When's he quite wasted, he stops caring what people think of him and he'll order mojitos "because they're sweet and delicious." (1/2)

The Rebound

It was supposed to be shorter (; ̄д ̄)

(Also posted on AO3)

Draco ran his finger along the rim of his empty glass absently. The edges of his vision swam as he looked up at the bartender who raised a single perfectly groomed eyebrow at him.

“Another?” she asked.

Draco closed his eyes briefly, squeezing them until they ached, “Bring me… whatever’s next on the menu.”

“Yeah, alright,” she smirked, taking his empty glass, “What did you think about the French 75 then?”

“Nice, lovely,” Draco said absently, not entirely sure he could remember precisely what the last drink had tasted like.

“One Dark n’ Stormy, comin’ up,” she said brightly.

Draco sighed he fished a few more muggle notes from his pocket and shoved it on the other side of the bar. She had been very friendly all night not that he was surprised. There weren’t many people in the bar on a tuesday evening, much less a sad drunk wizard who was likely overpaying a great deal because he honestly couldn’t be arsed to check the numbers on his flimsy paper money.

He ignored her attempts at conversation when she returned and took the tall glass of what tasted like rum and ginger beer. Draco was prepared to stumble through something approximating a conversation when someone sat beside him, ordering a rum and coke and sending her off.

Draco blinked, his brow furrowing, the voice beside him had sounded familiar. Draco turned slowly so his head wouldn’t fall off and found the other bloke watching him curiously. The other bloke that looked remarkably, disturbingly, identical to Harry Potter.

Potter tried on a hesitant smile, “What’s a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this?”

You hated going to these functions for Harry sometimes because you didn’t really know how to talk to the rich and famous, much less make a good impression and talk up your boyfriend to these said rich people who were going to make Harry more of a star than he already is. It was much easier earlier on in the relationship to attend to things like this because you knew of three other guys who would be there as a crutch if Harry was off in a serious conversation with a producer or someone who could help him go solo.

Tonight was so much more different, as Harry was auditioning to land a major movie role and he was extremely excited, but extremely nervous about not getting the part. Knowing that you are HIS crutch made your heart swell a little more, but knowing that you would have to talk to a room full of completely different people, even a completely different scene with no one to fall back on was starting to make the nerves in your stomach race so hard that you felt nauseous. But nevertheless you put on your black dress that fell to the floor in your giant closet that the two of you shared when Harry asked you to move in to his house in LA.

“Babe?” You heard Harry somewhere in the bedroom, his voice darting a bit forward at the last letter of the word, knowing that he was rounding the corner to the closet. He stood in the doorframe looking down at his hands that were holding two different necklaces, both long; one was gold and the other silver, both holding pendants at the very bottom. The silver pendant adorned his plain silver but slightly larger cross, and the gold chain held one small coin pendant at the bottom and the other chain above it was a small gold cross.

Harry stuck out his hands that his somewhat more inexpensive pieces dangled from, raising both eyebrows at you. You squinted and your eyes raked over his long and lean torso, a black silk button down (which was almost all the way un-buttoned) was carefully and neatly tucked into the long black and white pinstripe pants over his black and so shiny you could see yourself in them boots. You licked your lips just slightly at the sheer sight of him, and his tongue grazed the inside of his cheek as he rolled his eyes.

“Don’ have time for that, love,” he grinned his little smirk that made his dimple flash, and you wondered how you weren’t jumping on him right then and there.

“Shutup. Not like you don’t do it to me,” you crossed your arms and glared at him, shifting all your weight to one hip. He immediately saw your body change and his eyes flew down to your chest that was pushed up by your arms just enough. You rolled your eyes this time, and poked two fingers hard into his shoulder.

“This one,” you pointed to the silver cross and helped him get it over his head quickly, as he has seemed to freeze momentarily.

“Thanks. Kiss,” his lips puckered out and you looked at him for a moment and paused, his lips starting to turn into a frown when you leaned forward quickly and pecked at them, his smile was triumphant.

“You ready, love?” He asked, shrugging on his very tailored black velour jacket that fell at his hips, nudging his long hair from in-between his shirt and the jacket to fall out easily, adjusting the collar and his hair, again.

