run away fugitives

It starts with bloodshed, always bloodshed, always the same
running from something larger than yourself story,
shoving money into the jaws of a suitcase, cutting your hair
with a steak knife at a rest stop,
and you’re off, you’re on the run, a fugitive driving away from
something shameful and half-remembered.

Why Gladion’s theme sounds familiar

SO basically Gladion’s theme here

actually has the same kind of tune as this theme here from Red and Blue Rescue team (Not as upbeat)

Where in the game (spoilers if you haven’t played) you end up having to run away with your partner from a town of angry pokemon and other rescue teams due to manipulation (by the bad guys in the game), so you’re considered a run away fugitive at that point.

And Gladion himself is a run away fugitive as well, SO THAT’S A THING !! NICE LITTLE REFERENCE GAMEFREAK.

Just posted my first post of the second family going on my blog.  This one is a drama based story about a run away fugitive and her new life.  Go check it out!!! :)

They’re hurling their bodies down the freeway
                                                 to the smell of gasoline,
Which is the sound of a voice saying I told you so

Some posts have got me thinking about Leandra Ammell.  And I wonder – how much of Leandra’s strained relationship with Hawke can be traced towards the circumstances of Hawke’s birth?

IIRC, it’s implied that Leandra got pregnant shortly after she left Kirkwall with Malcolm.  So she would have given birth to Hawke just as she was coming to terms with the reality of running away with a dashing fugitive.  That’s a lot to take in on top of becoming a new parent.  It had to have been a very frightening time for her.

And Hawke’s existence effectively made Leandra’s decision final.  She couldn’t just go back home and make nice with her parents and find a new nobleman to marry. Not with an apostate’s baby in her arms.

I think Leandra loved Hawke, but that love got tangled up in regrets about her life choices that Leandra did not want to project onto her relationship with Malcolm.  Hence the pressure that Leandra puts on Hawke to make things right for their family in a way that Malcolm failed to.  In the end, Leandra missed being an Amell, and the Amell lifestyle is what she wanted for herself and her children.

Wow I just realized that I didn't request any characters when I sent in that request. 6 and 20 with Tony Stark x Reader please, or someone else if you'd prefer

“All of those people are alive right now because of her.” (Tony Stark cause he’s a fucking babe.)

“What’s going to happen to Y/N?” Tony asked Fury. “Council wants her to put in a jail cell.” Fury sighed. He was just as pissed off as Tony was. You had gone against orders and helped Tony with the Mandarin. “All of those people are alive right now, because of her! And they want to lock her up?” Tony asked. “It’s not the first time she’s done this.” Fury stated, trying to keep his opinions to himself. If it was up to him, you’d have a medal around your neck.

You were listening in from the other room and knew you had two options, either say and face a trial or run away, becoming a fugitive. Tony walked out and looked at you with a sad expression. “Y/N, they want to-”

“I know.” You stated. “I can’t stay here.” You added. “I can get you help.” He told you. “It’s the World Council, Tony. They won’t stop until they have me locked up in an insane asylum.” You told him. “What are you gonna do?” Tony asked. “I have to run, hide…I can’t stay here.” You said. He hated the idea of you leaving, hiding in fear, but knew it was the only option.

“Did you just quote fucking Fall Out Boy?”

“You want to know what I think about you?” Tony asked. “I don’t care what you think, as long as it’s about me.” You told him, turning to look at him. “Did you…did you just quote fucking Fall Out Boy?” He asked and you smiled. “I’ve been answering people’s questioned with their lyrics and nobody had noticed.” You told him and he smiled.

“Well, those people don’t know what good music is.” He told you and you chuckled. “They’re about to have a concert in New York, wanna come?” He asked you. “Yes, God yes.” You answered.

of course i’m not saying sherlock being in love with john is canon but he fucking curd his limp and depression, he protected him, he sacrificed his whole career and reputation– basically everything he’s worked for his entire life for him, he faked his own suicide but entertained the possibility he may die on this rooftop (“i wanted to avoid dying, if at all possible”) for john’s safety, he spent two years as a fugitive, running away for months, he dismantled moriarty’s web risking his own life, he was tortured and did all that for john and yet begged for his forgiveness anyway, he agreed to be john’s best man even though mycroft warned him not to get involved, he came back to life because john was in danger, despite the excruciating pain he ran away from the hospital to make john and mary sort things out and save their marriage because he knew that’s what john chose, he killed a man who was a threat to john’s happiness and therefore literally sentenced himself to death so no, surely he’s not in love

I’m going to be honest with you guys. If I lived in a world with Superheroes, I would not feel safe around them, at least not without a hint of caution. I could die if any one of them lost control for even a second. And they could, they’re people just like you and me, they have flaws and hang ups and agendas, but they also have the power to wipe out an entire city. They can make mistakes that no normal person could make, and the consequences for the risks they take are astronomically higher. Who the hell could protect me from them if one day they decide to take complete control? Who could stop them if they wanted to enact their own laws on the whole world and someone happened to disagree with them?

So yes. I WOULD want the government to have some sort of counter measure on the off chance Captain America does something stupid, like running away with a fugitive instead of giving up immediately after stopping Bucky from escaping. There SHOULD be oversight the next time Tony wants to make upgrades to his tech using alien artifacts that may or may not save/doom the world. The governments of the world SHOULD have their own team of superhumans to keep the rogue ones in check.

It’s the government’s job to do for the people what the people can’t do for themselves, and the people sure as hell can’t protect themselves from Thor or the Hulk or Vision. So I don’t think a little oversight and accountability is too much to fucking ask.
