showing that was hilarious.
I really miss him. The Jackass cast was and still is an important foundation on which the person that I’m being today is based on and one year ago that foundation lost a big piece.