“Mmm, just let me get my coat,” you said to him and turned to the white pea-coat hanging on the rack that you hung carefully as if not to spill or even breathe on it before his big night. Just then the moment hit you hard, you knew that it was extra important and wondered how you even agreed to this. It might have been the way Harry was standing in the doorframe looking hot as hell, or it might have been the way he ate you out as a plea and a bribe so feverishly just last night that you thought you went to actual heaven because of all the white and the stars (twice); either way, you were nervous and he was, too.

“Harry,” you said just barely audible, tears prickling at your eyes.

Harry turned to face you and saw your body frame slumped, almost eaten by the pea coat around your arms and your lips were pouting as to say please, don’t make me do this. He strode over to you and in one simple step of his long legs and he was holding you tightly by the waist with one strong arm, the other swiping his padded thumb over your cheek. You felt his breath linger over your forehead as he kissed the temple, and then dipped his eyes to look at you, searching your face momentarily.

“I won’ leave your side, promise,” he grabbed your hand and intertwined his fingers with yours and tugged slightly, his eyes never left yours as you gave up in defeat and nodded, following him out of the house.

Bottoms Up

A/N: I felt like it’d been a while since I’d written anything that focused on Yoongi, so I really wanted to write something~ I started this a few weeks ago and then got distracted by life and finishing up college for the semester, but I finally finished it so here I am~ Hopefully you all enjoy it lol

Words: 3,007

Genre: Smut

Clubs aren’t your thing—but you give them a chance, because you don’t want to seem like the party pooper amongst your group of friends. Despite their efforts to get you to show some skin, though, you still end up walking into the club wearing a tank-top, skinny jeans, and a pair of laced up high-tops. You weren’t here to be hit on—you didn’t want some creep trying to slide his hand up your inner thigh. You were here to socialize, down some drinks to get over your regret of coming, and then hopefully leave with the first friend in your group who would call it a night.

So, you saddle up to the bar, waving at your friends as they scuttle out onto the dance floor—all high heels and short skirts. Once they disappear into the throng of grinding bodies, you spin on your stool, turning to rest your elbows on the counter top—

…and the bartender is right in front of you. Skinny, but well rounded—dark hair hanging slightly into his eyes, black button up fitted to his torso perfectly. His face remains void of any emotion, but when he catches your surprised stare and the slight part of your lips, he smirks.

“What can I start you with?” he asks, voice deeper than you had expected, a bit rough, but still clearly heard over the music of the club. You pause at the question, your mind blanking.

“I…I’ll take a rum and coke, unless you have something better to give me,” you say, trying to scrape up your remaining shred of composure. The male cocks an eyebrow, looking a little contemplative.

“You wanna get drunk? Or do you just wanna buzz so you can still punch the guy that tries to steal your panties? I mean you gotta throw me a bone here.”

“I don’t even fucking know, man,” you say honestly, leaning back a little to motion at yourself. “Look at me. I mean—it’s not exactly like easy access is written all over my jean-clad legs.”

The bartender hums, reaching down to snag a shot glass. “I’ve been looking at you for a minute or two now and you’re surprising cute despite the outfit,” he comments, reaching behind him to grab a bottle of Kahlua. “Clearly you’re not here to let anyone finger you in the back alleyway, though,” he continues, chuckling when he catches your blush and stunned look.

With skill, he snatches up a bottle of Grand Marnier and Bailey’s too, layering the liquors in a shot glass with exact precision. When he’s finished, he gently slides it towards you, meeting your questionable stare.

“It’s good. Sweet liquor for a sweet girl. Take it—it’ll help you loosen up a little.”

“Are bartenders usually this flirty?” you question him, downing the shot in one go (because damn this dude is making you warm already).

“Only to those who perk our interest,” he responds, taking the shot glass from you after you set down. You laugh, feeling somewhat incredulous.

“Yeah? Should I consider myself lucky then?”

“Depends on your definition of lucky,” he chuckles, eyes fliting to the side when another couple up the bar slurs for him. Smile dropping from his lips, he quickly moves around, throwing some ice into a glass—filling it a third full with rum and the remainder with coke.

