PeaceMaker is amazing! :D It's my favorite period anime. I definitely recommend it. The anime and manga are way different from each other though just FYI. I'm old and I watched Kenshin when it was in Toonami. Lol It's a great anime too! Though it's going to be on the opposite side of the shinsengumi. :)

That’s great to know, thank you!! Peacemaker does look interesting:

I’m reasonably familiar with Rurouni Kenshin (set beginning of Meiji period). I realize that RK is set opposite the Shinsengumi.  I know a bit about the end of the Edo period at this point (the Bakumatsu, the Shinsengumi, Hakuouki, and flashbacks from RK).  I assume Peacemaker Kurogane is also 1863/4 to 1868/9.

Sadly, I have very little time for anime, so I have a list of things to watch, which still includes the end of Fairy Tail (2014)!  I’m trying to focus on my writing (which is why I finally combined my Shinsengumi and Fairy Tail ideas in my Gajevy story!), but I do try to get some watching done as well.  :)

I really appreciate you taking the time to notice and comment! (Your description of Gintama as Shinsengumi on crack sounds completely accurate based on what I saw!!  😂) That you for writing to me!!

Here’s “my” Shinsengumi (Hakuouki Fanbook cover): Harada, Nagakura, Toudou, Okita, Saito, Hijikata (top-bottom left, bottom-top right).

The problem, of course, is that the game Hakuouki is more complex and complete than the anime (3 seasons plus OVA, plus two movies).  That being said, if you haven’t seen Hakuouki, then I recommend it.  And I will let you know as soon as I get a chance to see Peacemaker!!

PS Being old enough to watch RK on Toonami does not make you old. I hope!