“Suck on that till I get back,” he says briefly, sliding it to you, and you watch him, brows lifted in surprise as he quickly goes to tend on other patrons.

Taking the cool glass into your hand, you gently swirl the contents before taking a long sip.

You’re not sure what that bartender is aiming for, playing with your emotions like this, but…dammit, you really don’t mind.

Ten minutes later, dark and mysterious bartender is back in front of you, elbow propped on the counter, interest sparking in his irises as he listens to you ramble about all the things you don’t really like about clubs. You hadn’t exactly meant to just…open up to him, but…you’re beginning to think your tolerance is a bit lighter than you had assumed.

“I’m baffled you’re even here,” he muses, refilling your glass. “It seems like you’d rather be at home, reading a book, or doing some kind of other dorky, yet cute thing.”

Right? I don’t know, man—I wanted to not seem like the boring friend, but even when I’m here I’m still hiding at the bar,” you say, sighing, and rest your cheek in the palm of your hand. The bartender breathes a laugh, regarding you thoughtfully.

“You could always go.”

“Yeah, but…,” you begin, eyes flitting up to his, and his stare has you feeling a bit weak. “You’re here.”

At that, that man pauses, any movement stopping as his eyes fall from yours, lowering to regard the countertop. You watch him, cheeks hot, regret sinking in your stomach. Luckily, after a few seconds—instead of walking away or anything else that could potentially break your heart—he meets your gaze again and opens his mouth to respond.

…however, just as he does, the same drunk couple form before shouts for him at the other end of the bar and, sighing, the dark haired male hurries away. You’re once again left staring after him, hands fidgeting against your half-downed glass.

What the hell are you doing?

A little less than 20 minutes later—mister dark and mysterious having somehow disappeared from the bar without you noticing, you push your finished drink to the side and slide off your stool. You don’t want to drink anymore—you really don’t want to be here—and now that the flirty, cute bartender is gone, you’re not quite sure what to do with yourself.

More than anything, you just want to tap out and go home, but, before you can, one of your friends spots you near the edge of the dance floor and hurries over. Grabbing your wrist, she tugs you into the mass of people, and you can’t think to tell her that you’re really not in the mood for dancing—especially considering that she has already dragged you into the middle of the action.

So, reluctantly, trying to let any of your worries go (as well as thoughts of the dark-haired bartender—who you may or may not have fallen for), you begin dancing with your friends. At first, things go well—you loosen up a bit, swing your hips, feel the music—but after a few minutes you feel a pair of hands land on your hips. Glancing down—catching sight of pale, long fingers—you realize that this isn’t one of your girlfriends.

“Sorry–,” you begin, taking a step forward, trying to let the person know that you’re not about that tonight—but the fingers only tighten, and you feel a males chest lightly press against your back.

“You said weren’t about dancing, yet when I stopped by the bar on my way out for the night and noticed you were gone, I find you out here on the dance floor,” the deep, familiar voice speaks, and fuck the heat you’d felt before is igniting your blood once more.

“You—I thought—”

“My shift was over. I left to grab my stuff and planned to come back to the bar to take you home with me, but—”

“I…what??” you say, flushing red, turning your head to try and face him, but his fingers dig into your waist, holding your still, and his lips press heatedly against your neck. That has you gasping, grinding back against him as his teeth and tongue work at your throat.

“My name is Yoongi, by the way,” he says, sucking particularly hard, and your knees nearly buckle.

“Yoongi,” you repeat, testing the name on your tongue. But his name alone rolling from your lips has Yoongi growling quietly, one of his hands sinking lower to grip your ass through your jeans. You bite your lip to keep from moaning, lifting one of your hands backwards to tug his hair.

“If you were going to take me home then take me already,” you breathe, grinding your ass back yet again, and before you can gather your head you’re being pulled off the dance floor, Yoongi’s grip tight on you wrist.

“Then let’s go.”

spent a lifetime looking for you

The first time Derek sees him, it’s only about a two-second interaction. Derek’s waiting for the bartender to make his rum and coke, idly scanning the crowd to see if Ransom and Holster have made it here yet. He can see someone approaching him out of the corner of his eye, and then there’s a cute redhead standing next to him. Nursey turns to smile at him.

“Hey,” the guy grins, smile wide and easy. Fuck, he’s cute. “Are you here with anyone?”

“Yeah, I’m waiting for them, now, actually - “ Derek blurts out, like a moron.

“Oh, shit, um, sorry,” the guy stammers, and then he’s hurriedly walking away and Derek wants to catch him to tell him he misunderstood, but the bartender is finally sliding his drink across the bar and Ransom and Holster are suddenly on either side of him and he has to fumble for his wallet while Ransom and Holster jostle and chirp him for his outfit choice.

Mystic Falls. An unknown territory. Truth is, I never left New York. My parents sent me here to “better myself”. They tried to get me to stay with family friends but I shot that down quick. I’m 19. I can fend for myself. The only reason I came down here instead of bailing was because I might as well do something for them. Family is all you have in the end.

The apartment I bought was right in the town. As I looked from a window I saw town square and a bar across from my building. Smirking, I got dressed into a black tank top and ripped jeans. I grabbed my heels, purse, and leather jacket before stepping out into the cold hallway.

There weren’t a lot of people around as I across the street. And it was quiet.. Living in the city that never sleeps can be very loud. This was the exact opposite and it was kind of nice.

Walking into the grill or bar or whatever it is, I looked around. The door slammed behind me, catching some peoples attention. Music played softly in the background, and I arched an eyebrow. Is this really how people spend their time down here? I sighed and started to make my way to the bar.

“Rum and coke, please.” I asked kindly.

The man looked at me with a questioning look but made my drink anyway. Wow, they don’t even ID down here. I sipped my drink and scanned around the room. Not a lot of cute guys here. The man a few seats down wasn’t too bad, with raven hair and a leather jacket but I could tell that he’s spoken for. Him and brunette over there were speaking with their eyes.

The blonde one who made my drink was okay.. But he looked vulnerable. Reading people around me became a specialty of mine after years and years of boring family business parties. I let out a sigh before downing the rest of my drink. I turned my head and saw a man smirking at me. He was probably the best looking guy in the bar. From his smirk I could tell he was confident.

The blonde girl behind him didn’t look too happy, and stormed off. I smiled as he approached me.

“You don’t look like you’re from around here, love.” The man spoke with an accent. Accents have always been a weakness of mine, but I didn’t let it show.

“That’s because I’m not.” I grinned, looked back to the bartender. “Another rum and coke, please.”

“Put it on my tab, Matt. It’s rude to have a woman pay for her own drink.”

“Oh, so chivalry isn’t dead. That’s a relief.” I let out a light laugh as Matt handed me my drink.

“I like to think my mother raised me better than that.” His voice was smooth.

“Very well. What’s your name, stranger?” I asked, taking a sip, letting the burning liquid slide down my throat.

“Klaus.. And you are?”

“Y/N. Now that we’re acquainted, how about I beat your ass at a game of pool?”

Klaus ended up walking me back to my apartment around 11. I wasn’t drunk, but I wasn’t sober either. I could still walk on my own, but I had a giggly feeling.

“You can come in, if you’d like. It’ll probably be hours before I fall asleep.” I announced as I unlocked my door.

“No. It’s quite alright. Perhaps I’ll see you tomorrow.” Klaus smiled. He drank way more than me, yet he doesn’t even seem fazed.

I let out a giggle, “perhaps you will. Goodnight Klaus. You’re not that bad you know.”

“Goodnight Y/N.” He softly smiled before walking to the elevator.

Shutting the door, I stretched and started stripping. Making my way to the closet.

Waking up, it felt as if someone lightly traced their fingers on my bare back. Yet, when I opened my eyes I saw no one around. I stretched and probably let out the most sexual noise ever while I did it. That’s the beauty of living alone. You can make so many weird noises and no one will hear.

After showering and changing into my clothes for the day, I grabbed my keys and walked to the front door. I came to a stop when I saw a single envelope on the floor, as if someone slid it under the door. The writing on it was beautiful cursive. I opened it and saw that it was an invitation to a ball.

Holy shit, I didn’t think anyone threw those things anymore. Thinking it’d be fun I decided to go dress shopping. Flipping the card over I saw, written messily in the bottom corner, ‘Save me a dance. -Klaus.’.

Jesus, I don’t know who this man is… but he’s playing the cards right. I smirked to myself, and finally headed into the town. Walking from store to store I ran into the blonde girl from last night in a boutique.

“Hi,” she simply spoke, standing in front of me with her hands clasped. I gave her an odd look.

“Hi.”

“What’s your name?” She asked.

“…Y/N. Yours?” I responded. I felt awkward talking to her, so I continued to browse isles. Looking at different price tags on beautiful gowns.

“Caroline.” She smiled. I will admit, she is beautiful.

“Nice to meet you Caroline. Can I help you with something?”

She looked around the room, “this might sound weird, but I’m trying to help you.”

I arched an eyebrow. “Really?”

“Yeah, just stay away from Klaus… He’s trouble. I should know.”

I smirked and looked over to her, “everyone likes a bit of trouble. Thanks, honestly. But I can take care of myself. It was nice to meet you, Caroline.” I smiled before grabbing a beautiful dress and going to the register.

The ball was at 7, however considering I knew nothing about this town I decided to leave a bit early so I could avoid getting lost. The gown I was wearing was black lace. It was straight and flowed to the floor. I had my hair styled up, with loose curls falling out. My makeup was natural, with a bit of dark eyeshadow to make my eyes pop.

I ended up pulling into the mansion around 8:30. Try to get somewhere early, only to be late. Story of my life. Walking inside, I saw so many people in gorgeous dresses and suits. There were waiters walking about with champagne.

I snagged myself a glass and wandered around. I tried my hardest to look for Klaus - or hell, even Caroline, but no luck. I’m never good at events like this unless I had someone with me.

A few glasses later, I stood by the staircase. Contemplating leaving or not.

“Save me a dance, love?” I heard a voice from behind me. I smirked and turned around.

“Surprisingly, I haven’t danced with anyone. Just drinking your free champagne. If you’re lucky, you might get more than one dance.”

“How come you haven’t danced with anyone? As far as I can tell, most of the men can’t keep their eyes off you. Including my brother, over there.” Klaus smirked, pulling me to the dance floor.

“Believe it or not, most guys are intimidated by me. It was like that even in New York. Which one is your brother?” I responded, placing one hand behind his neck and the other in his hand.

“He’s over there, by the bar. He’s the one staring and trying to find out a way to win your heart.”

I glanced behind me and saw him smirking. I let out a laugh.

“He’s cute. But I’m not really into the whole Peter Pan look he has going.. And plus, I’m not that easy to win over.”

Klaus laughed, “I’ll be sure to let him know that.”

I laughed with him before he changed the subject.

“So, Y/N.. What do you like?”

“What do I like?” I laughed softly, “depends. Are we talking about in general or what I like in men?” I arched an eyebrow.

He smirked, “either one.”

I sighed, “well, I try to like everything. As cliché as this might sound, I like clothing. I’ve been thinking about designing some. I love art. But not that stupid modern art, where someone draws a line and calls it art. I like classic art. Like the Mona Lisa or Creation of Adam.. And as for men, I like them to be brilliant. Sophisticated.. But still dangerous. Every girl has a weak spot for a bad boy.” I laughed.

Klaus lightly chuckled, and looked into my eyes. He stepped away, mid dance, and held out his hand.

“Come with me.”

I narrowed my eyes at him but took his hand anyway. He led me up the staircase and I grabbed another glass of champagne on the way.

Klaus opened up the doors to a room and I walked inside. As soon as I stepped one foot inside, I gasped. Paintings were lined around the room and a desk and easel was placed in the middle.

“Oh my god.” I whispered, walking to one of the paintings.

“What are you? Like a collector or something?” I asked, lightly trailing my fingers down a canvas. I heard Klaus chuckle from behind me.

“No, actually I’m an artist. Or so I like to think.”

“Are you kidding me? These are gorgeous. The way you blended the paints together.. It’s amazing.” I smiled, and turned to face him. “You have talent.”

“Thank you. That actually means more than it seems.” He smiled back.

Suddenly the door opened and Caroline stood there, looking angry.

“Klaus. May I have a word?” Her voice was cold.

I saw Klaus roll his eyes before turning to me.

“Please excuse me, I’ll just be a moment.”

I smiled at him and nodded, turning back to the masterpieces in front of me.

For some reason, the party ended early and Klaus never returned. I was walking into my sad, cold apartment when I noticed something lying on my bed. I threw down my clutch and picked up the piece of paper.

It was a drawing, of me. My hair was down and it looked like I was smiling. I remember that moment, it was the night before when I was kicking Klaus’ ass at pool. The bottom corner had writing and it said, ‘Hope you forgive me for leaving you. I’d love to see you again. You’re different from the rest. - Klaus.’

I smiled like a drunk idiot before falling onto my bed. I think I might like it here.

Hope you like it!! Sorry it’s so late!! xx

Different night. Different bar. Same bullshit, childish excuse from your various dates. This was the third night in a week that you’d been blown off, and you’d had enough. You sat alone in your favorite little black dress at a dimly lit bar, scowling as you scanned the restaurant goers. Tossing back a rum and coke, you hardly even noticed that someone had joined you at the bar.

“Hey, are you alright, miss?”

A gentle voice chimed beside you. Snapping you out of your fog of anger and disappointment, you turned to face the inquiring stranger. Your breath hitched in your chest as you took in his appearance; piercing blue eyes, sharp features, stubble pricking over his jaw, plump lips and an impressive physique clad in a dark suit.

“ Yeah, I’m doing okay. Thanks.”

Your words were just above a whisper, and the man had to lean closer in order to hear them. He smiled softly, gaze meeting yours.

“ Okay then. Well, do you mind if I join you…”

“ Y/N.” You piped up. “ My name is Y/N. And not at all. You’re more than welcome to join me. I’m sorry, I didn’t catch your name.”

A grin spread across his rosey lips.

“ I’m Sebastian, and it’s very nice to meet you, Y/N. If you don’t mind me asking, what’s a pretty girl like you doing alone on a Friday night?”

Pink rose to your cheeks at his compliment, and you cleared your throat as he ordered a drink.

“ Got ditched by a date. I’ve been trying the whole online dating thing, and I’ve come to a conclusion…”

He quirked an inquiring brow at you from across the top of his glass.

“ Guys my age… suck!”

Sebastian snorted, almost shooting his gin and tonic through his nose. You laughed at this, and he joined after he finished his drink.

“ I mean, who knew that 25 year old guys still act like high school boys?” You continued, “They don’t pick up the tab, they don’t hold open doors or tell you that you like nice… and don’t even get me started on ‘em in the bedroom.”

Sebastian laughed as you giggled, hiding your blush behind a glass.

“ I’m very sorry that you got stood up tonight, Y/N. That fella is really missing out, if it’s any reassurance.”

His voice was low and raspy, and as you looked at him, you noticed that his baby blue eyes had darkened. Taking your bottom lip between your teeth, you asked,

“ What makes you say that? I’m just an average girl.”

Sebastian chuckled at this, smiling and shaking his head.

“Y/N, there’s not an average thing about you.”

His eyes traveled up your body, tracing every curve until his gaze met yours once again. You could not longer hid the color rising in your cheeks. Butterflies flapped wildly in your ribcage.

“ You’re absolutely beautiful. Cunning. Smart. Funny. If I had it my way, I’d like to show you off to all the boys who passed up the opportunity to know you. Show ‘em what they’re missing.”

You shivered as he place his hand on your thigh, gripping gently at the flesh. Your heart was beating so loud you were sure that the entire bar could hear it’s rhythm.

“ W-what are you suggesting, Sebastian?”

Your words were breathless, lips quivering as he smirked at you. He leaned in and whispered,

“ How ‘bout I show you what you’ve been missing with an older man? A real man?”

He placed a soft kiss on your neck, raising goosebumps when he sat back, a smug grin playing on his lips. Your heart fluttered. This was an offer you simply could not refuse.
